A mother walked into her childs room. "Are you ready for your bedtime story?" she asked and looked around for her son. "I promise to live up to your father"

The child came out from under his bed. "I'll give you a try for one night. Dad better be back tomorrow."

The mother nodded. "I'm sure you like this story."She waited for her son to get into bed. She started when he was ready.

"A long time ago- a really, really long time ago, in a place behind what they call the Curtain of Dreams, or the Curtain of Power, there was this young god-"

"Like Apollo?"

"Sort of. But not greek. He was celtic. He was the son of the king, and when he was of age, he visited our world and he met a girl and fell in love."

The son's mouth twisted. "How come that always happens?"

"We will talk about that later. So, they fell in love, and even though it wasn't really allowed then, his parents let him bring the girl home with him so they could be married. This was okay with some of the gods, but it wasn't
okay with some of the others. There were battles and -"

"Cool"

"The world split into two kingdoms, I guess you could say. One with the young god becoming ruler with his human wife, and the other ruled by, well, a wicked sorcerer."

"Way cool"

"The young king had three daughters. They call them demigoddesses because they're part human. Each of the daughters had special gift. One with music, or art, another was writing, or knowledge, and the third was courage, I guess. Valor."

It made her mouth a little dry thinking of it, but she swallowed and went on. "They were very close to each other, the way sisters should be, and their parents loved them. To keep them safe while there was this trouble going on, they had them guarded and taught by a warrior and teacher. Then- try not to groan- the warrior and the teacher fell in love." He let his head fall back and stared at the ceiling. "I just knew it."

"Not being sarcastic 8 year old boys, the daughters were happy for them, and covered for them when they slipped off a little way to be alone. So these girls weren't guarded as well as maybe they should have been. The wicked sorcerer took advantage of that, and he snuck close and cast a spell. The spell stole the souls of the daughters and locked them in a glass box with three locks and three keys."

"Man that sucks for them."

"It sure does. The souls are trapped there, in the box, and can't get out until the keys are turned in the lock- one by one- and only by the hand of a mortal. A human."

The boy looked at his mother.

"See, because they were half human, this sorcerer made it so only someone from our world could save them. Bacause he didn't think it could be done. The teacher was given the keys- but she can't work them- and she and the warrior were cast out, and into this world. In every generation they have to ask three humans, the three humans who are the only ones who can unlock the box, to find the keys.
They have to be hidden and found as part of the quest, part of the spell. And each one of the chosen has to go in turn, and has just four weeks to find the key and put it in the lock."

"Wow, Mom where you one of the ones who had to find a key. How come you were chosen?"

The mother blushed and nodded. "At one point I was one of the chosen." She let out a little breath. Her son was a bright and logical boy. "I don't know exactly. We look- well I did look like one of the daughters. The chosen, I guess, have to look like the daughters. The daughters of Glass, they're called. Rowena's an artist, and she has a painting of them at the peak. It's connections, son. There's something th,at connects us to each other, to the keys, and to the daughters. I guess you could say it's fate."

"What happened, Mom?" The boy was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"The woman after me didn't complete her quest. She didn't find the key in time. She died trying."

"So your saying the daughter's are stuck in the box, till the next chosen save them?"

"Their souls are. Their bodies are in glass coffins- um, like Snow White. Waiting."

Kindering
Gaian Name: Kindering
Name: Jonah Fornin
Age: 19
Appearance: [x]
Personality: Jonah is childish, he's sarcastic, withdrawn from most people, and avoids most confrontations, whether good or bad. Most of this is because of the "incident" with his father, yet he had always been this way to some degree. He tries hard to show no weakness and keep his cool, and he is relatively good at it. Brutally honest, Jonah tries to brush off as Apathetic, but most people that actually know him, which there are not many, know this is only a defense mechanism he developed over the years.
Position: Man (Pick which one!)
Bio/History: Jonah Fornin has a secret, one that no one knows, well, no one but him and his great Uncle that is. When he was nine, his father became a constant customer in a little bar that was walking distance from where they stayed. His father was normally a nice man, he always seemed down on his luck, but nice none the less, that is until he started drinking. As a drunk his father became violent, always yelling or beating Jonah and his mother. This lasted for awhile, until the drinking became even worse. Late one night, only days after his tenth birthday, Jonah's father came home very late, smelling of booze and vomit. That night, Jonah's father became so enraged, he took a knife to his mother, then attempted to kill the young man as well, before committing suicide. Yet a miracle occurred, and the young boy survived. After his release, Jonah moved to in with his new guardian, Jonathan Lionel, his great uncle, who was also an astound artist and musician when in his prime.

