This is all set up in Gaia... Many of you are familiar with places like Barton, Isle of Gambino, Durem, etc.... for the most part this is in a city (which is just termed The Town) we don't really define, because we want it to be open for creativity. Nevertheless, there is just about everything that you can think of.... malls, parks, homes, restaurants, a theme park, and more. Any kind of human or creature can exist here... and magic is alive and well here.
This is the Guild Description:
"This is our town. It is where the Guardians live and perhaps work. It is where the Heralds now call home.
It is also where a Herald may discover he or she is not the only one of its kind; or where Mortals and Demons may run into one another at the supermarket. Altogether, it is like every other smallish town, and yet not like them at all. "

The event starts May 2... but there has been a history leading up to it.
...Weather: In the year 2007, Gaia experienced a very mild winter with warmer-than-usual temperatures. Even then, however, there was a little bit of snowfall in the beginning of April. That melted within a few hours, and then... the dark Storm clouds formed on the horizon but did not come closer. Other clouds soon overtook them, and extended themselves fully over Gaia.
...Heralds: Who's been keeping track of new Heralds? Before the end of April, Jerusha was the last Angel to have fallen since November. That is a very long time..... is something wrong?

IT IS STORMING! Rain is coming down in sheets. The lightning is frequent and the thunder is deafening. Hail is falling. In some areas, tornadoes are raging... which is strange, for they are usually only found on the back end of storms. What's going on?

Weather Conditions =
Meeting Place = Police Station
Gaia Prompt = For some reason everyone is at the police station. The rain and storms started up again, and have been ranging all morning. Everyone's gathered at the station, and many for their own reasons: could be a complaint, missing child report, paying off a parking ticket, anything. The thing that everyone starts discussing are the missing Heralds - many of whom are still children or even toddlers who cannot exist in this chaotic Gaia on their own. Why won't the police officers take this seriously? Sure, they haven't been gone for 48 hours yet, but it's really close! Officers are busy with other issues, including vandalists, rioters, those who were in vehicle accidents, etc.
... Prompt Considerations: No matter what reason your character arrived at the station, the problem with the missing Heralds will be the focus.
HERALD PROMPT = All Heralds are still at the Sanctum.... where they just heard a story from a rather see-through character. HERALDS DO NOT POST HERE!
ALL HERALDS TO THE SANCTUM (Guild), that is where your own RP will continue!

Explanations
Day means the In-Character day of that particular event in the Metaplot. Even though it will last for about one week, it is only one day in the Event (and may really only represent a few hours, really). Keep track! Even though each actual EVENT is one day long, there is a WEEK difference between days.
...For example, the first Event day is May 2. That day will last one RL week. The next event day will be May 9. A IC week will have passed in that time.
Weather Condition means what the weather is doing at that moment. It will be from Gaia International Airport (just like in RL) and will follow the same format as NOAA uses after translation out of aviation code.
Meeting Place means where everyone is meeting. You don't need to really explain why your character is there, but that might be a good idea if it isn't clarified in the prompt. Stick to that general area for simplicity sake, don't go running off and taking RP with you unless you really have to. There are some mods that know kinda what's going on, so they will try to bring everything back together if this happens.
Prompt means the reason and purpose for being there and a general idea what's happening at that time. You are not to respond to it directly, keep track of what's going on in the actual RP.

The weather has just been.... bleh. Constantly cloudy with rain showers. It wasn't really strange, doesn't the saying go: "April Showers Bring May Flowers"?

As mentioned, the previous Flatsale heralds (there are 4) and this Herald are special. They will be the only Heralds made like this. So, what's so different about them? Well.... they have a "demonic" twist to them. There wings are a combination of feathers and "bat-like" details. There eyes remain slitted or serpent-like. They start out dark (hair, clothes, etc), but just like usual Heralds, these change as they grow up according to how they are RPed.
There will be a pre-release of the Event Herald, but it will be vague and not discriptive enough to show what the differences will.
"Judging"
I am sure you are all interested to know how this will be judged. Well, because this Event goes for two whole months, it would not be fair to have the judges (which would probably be one or two people) to go through everything. In the first day, there were 5 pages... which is great, but with RL there isn't a way for someone to committ fully to judging. But, we still want to be fair, so we will try to accomodate everyone.
For every week you participate, you automatically get one "point". Then, there will be 10 extra points given away to those people that the jduges felt participated a lot and put an effort into their RPs. This does mean you are in direct competition with the other participating non-owners. Note:
-Owners are NOT included!
-Previous weeks do not influence the current week.
-If there are MANY people active that week, they may be up to 20 activeness points given out.
-Points will be shown on the front with a running total, and refreshed at the end of a week.
Example
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta, participated this week. They all get one (1) point.
-Delta only posted once and then wasn't really seen again that week. Delta would get the one point participation.
-Charlie was.... semi-active.... Charlie would get one point for participationg, and two points for activeness.
-Bravo was very active, and obviously put a lot of work and effort into everything. Bravo would get one point for participation, and three points for activeness.
-Alpha was just outstanding, posted every day, interacted, and really put their heart into it. Alpha would get one point for participation, and five points for activeness.
So, at the end of the week, Alpha would have gotten six points for that week, Bravo four, Charlie three, and Delta one. These points would be added to their running totals.
How these points will be used has yet to be decided. Person with the most points may be the winner, or we may have a raffle. IT WILL DEPEND ON HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS THERE ARE! We do, however, want to avoid a system that punishes people for being gone for a week or to do to RL situations.

Similar to the Winter Carnival, owners will be able to meet RP-playdate requirements with participation. There will be three ways they can meet these playdates.
Part One (May 2 - about June 2)
... 6/+ RP posts - they can be any length, but we'd prefer if they were normal posts. Treat them as a regular RP. You can particpate with your Guardian, Herald, or both. Only One (1) Playdate can be met during this time.
Part Two (about June 2 - July 2)
... up to 2 playdates can be met. More details coming closer to the start date.
How they will be applied -
...If your Herald is short on PD for current stage: then however many PD's you get from the Event will be applied to your requirements. For example, if you need 5 more PDs for your Herald's current stage (reborn), and you earned 3 PDs from the Event, that would mean you'd still need 2 PDs for your Herald's current stage (child) -and whatever prompt-s- you have left-.
...If your Event PDs are added up and go over needed requirements for current stage: then not only will you finish this stage's requirements, but however many you go over will be applied to your next stage. For example, you only need one more PD for your Herald's current stage (child) and you earned 3 PDs from the event. That means, 2 PDs will be completed for your Herald's next stage (teen).
...If your Herald has completed current stage requirements: then all PDs from this Event will apply to your Herald's next stage. For example, if you have all your PD's done for your Herald's current stage (child) and you earned 3 PDs from the Event, then all 3 of those PD's will be applied to your Herald's next stage (teen).

Q: Who can participate?
A: Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in at any time.
Q: If I win, can I have/get another Herald?
A: Only current non-owners can win the Herald prize. The shop rule still stands, though, if you win this one, you cannot have another Herald at a later date (second Generation Heralds excluded... you can have a herald, and a second generation)
Q: I'm going on Vacation for -undisclosed time-, can I still join in?
A: Yes, you don't have to be here for the entire two months. Players can come and go as time permits. We'd like you to be around at least some of the time, though.
