LE PREMISE:

Essentially, it's a very basic plot. It's pretty much the basis for a many a comic book. You have a city, you have your superheros, you have your villains and your civilians. Villains commit crime, heros stop them or attempt to. I've added a bit more too it though. Now mind you, this idea isn't mine, nor is it hellishly clever, but really, when you're making a superhero rp, doesn't anything go?

Currently, in the city, people are discovering latent powers. (Heroes much?) Whether they use these powers to become a superhero, a villain, or just ignore them is entirely up to them.

When it comes to your hero/villain/noobin (ie: my term for the people with powers who just discovered them)you can create them however you like. Hell, if five of you want to band together and create a little committee, go right on ahead. Give yourselves a fancy name and go kick some a**. I'm down.

If you want to play a runaway kid with a bunch of other runaway kids (Runaways much?) have a blast.

All I ask is that the characters be of your own design. Sure, you can have someone else's power, (like, if you want to be able to shoot spiderwebs out of your body), but don't be Spiderman. Be someone else.

Characters can switch from good to bad if they want. Or vice versa. They can be flexible. A person can start out as a civvie, and then discover a power. If you intend to have your character do this, just PM me from the get go and let me know.

This is really pretty much a free for all, just like any other city in any other comic book. There is no predetermined plot because I don't want to know what happens next. I want there to be surprises.

I love surprises.

RULES:

Woo woo. There's really not that many folks. I'd like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and assume you all know what to do and what not to do when it comes to the TOS. Here's a few specific to this rp:

1. No OOC drama please. I love me some IC drama, I mean really, think about it. A comic book is like a Soap Opera. So and so loves so and so. Whats his face dies. She turns out to be a murderous werewolf. Yep. IC drama rocks.
2. Anyway, notice how I mentioned werewolf up there? Supernatural creatures are totally allowed. Bring me your vampires, your werewolves, and your extra terrestrials. The more variety, the merrier.
3. Expect characters to die. It's what happens in comic books. Of course, I want there to be some respect that comes with killing someone else's character.

a. Ask them OOC either in the thread or by PM if it is ok if you kill their character. They may have a huge plot point coming up that they want their character to live for.
b. Make multiple characters, maybe even making one who you intend to die.
c. If you're only rping one character and that character dies, you can just make another. It's easy to introduce a new person into this rp. Just have them move on it.

Trust me, I am very accomodating about bringing people into my rps.

What I expect when it comes to literacy/posting frequency:

1. I want people to be semi-lit to advanced lit. I know that's a pretty broad spectrum, but I don't want to limit the people who can join. When I started rping, I was semi-lit, and only through rping with people who were advanced did I get any better. So, I want this to be a growing experience for people too. I want everyone to become a better rper.

2. I want people to post enough so that they're not holding anything up. If you're going to be away, just PM me, and we can make arrangements for your character to be elsewhere, or someone will NPC them. It's entirely up to you since it is your baby.

I think that about sums it up, but these rules may change.

First off, I'll take as many characters as I can. I do want some sort of balance though, so if I get 5 heroes, 5 noobins, and no villains, I'm going to have to set some limits.

Keep in mind that Heroes want to either persuade the noobins to become Heroes, or to keep their lives sane and pretend their powers never existed.
