We will be closed for the month of September-- sorry guys but I've been busy with school and haven't been able to keep up with this thread! I'll be starting back up in October and feel free to do the September tasks if you want to do October early.

In the coming week I'll hand out the August Prizes!

This is a charity, but with a twist. You'll have to complete tasks to enter the lottery, and then five winners each month will be chosen to receive that month's MC letter. The tasks are listed below with the rules about each task and the way to provide your "proof". You may only go through the tasks once and be considered once each month. Sorry but it needs to be fair and everyone who's eligible deserves an equal chance.

The Tasks to be Eligible

Note than none of these must be done in order precisely. The bumping ones do not have to be consecutive bumps, and you could if you wanted do all of this in one day, or you could take the full time period.

If you cheat or try to cheat, you will be disqualified from this cycle. If you do it again, you will be blacklisted. I'm not asking for that much, so please be a good person and be honest.

Task 1: Bump for a Quester or a Charity

Go to the Quests/Charities subforum (click here) and pick out a Quest or Charity that you want to help. It cannot be this one, your own, or one of your friends (someone on your friend list). If in their rules they allow and would like bumpers, then start bumping! You need to bump at least 50 times. Keep links of where you did your major bumping (I will be checking), and write a sincere sentence on why you wanted to help this particular charity or quest, and then post that in this thread. "Because I had to" does not count as a sentence.. be sincere, be serious.

- Breaking the rules in another Quest or Charity thread in order to bump will make this portion you've done not count, so be courteous and polite.. you may make some friends and they'd be really appreciative.

Task 2: Advertise to Help!

Go to the Quests/Charities subforum and pick out a quest or charity that doesn't belong to you, one of your friends (on your friend list), and isn't this one. Find one of their links and put it in your sig for one day. Post in the thread when you've put it in your sig and take a screencapture that includes the current time. At the end of the day, take another screen capture of your posts with your advertising signature and post that.

- Be careful not to use any illegal links, etc in your sig and not to break the sig rules! You don't have to get rid of your own and even a simple link will do.

Also, for the duration of the contest a link to this charity needs to be in your sig or a main thread you run (one that has been up for at least two weeks). If length is an issue, please check out tinyurl.com to shorten stuff up. If this really is a problem, PM me and let me know and we can talk.

Task 3: Donate

You're probably questing right now, hence why you want this envelope.. so no, I don't expect you to give up any of your hard earned items or gold. But I would like you to find a random user you don't know and would like to be nice to.. and give them something.

It doesn't have to be an item or gold. It could be a graphic, a poem you made, some avi art, or your bumping services.. whatever you're good at, just give a little of it to someone who you think deserves it. Give it in a PM.. take a screenshot of the PM, and post it here. Or if it's a service like bumping, send me a screenshot or a link to the page. If you choose to bump, it cannot count as Task 1.

Task 4: Here's an idea, but a job well done!

Gaia has a lot of negativity in it.. there's nothing wrong with finding a fault in something, but people always seem to just complain and run off, without any sort of good suggestions or good feedback.

Your task is to pick out two things about Gaia -- one thing you don't like and have an idea for improving, and one thing you do like and want to thank the Admins and/or Mods about, and post in the Feedback forum (click here to get there) about it in a single thread you make.

- Your improvement idea needs to be something positive.. meaning, you shouldn't say, "The halo sucks and you should get rid of it.. but I love getting gold, thanks Admins!" Instead, try to be productive about your gripe by aiming it towards something fixable, and then be specific in your appreciation.. i.e. "I think too many people are being scammed and perhaps a good way to help spread the word would be to include a sticky about scamming and hacking in every forum and sub-forum.." and then "I don't always like the MCs but I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into them. Thank you to everyone who designs and codes them and works so hard on them for us."

- If for some reason you'd rather not be in the feedback forum, you can find another appropriate or start another appropriate thread in another forum that is suitable (i.e. Gaia discussion, etc). Just link back here when you've completed it!

You don't have to be fake or really nicey nice, but be sincere. Post in this thread when you've completed your task a link to the thread you started.

Task 5: Sign on the line!

Gaia has a ton of petitions. In fact we have a subforum full of them! (Check it out here) Your task is to go to the subforums, pick out FIVE petitions you would like to see come to fruition, and sign them. Once you've done that post here with links to where you signed each, and under each link write a sincere sentence on why you want that particular thing to happen.

Task 6: Don't Bite the Hand..

I am trying to show people that good deeds pay off and being a good person has it's rewards.. unfortunately, this forum moves fast. Each week of the contest I'm requiring anyone who wants to be eligible to have at least 25 numbered bumps in this thread. I'd appreciate it if you stopped and talked instead of just saying BUMP over and over.. but either way, please number! If you're going to miss the next week, you can go ahead and do fifty the previous week. If there are any special circumstances that aren't covered by this, please post about it here and we'll work something out.

Your bumps don't have to be in order or consecutive.. just whenever you get a moment throughout the week. Remember, you have to do this for the entire contest period (2-4 weeks) to be eligible for the final drawing.

THINGS TO NOTE:
-I will PM you a day before the contest closes to let you know if you are eligible or not, and I will let you know what steps need to be done to make you eligible.

-I will not PM everyone if there are too many people with the winners. If there are only a few people, I will PM everyone.

The Charity Fund Pure Gold Lottery!

Each ticket is 100 gold and I will be selling 2,000 tickets.

There will be a first, second, and third place:

First will get 100,000 gold.

Second will get 25,000 gold.

Third will get 10,000 gold.

This charity will be keeping 65,000 gold, that will be used for Charity Purposes only.

Each winner will be picked using post style: random number. If you win one place you may not win another placing. First, then second, and finally third will be drawn in THAT order precisely.

RULES
1. No refunds if you lose and no guarantees.
2. No trying to cheat me/beg me to "pick you".
3. Please send the total amount of gold to The Post Office Charity. Please title your trade with the tickets you want and LOTTERY, i.e:

A charity is always trying to better itself and do more for those it helps.. the Post Office is no different. Besides pure gold and random trash/items you don't want, we're also specifically looking for some things.

I like to engage in religious discussion but I dislike having ANY view point or religion jammed down my throat-- whether it's a Christian damning me to hell or an Atheist calling my unwillingness to NOT believe in God sheer stupidity.

I like to drink. ^_^ I know, I know.. I'm not 21 yet. But it's legal for me in Canada so when I drink I just pretend like I'm in Montreal or something.
