Welcome to Gaia! ::

**The Final Fantasy Forum Files** HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

All right, I have always wanted to try this out. Coming from AT talk I grew accustomed to the yearbook that was created to help forum members get to know one another better. I thought that it would be interesting and highly beneficial if Final Fantasy forum regulars as well as newcomers completed a standard "set of questions" pertaining to their love for the Final Fantasy games. It would be a great way for newcomers as well as regulars alike to get to know other members better, because they would be able to locate someone whom shares their same interests in the Final Fantasy games. Perhaps if this thread ever catches on, I shall include contests and an assortment of other things pertaining to the world of Final Fantasy.

6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: My father actually bought my first Final Fantasy game for me, so I would have to credit him for introducing me.
7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: The beloved Final Fantasy Six.
8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: I have completed FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10, and Final Fantasy Tactics. I am currently working on completing FF10-2 with a perfect score.
9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: I own FF5 (International), FF6 (International), FF7 (Japanese version and International), FF8, FF9 (Japanese and International), FF10(International), FF10-2, FFT.
10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: I have been playing since I was eleven and a half.
11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: Personally, I adore both the old and the new Final Fantasy games. Each of these games have their own endearing qualities that set them apart. Yet, I know that I can always count on seeing something familiar as the games advance.
12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): I adored FF6 and FF7 for their incredibly in-depth story lines and their memorable characters that seemed to come alive every time that I played. I enjoyed each and every plot twist as well as the beauty of each plot. The characters that appeared were realistic and began to remind me of people in real life. I could identify with their personal struggles, I and continue to love how the characters change as the story progresses.
13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): Wow, I thought of these questions and I can not even answer them. Well, off the top of my head my personal favourites would have to be Celes, Aeris, Zack, Rinoa, Jitan, Beatrix, and other characters whom attracted my attention due to their strong personalities. I found each of these character's personality traits endearing. Each one of them appeared to portray one of mankind's personal struggles. Despite constant hardship and obstacles, I admired how each one of these characters rose above them and continued to maintain hope as well as their obtimistic additude. These were the characters who provided others with hope even though they were struggling themselves.
14. Which games would you recommend to new players.: My personal reccomendation would have to be to experiment with each one. I am not going to push one particular game on somebody, instead I try to find the best qualities of each of the Final Fantasy games that I have played. There is no one Final Fantasy that exceeds all others despite common belief. When people ask me what game to start with, I usually ask them what they are yearning to see as well as their personal interest. Everyone has their own personal preference that I try to cater to when helping them pick a starting game.
15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? I would have to say for about three months now. I came here in May after I had completed my Secondary School finishing exams. Now that I no longer have to worry about studying, I was am to immerse myself in the forum and take full advantage of what it has to offer. I am still learning something new everyday that I come here.
16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: I love Tellah's Final Fantasy caption contest thread, Chi's "Sea of Randomness", and Sir Allen Owen's entertaining "Polls". There are other wonderful threads out there: You just have to keep your eyes open.
17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in: I believe that I am most knowledgable concerning Final Fantasy Seven and Nine. However, I am not going to say that I know everything about these games. Whenever I walk enter this forum, I am always challenged to rethink my stance on a subject and view all of these games in a new light.
18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: I have always been interested in characters in everything from novels to movies. The human spirit and the way that mankind handles himself in different situations continues to fascinate me. Thus, whenever I play a Final Fantasy game I love to see how each one of the characters developes as time progresses. Instead of focusing on a characters weakness, I try to focuse on how the character is able to rise upon it and eventually overcome his dillemas. I love Final Fantasy, because it presents us with some many unique personalities and mixed emotions. In a way, the characters begin to remind me of people whom I know in real life. Discovering how they will rise above their inner demons and the actions that they take to get their is the part that continues to intrigue me. In conjunction, I love reading so I must admit that I have rethought each plot line of the games that I have played over and over again.
19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: Be open to new experiences and do not be afraid to speak your opinion. Sometimes being wrong can show you a different path that you might not have discovered before.
Gamewise: Pay close attention to the storyline and the characters. It makes gameplay a much more rewarding experience.
20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) Like a teacher, I tell them about the stickies and duplicate threads. I believe that the best way for new forum members to learn is to ulimately learn from their mistakes.
21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: As long as this franchise lasts, I only know that their shall be more wonderful things in store. Alas, Final Fantasy must come to an end eventually. However, that does not mean that the great memories can not linger on. I truly believe that Final Fantasy shall remain popular as long as their are people with imaginative minds and the willigness to see the world in a different light.
22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post:
I am always learning something new each day when I enter this forum. People have compelled me to see things in a different light. There are so many layers to these games that make them so timeless. Hmm, perhaps my children will end up playing them one day.
~*~*To everyone who making my stay here great: I love yah! *Glomps*

YEAH, its me: User Image

1. Name (If desired): Mokkori

2. A.K.A :

3. Age: 16

4. From: Hilo, Hawai'i

5. When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games: When I was six or so and played Final Fantasy.

6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: No.

