School: New Moon Academy is housed in a 'U' shaped building composed of three halls and a central courtyard. To its left and right sides there are the four dorm buildings. Inside the school there is a hallway along the inner wall, with classrooms surrounding the outer walls. The student's lockers are along the innermost wall and accessible by them at any time. The only second level of the building is its Sparring Arena used by the Combat Class and is located above the Auditorium in the North-Eastern Corner of the building. The Library, located South of the Auditorium is the only room of the building with three floors, and has a massive selection of reading materials.
Campus: New Moon Academy has a very wonderful campus. Below the school itself is a large field. This field is somewhat windier then the rest of the campus, but the tall grass makes it a great place to lie down and relax. Below the Western Dorms is a large forest. This forest is thick with many trees and creatures, it is ideal for hiking, and the Working Elective and Medicine classes frequently enter these woods to classify and collect vegetation and other items. Below the Eastern Dorms is a large beach. This beach is very clean and covered in soft sand. Many students flock to it for the weekends and swim in its warm waters and to go on dates. To the North, however, is a large cliff encompassing the peninsula on which the academy is stationed and privately owned. The cliffs are off limits unless accompanied by a teacher.
Dorms: New Moon Academy has four dorms; Teacher Dorms, Boy's Dorm, Girl's Dorm, and Co-ed Dorms. These dorms are located to the east and west of the building, and offer many things that make living away from home easier. Each dorm has four floors, and a lobby below them for a total of five floors. Each floor has six rooms with two beds in each room. This gives total room for 192 people. Each room has a bathroom, living area, and large kitchen for cooking meals. Due to the Academy's flexible schedule no cafeteria was ever built, but in the lobby of the dorms there is a larger kitchen for students to cook for their peers. The Teacher Dorms separate the floors by gender. All male teachers on one floor, all female on the next. The student dorms are chosen by request, but patrolled by security to make sure no one is out passed the 12:00 A.M. (Midnight) curfew.
Courtyard: New Moon Academy's pride and joy is its wonderful courtyard. The courtyard is almost as large as the school, and perfectly taken care of by the Working Elective class. To its North-East and South-West are two large flowerbeds with any flowers students choose to plant. From roses to Venus fly traps they are all there. Nicholas has planted many ancient endangered plants which are not to be touched by students. The mass of the courtyard is a short grass field with paved pathways. In the center is a large gazebo big enough to fit one hundred people. To the North-West and South-East of the gazebo are two large fountains the same size as the gazebo. The fountains have a large circular platform in the center surrounded by four smaller platforms. Water sprays from the edges of the larger platform creating a wall of water. The the fountains are often used as swimming pools due to their twenty foot depth, and large spacious area.
Library: New Moon Academy's Library is the only part of the building that has three floors. The central floor is the one that includes the checkout desk, located near the entrance. The central floor also includes most fiction, fantasy, and romance novels. The lower floor is off limits to students as it keeps all records of students and the spell books that are not to be used. The upper floor is open to everyone and is full of books of all kinds. It contains the nonfiction, School Related, Magic, and even books written by students. No food or drinks are allowed in the Library
New Moon Academy offers four core classes, and four student chosen elective classes that make up a student's schedule. The reason 'NMA' is revered as one of the most prestigious schools is because there are no set class times. Students will often just drop by a teacher's classroom and learn a lesson. As long as students pass their quarterly tests, they will be sent to the next grade level. Because of this flexibility many students enroll and NMA shows among the highest test scores in the country.
