Distinguishing Marks: None, really, but he's been known to paint a visage of a black dragon on his wings occasionally, despite being told not to.
Talents: Getting into trouble, turning his bondmate's hair gray, skilled at flying at high speeds, limited artistic ability (he draws green or black wyrms. Take your pick. Nothing else)
Mate: He's only a kid, you sick puppies =P
Weapon Of Choice: Not especially skilled in any weapons in particular, but favors his cocktail rapier for close encounters and pebbles for long-range attacks
Attire: On his head, Tal wears a golden circlet, affixed to the back of which are a single black and red feather, both gifts from Tahki. He wears a makeshift shirt made from a scrap of black and green-speckled cloth that has no sleeves, rather ties over his right shoulder. On his upper right arm, he has tied a bit of green material...he uses it as a makeshift carrying pouch to store his favorite gems or portable shinies in during flight. Around his waist is affixed a green string. It serves both as a belt for his weapons of choice, and as his "tail". He has left the string long in the back and affixed a roughly arrowhead-shaped pebble to it. He claims this helps him balance better during flight.
Favorite Colors: Green, Silver, Gold, Dark Red, Black
Favorite Foods: He is not fond of eating, usually, but has a vice for bitter or sour things (pickles, french fries with vinegar, etc.)
Favorite Sound: Crickets singing in a breezy meadow
Favorite Weather: Overcast, cool, light rains
Favorite Quarry: Miller Moths. Nobody misses them, they put up a good fight, and the birds are all too happy not to have to chase them down by the time he gets done with them.
Dislikes: Loud noises, skeptics, sport hunters, thieves, being scolded, being insulted, cold hands in warm places, rich or sugary foods, being restrained, bright lights, hot weather, nightmares, feeling helpless, being pestered
Fears: Being out of control, unnatural and aggressive things, uncontained deep water (ie, an ocean scares him, but swimming pools don't)
Personality: Talonfaust is truly one for the books. From the day he emerged from his bloom, he's been steadfast in the belief that he is somehow a dragon in a fairy form. Gentle persuasion to flat-out mockery cannot convince him otherwise. To go with his odd delusion, he also has a very standoffish and withdrawn nature, preferring to lurk in the guest room and count his shinies than go out and make friends. The few people he has met have either given him a quirked brow or have attempted to humor his oddness. He is a bit arrogant and highly possessive of things he deems close to him (this goes for both people and objects). If you succeed in making him your friend, be prepared to be followed and guarded closely.

Karma -- Talenfaust's "mom". She's a bit flighty but dedicated to her role as Tal's caretaker and often finds herself overly-concerned with his quirks and upsets. She's the current keeper of Talenfaust's diary and keeps it updated with her findings and thoughts regarding him on as regular of a basis as possible.
Mekakushi -- One of Karma's eldest (but we're hardpressed to call him well-loved) adoptees. Meka's a bit...well, okay, he's A LOT cynical and he tends to play the role of Tal's pushy older brother. He and Tal put up an immense front about not liking one another, but as long as no one's looking, the two of them get along fairly well. Talenfaust does not, and never will understand Meka's utter obsession with peanut butter, however.
Translucien -- Tal's appointed night guardian. Due to his recurring nightmares, it has chosen to watch closely over him in his sleep, attempting to feed off of his positive energy to accentuate the positive influence over his dreams.

The kitty doesn't seem to mind much as all it does is sit there and blink but...erm....I try to keep him out of Tal's reach in case he tries to open the jar. Last thing we need is SARS kitty on the loose.
-- Tahki gave Tal a pair of her feathers which fell out during their first meeting. Tal was a bit taken aback as they were the first gifts he'd ever been given and made them a permanent part of his wardrobe. blaugh

In what was once Karma's guest room, Talonfaust now resides. The bed has been removed and, instead, several tables of various heights and sizes are arranged. The room is kept very shady, dark, and cool most of the time with the door only open a bit so that Tal may come and go as he pleases.
On one of the lower tables, a three-walled wooden room seems to have been constructed. Upon closer examination, you see what Tal has deemed his sleeping quarters. The decorating is primitive and it is clear that the fairy most likely did his own furnishings, complete with a slightly-ratty piece of black carpet on the floor and the small green cardboard box serving as a bed.

A small christmas light hooked up to a wire that plugs into the wall outlet provides a meager light source for the room, though you suppose its enough to serve for whatever it is Tal does here. On the walls, visages of dragons are drawn.
