The Moonlight Lord rules the world and the lands of Arenn, where this tale takes place. The Moonlight Lord is a cruel tyrant of whom no one has ever actually seen. He is a mysterious figure who’s power grows with each full moon. Will anyone be able to defeat the evil he reigns upon the land?

The Dalekk is the name given to the secret war the Insurgents fight against the Faithful, the rebels versus those loyal to the moonlight lord. You are a member and warrior of the Dalekk, whether a General, an officer, or a fighter. It is your responsibility to lead your side to victory, whether it is the annihilation of the Insurgents or the take-down of the Moonlight Lord’s reign.

YOUR CHARACTER:
Options for your character—

Race: There are three races – Humans, Mizudens, and Torikais (hue-mans) (mee-zoo-dens) (tor-ee-kies).
HUMANS – Humans are of medium physical and mental strength. Their alliances are as varied as the humans themselves. They are of Land.
MIZUDENS – Mizudens are of low physical strength and high mental strength. Incredibly intelligent, their minds are much more exercised then their muscles, but living under the water’s surface, their muscles don’t need to be too strong. They resemble mermaids with tails instead of legs, but they have blue or green skin and two tentacle like appendages reaching from their foreheads. Mizudens have a ghastly beauty and are feared by humans. They usually tend to a more evil side, since the Moonlight Lord has vowed to leave them alone in his rule. Even though they are of Water, they are able to come upon the land when in possession of the Land Spirit’s Pearl, which turns their tails into legs.
TORIKAIS – Torikais are of high physical strength and slightly higher-than-medium intellectual strength. Torikais are creatures of the sky, and thus are very bird like. There are two types of Torikais; the Yelen and the Moreth. The Yelen have wings sprouting from beneath their arms, although they are able to maneuver their wings like arms and have their hands. The Moreth have large wings sprouting from their shoulder blades, which are usually taller than they are. Creatures of high magical ability, like the Mizuden, Torikais’ arms are normal length, even if they are Yelen, which would normally make it physically impossible for them to fly. They have long, thing legs with talons instead of a foot. (It looks shockingly similar to a mix between a chicken and a eagle’s leg/foot). A small crest of feathers (usually three to five, with Chiefs having a maximum of ten) sits behind each ear and markings are usually born naturally onto the face. Wings tend to be either white or black, and hairstyles are either very dark blue/black or yellow. There are two general attitudes permeant throughtout the Torikais; fun loving and carefree or very intense and aloof. They tend to alliance themselves with the rebels since the Moonlight Lord despises the Torikais. They are of the Air.

Alliance: No matter your Race, you can choose your alliance—it is very possible to be a Mizuden that despises the Moonlight Lord or a Torikai who wishes to ally themselves to the evil king. Choose either Insurgent (rebel), Faithful (loyal to the Moonlight Lord), or Neutral.

Occupation: You can choose pretty much any occupation you desire, whether it be assassin, mercenary, war general, or even baker.

Power: Arren is a land of magic, so it’s only natural that its inhabitants can use magic. Humans can have only one power, but Mizudens and Torikais can have two. You’re allowed to generally make up your power, but it must have a basis in one of these elements—

Water (unusable by Torikais)
Air (unuseable by Mizudens)
Lightning
Ice
Dark
Light
Nature
Other

IMPORTANT NOTES TO CONSIDER – There can only be two generals—the leader of the Insurgents or the Moonlight Lord. I’ll be in control of the Moonlight Lord, and the Leader of the Insurgents will be HogoshaTsukimaru. Positions closely under the Generals are available, however.

Also note that “dark” and “evil” are not synonomous. That is one thing that really ticks me off—that people think “dark” and “evil” are the same. Thus I try very hard to have characters who are evil that use light magic and paladin-esque characters that use darkness magic. Thank you ^_^

Powers: the magic powers your character has. Make sure to add which element it is in the name (yes, you have to name it. See the profile on Sakana for an example)

Appearance: He has shoulder-length, slightly curly blond hair, a bold moustache, and large goatee. His build is wide-shouldered and strong, and he has a scar running from just above his left eyebrow to the bottom of his right cheek (poss. eyepatch). He almost never removes his sword belt or breastplate, which he wears over an sturdy green wool jacket and brown pants.
Personality: Serious and determined when it comes to war, he can be somewhat stubborn, but he would not do anything that would send his soldiers into excessive harm. He freely laughs and drinks along with some of the captains.
Favored Weapon: Double-edged broadsword
Powers: Earth (I’d also give him light, if you allowed 2 elements for a human on this exception)
Other: Little is known about his background, but he has some seriously bad blood against the Faithful. He has undergone extensive sword, survival, and tactics training.
NOTE ~ Since I didn't think you guys'd like me having both of the two most important characters in the RP, I decided to let my idiot best friend have him. (I'm just kidding. You're not an idiot ;P)

