So that Gaia Tetris petition is getting popular, huh? And I'll admit, it would be kinda' cool to have a tetris-like game. But we're thinking a little too small. How about a Zurg Invaders game? Like Space Invaders, but obviously Gaia-themed. You know, one of those little 2-D space-shooter things. Think about it. It could be the most awesome thing to hit Gaia.
Thing is, I don't play any of the games we've got. They bore me. I'm sure a ton of people get really into fishing and stuff, and that's totally cool. But, man, if we had a space-shooter game I'd spend every waking moment on that thing. I don't think you really grasp how cool I think this would be, and how much I think others users would enjoy it, too.
But here's the thing Gaia: You can't do it halfway. You gotta go all out on this one. If I'm gonna be spending every waking minute on something, it better not be lame. So here's what I suggest for our Zurg Invaders game:
- Multiple and varied enemies and environments. I don't wanna be FIRIN MAH LAZORS (Sorry, had to do it) at the same old generic Zurg ship in the same old generic environment of stars.
- Upgrades for your space ship: I'm talking new weapons, armor, all kinds of new cool add-ons for my space-ride. I want my ship pimped.
- BUT HERE'S THE THING! I don't wanna buy this stuff with Gaia gold. Make an in-game earning system that lets you buy upgrades in-game. This will ensure that new users have the same advantages as older users. The people who play the game best, not the people with the most gold, will come out on top.
That's all I got. I'm tellin you, this could be awesome. Of course, I understand that the creation and coding of this game would be a HUMONGOUS challenge for the developers. But I've got faith in you guys.