7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: Final Fantasy

8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: Final Fantasy I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, Tactics.

9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: .. I, II, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, Tactics.

10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: Depends on what you mean by how long. I first played Final Fantasy around six, but I never did like the original game, and never found interest in the Final Fantasy series again until after Final Fantasy VII was released. In fact, I plain forgot about the original Final Fantasy until VII was released because I sold my NES and all of its games--including Final Fantasy--in order to get an SNES when I was seven or eight.

11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: Newer games; anyone still stuck in the 8 and 16-bit stages are being held back by nostalgia and need to get over themselves.

12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): Final Fantasy IX, because it's so well-balanced, comedic, and likeable. It also undoubtedly has the best characterization in the entire series.

13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): This is hard. Probably Zidane because he's so witty and cool, or Wakka because he's so clueless and uncool--but he tries. xp

14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): Final Fantasy X is probably the best game to introduce people to the Final Fantasy series. It envelopes all that is good about the series into one game, and on top of that the storyline's genius while simplistic, so that new players won't be overwhelmed by the complicatedness Final Fantasy can often present. (For example, Final Fantasy VII.) Then there's the turn-based system, which will allow new players to take their time to figure out how everything works.

15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? A day.

16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: I like new threads.

17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in (Have the most knowledge about) Final Fantasy I, VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2.

18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: I know just about everything about the above listed games.

19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: Perfection does not beget entertainment; trying to get everything during your first playthrough will make you end up hating a game. Don't think, just play.

20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) We should put them in a time capsule.

21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: As fanboyish as this is, I want a Final Fantasy VII revamp or sequel. I would also like Europe to receive more attention and better conversion of the games; I really feel sorry for them.

22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: Giraffes.

3. Age: Old. Old like "WHOA". (20)
4. From: U.S.A.
5. When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games: When I was eight. I'd just gotten an NES a month or two previous (late on the trend train), and was slowly but surely building up my game library for the console. I don't remember which of us in the family actually got the game, but FFI was the first I played and the one I've played the most and for the longest.
6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: Nope.
7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: Final Fantasy I.
8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: FFI, FFVII, FFTactics, FFIX. I'm a slow player and I refuse to use strat guides, so I've only beaten a few of what I own.
9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: FFI, FFChronicles, FFVII, FFTactics, FFVIII (sadly--I hated it, and now use it as a coaster set), FFIX, FFOrigins, FFX, and FFX-2.
10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: Twelve years, off and on.
11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: Not really. I'd certainly go back and play my old NES cart of FFI rather than FFVIII, but the new games have their merits.
12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): FFTactics. The characters are endearing, the plot intriguing, the music crawls into your brain and stays there, the battle and job systems are solid, and it all comes together in a thouroughly enjoyable play experience.
13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): Sephiroth. To say exactly why I like him would probably get me committed, so I'll keep it short and sweet: I like the way he gets a goal in mind and goes for it, no matter what.
14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): FFOrigins, since you get both FFI and FFII for the price of one game. I'd also recommend FFVII, FFTactics, and FFIX--they're newer games with most of the elements that made the series great.
15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? Not long. In fact, I'd been here for about a day originally and then left Go-Gaia altogether, but now I'm back.
16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: T3h stickies. If more n00bs took a look there, the FF Forum would have a lot less clutter.
17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in (Have the most knowledge about) I'd like to say FFVII, but not really. I don't really do general game knowledge. Instead, I've developed a nasty habit of character analyzing the series villains. So, you could say I'm a Sephiroth expert, since he was the one I analyzed first and for the longest period of time.
18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: Sephiroth, Kuja, Tactics job classes, and how to make the most broken parties on FFI.
19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: Start at the beginning, and work your way from there. Play FFI. Know your roots.
20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) DEATH TO L4M3R N00BZ!!1one But not really. I may seem mean, but all those cutting remarks I make are there to educate those of the n00bish persuasion.
21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: NO MORE ROMANCE-CENTERED PLOTS! NO MORE FUTURISTIC/POST-APOCALYPTIC WORLDS! NO MORE YUNA!
22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: If I seem evil to you, congradulations--you've figured me out. I'm Jenova in disguise. XD

