Hmm.... Let's see... This would be more work, but would the masq ball be the time when we'd get the next versions of our cards?
Would it be possible to move the Useful Links section to directly underneath the Updates section, so that we don't have to scroll through five or six screens of Modern and Legend? I mean, those are two nicely written items, but the 400th time you see them, they start to wear on the brain...
And... Because I don't know where else to put this, I'll put it here AND in the main thread.
I don't think folks are really getting just how pervasive the servants are. These are full-fledged people, and we have (ballpark estimate, not canon) between 60 and 100 of these people in the castle at this point. They are always around. When you go outside, they're out there cutting the lawn. They might be three hundred yards away and totally out of earshot, but they ARE THERE. When you're indoors and you wander through the halls at night, they're out there with the mops and buffers. You wander through the kitchens, they're in there fixing food for themselves or for their masters.
Some of the only areas that don't see AS MUCH attention from them are the Arena and the Training Ground, because those are, when all's said and done, large patches of sand surrounded by heavy cement, that require no maintenance. The interior areas of the Arena, though, are probably serviced once every week or two, just to keep them from getting totally nasty, until and unless Sae brings in a dedicated Arena staff, which would of course be there FULL-TIME.
And you know what? When these folks aren't working, they're out having a good time! Unless an area of the castle has been marked off-limits to them, they'll be there! They'll be in the gardens, they'll be in the library, they'll be in the music room, they'll be in the toy room, even! Some of you have child servants, and they'll be doing childish things in their off-time. They'll be chasing the pixies or splashing in the water or playing tag in the hallways.
Hell, a lot of these folks are most likely also going into whatever the nearest town is and having a grand old time. The castle must pay them something, and by god they'll be out there spending it! These folks are for all intents and purposes more integrated into the locale than we players are. This is by design, of course, because we're playing inside the castle, but we have to bear in mind that the rest of the world is out there, and the servants know about it and participate in it. They are a bridge, a link, to that world that is currently being ignored. On purpose, in my case, but I want people to remember that even if they're NOT using that, the servants themselves would be. Castles are nice, but portable TVs and walkmans and god-knows-what-else will be showing up after a servant has been there long enough to get that first paycheck.
I realize this is a very large castle, but it is not SO large that the servants will not see you coming and going - and vice versa. So, c'mon, and think about it...
Eh. Okay, that's kinda rant-ish... But yeah... it needed to be said I think... I dunno. If you like I can remove it, Sae.
