Intro

Is this thread beginning to look familiar? Aye, it should, because I remade my previous one. The number of pages seemed to scare people away, when it was really just bumping. SO! Here we are again.

Let's learn a little about me. I'm very easy-going, I won't bite your head off if you talk to me. I love talking to new people, so I'd probably get to know you a little before we roleplayed each time. I'll be nice to you if you're nice to me, okay? Great! I usually save the last posts, I'm a stickler about those kinds of things. I'll probably save the last four posts, and give you the last post.

Steps/Guidelines/Rules

1. Please be male, or play male characters.
2. Please have a tolerable grasp of the English language, like spelling and grammar (typos are okay; we all make mistakes).
3. On posts - If they're over messengers, then I usually just type paragraphs/couple paragraphs back and forth, since you can get a lot of information, and both of us aren't sitting in front of the computer typing for three years on one post. I'm a little impatient if I like the roleplay. xD
4. I have no ratings on anything, I just don't want to type out the characters having sex for a trillion posts.
5. Absolutely no anthro.
6. No one-liners (but I think that goes along with the literacy bit)
7. I will do this over AIM or MSN, though I'll do them over PMs, too.
8. I don't want the characters to love each other before the first day of their meeting is over. That doesn't seem real.
9. Character-wise, I play characters that are innocent to some things, yet privy to many other things, so, yeah.
10. I add in a little drama, though I don't overload on it. For example, in Honor's Splendour, her brother beats her, which gives her a reason to want to leave.
11. I play girl characters. What I am willing to do, however, is double up on characters (Say if you're a girl playing a male character, but would like to play a female main as well). I would be more than willing to play a main male to be the romantic counterpart to your lead female, if you are willing to play the male partner to my lead female as well.

I really am not asking for perfection, I make mistakes as well, but at least give it, you know, effort? That should be all...

Notes::

Medieval - I usually add elements of fantasy, but not full-blown fantasy, if that makes sense. Ask me if you're interested in what I mean.

School - Definitely not a normal roleplay, so I don't like teachers that are wimpy and pushy. I want a twisted teacher that knows what he wants. xP

Vampire - Don't play the average seductive vampire. That's boring. Make him unique. I try to make my characters weird, and I'd hope you would do the same.

Faerie - Might help if you've read Holly Black's Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside. If not, that's all right. I can explain my version of the faeries, but Holly Black does a pretty good job with most of it.

Demon - Again, not just a generic demon. Have a demon with a secret, with a hobby on earth. Something like that.

Plots

Title: Princess Promise User Image

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Medieval-esque

Lord Freidrick became the king's best friend. The trust the king placed in Freidrick was unending. Even the royal family trusted him with their lives, except for the prince. One night, as everyone lay asleep, Lord Freidrick crept into the king's sleeping chambers and did the unspeakable. He killed the king and his queen. Prince Ralos had predicted this would happen, and switched his sister with a girl who was magicked to look exactly like her. His sister was living with a poor family in the city, hidden away from Lord Freidrick who wished to marry the Princess and claim the throne after Prince Ralos' death. However, two things went awry. The Prince escaped, and the Princess was not actually the princess. Now that Freidrick was tied to the faux princess and had no claim to the throne, he took some more rash actions.
Princess Arylla, living in the city, found that she had taken being a princess for granted. She had no power to change how these people were living. Her new family consisted of a mother, an older brother, and a younger sister. She found that they were beginning to suspect something was wrong. Since only the two girls and Ralos knew about the switch, and were the only ones who should know, this wouldn't end well. The girl's brother, named Maroth (change the name if you'd like, I don't mind), found out about the switch. Arylla's magick is taken off, and they can't figure out how to put it back on. Now Freidrick has found out about the switch, and is preparing to grab the princess. Arylla and Maroth must restore Ralos to the throne before Freidrick can get to her!

Title: The Prince User Image

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Medieval-esque

Caselle is an innocent girl, though she has been instructed to poison the king by the resistance group. The king is a cruel, perverted man who loves the pleasure of women's flesh, killing, and striking fear into his vassals. Under the guise of a princess, she claims she needs a home for a few months, since she wants to learn the ways of the countries. What she didn't expect, however, is a handsome prince that she encounters in the woods. He is looking for the assassin to kill his father. The prince is against his father all the way. He actually funds the projects for the resistance group. He doesn't figure that Caselle is the assassin, and Caselle doesn't know that he is part of the resistance group. They both are quite secretive about the thing they have most in common -- their hatred for the king.
Her carriage, she claims, was attacked by bandits, so they're forced to share a horse. He escorts her back to the palace, where she is trying to meet the king, and he is trying to hide her from him.

Genre: Romance, Medieval, Fantasy

Two countries have been constantly at odds for years. The littlest things flare up into fights. Over the years, it has grown worse and worse. Finally, King Patri has decided enough is enough. He sends his son, disguised as a bard, to kill the King and his daughter. The princess is rumored to be the ugly sort, but when the prince arrives, he finds she is anything but. She seems to be interested in the bard, but why him? The prince is doing all he can to keep himself from taking the princess instead of killing the king. The prince now sees another solution to this feud of long years... Marriage.

