Chikotae watched the wind female's temper flare and he stood there grinning menacingly at her, his dark eyes glinting with glee. He was enjoying every moment of this now, perhaps more then he should. But then how often did he really partake in tormenting or frustrating others? It had been a while. "Temper temper my dear little icy mare. Be careful or your heated blood might melt your fragile little body."
He laughed to himself, not loudly but not softly either. He took a few steps closer, surveying the angery blue mare, her eyes blazing with an icy cold look. Such a contradiction really. such fire for a cold creature such as herself. "Oh a warning you call it? I perceived it as instigating an argument, why insulting my ability to survive in the moutains and all. But then what else should i expect from such a cold hearted mare as yourself? You probably know nothing but how to be cold, emotionless, a mask hiding from the world and all those in it." Much like himself really. Was he really describing her as he saw her, or was he sort of looking at himself?
"Oh? hit a sore spot did I? You know nothing if abandonment like I do..." His dark eyes flared and gleamed with their hint of crimson, bitterness and resentment shining clearly in them. Abandonment was not a subject he took lightly. "At least they were there, even if for a short time. You were not left to die like I was... no food, no protection...nothing. Waiting for the predators to find you for their next meal, or die of starvation. Whichever came first.." He stomped a hoof and flexed his wings, his voice growing very angry as he seemed to relive the memories. " I never knew my mother or father or siblings. Nor do I want to. They can all die horrible, slow painful deaths for all I care. A nightmare you call it? At least we agree on something."
He listened at her last words and shook his head. "Foolish mare." He hissed his words softly at her now, every word still dripping with the bitter hatred he felt. " Why let others into your heart so they can only leave and abandon you? Such a notion is beyond my comprehension. One does not need anyone but themself." He turned to look at the mountains, longing for their isolation, their protection from the pain he also felt. His gaze was fixed on the highest peaks. "I do not wish to seek out others love to only feel pain when they leave. " He whispered softly, this last comment. A part of him wanted nothing more then to be needed and lvoed, but a larger part of himself pushed that inside and would not let it out. He did not need anyone. He could trust no one to be there and never leave him.
