Yep, it's true. This thread is the first regular Trade-Up quest, and that means that if you're already annoyed by them, it's our fault. Incidentally, having spawned a bajilion copies annoys us just as much.

The idea itself comes from Kyle MacDonald, a 28-year old Canadian who traded a red paperclip for a house, in wchich he now lives. Read more about him and his story here.

How it works:
You start with something small and simple. Offer to trade it for something else - preferably a little more worth in value - but not necessarily. After all, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Keep trading "up" until you get to the item you were aiming for. The end!

So now that, hopefully, everything is clearly explained, I have only one thing to add: Trade us!

OK guys. I feel like I need to explain myself.
This thread is not just a quest thread. For me, it's primarily a place (in a virtual sense) to have a lot of fun, chat, and sometimes just a place to return to. I quit my quest by selling the OMFG, an item I managed to trade up all the way from a silly black giftbox - wchich is enough of an achievement, I think, despite I didn't make it to the goal. Actually, depending how you look at it, I achieved my goal after all. I sold the OMFG and a couple of other stuff I had lying around and bought a Kiki - wchich will now be referred to as Daniel - and so my quest for it is over. But this thread will be never over, even after Moonie is finished with her own quest (wchich I hope will happen soon) and after that, who knows? We might remake this thing into a small charity or host lotteries every now and then. One thing I'm sure of, I don't want it to die. I met really cool people thanks to this quest, you know! heart

So trade up with Moonie, for this quest is now just her own, and remember: It's just pixels! ^_~

Moonie is back from wherever she went. Rose will be on vacation in Gdansk from 16th to 26th of August, and then in Germany and will be back in September. (I'll miss you! ;^; )

Guess what? I, Rosegasm have been on Gaia for two years now! I joined on May 19th, 2005 wchich means my Gaiaversary is coming very soon. There will be a separate party thread on the 19th, as well as Towns party in my house in 42 Barton 1161 (Shadow Gallery). Everyone who traded with us so far is, of course, invited. I will begin sending out invitations soonish, but they will only serve as a reminder, you don't need to have one to come and have fun. heart
