well, it was fun. thanks to those who signed, but i don't think this is going anywhere. i'm shutting it down.
So I know tons of Gaians are absolutely raving about the new layout. How awesome it is and how cool the new banner is.
But there are still those of us out there who really liked the old banner and layout.
Some older members may prefer an even older layout, which, if the petition is successful could be included in this new feature.
For us, this new banner is cumbersome, or perhaps doesn't fit in our browser, or perhaps they think it's ugly (not me, just an opinion) so this petition is to have an option on your user preferences, much like the profile style option, to chose between the "classic" or old gaia layout, the original we all know and love, and the new-fangeled thing that provides us with the new tools that many Gaians are enjoying.
This is not designed to bash the new layout and please don't bash me because I'm not a fan of the new layout. This is just to give us the option to choose which layout we like better.
We do it on profiles and on journals, why not on the general browser?
Please post saying you sign, don't pm me. and please don't quote the signatures, it stretches the page horribly.
I'll try to update as much as i can! If you like the petition, advertise! Tell your friends! We need to get this noticed!

I know some of my friend can't even LOG onto gaia because it's so damn slow with everything running on flash...my friend has slow wireless internet, and everytime anyone tries to log onto Gaia...as soon as the front page appears, it gives an error about being to slow and it shuts all the windows & tabs down (in firefox AND windows)...
Personally, I like the new layout, but I'd rather have a choice to switch between the two.. smile

i would love to do that, but i don't have a picture of what it used to look like, i didn't think to take one before they introduced the new one. sry. if any one has a graphic of the old layout please post it and i will add it to the original post!

It have been a while... I forgot what the old layout looked like lol. It would be neat if you post two images- one current layout, one- old layout.
So Gaians can look at both and agree or disagree.
