Welcome to the Beautiful World.

Kino is a traveler.
She rides on the back of her partner, Hermes, a talking motorcycle.
Together, they journey from country to country, meeting new people, learning about new cultures, and only staying at each place for three days.

I'm Kino Hermes, but this is actually a mule account. I'm also L Lawliet so you'll see him bump and post here sometimes too.

–Land of Introductions–

This is a small fan–thread and information thread for the anime Kino's Journey, or Kino's Travels. Since no such thread exists, or lives for more than a couple pages, I wanted to create this place :3

–Main Characters–
Kino had to leave her home country at a young age or she would have been killed by her parents. For a small amount of time, she was a student under a woman who she only called Master. She wields her guns with great accuracy and uses them for protection. She is very level headed and doesn't like to get mixed up with any county's problems when she visits them.

Hermes is a childish motorcycle who travels with Kino. He is a somewhat humorous character, and isn't afraid to tell Kino what he thinks about the people and places they meet.

–Land of Information–

This is a short series, only 13 episodes, which is dubbed by ADV. There is a movie (plus another movie coming out next month) and a small 12 minute episode but sadly these have not been dubbed into English. Tokyopop is also releasing (at a very slow pace) the light novel series that the anime was based on. The novels go under the name "Kino no Tabi".

If you want to know more about this series, this fanmade website is very helpful. Or, go to The Wikipedia Kino's Journey page. Also, the English Kino's Journey site has some information, but the website hasn't been updated, it seems, in a while. Also, the Kino no Tabi Livejournal site is regularly filled with current information and news about this series.

April 21, 2007 = Kino's Journey: The Land of Sick –For You– movie will come out in Japan! (Watch trailer here.)

June 29, 2007 = Kino no Tabi II novel comes out! (Unless Tokyopop decides to push back the release date a few more months again.... ¬_¬)
July 12, 2007 = Kino no Tabi II novel really comes out?? Ok, I am just confused with this matter, but I will try to see if it gets pushed back anymore...
Feburary 12, 2008 = Kino no Tabi II novel comes out????
That's it, I'm just going to TELL you when I get the second book in my hands, or when a FINAL release date comes out.

I watched Kino's Journey last year in its entirety, and it was nice to see something different in anime besides super ninjas and big chested girls. By the way, I always thought that episode 0 was pretty weird...