Title: Bounty's Piracy User Image

Genre: Pirate, romance

A young bounty hunter (My character) has found her target. A pirate captain (your character). Disguising herself as a man, she tries to convince him to bring her aboard, only so she can kill him when they dock across the sea. When the voyage has just begun, she already presses her luck. First of all, the captain finds out she is a woman. Eventually, she must come to kill him, but feels she cannot. Though she is going to be paid lavishly in her capturing of the man, she loves him when the voyage is over. What will she decide?

Genre: Medieval, Romance

Camille, an English lady, promised her friend, Katherine, a Scottish woman, that when she had her first child, she would help with the birth of her friend's child. Since it was a heartfelt promise, sure enough, Katherine sent for Camille. Katherine's husband is the brother of the Laird of the Maitland clan. Camille has two reasons to go to Scotland; her friend is having a child, and her real father is somewhere among the Highland clans. The Laird of the Maitland clan, Iain, went to get Camille himself. He wanted to be able to deny her himself. He is a man hardened by his position; he should rule with respect, and to get that respect, he'd have to rule with an iron fist. However, Lady Camille is the most perplexing woman he ever meets. Soon, he finds, that he cannot deny her, nor can he ever let her go back to England. They are both swept up by a current of deep feelings for each other.

Genre: Medieval, Romance

Lady Brenna was set out to Scotland to become the bride of a man rumored to be cruel and evil. Her father had formed an alliance between Laird MacIntire and himself, so he could have the Highlanders at his aid when it was needed. Laird Ramsey Sinclair (Name can be changed, just keep it 'Medieval and scottish') had vowed to gain revenge on Laird MacIntire for the murder of his father several years ago. He sought this revenge in one way and one way only -- to marry the woman meant for MacIntire. He took her to his keep and battled against the evil MacIntire, all while the two lost their hearts to each other.

Title: Good Duke, Be Gentle User Image

Genre: Medieval, Romance

Madelyne's (My character) life is going all right. Her father, a Duke, gets her everything she could possibly want, but she isn't ungrateful for it all. She works hard to try to help her father in the increasing debt he is in. When he goes away for another trip, or so Madelyne thinks, the nearby Duke Nathaniel (Your character, name can be changed, but try to keep it 'medieval')comes to collect the debt her father owes him. At first, the Duke seeks Madelyne's hand in marriage. When she tells him to ask her father, his soldiers kidnap her. To be honest, the Duke lusts for Madelyne. After his lust is fufilled, however, he begins to fall in love with her. Madelyne first serves as a maid to Nathaniel, but soon, he marries her.

Title: Honor's Splendour User Image

Genre: Medieval, Romance

Baron Duncan of Wexton wants revenge. The cruel Baron Louddon has raped his sister. Duncan rides to Louddon's fortress with his soldiers, though he hides them in the forest surrounding the keep. He rides into the fortress alone, knowing Baron Louddon will not honor the delicate truce between the warring lands. His assumption proved correct when Duncan was tied to a post in the center of the courtyard and left to freeze to death in the cold weather. Louddon leaves his fortress on important business for the King.
That's when Madelyne comes in. Madelyne is Baron Louddon's sweet-tempered half sister. Baron Duncan thinks he is seeing an angel when she rescues him. She brings him into a back room, and he pretends to need the help. His soldiers scale the walls of the fortress and begin to kill the remaining soldiers at the keep. Duncan takes Madelyne away as a key to his revenge on Louddon. At first he puts distance between enchanting Madelyne, and Madelyne is glad for the space from the sinfully alluring Duncan. Eventually, however, Duncan marries Madelyne to make his revenge permanent against Louddon. Madelyne is greatly upset to know she is only a bargaining chip, though the two fall in love.
Louddon is brought down by both of them, since Madelyne's truthfulness of Louddon's cruelty will condemn him for eternity.

Title: The 7777th moon Credit: [x] User Image

Genre: Owner x Doll, Light Fantasy, Romance

It's said that if for a long time, something is taken care of with love, care, and gentleness for it's whole time of being, upon the 7777th Full Moon of it's existance, it will come to life. A lifesized doll of a very pretty human has experienced 7776 Full Moons, always being cherished and protected through the ages, kept washed and cleaned, had parts replaced or fixed over time. Now, upon it's 7777th full moon, it comes to life while being cleaned by it's new caretaker, a rather pathetic young man or woman(Failing College Student, Village Pariah, ect. ect.), and instantly this Doll remembers all the precious care that the family has given it. This doll explains that it will live for just one year, and return to being a doll, and quickly falls in love with it's master, but does not tell them, determined to find a love for their master, and to help them and keep them happy until they help them find true, everlasting love. Of course, what this doesn't know is that a kiss, a kiss of true, absolute love with no unsureness will bring it to be a real human, so they don't persue their master romantically. Will the owner and the doll eventually fall in love within the one year time limit...?

---Notes: While this is a Plot sharing thread, and anything can be done with this, this is intended to be a true romance RP. It is not a long term which is intended to go on forever, but it is intended to go on for up to one year's time in the continuity, and show a gradual progression, not instamance.

