We (pinkmatrix and toweltheblueworld) are still working on this, but the basic outline is...
When we were visiting some island off the coast of Switzerland we found some very strange sheep. Apparently, they aren't really sheep at all but clones of movie villains (hence VCs) in disguise. We're guessing that some evil sorcerer cloned the DNA of movie villains and mixed them with the DNA of black sheep. The inner movie villain is awakened once one of these black sheep experiences some sort of life-altering experience.