Sakana is tall and beautiful, with long blonde hair that falls to her waist. She is a Moreth Torikai, meaning her wings sprout from her shoulder blades. They are similar to what angel wings are envisioned as: large and illustrious, with beautiful full white feathers, ranging in size from three inches tall to as long as her face. Her eyes are bright blue and she has a long red triangle extending from her jaw-bone to right below her left eye. She wears a flowing white shirt with a couple rips in it and similar pants. A member of the Tsubasa tribe, her talons are black, and the crests of feathers behind her ears have black tips as well, with five feathers behind each ear. On the top of her right wing is a section of stark black bone that looks charred. She received it in an earlier battle with a Faithful a few years back.
Personality: She’s really happy-go-lucky and optimistic and loves to laugh and have fun and especially tease the general of the Insurgent army, of who she is a good friend of. She is fiercly loyal and has a personal vendetta against the Moonlight Lord for reasons no one knows.
Favored Weapon: Valkeyir (val-keer), her long sword. She also tends to use her talons and ice magic.
Powers: Far-burst Ice Needles ~ by freezing nearby water, Sakana creates balls of ice that will explode into thousands of infinitely sharp ice needles at her command
Other: Tori is the last of the Tsubasa tribe (they don’t have clans in the Torikais, rather tribes), which is the most illustrious of the Torikai tribes. She often cries to herself at night, haunted as she is by the deaths of everyone she cared for. She is not the same Sakana from the “Fallen Into the Ancients” RP I’m in.

Appearance: He has short (meaning just under shoulder-length), somewhat-spiky black hair. He usually wears a long black cloak that goes down to his ankles and strong wool trousers; alongside his sword/quiver belt, of course. His large black and gray wings protrude from under his cloak and a crest of seven white feathers stick out from behind each ear.
Personality: He prefers to be alone than with other people, but he is friendly if he must be around them. He can be happy and carefree with his close friends, but he’s dead serious in battle, for he’s seen too much death and war to not be. He is usually calm or solemn.
Favored Weapon: Long bow, knife, and his longsword, Wyte (w00t! I finally get to use that!)
Powers: Able to call on Dark and Light with an enchantment on his flutes.
Other: He has no recollection of his parents or tribe, as the former died when he was young and he was brought up by Torikai in another tribe. He has always felt like an outsider because of his strange-colored wings. He carries around a set of pan flutes, given to him by his true parents. He is very close in rank to Sakana, because, while he is three years her elder, she was a child prodigy. He is next in line for the title of lead scout, but works with some of the other parties too.

Has a curse tatoo on right cheek, left chest, and all of my back, dispite scar and tatoo's is handsome and built strong.
Personality: admirer of the Moon Light Lords power, faithful, obidient, but can find joy in other peoples pain and may act a bit selfish at times, if eased under pressure may lose controll of self, determined at any task may need to be stopped before realizes limit, a fanatic at getting strong so dispite young age very skilled with spear and extremely good with magic.
Favored Weapon: not a fan of weapons but carries a polished steel spear that is kept enchant and engraved with markings
Powers: lightning and dark, but dark (because of a curse) is uncontrollable and its powers boundless, so it isn't used enless theres a serious situation or losses controll period
Other: A very misunderstood person when younger and had a horrible childhood, thinks that remind him cause me to freeze or scream

Personality: Dark and a lover of pain and blood. He is faithful to the Moonlight Lord beyond normal measures, ((much like a Haku-Zabuza or Rolan-Phantom kind of thing, without the whole Yaoi/being in love ordeal. O_o )). He has an eternal blood lust and relishes in the pain of others. He is bored unless destroying, slaughtering, or threatening something.
Favored Weapon: Sword, Kanai (kuh-nie) [it's name], magic
Powers: Telepathy over those with the "Faithful Tatoo", light magic
Other: Denaen is incredibly intelligent, and the Moonlight Lord's right hand. The relationship between the two is unknown, nor why the Moonlight Lord would choose someone so seemingly young for such a powerful position, but those who question either are usually never seen again. Whole...

Personality: Tamuril has a great respect for people in power, which is why she obeys the Moonlight Lord with such blind loyalty. She only obeys the Moonlight Lord, and laughs at anyone else who tries to tell her what to do--Tamuril hates being told what to do. She gets angry when she can't get her way, and she gets scary when she's angry. Tamuril is the sort of person who wants other people to do her dirty work for her, and mostly handles secret, spy stuff.
Favored Weapon: No specific weapon, but she needs throwing knives. She usually has six to eight of them hidden on her person. Also magic.
Powers: Earth
Other: Tamuril thinks that the Insurgents are more of a joke than anything else, and has the infuriating habit of making very serious things into jokes.