5. When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games: When I got a copy of FF7 for my birthday some few years ago
6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: Guess my dad did, since he bought me the game
7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: FF7
8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: I've only completed FF4 and FFTA
9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: FF1, FF2, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9, FF10
10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: Since whatever birthday it was that I got FF7
11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: I like FF2 and FF4, so older, I guess
12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): FF2 because the complex battle system added challenge, and I liked Maria as a character. FF4 because the story really sucked me in. I was the first 2D FF I played.
13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): Maria, FF2... She was such an interesting individual, and the CG video from FF Origins makes her look cute
14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): FF4 because of the simple way to play the game and the fact the party is fixed.. And it shows them you don't need polygons to be cool
15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? Since I joined Gaia.
16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: Tellahvision, no doubt
17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in (Have the most knowledge about) FF2 and FF4. And FF8's card game, Triple Triad. 3nodding
18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: minigames and characters
19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: Take it easy, just because someone told you that you can get the ultimate weapon in 20 minutes and complete the game at level 35 doesnt mean you have to...
20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) READ THE STICKIES! gonk
21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: Maria from the FF Origin cutscene as an action figure
22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: I sell flans and triple triad cards. 3nodding

7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (hey, I was six years old!)

9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: FFI-X, and FFT
10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: Technically since I was six, but I didn't really start playing till I was about nine.
11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: It depends on the game. Although my two favorite games are newer ones, I generally like the older games better.
12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): Final Fantasy VII, because it's just so classic. It's got the best storyline, and the best character development out of any game...I just love it so much.
13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): FFX Yuna, because she reminds me of myself. Most people think she's a wimp and weak and all that, but I think that she's really strong deep down inside. She knows what she believes in, and will follow the path that she thinks is right, no matter what comes in her way.
14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): Probably FFVII. Even though there's a lot of swearing and such, it's a really good game, and it has a pretty simple magic system.
15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? A couple of weeks. redface I've been here a couple of months, but I only found out about the FF forums recently.
16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: I liked the FF answering machine thread, and the Make up FF rumors thread.

19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: To the newcomers, this place is fun to bum around in, and to those playing the game for the first time, Isn't it AWESOME?
20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) Read the rules. Foo'. *grumbles*
21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: That it gets better...personally, I think it's started declining after FFVII and FFVIII.
22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: I've gotten loads of info from www.ffx2.com and www.ffxii.net, especially from the forums there. VERY handy, and if you like doing graphics, the ff12 site has some GREAT stuff.
nice idea.

11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: Older

11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: newer

12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): FF VII- I dunno why, but I find the world of Midgar and Shinra very interesting from a sociology major's perspective....Shinra, to me, is the embodiment of Marx's social class of the "bourgeoisie", and AVALANCHE as well as the Turks, in the end of the game, are the embodiment of the "proletariat", the working class that eventually revolts against the ideologies fed to them by Shinra.

When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games?: Before the release of Final Fantasy VII, some 8 years ago.

Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy?: My older Brother, Craig.

What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played?: Final Fantasy VII.

What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed?: Final Fantasy IV, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2, and Tactics.

What Final Fantasy games do you own?: Final Fantasy IV, VI, VIII, IX, X, X-2, and Tactics.

How long have you been playing Final Fantasy?: For 8 years.

Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games?: Not applicable. I favor both equally.

What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite?: Final Fantasy VIII. I enjoyed the storyline most from any of the games, as well as was most attached to the characters within the game, was most able to identify with a character from the game, and my life/outlook on life was changed more by this game/story than by any other up to that point.

What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite?: Rinoa Heartilly, Rikku, and Celes Chere. They're simply the type of People that I feel would be wonderful to know, as they would provide strength to those around them, and any time their friends/comrades despaired, thinking of them would be what would keep them going. People such as they would inspire the greatest things in others.

Which games would you recommend to new players?: Most likely Final Fantasy VI, because of how moving the theme of hope is conveyed, and how well everything in that regard to that theme is displayed. Also, because, in my personal opinion, the cast of the game is one of the best, and the player -- in my case, anyway -- will easily find themselves attached to these characters and be eager to see the resolution of each character's sub-plot within the game.

