Welcome to Gaia! ::

Lamar is just a small city in the present day. Not really any large buildings, but plenty of shops around. Around the town are more rural area's with a lake just outside of town in a heavily wooded area.

This is planned to be a private RP, but if you really want in, PM Lunaelf or I please. Otherwise, I'd rather if you don't post.
Kain Nigel followed the path, his eyes firmly placed on the ground. All day he had been kicking himself, not that he needed it. Ice dripped from the pack he held to his stomach, the fight eariler had not been a good idea, but then at least he got a free meal out of it. To try and get one from home would of been more dangerious. Thankfully the day was cloudy stopped the light from blinding him. It was just possible to see through the carefully placed blindfold, not that he cared. Kains sight was superb but he couldn't use it and so over time devolped his other senses more carefully, relying mainly on sound and touch. He pulled himself onto a street wall over looking some of the more busier shops in order to think. How was he going to explain the brusies this time? He sighed, regretting this straight away. The pain was near unbareable. The demonic creature seemed unoticed here, it was a strange feeling, there was no-one poking him or running away. He had even managed to skip the bus. Where they scared of him? If they were he couldn't blame any of them.
Danny walked past some of the busy shops in town. He was looking for a small, usually deserted shop at the edge of the area to pick up a few odds and ends. He needed some ingredients to mis up a few of his personal favorite concoctions. But the only place he knew where to get some of the ingredients was this small shop no one knew about. He carried two daggers with him, hidden on himself as well. He never went anywhere without them. He usually carried a poison to apply to them to, but he had no longer had any of his personal favorite. It had been a while since he left town, so he planned to venture out a little once he was stocked up. A good adventure is always exciting but dangerous as well. Especially since he heard rumors of something strange around.
A cool breze forced Kain to shiver, great more pain. He lifted himself up from wall slowly. Water trickled down and joined the mist he called his feet. Looks like more ice was in order...maybe some painkillers too. He winced and headed towards a near empty store, he had a few spare coins that might buy him something but not enough for it all. Slowly Kain opened the store door, sensing carefully. He was being watched, great, that proberly meant cameras. No stealing the extra's this time. Moving into socity was one of the worse things he decieded to do. The store smelt of stale biscuits not that it bothered him, it was almost familar now. As the door closed a small bell rang annocencing his arrival. If that wasn't enough a shop assitance welcomed him. Were they like this to every customer? He moved about the aisles slowly, reading the scents the shapes. The trouble was he couldn't read the boxes.
Walking into the small shop, the usual bell rang announcing Danny had entered. He recieved the usual greeting from one of the workers as well, who were always kind the the patrons of the shop. Though when he looked around, he saw an unfamiliar person. Usually he recognized the people in this shop after coming here so much. Perhaps it was just someone he came a lot and he never noticed, but Danny sensed something about him. He tried to ignore the new one and look for what he needed. It may have been easier had the store arranged things consistently, for he failed to understand their method of arranging things. While moving around the isles slowly, he picked up two different things, but had yet to find a rare herb he needed.
Kain looked turned rapidly as the bell went. He heard the greetings once more and calmed down slightly. His hand gripped on strange shapes, ones he had yet to learn and pass on towards the next, further and further along he went, the air space between him the customer less and less. He felt something cold below him - the freezer most properly, and something strange smelling above. Kind of like roses. He moved away slightly, not one for flowers. Fluttering his wings slightly he moved forward once more and dipped his had into the freezer. "Arg" it was cold. At least this one wouldn't leak on him. Kain wrapped it up in cloth to take away the burning sensation from his hands. He turned into a tighter air space looking for someone that might be able to help him find the pain killers. It wasn't like he could forget them now. Unlike most politer people the boy was already uses the pack to ease the pain, nothing was for free, he would have to pay for it, but how was beyond him. Deciding to wait until the last minute often worked.
Passing near the area of the new guy, he thought he saw what he was looking for near him. Though Danny still felt that this was an odd presence for the shop, he hesitated to approach further. Danny slowly inched closer, trying to appear to be looking at the products on the shelves in the isle, picking things up and putting them back frequently. He feared it was perhaps too frequently, for he did not seek to draw attention to himself. His periodical glancing up may have seemed suspicious too, so he tried to do so less, but only found himself looking up more and more instead. Danny wondered if this new customer was up to something suspicious, for such happenings wee known to occur in this store.
The other was moving so fast. It was getting annoying and dangerious, he was here then there, and then here again. Sometimes all at once, it was making his head spin. Kain took a step back from it all cluntching his stomach through the ice pack. Another bad idea - "Ooof" he groaned as he walked into the one causing so much trouble. Great, now he would have to waste more time on this than trying to pay. This was his lucky day - not. He turned around to try and face the humaniod but could of quite easily been facing thin air if he had decided to move anywhere. "Im sorry sir, i should be careful" he said trying to force all blame onto himself. If it goes right then this may work to his advantage. But there was always failure, even if it seemed far off, it was really all too close to its next victum.
Suddenly, as he was making his way down the isle, the guy he was trying to avoid had bumped into him. The one who bumped into Danny attempted to place the blame on himself. "Perhaps you should." Danny said, still sensing something strange about him. Danny had no intentions of moving, he was waiting for the other to make his first move.