Genre: High School, Family, Romance

A highschooler parent of their obviously-accidental child who was conceived at a party and then later born is having trouble raising their kid and going to school, even with the help their parents are giving. Refusing to drop out of school and have a hard life for them or their child, they decide to hire a babysitter for a little help. Everything seems to go normally, as they go through life, but something odd seems to happen. The too-young single parent begins to fall for the babysitter. They begin to fall, and hard. Question is, does this young man/woman really want to become a parent figure...?
---Variation: Play the characters as college students instead of Highschool students.
---Variation: Instead of using a babysitter, use someone who is close to the character already as the pairing character. Mix with other genres, like Teacher x Student!
---Variation: If the mother is the one taking care of her child, have the father be the one who picks up on the babysitting...without knowing he was the father, or knowing he was a father at all, and maybe not even the mother know at first.

Title: The Red Ideya Credit: [x] User Image

Genre: Fantasy, Faeries, Comedy, Romance, Faery Politics.

Lucas Norris. A b*****d with no regard for others, who's become jaded to this world, covered in both scars of the body and of the heart. But when he's approached by a fairy and asked to help mediate in an inter-national war of fairies, he refuses. Now, he finds himself regretting the one action he commited as a young boy which permanently turned his karma to 'good' and thusly attracted freaky fairies who love to shrink and kidnap chain-smokers.

---Variation: Don't give the male character such a dumb name, reverse the roles, or do both.
---Note: The plot's name, 'The Red Ideya' is a reference to an old Sega Saturn game, NiGHTS into Dreams, where five colors of Ideya, the energy of dreams existed. Red represents courage. This reference is because the male character did something incredibly courageous in his past which shifted his karma upwards.

A young prince ((your character)) lives in a kingdom in the corner of the earth. He is sent to kidnap a princess ((My character)) that lives in the other corner of the earth. He does so obediently but there’s something different about the prince. He has a split personality. The princess has come to love the calm, gentle carefree side of the prince, but is almost a slave to the cruel cold hearted side of the prince. She doesn’t know when they will switch places and is quite confused. How will things turn out for the young princess? Will she run away in spite of the cruel side of the prince or stay with him because she cares too much about the kind-hearted prince?

A gypsy ((My character)) on the street has caught the attention of a young man of high rank in society. ((Your character)) As the two meet more and more often, a romance begins to develope. One of the mans enemies recognizes this and kidnaps the young gypsy woman. She is then held as ransom for the man. Will he go and rescue her, or will he refuse to persue the trap?

Do you remember your first love? Everyone does I'm sure... Two older teenagers cross paths in a forest. At first they don’t recognize each other but there’s something about them that is so... familiar. At last there is something one of them does that pulls a trigger on one of their minds and he/she knows who they are! Ten years passed since they last saw their first love and finally they are reunited.

Genre: Modern, High school, Blackmail, Romance

There's a girl ((My character)) she's Class president, an over achiever, a bit of a show off, hates being ignored, and loves being the center of attention. On the other hand there's a guy ((Your character)) he's doesn't really care about classes, teachers, or school. He doesn't care if he gets in trouble and has a bit of a temper. One day she’s patrolling the halls and she sees him skipping class so she follows him, they get in an argument and she ends up telling him she likes him. So he uses it against her as blackmail, she ends up having to do favors for him, him knowing that since she is class president she has more privileges than most kids do, she does them, not wanting to ruin her reputation. As they hang out more he starts to notice some things about her, especially the fact that the Principal is constantly watching her, asking her to do favors for him and is always touching her when they talk. He always questions her about it, but she blows it off which always annoys him. So, what if he starts to develop feelings for his enemy, will he keep bossing the girl he likes around or will he tell her how he feels?

Two students in the same class don't talk to each other much. They live in two separate worlds. The boy is rich and the girl is just trying to get by. One day the rich boy ((your character)) over hears the girl ((my character)) talking about needing a job so he offers the girl money if he can use the girl as a model for his painting. The rich boy is a wonderful artist and needs a model but that's not the only thing he has in mind for the other.

Genre: Vampire, Modern, Romance

After graduation, things changed for her (my character). She broke up with her boyfriend, simply because she was bored with him. She put off college because she was too lazy, and she could just feel the calories of that Pepsi going to her thighs. She was living with her parents, and at twenty, that doesn't fly too well in everyday society.
One night, while taking a bath, a man enters her house, and she doesn't know it. (Your character) This man just so happens to be the ruler of the vampires. Suave, handsome, and most likely insane, he needs a decorator. But he has the wrong house. Once he finds this out, he shrugs it off and plays with it. The woman comes out of the bathroom wrapped in nothing but a towel, and doesn't even have time to scream before he hoists her over his shoulder and takes her home. He finally breaks to her that she is to redecorate his house in a modern way, not the old, dusty Middle Aged-influenced way he had it now. He had to have it looking sleek for a ball and meeting of all the vampires he's made as his overseers, to keep other vampires in line. And she'll be the guest of honor at the ball. She doesn't have much choice if she ever wants to get out of that towel.
