Jan 31 -- Okay, it's been a super long time since the front page has been updated, so that's what I'm doing. I set up a yearly schedule to try and help organize events abit so look forward to lots of action in the future! The next event up in line is a Valentine's Event which will include a Twin Auction, Valentine Pre-mades, and a Valentine's Flatsale!

It was during the Great Storm that the Baeshra-Ixen first came to the island; the storm had raged for days, ripping apart trees and shredding the land with violent wind and rain, ravaging the countryside with its power. On the fourth day of the Storm, lightning struck one of the largest trees on the island, igniting a fire that spread quickly over the plains.

The fire raged for another four days before the Spirits of Baeshra-Ixen, the Fire Animals, crept from the inferno. They were shapeless, powerful creatures of elemental power and supreme intelligence, borne of fire and sustained by the heat that created them. They surveyed the territory and found it to their liking, and decided to stay.

The Baeshra-Ixen took the forms of many animals in the early days of their existence, testing each for weaknesses and strengths, but decided at last upon the form of the lion, for its strength and nobility. The Spirits rebuilt the island to suit their needs, using their powers to create a territory, perfectly balanced to sustain them. The Great Fire died down, and only the Spirits, now taken lion-form, remained.

After a time, they began to feel lonely, having no creatures on this island with whom they might share their power and intellect, and so they held a gathering to decide what to do. At last, they descended upon the natural lions of the island and fused their spirits with them, creating lions infused with the power and magic of Baeshra-Ixen; these lions, blessed with the power of the Great Fire, would be beautifully and exotically patterned and many inherited vestiges of the original Spirit's power. These lions, hand-chosen by Baeshra-Ixen, bred and passed on their unique qualities, populating the island and living beneath the guidance of the Spirits for many generations.

The Prides

The Baeshra are divided into Prides :3. (For a list of pride members, please check the guild.)

Aryte-Maekrix
Led by {Esgarion/Fenshae}
The most traditional of the prides, the Aryte-Maekrix are noble warriors and natural-born leaders. They believe in the power of hard work and dedication, and will always fight with honor. This pride attracts many hunters, warriors, and lions with a heroic streak--an excellent place for a young lion to prove himself.

Irisv-Arcaniss
Led by {Faer-Athyik/Lonewolf_Eyes}
These lions tend to be quiet and mysterious, and tend to have slightly more females than the other prides. Baeshra-Ixen in this pride often practice magic, and many have powers of future-sight; all believe in healing and protection, and none will refuse a lion in need, whatever pride it may belong to. This pride, because of its solemn vow to protect and serve all Baeshra-Ixen, rarely takes direct part in wars, but is a valuable ally due to its concentration of magic.

Vaeri-Thurirl
Led by {Vorel Kear/LizzyCat}
Sometimes lions just like to have fun--that's the philosophy of the Vaeri-Thurirl, whose main goal in life is to enjoy it to its fullest. These lions are hedonists, placing their pleasure above more noble duties, but almost everyone loves them because wherever one goes, there is always an adventure to be had. Dare-devils, practical-jokers, and storytellers, these lions occasionally go too far in their search for fun, but are usually well-meaning. They prefer to stay out of wars that don't immediately concern them, but can be fierce warriors when provoked.

Kurik-Vilym
Led by {Zenobia/Zelfira}
The villains of Baeshra-Ixen society, but they of course don't see it that way; rather, they are opportunists. They are often of very high intelligence, and simply do not see the point in acting in the best interests of the whole at the expense of the self; sometimes thieves, bandits, rogues, or murderers, and sometimes only smooth-talkers or disinterested spectators, these lions value originality and a dog-eat-dog attitude above all else. They despise the Aryte-Maekrix with the depth of their being, finding them to be sycophants and weaklings, and many have been known to pick fights with the other prides just for fun.

Outsiders/Loners
Cubs choose their pride in their adolescence, based upon their personality, skills, and allegiances. Often, they will end up in a very different pride from their parents, and very rarely, they may change prides later in life.
Despite this, sometimes it happens that a lion never chooses a pride at all. This happens most often with lions born to the Kurik-Virlym, as they often won't be accepted by other prides, but can happen to any individual. These loners wander the territory, and often live a difficult life, having no protection or company. Some prides--specifically the Vaeri-Thurirl and Irisv-Arcaniss--may befriend these loners without question, but for the most part, being a loner is a hard lifestyle to choose due to the shifting loyalties and power dynamics of the four prides; it's not uncommon for a loner to be caught up in battle between other prides.

CUBS
A playful little creature, freshly born into the world. As most young children, they like to explore and disobey parents orders. At this point, their elements are still unknown and little mistakes are always happening.

Stuck in between the stages of child and adult, the teen can either be unruly and stubborn or obedient and careful. They have learned a bit about their Elements by now and are learning how to use them.

Finally, fully grown into a respected Adult. Time to find your self a mate.
Your Element Powers are powerful, useful tools but there can still be some mistakes.

Are the pets RP required?
No, but please don't grab and go. Pets who are grabbed and never seen again will not grow. We understand that maybe your not the best RPer or real life might be distracting, but even popping in every now and then to say hello will earn you growth. Those who do rp lots and show support might be able to earn the Elder Stage and also be permitted to breed.

Do we direct link?
Yes, Until your pet is full grown. After that, please save to your own server. The only way I wouldn't be able to direct link is if I can't figure out how it works...lmao.

Wait a minute! Lonewolf_Eyes's Baeshra is different! How come???
Lonewolf_Eyes is the Owner and Creator of Baeshra Ixen. They used to be available as customs for a price, but the colorist is no longer with us.

Breeding Rules

Begging for another's offspring will get you instantly blacklisted

Baeshra will produce between 2-5 cubs

If their aren't any slots available, then don't ask to breed.

Cosplays will be permitted to bring as long as they are adult or breeding with another Perma-pet
in the same stage (cub to cub). They will produce perma-pets.

Same Sex Breedings will be permitted, but a special potion must be purchased and sprinkled on the
Great Tree. The Great Tree will then, within a week to a month, will produce the offspring containing
the markings of both parents.

A third-party Baeshra may be used in place of the special potion, but the markings of the offspring
will be that of the third-party baeshra and the male baeshra who she was mated with.

Parents will recieve one cub for free, others can be sold, auctioned or raffled off with the parents
getting a portion of the money.

As co-owning is not allowed, the 2nd parent has the option to buy the 2nd cub for a small fee.

I would like to see atleast alittle bit of Roleplay between the Couple before breeding is decided.