How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum?: Since February 15, 2004 (5 months, four days).

Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers?: Those Threads that are started by Sir Owen Axel, I suppose.

What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in?: Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and X are those I enjoy discussinog most, though my knowledge of each I have played is about equal, I would say.

What Final Fantasy things are you most knowledgeable about?: Storylines and characters.

What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time?: Level-up your characters a good bit, but not so much that you are unable to enjoy the game. Also, pay especial attention to every detail of the storyline, environment, the way characters speak or act, every unique item that you come across, and speak to everyone at least twice, and be sure to pay attention to what they say, also.

Most of all, though, try to enjoy the game however it is that you do so.

What is your policy on NoOBs?: I attempt to inform them of the Forum's rules, and will try to answer any questions they may have. It is my belief that those of us who are aware of the rules should do our best to act as teachers to those who do not.

What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise?: That it will continue as long as all parties concerned (the developers and the players) are benefiting from it, and are enjoying it. If one or both do not, then it is time for Final Fantasy to go to its resting place. After all, if the developers aren't enjoying it anymore, they're likely not going to put out things of wonderful quality that make the players enjoy it, anyway.

Like an author writing a book series, it should only go so long as there is a desire to read it, and a desire to write it.

Any last comments or other information that you wish to post?: Respect the opinions of others when they disagree with you on matters of what you and they like in regard to Final Fantasy.

1. Name (If desired): Malee blaugh

2. A.K.A : TifaG, Tifa Gainsborough, Malee

3. Age: 21

4. From: OR

5. When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games: Around the release of Final Fantasy VIII

6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: Nope.

7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: Final Fantasy VIII

8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: Final Fantasy VII and VIII (almost IX, until I deleted my file). The reason I haven't finished more is because I just don't have to time to sit down and play them all and complete them.

9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: Final Fantasy Origins, Final Fantasy Chronicles, Final Fantasy Anthology, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X-2 and Tactics.

10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: Six years.

11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: I enjoy both equally. I would never pick up a newer game over an older game because of graphic advances. I'm into plot, not graphics.

12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): Final Fantasy VII. I really enjoy the plot and exploiting the many plotholes. I will admit that it is not perfect and has many flaws. But something about the characters and the world really interests me. Especially the lesser known characters. Final Fantasy IX is another game I really enjoy. It can be serious but also has some fun scenes to lighten the mood.

13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): Zax from Final Fantasy VII. Even though you learn very little about him, his character really interests me. The actions that he takes. I like the fact that he could have easily left Cloud behind, but instead choose to take him with him to Midgar. He didn't have to and probably would have survived (I assume he would have made it there quicker without Cloud) if not for Cloud.

14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): Probably Final Fantasy VI. All of the characters were interesting and the plot was very nice. Besides, if you are going to play a Final Fantasy game, it is best to see if you will enjoy the layout of the game. Not just get drawn in by flashy graphics.

15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? I started in December 1st of last year. So about 8 months I suppose.

16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: The stickies. They can cover a lot of information and you might get a basic feel of the forum. Also Chi's random thread for the lighthearted aspects.

17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in (Have the most knowledge about) Probably Final Fantasy VII.

18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: Truthfully, I don't know.

19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: Just because you love the game and think it is the greatest ever don't mean every shares your opinion. Please respect that people don't like certain characters or aspects of games. Also, if you come in ranting and raving in response to somebodies opinion, be prepared for a backlash. I've noticed people don't take things sitting down here. But mostly, just respect people's personal opinion.

20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules) Try to politely explain to them the use of stickies and always be willing to answer any questions they might have.

21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: To stay away from sequels. But mostly, I just hope that they continue to enjoy doing the Final Fantasy franchise.

22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: Yes, I would like to take this moment to warn everybody of the new (now semi old) disease circulating the Internet. It is called the Yuffentine. Symptons include cuddling, high pitched giggling, loss of angst and tearing of eyeballs. Please protect yourself from this terrible disease. Report all Yuffentine victims to the proper authorities. blaugh

I doubt most people will get that, but it is worth a shot.
I think I'll try my hand at this, kupo.....

1. Name (If desired): ...Just call me Bohepans. Or...

2. A.K.A : ...'Bo' or 'Boh' for short.

3. Age: Almost 19 (Just give me two months...)

4. From: Texas, U.S.A., Planet Earth

5. When did you first hear about the Final Fantasy games: Erm, I'm guessing about, the summer between 7th and 8th grade. Aaahhh, memories...