Random Things:

(I needed a post where I could just put anything into it... like notes or info some for myself and maybe others too... who ever wish to use the notes and or random stuffs^_^)
Slowly he moved, his footsteps echoing loudly on the cobblestone below him. He had followed the invitation word for word, yet why was he so nervous? He wasn't sure about the whole ordeal to begin with, but what else should he have done? At first he thought it was a joke, someone's way of making him into a laughing stock. Yet he finally let curiosity get the best of him, and now here he was. He stared up at the massive peak before him. If his great uncle hadn't of insisted, he's not sure what would be happening now. Taking a quick glance at his watch, he seems how late it is. Dinner would be done, and he would have already been in bed hours ago... He felt foolish for coming.
(I'll be playing Rowena and Pitte till I can find someone able and willing to play them.)

Rowena paced the front corridor, her foot falls echoed through the front rooms.

Pitte watched his beloved his eyes never leaving her small frame. "Do not worry, love. They will come. These young ones are teh next generation, though I don't understand why we need to keep doing this, none of them will pass. Just like the last group." he spoke softly to her.

"They will! They have too. I believe in them. They will find love, adventure, and friendships together... like the last group. We won't lose any of them this time." she spoke as she contiuned to pace, not looking at him.

"How do you suppose to keep them safe my love. The minute they even get close to the grounds of this estate, their fates are sealed, he will attack them. One by one. None of them are safe... not even with us, though he can not enter into this house. He still watches and listens." he sighed softly as he leaned against the door frame. He was feeling old and worn out. He had been through all this before and he didn't want to do it anymore, yet he knew why he had too. "Your right my love. They will come. Just like before. We have watched them since they were young and know they will." he spoke softly moving closer to her he wrapped his hands around her waist softly and held her close, kissing her forehead. "Relax love." he spoke softly.

Rowena smiled at him. "They will not leave this house, unless it's time for the quest. We still have to give them the choice of if they want to be part of this or not, it is up to them after all. The only problem is the girls... they have to be willing to lose everything." she spoke softly and placed her arms around his waist as he held her close. "The men might not be willing to lose the girls even if they don't admit it... They will fall in love with them, in a mer few days time before the quests. You know it happens everytime. Arthur was heartbroken when Claira died. I don't think I could handle losing another girl. I'm not ready this time, but it must be done... Our princesses must be freed from the spell. It's been far to long centuries to long." she sighed and moved out of his embrace. "All of them are late... Did I put the wrong date on the invitations? We should just hold the dinner tomorrow or the day after... If any show up we will have them spend the night to keep them safe." she opened the front door and looked out side.
((Alright))

The young man continued slowly up the twisted path, no longer in control of his fleeting steps. His surroundings amazed him. Drawing the coat he wore tighter, he realized how cold it had started on this path. The wind whistled in his ears, the moon shining brightly above him, illuminating each breath he took. This place felt...eerie... His steps come to a halt as he hears the squeaking of metal and wood, light flooding over him, his eyes turn to its source, catching on the silhouette that stood in the pathway.
Rowena blinked a few times seeing the young man, she finally smiled. "Well are you going to stand there all night or come in out of the cold." she spoke so he could hear her.

Pitte moved beside her and saw the young man. "Well beloved... Seems your guests are starting to arrive slowly." he spoke and moved away from her and the door.

Rowena stepped to the side to let the young man in the front hallway of her home. She may have been around for centuries, but her and Pitte still looked somewhat young.
His brow furrowed, he was confused. It was cold out here, but was it really any better in there? His mind ran rampant, and his feet stopped listening. Instead they carried him forward, into the doorway, into that strange place. "Who...are you?" He was barely able to muster the words, which came out barely above a whisper.
Rowena looked at him with a bit of concern and yet calm and soft eyes. "My name is Rowena. I'm guessing you got one of the invitations?" bowing her head slightly. She was happy he was here safely, she wanted to know as much as she could about him. "Your name is?" she asked softly.

One of the butlers came through waiting to take the young mans things.
His eyes move quickly at the things around him. Studying the face of the two that seemed to be the hosts, he drew the invitation from his pocket slowly. "My name is..." He thought about lying, "Jonah...and do you mean this?" He shows the slip to them. He ignored the butler behind him, since he didn't have many possession with him anyways.
