So, basically, I've found that I just don't put as much time into this shop as I used to. So, I gave refunds to unfinished pet owners and am closing down. Thanks, everyone!

Right-o. Welcome to The Inking Center, where you adopt your very own abandoned inkbottle. I am Liza, the slightly insane owner of this place. I’ve wanted to have a shop for a while, so here goes.

This is Inky. He's meh bishie Inkblot who doesn't exactly grow (and, because of my stupid spazzy brain, was born on the wrong day). Yeahh.

.ABOUT INKBLOTS

From deep within the depths of therapy rooms, legal offices, and old classrooms, the abandoned residue in inkbottles begins to collect in a small sphere at the bottom of the bottle. These forgotten life forms mysteriously make their way to the underground Inking Center, where they’re free to thrive in a dank basement that mirrors their natural habitat with no risk of extinction due to angry dust-busters or ravenous trash cans. Here, all sorts of people who have always dreamed of a pet that comes with no responsibility whatsoever may come and pick out their pet to their hearts’ delight.

.
Inkblots begin as eggs of ink and hatch into a teardrop form after about a week. Their eyes form at this stage, but the gender is still unspecified by simply looking at them. Once they grow into a larger stage with legs after another week, their mouth may or may not become apparent (determining its gender). The mouth of females is visible, while it is not prominent in the least on males. Once yet another week has passed, the inkblot will grow into its next and final stage where its arms are now visible.

.maintenance
.
Inkblots are very low maintenance; they find their own food from the air inside their bottle, require no clean up, and can be carried around easily due to their inkbottle habitat. In other words, it would basically take a blundering idiot to kill one.

To celebrate the grand opening of this place, I'll be holding a flatsale. Whoosh! Anyhoo, I'm still working on layouting and such, so previews should (hopefully) be up by tonight after I do a few customs.

Inkblots will generally cost 750g through a flatsale.

Bottle add-ons can be purchased at any time and are small decals that are used to decorate an inkbottle.

All standard add-ons cost 100g, while customs cost around 250g. See the Ordering post to get these. More to come soon.

Oh, and lookie here. It's Inky to show you what they look like!

If you own two Inkblots (not if two people each own one), you have the option of connecting the two of them (and only two--no more than that). This will not affect the growth of either of them and costs 100g. If you want to disconnect a pair of already-connected Inkblots, this can be easily done for 100g.

Do you like one stage more than the rest? Do you want to change your Inkblot's gender? Now you can.

Right now, I am doing customs. Actually, until I get a better feel for the store, I probably won't have any flats or anything for a little while. Each custom will cost 850g.

When ordering a custom, you can choose: color of the Inkblot, color of the inkbottle, the gender, and whether or not you want to add anything extra.

Right now, I am doing breedings. Each one will cost 850g. Inkblots aren't like most creatures and can breed at any stage.

There will be one offspring per breeding (unless I introduce a special injection) and the color will somehow reflect the parents, though it will be random as to whether it will take after one parent or be a hybrid.

You get to choose the inkbottle color for the offspring and the name, but not the gender.

Inkblots, right now, have to be opposite genders to breed.

No. As I said in the rules, I decide who gets free ones (if anyone even does).

Are they RP-required?
.
Nope. For right now, they're not really even RP-anything. So yeah. Unless people request it, it'll probably stay that way.

Do you do pet trades?

Not right now.

Why hasn't my Inkblot grown to its next stage yet? It's been a week!

I'm only human. I try to update them as often as possible, but some may be delayed for a day or two. I'll do my best to update you all about when I'll be away or busy.

Can I reserve a flatsale pet?
.
Nope.

Can my Inkblot actually die?
.
Not really. However, if you get blacklisted, you have the option of either getting a refund or just continuing your Inkblot (but you will not be allowed to own another one). This is because of the new rules update.

Can I work here?
.
Nope. At least not now.

Once your Inkblot is completed, I will post it here. It will stay here until the trade is completed. If the trade hasn't been completed by the time the second stage rolls around, it won't grow. If it hasn't been picked up in six weeks, it will die due to lack of owner.

Growths will simply be posted in the thread, but there will always be a notice of that either in this post or in the topic of the thread.

It's not required, but I would love you forever if you saved the pet to your computer and uploaded it if you plan on using the link in a lot of different locations. Direct-linking is fine, though. (;

Right-o. If you break the rules, you get a warning. Do it again, you get landed on here. You also get here if you steal art (no warming). If you have an Inkblot, it will get taken from you without a refund.