6. Did anybody specific introduce you to the world of Final Fantasy: Yes, my best friend in real life, whom shall go nameless.

7. What was the first Final Fantasy game that you have played: Final Fantasy 7

8. What Final Fantasy games have you previously played and completed: FF 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, X, X-2

9. What Final Fantasy games do you own: 7, 9, X, X-2.

10. How long have you been playing Final Fantasy: By guess, about...erm...5 years. Perhaps a bit longer.

11. Would you consider yourself a favourer of the older Final Fantasy games or for the newer games: Probably newer. But I have nothing against the older games, seeing as I've only finished 2 of them and the rest, maybe started on ROM and that's it.

12. What Final Fantasy game(s) is you personal favourite (Please provide why): Final Fantasy X. Why? Though people complain, the featuring of real voices pushed it over the top, for me. I cried more tiems in FFX than any other FF games. A good storyline is probably one of the main reasons I play Final Fantasy games, and FFX just seemed to me to deliver the best of them all, evne if slightly confusing at times.

13. What Final Fantasy character(s) is your personal favourite (Please provide why): Well, deciding a single favorite would be tough; at least this one's open. First up, we'll have Auron. He had the coolest battle quotes, what can I say? And for outside of battle, he had the best words of wisdom. And he always seemed to know what was needed to be done, even if Tidus once accused him of sounding like an old man, true age not being considered. And hey, he was a legendary guardian. What's not to like? Then we have Tidus... Some accuse him of being whiny, some accuse him of being difficult. Really, to be honest, I didn't see much of that. Maybe a bit. Really, the reason I like him is because he's a lot like me. Soemtimes whiny, sometimes cheeful. Maybe tears come to him easily, but he's still strong, deep down. He can be a bit dense, like me, but still reliable. I have other favorite characters, but it's difficult for me to say exactly why they are.

14. Which games would you recommend to new players. (Please provide your thoughts): Well, perhaps Final Fantasy X. The storyline was a bit plotholed, but the battle system was very newbie-friendly, I think. I mean, the way turns are taken, you can really take your time and figure out exactly what you want to do, and see how much recovery time you'll have for taking certain actions. As well, pretty much everyone has a certain specific role, at first, in battles. That makes you more likely to raise everyone more balanced, in case you need a certain character's abilities later, or find yourself without a certain ally due to storyline reasons. I like this muchly. Towards the end, this slows up a bit, allowing you to not have to rely so heavily on certain allies. This, to me, isn't such a bad thing. I mean, at the beginning, it's good to get used to using all characters, wheras towards the end, it's kinda better to be able to not have to switch out characters for every battle. This is just my opinion, take it for what it's worth...

15. How long have you been participating in the Final Fantasy Forum? Well, I was here for a couple weeks, then gone for a while, and now I'm back again. Total time, erm, probably a bit over a month. Perhaps sitll a newbie, but already I've already made some friends. ^_^;

16. Which threads are your personal favourites and should be checked out by newcomers: Well, I only have one of these, but it has to be the "It's Character Hunting Season" thread. Heh, good for taking out your frustration on any Final Fantasy character you didn't like, good guy, bad guy, or even neutral guy.

17. What Final Fantasy games do you specialize in (Have the most knowledge about): Well, I'd probably say Final Fantasy X. I mean, I've completed two Single Character Challenges on it, of course using two different characters each time, even taking out all the Monster Arena creations. ...Well, at least the Tidus one, anyway; it's been a while since the Wakka one, and I can't remember if I ever quite finished up the Mosnter Arena in that one, but I still think it's quite possible. Anyway, yeah, I'd say FFX is my strong suit. ^_^; But I also have completed FF7 many times, and know a lot about that one, too. Maybe not as much as with FFX, but sitll a fair bit.

