This is a journal for Flamefire123 to use as she coaxes her Fenthry out of its feather and has lots of fun adventures with it.

Nightstar
The black feather suddenly flies up into the air, motionless but for the ascent. It barely pauses before turning and floating toward the ground, tip pointed straight down. Just before it hits the ground, though, the feather is engulfed in a bright flash of light...and a small black child, barely four inches tall, is left on the floor. His dark coloring gives him the appearance of a minute winged ninja.

After returning home one day, you are surprised to find two packages on your porch. Both are around one foot in height and eight inches in length, whichlets you know right away whatever is inside each box is the perfect toy for anything under a foot tall.

One of the boxes is a soft blue with a red bow, it is adressed to SkyFire. The other box is a greyish-blue with a dark blue bow, which is adressed to Nightstar. Upon opening SkyFire and Nightstar's boxes you find a note and two little sock-made plushies.

Nightstar...
That's his name, the name of my second fenthry, my second journal and my second journy. Now Skyfire is still alive and well but I could not just let this feather get away. He is black with a dark grey star near his black stem and a little higher then the middle of the feather is a thin band of the same dark grey. About an inch or two above that band is a band about an inch or two band of the same dark grey. Also that inch or two between the two grey bands is a band of very dark blue, it's very pretty. Then the tip is black with two diffent size less then perfect circules that look like reflections. He is wonduors, he reminded me of the darkest night with that glimer of light from the stars. That ray of hope when all is gone wrong, the light in the dark my Nightstar.

I keep on wanting to call him Nightfire though but that was a cousin of my name. It would name my Nightstar that but his star almost forbids me and my cousin was a girl. I feal werid nameing him that, so he's my Nightstar. I know Skyfire will love and I can hardly wait till I can show him to Mr. Trizt but that wont be till Tuseday. I am so glad that Louhi gave me a different journal for Nightstar I really wanted a sperate one. Oh my heart is rising from the joy of it all I now have two wonderful fenthrys and I can't wait till I see the simlaritys and differentces of Nightstar and Skyfire.

I spent most of the day at the fenthry shop waiting for Louhi who arived late during the night. I met two new owners and I think they will make great owners. I met one who I don't think will be a good owner but she seems to think that all fenthrys are perfect which stops her from picking one to love. I liked a lot of fenthrys but only Nightstar and Skyfire spoke to me the way that made me have to have them. Well it's getting late and I have to write an entry for Skyfire journal. Till I can write again

Nightstar...
Well right now I'm eating breakfast and this urge to wirte took over me. I don't know what I'm going to write for my second entry in this journal, I wrote what happened last night, last night. Well then I spose I should write what happened after I was done writing. Nightstar's first night home, let me tell you I noticed differences right away.

Well after I wrote in Skyfire's journal I turned the light low for her to continue to sleep. Skyfire still dose not like the light that much, anyway I had Nightstar on the table next to me. Under light, just like Skyfire sleeped when she was a feather but as soon as I turned the light down low and settled into sleep I heard something. It was very faint and sounded like the wind russling though something, so I looked over at Nightstar.

His barbs moved like he was in the middle of a twister, he almost jumped off the table but a caught him and turn the light back up. All the comtion woke up Skyfire, now we both thought that Nightstar was afriad of the dark and Skyfire wanted to help. So she grabbed Nightstar and took him over to her bed. Tried to settle him in where he faced the light but everytime the light hit him he freaked out. Then it hit me! He didn't like the light so I walked over and took Nightstar and placed him under this small blakent that I sowed when I was a child. He calmed down as soon as they was no more light. I then explained what I did to Skyfire and went to bed, with new information in my mind.

Well I think I'm going to go out for breakfast, till I can write again.

Nightstar...
Well what better way is there to end a nice breakfast then with a good write. Last night I went to the store and saw Twizzler there, Ombre emerged! She is so pretty and such a lovely black color. I hope that Nightstar will emerged to today, I really hope. Last night I got alot of complemtents on Nightstar, few words like handsome or dashing. I have no idea what Nightstar will be like when he emerges, what I hope he will look like is black with his little grey stars all over him but I bet he will only have one like now. I really can't see him in child form yet but I'll sit and wait.

