Now that Urameshi Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei have each spawned their own fan threads, Kuwabara Kazuma has become the only main character from the manga and anime Yu Yu Hakusho not have one. (Partially, perhaps, because of the fact that he has a lot more bashers than fans.) Whatever your own opinions about him, welcome to this thread.

Although many call Kuwabara the weakest of the four main characters (as well as the ugliest and most idiotic), Kuwabara's role in the series should never be underrated. Despite the fact that he's human (another point bashers tend to focus on, believing that being human is synonymous to being terribly weak) and admittedly quite academically-challenged in the beginning of the series, he's actually stronger than most demons and preparing for a good college by the end. However, the personal importance of his honor code and his undying loyalty to his friends remain constant. It's easy to think of Kuwabara as a comic-relief deadweight, but think of how the series would change if he had never recklessly jumped into that portal to Maze Castle and become the first member of Yusuke's team.

im not one of his all-time fan, but i luv the guy, he's awesome. ppl have got to keep this open!! dude put it this way, he likes yukina, (hiei's sister) and he's yusuke's best friend, he's got a tough-a** older, and at the end the guy gives up fighting to get into Gai Tech High School and is going to take his college entrance exams. cmon that should be enough to talk about the guy!! xd 3nodding

A Kuwabara fan thread! Finally the little muffin cake gets some love! Wyndi, I said it in the YYH thread and I say it here, YOU ARE AWESOME. So is Michiko of course for sponsering the idea, but still, yays!

Kuwabara has to be the most under appreciated and under rated characters I have ever seen, and that makes me so sad because to me he is so cool. Come on, he holds his own in a tournament full of demons... Give him a little more credit people, PLEASE. crying

You know, I've actually always wondered that myself. I mean I think guys don't like him because he's not as strong, and girls don't like him because he's not as pretty... It really makes me wonder how many superficial Yu Yu Hakusho fans are out there. I mean, it's supposed to be what's inside that counts and for all of Kuwabara's stupidity he has one of the biggest hearts on the show.
He has done so many things for all of his friends, even when it looked like he wasn't doing anything at all. He's just... well he's just a big loveable doofus to me.
