If enough people show interest in me starting a mailing-list, I will. It'll basically just notify people
when I open back up, when I hold sales and stuff, and when anything special happens. Yup.

You come to a shop, somewhat intrigued by the way it looks. Vines had covered most of the walls outside, as if a giant plant had swallowed the entirety of the building. There was a small area where a light shone through the thick foliage. Seeing the door, you walk in slowly.

A bell rings as you enter, and you look around. You notice a few cages scattered around, varying in sizes. There are shelves lining the walls with bags you assume contain food, and other shelves containing bowls, big and small.

"Oh, do come in, " you hear from the back room. "I so do love customers."

You jump slightly at the voice. It sounded sort of like a growl. You look to the back room to see a wolf person emerging from the shadows, a grin playing along her face.

"Welcome," she says, smirking. You can't help but notice her sharp teeth. "I'm Adrienne, keeper of this shop. How may I help you?" Her smile broadens, and you notice a glint in her eyes.

"Uh, hi," you say, watching her warily. "What exactly does this store sell? Some sort of animal?"

"Adrienne, who is it?!" you hear from the back room.

Adrienne's ears twitch and she turns slightly to the back. "A potential customer, Di!" she shouts back, annoyance in her voice.

You hear shuffling in the back and then another figure appears, this one a cat person.

You're astonished. The two people look almost exactly a like, except for a few details.

"Hello, I'm Diem," the cat person purrs, "but you can call me Di. This is, indeed, a pet shop. We sell a special creature called Youso."

"Yes, Diem and I found a whole den one day on a remote island. They're canine like creatures, but the funny thing is that they have wings."

"And," Diem added, looking at Adrienne, "their fur is the color of specific elements. They also seem to be gifted with magic dealing with that element."

"Well, can I see one?" you ask, somewhat impatient.

"See one?" Diem asks, her ears perking forward. She blinks. "Oh! Of course you can!" She smiles and faces the back. She whistles shortly and calls, "Skyte! Come here, please!"

You hear movement and then the clicking of claws in the backroom. Then, a canine-like creature steps out and looks at you with its black eyes. It's fur looks of fire, and flames seemed to be dancing on the tip on its tail and it's left leg. Your eyes were drawn to a green bangle on the fire shrouded leg. It was green in color. He glances to Diem and Adrienne, his head tilted slightly. "You called?" he asked, his voice deep.

Diem smiles at his and goes over to pet him. "Yes, Skyte," she says, scratching behind his ears to Skyte's joy. "This person might be thinking of buying a Youso." Skyte nodded and sat down, looking quite pleased at the attention he was getting.

"This guy," Adrienne explains, "was one of the first we found. He amazed us by learning our language so fast and he decided to come with us. We found a batch of eggs as well, and Skyte's den mates didn't mind that we took them."

"Lots of them die out in the wild anyway," Diem continued, now stroking the fur along Skyte's back. "So, in actuality, we were doing them a favor. So, when Adrienne and I came to Gaia, we decided to start a shop, selling these creatures. Hopefully, they'll all get good homes." Diem nodded.

"They made me come along and help them out a bit," Skyte said

Adrienne watched Skyte and Diem, and then looked at you. "They start out as eggs, strangely enough. The egg actually has pretty much the same colors as the Youso's coat. After they hatch, they're pups. The pups look pretty much like their adult Youso form, just they have gray eyes and you can see their pupils. And, of course, they're smaller than adults."

Diem stood up and looked at you, much to Skyte's displeasure. "Well," she asked, smiling, "would you like to adopt a Youso?"

"Sure!" you say.

"Well, let's show you the rules," Diem and Adrienne say in unison. It was a bit creepy.

They walk you to a small sign sitting atop the almost bare counter. Pointing to it, they again say in unison, "These are the rules. Read them carefully. "

General Rules
1. Don't harass others.
2. No Spamming. Bumping is alright, and actually encouraged. But if you spam, I shall be forced to attack you with my rubber chicken.
3. Be sure to read the front page. It actually answers a lot of your questions.
4. Don’t direct link your pet! Check back every once in a while to see if it grew. I have information on Youso ages farther down the page.
5. Don’t steal our art. We worked hard on this!
6. Be sure to supply your own penguins
7. Don't quote things 50 million times. It’s annoying and takes up space…
8. If you want to be affiliates, post in the thread. I’ll add you whenever I can. I love affiliates. ^.^
9. If you want a hamburger, go buy yourself one.
10. If you’ve made any buttons for me out of the goodness in your heart, feel free to PM them to me. ^.^ I’ll credit you, of course.
11. Only way now to get a Youso is in a flatsale or and auction.
12. If you think I should put something else up, post it in the thread. I’ll read all the posts.