After I came home from the store I decied to give my fenthies a bath, with Nightstar I was very careful and used a rag. With Skyfire I took this fancy soap dish, it's looks like an old silver bathtub, filled it with warm water and some soap. Skyfire loved it but Nightstar seemed to not like it at all, oh I thought I heard him sigh today. It was during the walk after the boy left but I couldn't tell if it was sigh of relife to sadness. Nighstar feather barbs seem a little bit less soft then I rember Skyfire's were but they are still silky soft.

Skyfire wanted Nightstar to sleep with her last night and I let her but she had to sleep in the dark. She was very brave and I heard her talking to Nightstar for long after the light was turned off. Nightstar seemed to like it, this morning when I woke them up he moved his edges like he was sighing but I heard no noise. Anyway I have to get to work, I must show Nightstar to Mr. Trizt. I bet that old man will love him, till I can write again.

Nightstar...
I just got back from work and my heart is still racing, I almost lost Nightstar! Oh I feal like a terible owner and gaurdian because of that. I was so worried when I relized that I lost him. Now I'm getting a head of my self, I should start from the begining. I was at work and I was putting away some books, Nightstar behind my ear and Skyfire some where. When I saw a book I was thinking about buying, so I thought I sample it. Read the first chapter that's all, well I am buying the book now. By the 2 page I was caught in the story, when I read a good book I get closer and closer to the book. Well when I heard a noise, I jumped and closed the book after Nightstar fell into the book. I put the book away with out realizing that I didn't have Nightstar.

Well it took me about an half of hour before I realized that I didn't have him, so I hunted all over the entire book store before I found that book. It took me about the longest hour of my life. I was so scared and Skyfire was so sweet helping me look everywhere for him. At last when I found him I was so happy, I wouldn't let him out of my sigt for the rest of the time I was at work. Even right now he's right next to this journal, Skyfire is petting him like to make sure it's Nightstar. She was so helpful, well I'm going to write in her journal. Till I can write again.

Sadly and disptie my hope Nightstar did not change last night, oh I really did hope that he would. Oh well now I must hope for today, well to tell the truth I hoped to fine a child in place of his feather when I woke up. Skyfire dosen't know that when Nightstar is going to change but I can only hope that she is their when he finaly dose. I have a small vision of how he will look like when he turns child but it changes so fast in my mind I can never get a clear image. Some times he looks just like Skyfire but with male diffences and other times he looks like a stary night with a new moon. Oh I just can't really see it, which is fine with me then he will be a surprise and that's what I want.

Nightstar is so much quieter then Skyfire, a lot less animated, Skyfire was always moving her barbs and I could hear things that I was sure was her but Nightstar is so easy to forget that he's there. Maybe I should of called him Bulter because that what he reminds me of. He's around when you need him but gone when you don't. Which would be nice but I want to get real feel of him like I got with Skyfire, I felt like I knew her when she came out of her feather but Nightstar? Not one bit, well that just makes me write more so he can come out faster, I think I teach him some maners, some midievl ones. He strikes me as a lord and gentalman. I'll aks Mr. Tritz about some books on the subject when I get to work.

Another thing about Nightstar, he seems to be more fine with getting dirtty then Skyfire was. Like one time he sliped from behind my ear, another thing he dosen't like being so high like Skyfire did, and fell to the ground but he was completly fine with the large pile of dust he fell into. I was sweeping, I decided to stop wearing him behind my ear he apperently dosen't like it. I think I'm going try and rige up a necklace but what if he he can't change? Oh I don't know what I'm going to do, probly just hold him but that' begging for me to lose him. Well I got to go to work soon and Skyfire journal awaits. I'll write after wok, till I can write again.

