First of all allow me to say welcome to one and all! Now Seconly please allow me to explain the purpose of this petition.
What do we want? We want to see developed some equipable items based on the styles seen during the Regency Era (circa 1790-1820) In England and France, also sometimes known as the Georgian Era. We want ladies' and gentleman's hats, shoes, clothing and accessories made that are reasonably priced and available for the masses. There are people out there who love Jane Austen, and the movies based on her books, that dress in these costumes in real life. Wouldn't it be great if we could dress our avatars to go to Jane Austen tea party in Gaia Towns, or for a Christmas Ball at Netherfield? Oh and when do we want it? Now!!

OMG YES! For the girls, the outfits you post are NOT my favourites; but the guys' ones are great.
Gaia seeeeriously needs more historically-based outfits. They release some every so often, but they usually manage to be ... completely off the mark. I'd kill for -- I don't know how they'd release it. Maybe as a Dickens set, they might play to the Austen/Bronte crowd (Jane Eyre is my favourite) but SOMETHING. I'd love to have an Artful Dodger cosplay. My favourite historical time period and area for costumes is 1880s England. (Would also kill for ability to cosplay Treves. Merrick seems somehow unlikely.)

Dear Catie_Matie,
I would be honored to add my signature to your petition requesting Regency-Era clothing. I do hope if the terms of said petition are met, the clothing will include those forms of attire employed by those of the lower classes as well as uniforms for the medical community! I would love to see doctors who aren't scampering about in modern clothing!

I agree that we do need more historically-based clothing on Gaia. The women's dresses look a bit shapeless, and I fear another item like those dreadful Egyptian gowns (good idea, horrid execution), but I absolutely adore North Sailor's edit of the gown. If Gaia can take it's focus off of the Cash Shop long enough to make a quality item with the lighting, shading, and rich(er) colors like what is shown in that edit, then I am all for it. I can definitely think of a few uses for that dress.

I would like some more in future, so if there are any artists who would like to donate some edits, or allow me to buy them at a discounted rate, that would be marvellous. For now, though, I do have some beautiful pictures that were in original period magazines, and a few photographs of surviving gowns and gentlemen's suits.
