Welcome to Pixars! Home of pocket size fairies born of dust and various potions created here in the Magician's Workshop. These pint sized creatures were created originally in OpenCanvas during a network session with OniAja. With some help from friends they evolved into something more and here we are today!

Pixars are pint sized pixies that take on the traits of their owners, with the help of the many elaborate potions that we create. These potions produces pheramones that attract the Pixars, which are in a dust form so they cannot be found any other way except this. They all come in a variety of appearences with their own unique personalities, again, all determined by the owner and the potion or potions chosen.

These little fellows are capable of speech with any creature, regardless of the form that they may take. We even have a little gryphon floating around here as well..! The only times that a Pixar does not communicate is if it chooses not to or it is born a mute. They can have some disabilities when they are created so it's important you pay attention to that bottle!

<center>Rules</center>
1. Do not ask about Pixar availability, either on the thread or in Private Messages. They are randomly released though the date times are always announced twenty four to fourty eights hours in advance, as well as the number of bottles.
2. Do not ask if you can get one "right now." That is the surest way to get onto the blacklist. The only way you can get one outside of an auction, raffle, or flat sale is by paying me like, 100K.
3. Be courtesous to others and their feelings. Don't start fights or cause any problems.
4. Keep the rating of the thread PG-13, as according to Gaia T.O.S. Nothing of sexual content, or words like "molest" are welcome here. I really hate it and I will ban you without a second thought.
5. Do not advertise your shop in here unless you are an affiliate, but do not try to direct traffic from here to there. Only advertise if something is going on.
6. Do not ask for opinions on a future pet you might make -- make another thread for that please.
7. We allow all suggestions on new potions and items but please do not assume that because you make a suggestion you will get money compensation. You just get our thanks.
8. All rules apply to all threads that coordinate with the original main Pixars Thread.
9. Don't ask to work here. I don't need the help right now and if I do end up ever needing it, it will have specific requests.

<center>Ownership Rules</center>
1. You can only own up to three Pixars. However, if you have three normal potion types, you are allowed to get one special potion type. Later on this could be subject to change if we get more artistic help on the thread.
2. Pixars that have come out of their bottles can only be given away with the consent of Toushin.
3. In order to own a Pixar, you are simply required to be active. You do not have to come here and roleplay everyday or anything, but just come by and say hi. However, roleplay does have its rewards.
4. Try not to ignore your Pixar. Doing so can result in serious consequences later on.

Pixars are a type of fairy creature (a pixy to be more precise) that are called upon from all over this world and others. They are roughly around four inches tall, give or take a few centimeters, maybe even inches, and each one has their own personality and looks. Their looks and personalities are determined by the Potion(s) used to call upon them, as well as the owner themselves. If the owner is a good, active one and pays special attention to their bottle, it may end up emulating the personality that their owner has around it, or, if given subtle hints, it may form itself to those specifications. However, it's also possible for Pixars to become something totally different, something their owner may never have expected.
<img src="http://www.sephzer.com/pixar/spec_bottle.jpg" align="right" alt="Special Potion Bottle & Tag">All Pixars come from Potions, which are purchased at The Magician's Workshop, a special store that features in the sale of the bottles and Potions needed to summon your own Pixar. The owner, who is known only as The Magician, is extremely quiet and generally does not like being bothered, has a list of Potions available, both regular and special, as well as their prices. He conducts all sales of bottles and potions, and only allows the regular ones to be bought during flat sales. All Special Potions can only be purchased through auction or other methods of his own approval. Special Potion bottles are labelled with a tag that has a symbol of what Potion they are.

Quote:
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Animal - Any Pixar bottle with this tag states that they are an animal Pixar rather than a normal human looking one. Usually the symbol also represents what sort of animal they will be. It has been known for Pixars to come out of regular Potions as animals too, without the help of special methods. Depending on the animal, they could end up with special abilities.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Element - Elemental Pixars tend to have special abilities relating to their elemental alignment. How many of these appear is unknown and from what Potions is also mostly unknown as well.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Final Fantasy - The Mog tag symbolizes persons from the strange world of Final Fantasy.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Harry Potter - Any Potion bottle marked with this tag will create a Harry Potter Pixar. It's been determined that some of them may retain magical abilities relating to their emulated forms.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Jekyll's Potion - A Potion marked with the shattered mirror is the sign that the Pixar has been mixed with Jekyll's Potion. It will suffer from a split personality disorder.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Kingdom Hearts - The Heartless symbol does not just stand for the Heartless beasts in the world of Kingdom Hearts but for any character that comes from there.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Lunar - The crescent moon is the sign for the Lunar Pixars. Unknown at this time what precisely comes as a result.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Super Mario Bros. - Bottles with the infamous pipe symbol will create characters from the world of Super Mario Bros. Some may or may not have abilities.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Solar - The sign of the Sun is for Pixars blessed with Solar. Just like the Lunar, we are unsure of what can happen.
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The Legend of Zelda - Bottles marked by the Triforce symbol of Hyrule will create humans and monsters from that land. Some could end up with special abilities.