Nightstar...
Ahhh just got back from work, on the way there a terible thing happened! Skyfire was attacked my dogs with the dumb owners. Oh it thought I lost her, I caried Nightstar a little to tight when I didn't know where she was. Also I been thinking that he dosen't like being behind my ear but sadly I had to keep him there once I got to work but he seemed fine with it. Not that happy though. He seems alot happier now that he's sitting right nest to my journal, he dosen't like being on the ground but he dosen't like being high in my hair. I don't know what he do when he's becomes a child, oh I can hardly wait! I really hope it's today, Skyfire changed after 6 entries in her journal and this is Nightstar's 6th one, so I hope he will emerge soon after I'm done. I of course want to make it long and full of him, so I must think of other things to write about.

Well when I got to the store I asked Mr. Tritz about books on lords and ladys of Midievil England but sadly I found only one small things on them and though intresting not what I wanted. I wanted to know about their upbringing, what they were taught and how long they learned. I wanted to learn about what they were taught for maners, becuse I want to teach Nightstar those things but I doubt he instred. He still reminds me of a butler which I don't want. I want Nightstar to always be there like Skyfire, not to ever be lost in the croud. Well first he must become a child before I'll truly see weather or not he will act like. I wonder if like Skyfire he will find some he will form a crush on.

I think it would be nice if Ombre and Nightstar got togeather but I doubt it. Ombre emerge two days before today and that's long time for fenthry children. I also wonder what he will do if he dose, Skyfire just wants to spend all her time with Sage when he's around and wants to be alone with him but Kurenai and Pirate they want to emerge themsevles with everyone and spend special attention to each other. I think that Pirate and Kurenai are cute togeather and I will never forget that one night. Well I got off topic, this journal is about Nightstar not Skyfire.

Nightstar seems to like the light but not when he sleeping, he like's it dark as dark can be. I biult him a little house out of biulding blocks and he seems to like it. I placed his little bed as far away from the light as I can get and even then I place a blanket over it, other wise he wont sleep. It will be nicer when he is a child then he will be smaller and easier to fit somewhere. Oh well till that time, I will write later, hopefuly with news of a change with Nightstar. Till I can write again.

Still he has not hatched, oh I wish he would hurry. I so want to see him in child form, to really get to know him. I thought I knew Skyfire when she was a feather, then she emerged and I truly got to know her. Plus Nightstar is so quiet it's hard to write stuff about him, Skyfire is so up frount that' it's easy for me to get side tracked. I realy hoped to show Mr. Tritz the child Nightstar. Maybe becuse I'm so ready for it so happen that it's not. I need to be more patient, he will come in his own time.

Well last night Skyfire went to bed early last night, still scared from her dog attack last morning. So I made sure to spend a good solid hour with Nightstar and me. I figured out, dispite the fact he dosen't like to stay behind my ear, he loves to float down to the ground. Like Twizzler said she did with Sage. He seemed to love it, his barb were moving like they were in a wind storm. After doing that for about 15 minnets I decied to just talk to him, like I did with Skyfire. I told him my faults and some story idea's I was toying with. He seemed to realy enjoy it, when I told him of a stroy idea that I really like he made me feel like he agreed with it. The reason I'm so impatient is becuase I loved spending that hour with him and I can only image what it would of been like if he was a child.

That lead me to a desion, hopefuly once a day I want to spend a half hour each with just me and one of my fenthry. First Skyfire and then Nightstar or maybe the other way around, just so then we can really talk or play or what ever. I got the idea from my mom, she told me of a rich lady who did this with her kids. Then I spent that hour with Nightstar and it just made me decid to fallow the suit. I'm going to wait till Nightstar is no longer a feather because I don't think that having him spend an hour alone as a feather is a good idea. As soon as he becomes a child, well maybe a few days after. I don't want him to be afraid, I'll wait till he makes friends with the three K's, that's D-chan's pets, Kean, Koe and Kureai. Well I must be off to work soon and I still want to write in Skyfire's journal. Till I can write again.