Alright, here’s the low down and basic summary of operations---
We’re in a war, which means each and every fight is important. Thus, I’ll have a special system for doing those when the time comes. Meanwhile, this RP is mainly about the characters interacting and learning whether or not the fight against the Moonlight Lord is a conspiracy. LOL. Shocked you there, huh? Anyway, personal one-on-one quick skirmishes are okay, but… come on, peoplez. Anyway, the Insurgents are on the eastern part of Arenn and the Faithful are on the west, so it’s not like you could just see one another if you’re on opposite sides. biggrin Getting all this?
Anyway, this shouldn’t really be too complicated as long as you follow along. If you have any questions about the story line or how this thing works, feel free to PM me whenever. ^_^ I don’t bite. Hard

HOW BATTLES WORK:

Once I pronounce a battle "open" (check zee announcements) you may start the "battles". Let me explain how this works:

Every person must write an overview of the battle he/she is taking place in. This means, of course, third person, but any entry cannot be centered around one person. It's sort of like a football game/announcer:

You have to focus on the whole dang thing, not just one person. Plus, these entries are going to be anonymous so you can't just focus on your character.

This is a show of YOUR WRITING ABILITIES AND ABILITY TO CONVEY AN IMAGE IN A PLEASING AND NOT-CONFUSING WAY. So you're gonna wanna do the best you can. xd

An example of a battle would be the below (written as "Sakana" )

The battle raged upon the grass, the wounded and dead falling upon the ground in massive droves. Screams and cries shattered the air, as fighting swirled upon the terrain.

Sakana dove out of the way and spun, hoping beyond hope that her wing missed the ground. Dang right wing! It never folded like it was supposed to...
A sword slash narrowly missed her face and as she tumbled to the ground, a strong hand caught hers. "Blair!" she called out with relief as the woman pulled her atop her horse.
"Hurry up, Torikai! We've got an emergency on our hands! It's a battle!" Akida reared as Blair slashed at some of the massive groups of enemies below.
"See you at the end!" Sakana said, actually smiling, and rocketed off Akida and into the fray.
Blair drove Akida westward, where a too-thick patch seemed to be writhing in their fight more than simply slashing. Who had they managed to gang up on? ...

See? I switched between two characters, so you wouldn't really know it's me whose posting. Okay, basic rules:

So if HogoshaTsukimaru, for example, swings the tide for the Faithful to be winning, and his entry is picked, then the INSURGENTS will win.

SECRET CODES AND CODE WORDS

Most of codes are for my amusement as I watch you all try to understand what they mean, but here are a few of them that you cannot get through this RP without knowing---

burning_eyes THE ROOSTER
The Insergants or represented by a Rooster. This is because it heralds in the sun and drives away the Moon's reign over the sky. A legend says that the Moon would never leave the sky if not for its fear of the Rooster's call. Thus, it was decided that it would perfectly represent the purpose of the Insergants.

burning_eyes THE BEAMS
The Faithful. As the Moon shines its beams upon the land of Arren, so too does the Moonlight Lord send his BEams to do his bidding.

burning_eyes THE RAVEN
The Raven doesn't come until later, but you still need to know it. The Raven symbolizes the Moonlight Lord's troops, or his army. Faithful and the army are NOT the same. The army is common foot soldiers while the Faithful are unique.

burning_eyes PECKED BY A ROOSTER WITH EYES LIKE A DYING-MOON

ninja The Moonlight Lord’s and the Insurgent General’s (LOL, that sounds like surgeon general’s XP) armies are starting to gather to begin the End of the War, what most hope will be the final battles of a war that has raged on for almost three centuries.

ninja An entire army of Beams has been sighted near the border and the Insurgent army begins to mobilize. Will the army be ready in time for the first attack?

Torches spluttered in their holds as the man, heavily clad in dark blue armor, walked through the hall. Despite the torches it was dark and eerie, even this high up in the palace.
He stopped in front of two large doors, well polished with the insignia of a cresent moon carved into them. The two guards on either side of the tall doors nodded to him in greeting, and one came forward and handed him a black scrap of fabric to tie about his eyes. The Lord of Arenn did not like to be looked upon.
The guards closed their eyes once the blind fold was securely tightened about the man's eyes and opened the doors without a sound.
"You may proceed," one of the guards said, and the man continued to walk forward.
"Halt," a cool voice said before him, like a snake slipping through black, ice cold water. The man stopped and, with a loud bang, the doors to the Moonlight Lord's chambers closed.
"My lord," the man said, getting down on one knee and inclining his head towards the mysterious figure, "I bring word of the Insurgents."
"What of them?" the Moonlight Lord asked calmly.
"They have chosen a leader, and are preparing to attack, my lord."
The Moonlight Lord paused, then laughed. It was a very small, soft sound. "They intend to attack me? Indeed, this will be.... interesting. You are to leave. Summon my army. Let this be the end of this infernal three century war. Let this be the End of the Dalekk."
The man inclined his head again and proceeded to leave the room. Once outside the door, the blindfold was removed.
"Rally the men and women! We have a war to fight!"
Oh yes. This would certainly be...interesting.