Flatsale Rules
1. No posting orders before I say the flatsale starts.
2. No trying to make people not buy a creature.
3. No harassing! I mean none!
4. Don’t edit your post! If I catch you editing your post, you’ll be blacklisted!
5. Don’t whine if you don’t get one, or you don’t get the one you want… No one likes a whiner…
6. Be sure to bring your own swimming trunks.
7. Only one per person, per flatsale. You can buy one for a friend, but you have to let me know about it.
8. You absolutely cannot resell or auction off your Youso. You can sell or auction off your Youso’s offspring, but you must tell me. (more about that in the Breeding section)

KKNC! (myself. o.O; ) is in charge of the thread and does a good bit of the artwork. The Youso are her idea, thought up during a test at school. Har.

Diem and Adrienne
There's actually a long story about these two, surrounding KKNC! and her... erm... my life. (If you really, really want to hear about it, PM me. ^.^;; ) Di and A, asside from being the shopkeepers of this shop who act as if they're sisters, are two of my main roleplay characters... but the RP characters themselfs are completely different than how they're portrayed here. sweatdrop So yus.

Volpes
Volpes kindly offered her assistance when I told her my idea about the Youso. She has drawn some of the images up at the moment, and she is also helping me with an idea that we're working on now, the sole reason that the shop is closed now. ^.^

Rybus, who is my dear friend (whom I affectionately call, "Baka-chan" wink is my first official bumper. whee


I don’t really need any other staff members right now, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a few bumpers. ^.^; Official bumpers will get 200g a month... but I'll only take up to five official bumpers. If you really want to help out, PM me and I’ll see what I can do.

Halloween is approaching! I'm planning on participating in the Halloween Festival, having a few Trick-or-treat items up (including, maybe, a Halloween plushie, or even a little Youso), and perhaps even have the first new Youso for the Halloween raffle, with it Halloween elemental. Har. If I do have one up for the raffle, it won't mean the shop's open, though. Still have lots of work to do, I have. That... made little sense. In any case. Yes, I'm working on a Halloween Youso, and I already have a few plushies up at the Halloween Bizarre Bazaar. I have a few other things. They're listed under artist Diem Adrienne, considering... well, that's me. Eh heh.

So be lookin' forward to those things. Sorry things are being so slow. sweatdrop

Whoo! A month until my birthday. Not much has gone on in the store. I've been making plushies for the Halloween Bizarre Bazaar that'll last all of October. They won't be sold here, though. I'll provide a link when the HBB is up.
I made a second fire plushie with the different wing design. I'll be working on more plushies soon, since I've finished with the Halloween-themed ones for the HBB. That's going to be so much fun. ^.^

Muaha! I have a fire plushie for sale! ^.^ Joy and happiness. I had a few problems with it, so it took longer than I'd expected, but I finished. Yay! They have the green "sample" bands around one of their legs. Fun, that is.

Whoo! I posted that the flatsale's going to be Saturday, I haven't actually decided on a time, yet... so... yeah. Last night, I posted what I'm selling. Those three are the last of the individually drawn ones. After those are sold, my shop'll be closed for a while. Don't know when I reopen. School's very soon, and I'm not even finished with my plotting. ^.^
Bandcamp is going on this week. That's fookin' tiring! At least we have a nice band director now. ^.^

Unfortunately, I couldn't really do anything with the shop yesterday, as I got back around midnight. I might be able to do a little work on it today, and hopefully, I'll send out the pups today. ^.^;;; Sorry for delays. o.O;

These are my lists. ^.^ Three in all; whitelist, graylist, and blacklist. I’m hoping no one gets on the last two. But, there are some people… o.O;

You can get on the whitelist by just generally helping out and being nice an’ all. ^.^
The graylist is for first or second time offenders of the rules. They will be temporarily banned from the shop, meaning they can’t adopt a Youso, for themselves or a friend.
The blacklist is for repeated offenders of the rules. The people on this list will be permanently banned from the shop.
