Hello, I'm Zen! I'm gonna be bored during summer so I'm hoping to make all kinds of new art buddies.
Although I will be selling art, I'm hoping other artists will come here so we can help each other improve artistically and inspire others to do the same. ex: I'm currently teaching myself to paint (paint tips?)
ex: want an art critique? Got a visual mind block you need suggestions for?

My friend has most her stuff back (a hacker got her) so now I can be
more relaxed about Commissions. Feel free to bump, roleplay or hang out and chat. Please don't advertize yourself (unless you have an art contest or something that will interest people in this thread), beg, or mistreat others. Please post in here if you wish to order, or I might not be able to find you. Feel free to PM for whatever reason.

I'm, currently questing the Golden Laurels. If you have one of those you don't have plans for, I'll probably be your art slave forever lol.

I also love to RP and talk mrgreen I have a FREE Rp guild, where we can interact without a million rules to hinder creativity if you're interested in joining.

I'm rather picky at what I draw for some reason. Unless I really like what subject i'm doing, I'll put off drawing it. For that reason I might turn you down, but it's so I won't keep you waiting for six months sweatdrop
I do only traditional art. I don't have the technology for digital. I DO do anime with outlines but I prefer old school things. (Anime is actually a whole lot easier, but I like challenging myself) If I turn you down, even if you meet all these details, it's becasue I know that I'm not inspired to do the work (nothing wrong with that, I'm just not the person to draw your requests. I want to make sure I do my best on it ya know?)

Won't draw: Porn (traditional n***s are different stories... just not hentai-ish ideas please), a whole lot of people on one page, something offensive to a group of people (controversial is ok, just not racist or something to that effect), or non-humanish mythical creatures or monsters.

Like to draw: (things I'll tend to accept more) Ladies in gowns, Guys with capes, armor, swords, etc, landscapes I find pretty or challenging, scenes from various books, plays, TV shows, etc, fantasy landscapes/buildings/backgrounds, this you have to think about to understand, things unusal and bold, pirates, gods or goddesses, OCs that are very detailed and developed.

Chances are, If I like an OC well enough, I"ll draw him/her for free. That takes alot though, (I've been working on my people for eight years sweatdrop )I gotta really like and get the character.

Prices!! I almost always do portrait or full body styles. (exceptions can be made to the prices and make of the pic)
This assumes you want a back ground to it in all but sketches, kick the prices down a bit if not.
I do Art Trades too
I do take items! The only things I'm really questing are: Golden Laurels, royal family jewels, the three june 2007 items, and various colors of the antique coats.

Portrait:
1)Color Pencils and markers 7-12k (price may change due to detail and background, especially on the reference pictures)
---requires alot of description of the person and preferably a model of a real person)

2)Acrylic Paint 8-11k (price may change due to detail and background,it costs more becasue I'll have to go buy a canvas or special paper, and that's not always cheep)
--same requirements as above

Real Person Portrait/fullbody/anything (the hardest of everything to do)20-30-50k
(depends on amount of people, size, and background mostly..also working on getting one of these back to put up)
needs REALLY good references, and lots of time 0o

3) Sketch realism=4-5k, anime=2.5k
Requires alot of decription or real life reference

Full Body:

1) Color Pencils and Markers 8-10k (depends on clothes and pose)
for a full background, 13-20k (Once I get my pics back or I finish one commission I"ll post it. This depends on detail of the background, if you want a castle drawn that'll cost more than a sky for instance.)
---requires good description of powers, personality, and clothes

2) Acrylic Paint 11-15-20k (warning, I have to buy a mega huge canvas to do this and It'll be hard to get me motivated to do this kind, unless it's waist or knee up. I can use smaller canvas--thus making it cheeper for you-- but it's impossible to use alot of detail in the face and such. The price on this depends on what's asked of me mostly.)
--requires the above as well as a detailed scene or background

3) sketch 3-4k (depends on clothes)
--requires minimal description except on clothes

Art Lessons!

This may help describe why I do the weird things I do.

1) Portraits are harder than fullbodies (shocker) [ok I admitt soem artists might find other bodily functions like hands harder than faces... though I don't) beacuse you have ever so much more detail, and bigger things are... the easier it is to be off in proportion! You must incorporate quite a bit more texture as well in hair and skin, etc.

2)Painting is so much harder to blend colors and keep the same tone of a color. If you mix colors it's almost impossible to get the same color if you run out. Plus, unlike in many other mediums, in painting you have to try to keep your coats of paint even. If not, it'll be rather bumpy on the surface, though some people do that on purpose to add effects.

I'm working on this now... so many OCs to load (you would't believe how many I have... I estimate 60), Art Trades are Welcome.
Why don't you just post what you LIKE to draw, examples, and prices for me of your art?

I will pay talented writers out there to write me songs/poems!! I have a few that have been driving me crazy to write. I will give you something nice in addition to your payment if you can write me one I'll choose to use in my story!
