Welcome to my workshop!

A first impression is important. You might have the most beautiful line art, and great coloring, but if the information posts in your shop are riddled with typos people might still be put off. I can help you catch the small mistakes and make your shop as great as it should be.

I will also help you with description for the avatar arena. Bad spelling and grammar can cost you those precious tens even if your avatar is stunning.

This is what I can offer right now:

exclaim Basic proof reading – I will look for typos and grammar errors.

exclaim Proof reading and suggestions – Same as above but with suggestions for re-writes.

exclaim Help with massive re-writes on a case by case basis.

exclaim Free evaluation.

exclaim If you need other services: ask me and we might be able to figure something out.

NEWS

April 25, 2007: Due to a lot of real life stress I will not be able to work on anything before the weekend. sad I'm sorry, it'll take some more time but I will get everything done.
April 12, 2007: Shop is open but still under construction.
April 13, 2007: We've got a banner. (And now you can see why I run a writing workshop and not a banner shop!)
April 15, 2007: You can now rate my shop at Better Business.

~Prices~

Basic proof reading: 5g per post checked, 20g for entire shop (all posts on front page).
5 g to proof read an entry before posting on the avatar arena.

With suggestions: Add 10 gold to the above prices. If I can't find anything in need of a re-write you only have to pay the basic fee.

There's no fee if I can’t find any mistakes at all.

I’ll look at your shop or avatar description for free and give you an estimated cost.

No mistakes found in a post or entry = you don't have to pay for that post!

Beta reading: Give me the specifics and state what you'd be willing to pay me. I'll accept if I have the time and find the price fair.

Do you have problems with your shop? I can help you identify the problems and how to mend them. I will put a survey together and distribute it among 5-10 people in the age range you specify. This will help you find out what your potential customers really think about your shop. I will evaluate their answers and give you advice on how to proceed.

Q: What time zone are you in?
A: GMT+1, you can find my local time here!

Q: Can I post orders and questions even if you're offline?
A: Sure, you can post questions anytime and orders whenever they're open. But remember: if it's in the middle of the night where I live it might take some time to get an answer.

Q: Will you write .... for me?
A: No, sorry. I don't write from scratch, but I will do heavy re-writes if necessary. You'll need a basic story, avatar description or shop description but I can help you flesh it out and improve it.

Q: Can you help me with something that's not listed here?
A: It depends on what it is, please ask and we might be able to figure something out.

Q: Isn't it a rip off to charge for spell check... How is this different from pasting my post into Word for a spell check?
A: The basic proof reading is more than a simple spell check. Unlike a computer program I can find words that are spelled correctly but used incorrectly. Complete nonsense sentences can pass the spell check in Word as long as the individual words are spelled correctly. However, a spell check will get you a long way and if you’d rather save your gold and check your posts yourself that’s fine with me. smile