Kain was a little taken aback, he wasn't expecting such a blunt responce. He took a few steps back and held out she hand. He may of been a street theif but he wasn't going to be rude one. "Kain Nigel..." he offered hoping for a name in return. The next reply was going to be the most important to him. It was going to tell him what this guy really thinking, or at least he hoped, he only based it on good people and bad people. Although Kain considered himself neither of these, there was no count for him.

Danny was quite surprised at the offering of his hand and name. "Danny," he said, shaking the man's hand. He was still attempting to figure out this man, what brought him here. However he still was unable to determine anything about him. "What brings you here?" Danny inquired, keeping an emotionless voice as he asked.

"Well, i need a little help in order to heal sometimes....not always as easy to get away as you may think" he answered smiling. This guy was uncommon, what did he have to hide? Well maybe a little of his openness would find a way to get through, or maybe not - what did it matter? "Danny...." he repeated to himself, something he had picked up off Bethan. Kain had a firm grip on the ice pack....talking took a lot out of him after a while, although he was getting used to the pain. Maybe, just maybe he wouldn't need the painkillers after all. That would save some trouble. "And you?" he asked trying to make a little convasation while deciding on that all important question.

Danny wondered what exactly the man had gotten away from, but decided to just leave the topic alone at the moment. He hadn't quite expected the man to be so open when answering though, so Danny was quite stunned at the answer. Answering more politely than he said been earlier, he said, "I'm getting some ingredients for something." He did not want to say too much, so he left out what he was getting ingredients for. Even if this man decided to appear so open, Danny knew he should be careful.
Kain face brightened slightly. "Oh are you cooking or one of those that like a little spell craft?" he asked curiously. The pitch of his voice, changed as he spoke shows his interest well. No need to lie this time. He started to move the convasation towards the counter as he really didn't want to be here too long, the assitant had already started to listen in as she labelled cans. Maybe she wanted to join in....it seemed like the place but then he didn't want to too well known he. He coughed to himself casing pain to surage throughout it. He winced again and brought his positure back to its orginal form. The keeper saw this only giving a glance in his direction. He moved a something from under the desk and carried on with writing in a small pad. Proberly profits and losses, this would be a little harder than expected. Kain scolded himself on the inside, 'jumping to conclusions AGAIN?' he was getting worse not better over the years.
Danny smiled at his interest, replying, "I've dabbled a little in the craft." It was true, he wasn't advanced in anyway at this particular skill, but he did have some slight knowledge he used to his advantage. Of course, he could not compare very well to others more advanced in spell craft, but he was proud of himself none the less. "You don't sound to well." Danny said after the man had another surge of coughing.