The Potions are created from various items that are mixed together with a special ingredient from the shop to help produce a pheramone that attracts the Pixars in their normal pixie dust form. However, not just the Potion itself will attract the Pixar. Each owner must undergo a quest to help attract the Pixar. These quests are provided by The Magician and generally have a time span. Depending on how you act around the Meadows and Workshop, it determines the quest you get.
<img src="http://www.sephzer.com/pixar/dust_spec.gif" align="left" alt="Pixar Forming in Bottle">If and when you've successfully completed your quest, you will shake the bottle and pop the cork. This will cause the pheramones to become unleashed and will hopefully attract the exact

Congratulations! You snagged yourself a Pixar! It will move around inside of the bottle and slowly form over the next few days. If you pay it special attention, it will grow faster and more to your specifications.
When it comes time for your Pixar to become free, the bottle will start to shake, and rather hard too. This means you need to hurry up and come back to the shop so that you can release your Pixar. How you choose to do that is up to you, but once you release it, it's now ready for a name!

Welcome to the Magician's Workshop. We are the source for your Pixar Attraction needs. We provide the bottle and the potions that come along with it at cheap, reasonable prices for the regular potions, and we sell all special ones through auction.
Regular Bottles are the typical bottle type used to house the Potions needed to attract Pixars. These bottles are easily breakable and can only hold up to two different Potions. They are available at 2,000 gold each during flat sales, and during auctions, can be autobought at 5,000 gold.
Regular Potions are easily attainable mixtures and are available at reasonably cheap costs here at the store. Depending on the kind you get, it will determine what sort of Pixar you receive. You can mix up to two regular potions with the regular bottle at the moment. This is the list of Potions you can choose from when you've won a regular bottle auction and sale.
Special Potions are the more difficult types to attain through our business. Because of their rarity, all of them are auctioned with no cap. Most of these Potions cannot be mixed with the regular ones because there's no telling what may happen. The owners of these Special Potions are able to determine exactly what their Pixar will be looking like.

How Flat Sales Work: Flat sales are normally announced twenty four to forty eight hours ahead of time. Generally each sale will be done differently, depending on the mood of the Magician. They will all be done within the shop (the thread) though, and not posted on the front door (the first post). The Magician will announce time checks so that everyone is prepared. When the sale is starting, the Magician will lay out a set of rules that the prospective owners must follow to the point. Those who are quickest or do the best, and provided they are correct, will come out to be the new owners of Bottles, and hopefully, future Pixars.
BEWARE: The Magician does not take kindly to cheaters and will remove all from his shop. He also does not take kindly to those who constantly badger him about when the next sale or auction will be.

How Auctions Work: Auctions are normally announced twenty forty to forty eight hours ahead of time. They will all be done in the back of his shop, even the regular bottles. The Magician will post a list of rules for those to follow who wish to participate in the auction at the back of his shop (the auction thread), and he expects them to be followed or he will remove you from his shop.

Quote:
<center>Regular Potions
Listed in Alphabetical Order</center>
Apple Juice / Free: Created from the freshest of apples (green ones as the Magician does not like red), this yummy Potion is loved by most everyone and will attract random Pixar personalities.
Acquired By: The Magician

Beer / 10g: Beer attracts obnoxious, loud, and crude Pixars who like to laugh at each other, tease everyone else, and generally act drunk all the time.
Acquired By: Sosiqui

Bong Water / 10g: These Pixar are highly attracted to nature and have an almost "Hippy"ish vibe to them. Constantly trying to preserve the enviroment and being "eco" friendly these pixars are instinctivly happy and very idealisitic.
Acquired By: Neotaki Kazuma

Capri Sun / 10g: These Pixar are always very happy and bright. Their intelligence helps them through daily life as they can uncover mysteries and even help the sick.
Acquired By: Tortie

Coffee / 10g: This attracts Pixars that are basically the opposite of Pina Coladas. Coffee-loving Pixars are always on the go and very active, but also nervous and jittery. They're often workaholics and have a very low tolerance for percieved laziness or slacking, in themselves or others. Tend to be judgemental of others based solely on outside appearances.
Acquired By: Sosiqui

Foreign Bottled Spring Water / 10g: Amazingly egotistic and arrogant, these pixar see themselves above the others and even tend to have infights amongst others of the same type.
Acquired By: Neotaki Kazuma

Glazed Sugar / 10g: Some things are just so sweet, and Pixars are no different. Those attracted with Glazed Sugar tend to be extremely polite, cuddly, and adore just about everyone.
Acquired By: Yun

Green Tea / 10g: Green Tea attracts Pixars of a more exotic, adventurous bent. These Pixars love exploring, especially when it's to far-off, exciting places. They have a high appreciation for beauty, with a strong daredevil attitude to offset it.
Acquired By: Sosiqui

Hot Chocolate / 10g: Hot chocolate attracts Pixars who are very affectionate and cuddly, sometimes to the point of overdose! They can be cute and snuggly, or they can cross the line into irritatingly clingy and posessive. It all depends... These Pixars do best in cold places, and enjoy being physically close to and 'touchy' with people.
Acquired By: Sosiqui

Lemon Juice / 10g: Generally moody and unpleasant, these pixars have a very negative view of the world. They tend to avoid social situations if they can and if forced to socialize, will be caustic and rude.
Acquired by: JadeEye

Milk / 10g: Milk attracts the Shy personality Pixars. These ones are sometimes antisocial (though not Gothlike) and are often blushing violently when they're talked to, especially by another Pixar that they like. Extremely timid as well, sometimes the biggest noise can send them hiding into their owner's pockets.
Acquired By: Tortie & FloraStar

Orange Juice / 10g: This juice usually tends to produce a very mellow artistic type. Very "clique"ish these Pixar want to remain in secluded groups of the same variety.
Acquired By: Neotaki Kazuma

Pina Colada / 20g: Attracts Pixars who are all about bright colors and being very, VERY loud. Love playing more than anything else, and will get pissy if they're asked to work or do anything they don't particularly feel like doing.
Acquired by: Sosiqui

Shirley Temple / 10g: No, it's not about alcohol! The Shirley Temple attracts the most Childlike of the Pixar Personalities. They are not really deemed immature but rather remain in a childlike state. They have the ability to speak at the same level as an adult but they don't maintain the same mental capacity.
Acquired By: Nerpin

Soda / 10g: Soda is the primary attraction for very hyperactive Pixars. These types can be a lot to handle as they tend to always be bouncing around and never seem to sleep when you want them to.
Acquired By: Prolixity

Tonic / 10g: When mixed alone, this drink can produce an enjoyable, yet slightly bland Pixar. When mixed with other drinks, the results maye be either enhansed or catastrophic.
Acquired By: Nerpin

Vinegar / 10g: Vinegar's not entirely liked and those who do like it aren't usually very nice. This potion tends to attract the grumpier side of Pixars. These Pixars love to snap, snipe, and be sarcastic. Very clever, but with a cruel bite, and don't get along well with Pixars they see as lesser than themselves. Prefer fighting with wits and words above physically.
Acquired By: Theda & Sosiqui

Quote:
<center>Special Potions
Listed in Alphabetical Order</center>
Anime Sweat: A collection of sweat from all over the world. It allows you to summon up a Pixar from any special place (anime). Because of the various kinds mixed in, this Potion cannot be mixed with any of the regular ones.
Acquired By: Sosiqui

Bug Juice: A Potion that was created from the pheramones of hundreds of thousands of insect species. It will call upon any sort of creature that would be determined a bug or a pest (aside from mammals) to form into a Pixar. Whether or not it could end up with special abilities remains to be seen.
Acquired By: The Magician

Jekyll's Potion: Found in the home of the infamous Dr. Jekyll, this Potion is extremely dangerous. It will produce a Pixar with a split personality disorder: one good, one evil. Due to its dangerous compenents, it cannot be mixed with others.
Acquired By: the Magician & Wasabineko

LonLon Milk: A special mix of delicious milk acquired from the far land of Hyrule. It will call upon a Pixar to form into an exact replica of any of its inhabitants, be them monster or otherwise.
Acquired By: The Magician

Machine Oil: A thick liquid that is nasty to the taste, not that anyone should be drinking it. This is one of the only Special Potions that can be mixed with a regular Potion, or even another Special Potion (provided you are willing to pay for another). This will produce either a totally mechanical Pixar or a Cyborg depending.
Acquired By: The Magician

Moon Dust: A Potion that was created with a specialized spring water from atop the world's highest mountain and fallen Moon Dust. It will call upon a Lunar (otherwise known as a Celestial) type Pixar, molded specfically to its owner's wishes. What personalities and abilities it has remain unknown, and because the mixture is so sensitive, it cannot be mixed with any others.
Acquired By: The Magician

Mystery Goo: A messy goo that was taken from the Mushrooms of the many worlds of Kingdom Hearts. This gooey material will mimic the form of any creature in the worlds, foe or otherwise. Depending on the creature they copy, the personalities will vary. This Potion cannot be mixed with others as it is too thick and cannot be mixed.
Acquired By: The Magician & Sosiqui

Name Pending: An unknown Potion at this time. It seems to make faces and create garbled speech. Since it remains a mystery it will not be mixed with others.
Acquired By: karma_k

Polyjuice: A Potion concocted from various items that dwell in another world of magic. It calls upon a Pixar that will mimic any of its human dwellers. The Potion cannot be mixed with others as it could result in dangerous, everlasting side effects.
Acquired By: Wasabineko

Sun Ray: A Potion concocted much like the Moon Dust, save that it has sat outside right at Noon to absorb the rays of the sun. This will call upon a Solar (or Fire) Pixar with unknown abilities and personalities. Again, the Potion is far too sensitive to be mixed with others.
Acquired By: The Magician

Toilet Water: Acquired from the Mushroom Kingdom, this strange blue Potion calls upon Pixars to replicate the images of the dwellers, both good and bad. Since it will essentially mimic the personalities as well, it does not need to be mixed with others. Abilities remain to be seen.
Acquired By: OniAja

X-Potion: Acquired from many places that all seem to rest within the same nexus. It calls upon Pixars that will mimic the images of any human like characters, good or evil. It will also attain their personalities. It is believed that Pixars of this Potion also retain a high level of stamina due to an incredible level of health. This Potion does not need to be mixed with others.
Acquired By: Neotaki Kazuma

<center>Breeding</center>
The breeding of Pixars is a very strange and magical occurance. It can only happen once a month and there's only enough room to fit three pairs of Pixars in. Each pair, however, produces three bottles worth of their conjoined dust to create a new generation. So, each breeding is guaranteed three bottles.
Unlike the first generation of Pixars, the second generations and so and so forth do not have to go onto a quest to attract their Pixars. They're already here! The breeding fee pays for the bottles and you must go and purchase the Potion(s) to put inside to help the new generation on its way.
Just like the its parents, the Pixar comes out depending entirely on how you take care of the bottle. It will, of course, have some of the features its parents possess and its mentality focused on the Potion(s) but it's still up to you. This is why it's important to spend as much time as you can with your bottle or the new Pixar can come out being something you had not wanted or expected.
The owners of the parent Pixars can do what they please with the bottles. You must, however contact me, Toushin, to let me know what exactly is going to be done. Here is the following list of things you can do:
Trade them for another pet
Give them away
Flat Sale: 2K (25% of this must return to the shop)
Auction: Capped at 5K (Auctions have add-ons that include: the choice of wings, approval of the Pixar before birth, and no need to pay for the Potions. 25% must return to the shop)
Raffle: 100 tickets only at 100g a piece. (25% must return to the shop)

Cost for Breeding: 1000g (500 from Each Owner -- pays for your bottle too)
Breeding is unavailable at this time.

<center>Frequently Asked Questions</center>
Quests? What kinds of quests? -- FloraStar
..:: These quests can be from having to go and find images, dressing up like something, whatever I come up with or anyone else for that matter. Hell, you could end up giving me an idea for your quest too. It's sort of like the evolution quests on the D'shi thread.

What kind of events can happen to them? -- Zero Dream
..:: Well, if you neglect them they can get angry and run away. They can fall asleep, get hungry.. dance. There's different things. They might even want to play a game of cards with you or have you come play hide and seek!

How do they unf? -- Zero Dream
..:: They share their Pixar Dust which comes off their wings. It's almost ritualistic and actually very magical. More details coming later.