Nightstar...
Just got off work and no he has not hattched but I wish he would. Nightstar seems to be geting use to staying behind my ear. It's strange but now when I place him there I hear a sigh like that comfert food that you hated when you first tried it. I think that is the way it is for him. My dark little Nightstar, will you ever emerge? Here I am, last entry I was telling my self to be patient but this one I'm pushing him but I could of sworn that Skyfire came out a lot faster then this. I geuss I should stop comparing them but it's hard, to stop that is. I knew they be different, I mean he has no real color, save dark navey blue, the rest of him is black and grey. I love it, I love the darkness but Skyfire was so bright and still is.

I just realy want to see him, I have said that so many times now. If anyone read this they find me anoying. I'm just trying hard to write nice long entrys to help Nightstar but I am sadly having problems finding things to write about. Well there was work, Skyfire is still scared but today she spent the entire time I was at work away from me. Not that far away from me but I gave her the task to watch Nightstar and she took the responblity very seroursly. She watched Nightstar and managed to stay with in my sight all day. For that I thank her.

Nightstar is a very quiet guy, he dosen't move once and seems to likewhen I read him reasurch books. When I read stories that Skyfire loved he just sit's there but when I read my history book out loud once, to make it easier for me to understand, he seemed to love it. So I read more of it out loud, Skyfire left the room to play with Kurenai when she got bored. Still Nightstar loves that, so when I went to work I asked for a few reasurch books that we could never sell for Nightstar. Mr. Trizt had quiet a few, a math book, a U.S history book, a England history book, a World history book, a science book and gramer book. I took so many history books becuase that is what Nightstar seems to like the most.

I'm glad I got the English History book because that is what I'm intrested in and Nightstar loved it, Skyfire even stayed to hear it. After that I wore Nightstar behind my ear as I taught Skyfire to read. I think that if I teach Skyfire to read and Nightstar is presant that he will learn to speak faster. It's a hope, and one I bealive in, also there is no proff that can truly prove that hope wrong. Well I'm going to write in Skyfire's journal, till I can write again.

Nightstar...
Well last night I ended up not doing much at the store, there's been an idea curciling the Fenthry HQ about a play staring the fenthrys. I love to do Midsumer Night's Dream with the fenthry. Before I got Nightstar there was this night at the HQ that reminded me of the story. See Sage and Rioko was fighting over Kurenai and Skyfire was all alone. Skyfire was Hermia, Kurie was Helena, Sage was Lysander and Rioko Demtres. Oh and Kean was the fairy king. That's when Pirate,D-chan, Twizzler and I came up with the idea. Then D-chan told the other owners about it and thye loved the idea. I think that Skyfire would love it and maybe Nightstar was well.

Okay I got off track of what this journal is about Nightstar, well last night I read him an entire chapter from his English History book. He seemed to love it and he loves the classical stuff. D-chan has this entire CD of classical music and he loves it. Skyfire prefers the new pop music, which is funny because I'm an classical fan my self. So we have two that loves the old stuff and one that loves the new stuff. So when I read from the history book I have the radio play Skyfire's faveorte station, that way she can listen to the music insted of my voice if she likes. Nightstar loves it when I read from the history books, I place his behind my ear so if he can see, he can see the book. He seems to love it, he dosen't move but I just get a feeling of comfert. I think that's him because I my self don't like this histroy books that much.

After I gave Skyfire her reading lesson I put her to bed but stayed up a little longer. I often read her to sleep, right now we are reading Little House in Bigs Woods, my mom read it to me when I was litte and so I read it to Skyfire. Anyway I after Skyfire falls asleep I read my books but I been reading out loud so much I began to read it out loud and Nightstar, who was still behind my ear, seemed to like it. It was funny and I that Nightstar was laughing with me when I began to laugh at my self. Well soon after that I went to bed. Still my little feather wont become a child, oh well. Till I can write again.

Nightstar...
Just got back from my job and it took my a little bit longer because I stoped at a store on my way home. The tubs I wanted to buy for my friends still aren't in, but that's okay. Nightstar got one more book today, a kid returned on of his and when he walked out of the store I found that the front page was missing, pluss half of the back cover. I'm so glad that the kid just droped of the book and ran. We could never sell the book now, I think that Nightstar will like it. It's an animal book, about different animals, what they eat and so on. Skyfire thought it was boring but she got her own book today. So she didn't complain much about the one that Nightstar got.