18. What Final Fantasy things (characters, bosses, storyline, strategy, etc) are you most knowledgeable about: Hmmmm, possibly strategy. I can farily easily defeat Ruby and Emerald WEAPON from FF7 without any KOTR or Mime business. Heck, I can defeat them without any summons at all. Trust me, it isn't so hard. And other enemies/bosses, I've also found a few unvonventional victory methods, here and there. With characters, erm, MAYBE I'd be good at explaining effective use, especially when it comes to FFX. Now, I know certain characters were sorta supposed to be assigned certain roles in battle, but there are ways to overturn that, even early on, as proven by the fact that I've been able to pull off a couple of Single Character Challenges. Bosses usually don't give me much trouble, but Ican attribute that to the fact that I level up a lot. ^_^; Storyline, uh, no. I'm horrible at expalining things, sometimes. n.n

19. What your best advice to Final Fantasy Forum newcomers and those playing the game for the first time: I'll tackle FF Forum, first off. First of all, be careful what you say around here. Flame wars can happen, no matter how many rules and consequences are set up against it. I personally haven't been hit by any, thank goodness, but I've seen it happen, so... Secondly, read those sticky threads first. If you make a thread that the sticky threads cover, oh dear, prepare to get flamed by the vets. I have nothing against the vets and all for telling people they shouldn't have made the thread, but I've not always seen it done nicely. So just be careful, okay? Thirdly, enjoy yourself! Some threads are mad in seriousness, but some are for fun (like the FF character hunting season thread), so kick back, relax, and stay a while. Now, for playing an FF game for the first time... That's a bit tough. First off, it's a but recycled, but yes, do save often. You never know if an enemy or boss will take you by surprise, of if you'll accidently do something like target your party with a spell or something that takes you all out. Yes, I know the latter seems silly, but I've done it before, and that really ticked me off. Secondly, speaking of that, be VERY careful when targetting spells and such. You don't want to accidently use an Elixer on your enemy, or a Death spell on yourself, or something. Trust me, it can happen. Thirdly, healing is important, but don't overdo it. You'll want enough HP to survive encounters, but don't heal everytime you take even 1 HP damage. When it comes to deciding between a healing spell or a healing item, it depends. For outside battle, healing items are better, as you dont have to worry about an enemy attacinkg you in the mean time. But in battle, healing spells are usually best, especially after a major attack, or after just reviving an ally. And on that note, let's move to revival of KOed allies. In any non-FFX game, reviving out of battle isn't so bad. Just use a Phoenix Down, some healing iteme, and you're on your way. In FFX, you don't even have to worry about that, as all allies are autmatically revived with 1 HP after battle. However, in battle is another story. When using a Phoenix Down to revive an ally, make sure you very quickly use a healing spell, or item if you'd really prefer, on the revived ally. Oftentimes, they aren't revived with very much HP, and won't survive an attack, so you'll want them healed quickly. And I think I've jsut about covered everything... Oh, one last thing. Enjoy the game! That's at least half the reason for getting a game, to have fun. So don't forget to.

20. What is your policy on NoOBs (Forum newcomers who do not read the rules): Since I'm not exactly a regular around here yet, I'm more tolerant. If I run into a newbie that makes mistake, and I'm the one who ends up having to correct them, I try to do so as politely as possible. Remember, folks, we were all newbies once, so we're all entitled to make a few mistakes without getting chewed on for it. Now, I do understand if someone is repeat offender of the same rule-breaking that they should be warned, but a total newbie that has only been on maybe a day or two can still forget a few rules, so I think they should be forgiven.

21. What are your hopes for the Final Fantasy franchise: Well, FFX-2 was a slightly disappointing sequel, but still had plenty of strengths. Really, I wouldn't mind more sequels AS LONG AS Square stays careful. X-2 wasn't a mistake, just a bit of an experiment, if you will. At least, that's what I think. Now, following this, I think Square should at least consider a sequel or so in the future, jsut as long as its done more carefully. Aside from sequels, well, I jsut have to say Square has yet to disappoint me, from the games I've played so far. Keep up the good work, kupo. No complaints from me.

22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: Yes, a couple of things, actually... One, I CAN be serious, but I can also be a bit random/hyper. ^_^; Please forgive me. But even despite this slight hyper streak, I can get defensive if someone wrongfully says ill of an FF charater I really like. n.n I try to keep strong emotions in check, but unwarranted insults can set me off on occasion. I only very rarely get mad enough to do anything...well...'explosive', I guess, so odn't worry about that. I'm just saying, is all, that I can get a bit defensive. I try not to, but it happens. ....Aside from that, not much else to say. I don't mind poking fun at some characters as long as nothing too serious is meant. I mean, heck, I even bumped off a couple of my favorite characters at the character kill thread. They're still my favorites, I was just having a bit of fun. Well, that's about it for me. Take care, ladies and gentlepeoples. And forgive any typoes I made. x.x I've been doing this for a couple of years and still can't escape certain typoes... ^_^;

22. Any last comments or other information that you wish to post: Not really, except for the fact that this is an awesome thread.