Magical, eh? -- FloraStar
..:: Yes, magical. wink

Can I have a custom? -- Tortie
..:: In all actuality you already have a custom coming your way, but if you mean can you pay me to give you a bottle without having to wait for a sale? No, sorry. I'm not gonna be doing that. I may auction off a chance for special kinds of customs though.

The name reminds me of Toy Story and Finding Nemo. -- Sosiqui
..:: You just watch too many movies. xd

"OMG!!11!! I WANTZZZ ONE! CAN I HAV ONE?!" -- Konaru
..:: Wow, had you not posted that and actually read the rules you would have had a chance at getting one.

Why is the Pixar thread always the one that acts whacko when the others are acting fine? 0.o -- Kaekia
..:: Because Gaia sucks. xD

What do you see in the future for pixars? -- ~ReMix VeRsiOn~
..:: I haven't given it too much thought but I can tell you that there will be special types coming out. Nerpin here actually has the first and what could be the only water type Pixar as a special gift from me for letting me use space on her server. There will be a Lunar and Demon one sometime in the future.

Items will be added as well, though what those are I haven't really come up with yet. These won't be the clothes your Pixar is wearing but things like toys, food, ectera.

"..So..if I call them something different..can I steal them =D??" -- Konaru
..:: No, you can't because I have rabies and I won't hesitate to chase yer a** down. o_o

In the future, might you consider trading a Pixar for another Breedable? :X -- Konaru
..:: It depends on the breedable. I will probably make a list of what ones I would want, and I actually love doing pet trades. smile

Will we be able to have accessories and such... and will we be able to change the clothes they're wearing once they're formed... like... for whatever random reason that we'd want to do that. -- Theda
..:: I think that if people wish to have the clothes changed it'll cost maybe another 500g or so for each change. I'll consider it. :3

Can Pixar bottles have more than one potion? -- Lupin
..:: You know, I never really pondered that. I think I will allow it but you'll have to pay another 5g for the mixing process.

Can I affiliate with you? -- Toushin
..:: I would like to have a look at your shop first, honestly. I'm a really weird guy when it comes that but please feel free to pose the question to me on the thread or via le PM. smile

What is the process to buy a bottle ? I mean, do you buy the bottle and decide the potion after you been confirmed to have the bottle, or do yuo say a bottle + what potion you want ? -- Zero Dream
...:: In order to obtain a bottle all you need to do is post that you want one, and hope that no one posted before. I will go through and confirm the list of owners and if your name is on there, post what potion or potions (you can have up to 2 mixed) you want and send the trade to me for the appropriate amount.

Can I instant message you? -- Toushin
..:: Yeah, feel free to message me but please be ready to tell me who you are. I hate when people IM me and never tell me who they are. I refuse to talk to you and I will put you on ignore.

Can I buy more than one bottle? -- Toushin
..:: You can buy one other bottle, but you have to do so in separate posts. Meaning, post one you buy for yourself or for that person, and then post two you buy for that other person. This is to give everyone else a chance. HOWEVER. This is not allowed in the first sale.

How many can we own? -- Tortie
..:: You can own up to three. I don't want a lot of ownership due to the fact that these are Event Mode characters, and unless I get help, I don't want to have a lot of work to do.

Can we co-own? -- Toushin
..:: Yes! You are more than welcomed to co-own with one other person.

Are there any roleplaying requirements... as in, you absolutely MUST RP the pet on a very regular basis or bad things will happen? Or is this a good pet for someone who would take care of it but not have the time for very involved daily RP? -- Sosiqui
..:: A very good questions, Sosiqui, but no. You do not have to be here every single day but I would like to see you at least three times a week, even if it's just to say hello and talk to us. I don't count bumping the thread as being active though. This pet is perfect for either kinds of people: those who love to RP, and those who can't always be here to RP but still wish to own. All in all, I would like RP but I'm not on a high demand for it.

Lets say another store owner donates x money, and gets Jerry partially. Could they maybe put it in their store, as both a commercial for this pet, and a pet since their part of the 'list'? -- Nerpin
..:: Yes. I will more than definitely allow this so long as the tag is not tampered with. smile

How many bottles of dust will come from a breeding? -- JadeEye
..:: Up to three bottles of dust can come out of a breeding.

Do we still need the potion for the offspring? -- Lupin
..:: Yes, while you do not need the potion to attract the dust, you need it for the offspring to feed on. The potions not only act as a lure but they are also a metabolization factor and are what give the Pixars their forms.
