Introduction

Welcome to the brand new AT adopt a newbie thread. This thread was originaly made by [vi]x2 section wich was later taken over by Nakago_Chan. Well They ended up not having the time for it to make it work and keep it updated. So I know have been given the permission to re-make thist hread yet again and hopefully this time it works out.

Now, what is the adopt a newbie program you ask yourself. Well the adopt a newbie program is an opportunity for newbies to avatar talk to have some help and get showed around a bit more by the regular members who visit AT. This is not, a charity program! Do not think by joining this program you will recieve gold, items or anything of the sort.

How It All Works.

Step 1: Fill out appropriate application
Step 2: Wait for PM aproval of the adopting process, once both are confirmed you will of been officialy adopted.
Step 3: Make sure to keep in touch with your buddy you will be expected to cheeck in with candycrack once a week either by posting here or PMing me. If you do not your adoption will be terminated.
Step 4: Once you feel your buddy is ready to of graduated please inicate so either Via PM to candycrack or by posting it on the thread.

September 30th 2004
-Some Adopters Have Been deleted from the list, due to recen inactivity of them in AT. sweatdrop If you feel your name has been taken down and shouldn't of been please fill free to fill out a new one.
-Requirements for adopters have slightly changed
-More HELP in the Cheeck-In Assistants Department is wanted.

AT ADOPT A NEWBIE NEEDS MORE HELP. I myself have found my life chaotic as of right now, and way too much has gone on in my life this past week, and my staff members seem to be slipping away. More positions are going to be created, and more help is going to be needed.

If you like AT adopt and wish to help and support it please PM candycrack.

Candy has gotten busy as of late, RL has just picked up lately. Look for a newer improved AT adopt a newbie with much more help and an easier way of speeding up the processes.

Anyone who has happened to of posted on this thread Durring the July 4th weekend, possibly even some on the second as well... Ive been gone all weekend so please either re post or PM them to me.
ADOPTERS: Please rember to report to be the status of your newbie... let me know how thier doing, if your still in contact with them[most important of all.] and stuff along those lines. Please PM the reports to candycrack.

Q: How to I become a staff member?
A: By PMing candycrack, with the following information. Whay you want to help. As well as wich postion you would like, *you may choose more then one position.*

Q: What exactly does staff do?
A: Staff will be expected to help bump the thread, and answer questions. [general assistants only jobs, all other postions reqire the above two things as well.]

Application Assistants: Are expected to help go through and post up adopter applications and help with the adoptee applications as well. Applications will be PMed to you. You will also be required to access the mule account to update information in the thread.

Check In A Director: The cheeck in director will be required once a week, to send out PMs to the cheeck in asitants to see how the adoptions are going. This person will then terminate any adoptions that need to be, also gradute those who are ready. heart

Check In Assistants: You guys are excpected to keep up with our adopters and adoptees and find out how thier status is. Will be requred to PM adopters.

Contest Directors: In charge of organizing contest. You will also be required to access the mule account to update information in the thread.

Charity Directors: In charge of our charity events. You will also be required to access the mule account to update information in the thread.

Q: Am I expected to be an Adopter as well?
Yes. I would appreciate it if my staff actualy participated in the program itself. You also will be required to fill out the Adopter Application as well.

Member for at least 2 Months
You must be able to be on for a decent time almost everyday or at least be able to cheeck in to gaia a few times a day.
You have been seen around AT frequently

Q: Why Do I have to fill out the application?
A: The Application is here to help us get to know you, and to match you up better with your adoptee. It will also be posted in the Adopter section.

Q: What is expected of me?
You as the Adopter are excepected to get to know your buddy and help then learn the ropes of the AT as well as help them with thier style.

Q: My adoptee has seemed to disapeared.?
A: Well before giving up on them completely try PMing them and finding out what they have been up to... If the problem persist, notify me and they will be deleted as your buddy and knocked out of the program.

Q: What qualifies my adoptee to be a graduate?
A: When you feel your adoptee is known pretty well by some people in at talk. When you feel they have improved thier fashion sense. When you feel they know the basic rules and how to of the AT.

Adoptee

Q: Why Do I have to fill out the application?

Q:what does the adopter do for the adoptee?

Why you want to help: I want to help because I was a newbie in Avatar Talk once, too. Going around to one rating thread after another just to get some help or Avatar Fashion Advice was a pain in the royal a**, sometimes. A Little About Yourself Please: Well, I'm 18 and live in New York City. On Gaia, I have a detailed rating thread that's been pretty successful the past month and a half its been up (nearly 250 pages O_O) and have been known to lurk and occassionly post in the Extended Discussion Forum and Writers Forum. Why you want to help: I feel bad for people who get flamed and such for things they don't know much about. I feel that AT should be a friendly place and that everyone should be accepted; none of this "I'm better than you!" stuff. Why you want to help: I'm willing to do just about anything to make the AT a better place. I think helping a newbie transcend to a higher status would help them and the AT. Plus, when I started out in the AT I would have loved to have been adopted.

What is the unwanted uncommon's drive? Well the unwanted Uncommon's drive, is a drive where you give us those dreaded uncommons you can't stand. Im sure its happened to you, you get a trunk and out pops a hockey mask or some other horrid item you just can't stand and all they do is collect dust in your inventory. Well here's your oppertunity to give those unwanted uncommons to a good cause.

PRIMARY TARGET: Hockey Mask
The most hated uncommon of them all.
