Many years ago Capers lived in our world, and were traded and herded like any other farm animal, until it was discovered that, like the phoenix and unicorn, it was discovered that parts of their bodies could be used to create potent healing charms and potions. The poor tamed Capers were easily captured, and killed for these ingredients, and very quickly their numbers were cut down to a fraction of what they once were, hunters taking to trapping wild Capers for the high price they could fetch.
Soon there were very few Capers left on the earth, those who survived living in constant fear of the barbaric hunters, who were known to harvest parts from live Capers, then leave them to die. Seeing the poor creatures' plight, the great goddess of nature took pity on them, opening the veil to the other lands, lands unseen by human eyes, where they would be safe from harm. The remaining Capers gave their thanks to the Goddess as they hurried through the veil, and for their thankfulness, the Goddess blessed each them with a special gift, so that if they were ever to come under threat again, they would be able to protect themselves from any malevolent forces.
Ever since that day, Capers have lived in peace, and have thrived in their new lands, which they named Pacisa.
General Caper Information
Capers have 3 stages. Bottle, Baby and Adult.
The length of time it takes for a Caper to grow will vary according to the colorist's time restraints, though the general aim is for it to take around 2 or 3 weeks for it to fully grow.
Capers can be kept as babies for an unlimited amount of time using crystals from the fountain of youth, which can be purchased from the 'items' section. If you wish your Caper to grow after giving it the crystal, you will have to PM the mule to request it be removed. There is no way to reverse your capers aging process.

Currently there are only two breeds of Caper; Regular and Faerie.
Regular Capers cannot fly. The wings on their legs are far to small to support their weight. They are approximately 2 feet high when fully grown. Their coats can come in almost any pattern, and even their horns can vary in colour.
Faerie Capers are capable of flight, due to their smaller size and flight-enabling wings. They are approximately 1 1/2 foot high when fully grown, and have a much lighter bodystructure. They don't have horns, but have highly sensitive antennae instead, which they can use to 'feel' around themselves, warning them of nearby predators.
