Hello and welcome to my brand new thread! With the new releases of a new movie and two new short films, I decided that I would like to review these movies and post them so other people could see!

Updates:
There is a new movie and two new shorts! A thriller called House on Haunted Hill, a classic by Vincent Price! There is also some footage of the Gaia team at Fanime 07!

And perhaps the best, two new shorts to laugh at! The Relaxed Wife and Supervising Women Workers! Gee...I wonder how dumb those will be. <3 Keep an eye out for movie review updates!

Review
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (current)
Being an eighteen year old, I was around when the first wave of fandom for this was going on. I loved the first movie, the second one was okay and when I went to my local theater (for plays originally, not movies) to see it, I thought it would be some glorified remake of the first.

It wasn't.

It semi-picked up where the second left off. Casey was even in this movie! I missed him in the second. How could they not have put him in? sad But moving on. The animation was well rendered, I have to admit that much but the girls (April O'Neil and the head ninja girl of the Foot Clan) looked like they were nothing but twigs. And Casey's chin could have totally poked a hole in something it was so sharp.

The story was nice and original and even blurred the lines of good and evil, making the man who you thought might be evil, wasn't. It even included some nice sibling rivalry between Leo and Raph.All in all, this left me satisfied but there were a few things that could have been better.

Amy gives this movie: 8/10

Meet the Robinsons

This is my new favorite movie.

Okay, I was really fooled when the movie started. It looked really, really, real. I mean, REALLY. There are so many great things about this movie. The art is so cool and cute. The story is about an orphan boy named Louis. His inventions are really cool but they don't always work right. He eventually gets one to work and goes to show it off at the science fair. He meets a kid from the future named Wilbur and they go on this crazy adventure to the future.

Best part in the movie? Tiny.

"I have a big head and little arms! I'm just not sure how well this plan was though out."

There is even a mobster/Frank Sinatra singing frog named Frankie! I mean, its so freakishly awesome! And if you haven't seen the movie, you'll never guess who the villain is!

GO WATCH IT.

Past Reviews
Shaolin Temple
I, for one, am a sucker for martial arts movies. Jackie Chan is my hero. <3 So, I just had to check this one out! This movie runs around an hour and a half (1 hour 26 minutes) and is dubbed over in English from it's original Chinese. The basis of the story is that an evil man in the arm wants the empire to himself, and kills the emperor. His son is poisoned and escapes the evil man and must venture to a temple to get the antidote. The daughters of the dead emperor's faithful general help him on his quest.

If you want to know more, see the movie!

Now, as this movie is older, it moves quickly and the filming and sound effects aren't so great by today's standards. But its fun! The poison makes the prince act like he's drunk and near the end, he has to dress up as a girl! Its amusing because its old and the girls are pretty cute. So are the outfits.

Amy gives this movie: 7/10

Movie Joke

After a difficult day a struggling actor returns to his neighborhood and is shocked to find a cadre of police and fire trucks surrounding the smoldering remains of his house.

Explaining who he was he asks "What happened?"

"Well," one of the officer's says, "It seems that your agent came by your house earlier today and while he was here he attacked your wife, assaulted your children, beat your dog and burned your house to the ground."

The actor is struck speechless, his jaw hanging open in disbelief... "My agent came to my house?"