Nightstar seemed to love it, he also seems to like my walks. When we walk togeather his barbs always move gently and I hear a soft sigh. I don't know why but I feel like Nightstar will emerge soon, and I mean really soon. Like as soon as I'm done with this entry soon. I hope this fealing is right, after today I know I'm going to be quiet busy and wont be able to write as much as normal. So then Nightstar will take all the longer to emerge but I must be patient. Anyday now, soon that all I must tell my self.

Skyfire seemed alot better today and she started to travle away from me, without Nightstar ethir. Nightstar seems to like staying with me, I wonder if when he emerges he and Skyfire will get along. Sage and Ombre get along well, as do Kurenai and Koe. Even when Koe was scared of everything, he wasn't afraid of Kurenai. Oh that reminds me, poor Kurenai got a little cold. I feel terbile but I been trying to keep Skyfire away. I don't want her to get sick ethir and I haven't let Nightstar get close at all. Who knows what would happen if Nightstar got sick as a feather. Oh just the thought of it scares me.

Still Kurenai is getting better, Koe is getting braver and Kean a little less prtective. See as the pets grow older they muture, it wonduors to see. Well Skyfire is getting less jealous and she is playing with more girls. At least it seems that way, truly she's just playing with old friends. We're alike in that maner, she are out going till we get our set group of friends and then we don't like to go find more. I wonder how Nightstar will be like, if he will be a social butterfly or a lone wolf. I see him as a lone wolf, one who is ment to be social but is not by his own choice. I have a vison that Nightstar will not be one to make fly off and make friends but he also wont be shy fo anything. Oh my I must go to the store, till I can write again.

He changed! Nightstar finally emerged, oh I'm so excited for him and me. He's very handsome and cute, see he's completly black with navy wings and hair, he has a light grey star where female fenthry have hearts, he has the same light grey for his inside ear fur, then darker grey for his face and the bottoms of his feet. He's so dashing and well I can rant but I don't want to. Almost all the feathers have now changed, only two remain feathers till the next batch. Louhi has been finding alot of feathers and working hard on their spells.

Nightstar so quiet he make some noises but he prefers to stay queit. That's how I thought he be, but Skyfire is all over the place trying to teach him everything. He seems like he rather just sit and obsve. That's what my little Nightstar is doing now, he's sitting next to the journal and watching me write. Oh now he's flying over to where he be right in front of it, Skyfire taught him to fly but he can only hover a few inches above the surface. Skyfire will fix that I bet, by tomorrow he will be flying with the best of them.

Well now on how he aperaed, well after I was done writeing in the last entry I went to the store. Then I realized that I had to get somethings done back here so I had to leave right away but I did notice somethings, will write about in a bit. So I'm walking home, talking to Skyfire and twirling Nightstar between my fingers when this gust of wind tears him from hand. Skyfire flies over to get him when theres this bright flash and there he is. In all dark dashing glory, he's so cute! Oh he fell stright into my hands and Skyfire was so shocked that for a moment she just hovered there. Now she wont stay still.(Right now she's looking for Nightstar who's hiding in between my arms as I write)

Okay now on other news, well when I poped up at the store for a moment I saw the first teen fenthry! They are so cute, now breeding is one everyone lips. They are one male and two females so breeding is very possible. Also Kurenai got this gift that is really everyones, a large doll castle. Just the right size for the fenthry, it's Princess Kurenai's Castle for the brave knights and lovely ladys. Oh it's so wonderful, a real work of art. Pirate's best friend got it, she loves buying gift for others. Now D-chan is going sow dress for all the female fenthry and make siutes of amor for the male fenthry. Oh it will cute.

Well I got chores to do and then I want to get back to the store talk to everyone about everything. Skyfire isn't the only one who is getting a little hyper. Till I can write again.
