Hello, and welcome to my first second Gaia cross-stitch auction! It's a great opportunity to get a real-life memento of your Gaia avatar. Thanks for showing your interest, and hopefully we can make this auction a huge success! So bid lots. ;D

I got into cross-stitching a few years ago, and I've sort of fallen out of practice since I started university. I started out doing some basic game sprites, and just last summer I started doing some Gaia things for my friends. I've gotten better at it over time (at least, I hope so). I'm a perfectionist; if it's not good enough for me, it's not good enough for anyone else. All my stitches are consistent, and I try to make sure that the back isn't too messy.

It takes me quite a bit of time to make anything, especially something as big and complex as a Gaia avatar. (Remember: I do this pixel-by-pixel, and try to match the colours as perfectly as I can.) The end result, though, is quite awesome, if I do say so myself. Have a look at my samples, and get one of your very own avatar!

What can you do with it? That's up to you. You can frame it, sew it onto something like a pillow, whatever your heart desires. As long as it's something that doesn't require constant cleaning; these pieces are somewhat fragile (ie, if you ever put it into the washing machine, I will hunt you down and murder you myself).

So what are you getting out of this auction, anyway?

The winner receives one original, custom cross-stitch piece of their Gaia avatar's head. Why only the head? Because I said so. D:< (And because it would take me three months to do an entire avatar. I just don't have that much time on my hands anymore.)

I use 14-count Aida cross-stitch fabric and DMC brand floss. Some people start their threads with knots, but I don't; I tuck the thread back under a few stitches to give it a nice, clean look. A standard avatar head, without items, measures at about 4x4 inches.

You'll most likely get a bunch of updates and pictures along the way. I'll give you a picture of the finished work to see if you like it, and then I will mail it to you. (Meaning that, yes, I will need your RL address. Fear the scary toaster lady, rawr!)

Because I have a life to keep up with (lol, a life, who needs one?), there are some things that I just won't do.

THE ART:
Any obscenely large items (like the NM scarf, for example) are out. You'd have to bribe me with a hell of a lot to make me do something like that.

(And don't get me started on full-body avatars; I doubt even a halo would satisfy me enough to make one of those, so don't try. Or try, and fail miserably. Whatever floats your boat.)

THE SHIPPING:
Yes, I will need your address to ship this to you. I promise that I won't spread your address around or any dumb s**t like that. Just PM me when the auction's over. (Hey, I'm actually a good person on the inside... sometimes.)

Also, because of shipping costs and the like (and the fact that I'm a dirt-poor university student), I'll only be able to mail it to you if you live in the U.S. or Canada. If you live elsewhere, and really want this, then you'll have to bribe me. (:<

THE BIDDING:
