Hania and Mahiri Become Mates
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania was feeling unusually happy today. Maybe because he felt he would see some old friends... some old, good, close friends. Mahiri popped into his mind... "I wonder where she is now?" ...then Celendria did. He had been meeting up with Settia a lot as well, now that he thought about it. How was he going to choose a mate at this rate?

Remove
The fox coloured female bucked as she stretched. She had been away from her own kind for so long and she just wanted to find some friends. She had over heard things said about mates by her friends as she would never see them as "owners" as such. The girl had spoken about things like that before and in a way it had made her lonley. The male she knew, was her best friend and oh how she missed Hania. One day she would take him to meet her human friends as they were both lovely people and loved her dearly. They would love him too if only she could find him.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania trotted out into the fields, pumping his legs that hadn't been stretched for a good trot, canter, gallop, or run in a long time. He had finished eating his breakfast that his human had laid out for him early on, and after a relaxing brush down from her, she had released him to go about as he pleased. "I wonder if I really will get to meet some old friends," he mused as he trotted.

Remove
She bucked and shook her head as she let out a long neigh like sound that seemed to be crossed with some sort of snorting. She hadn't seen Hania though he wasn't even that far away from her. She nickered happily to herself and set out on a run, she ran into the field where Hania was though nearly ran straight past him without even realising he was there. She did however turn quickley, nickering towards him she trotted over, nuzzling his neck and nipping at his shoulder. "Hania!"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked as an orange sped past him before turning around to nuzzle and n** at him. "Hiri?" he asked, astonished before he nuzzled her gently in greeting. He was still a little stunned to actually see her. It had been a long time. "Hiri!! I missed you," he said, smiling happily.

Remove
Mahiri smiled as she saw her friend and nuzzled him again, "Oh I have really missed you Hania!" She nicked again before trotting around him in her own way that she did to him sometimes. "It has been so long, oh and how I have missed you, Hania!" She nuzzled him again and then nipped at him playfully. She tossed her head a little and a playful spark in her eyes.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled, his heart swelling enormously. "How have you been, Hiri?" He nipped at her neck gently. "I've missed you too, dearest one," he added in a soft whisper, half hoping she'd hear and half-hoping she wouldn't. He grinned upon seeing that familiar playful spark in her eyes. "Ah... you want to play again?" he said in a sly tone.

Remove
"I have been ok.. missed you so much though but I seen more of the lands and running ever so free!" She trotted round in circles as she spoke and then the soft words hit her and she just smiled. "Awww Hania!" She giggled a little and nipped at him, "Play? As if I would turn down an offer to do that!" She chuckled and reared up on her hind legs pawing the air before landing on all fours and running away from the stallion before turning and nickering. She loved her friend, her best friend!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled sheepishly when he realized that she'd heard him. "Well, I am feeling more than friendship from you..." he muttered, and then reared as she did, and chased after her. "It's a wonder I can keep up with you!!" he called, laughing, mane and tail billowing like clouds as he ran around her. He nipped at her shoulder gently before turning and running away. "Tag... you're it!" he called, laughing loudly as he pushed his speed and pumped his legs hard.

Remove
She nickered at him, oh he was so sweet! When he nipped her she ran after him. The wind blowing through her mane and tail as she caught up with him and nuzzled him, nipping him aswell as she rushed past she yelled the obvious words behind, "Your it!" She giggled again as his words went over her head, he felt for her more then jsut friends? Oh, that was.. well.. there were no words to describe it! She just stopped and waited for him to catch up. Her eyes glittering with happiness and excitment, this was definatly fun!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania laughed as he was nipped, along with the familiar words shouted toward him. "Oh, that's it, Hiri!" he called, and smiled. "Heh, here I come!" he leapt forward and charged, his hooves making a thundering sound as he pounded the ground to try and catch up with his best friend (more like the one he ultimately loved) to tag her. Hiri must be in a really good mood because she's faster than ever and more hyper than normal, Hania thought, chuckling.

Remove
She chuckled as she decided waiting was boring and thundered down towards him. She nickered as she neared him and though she was going head on she moved slightly to the right just before they collided. She slowed and turned around nickering at him again. She was happy, he was right there, she was seriously happy! She couldn't believe that she was with Hania again, she really had missed him!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania was glad that Mahiri had turned slightly so that they didn't clash when he noticed that she was thundering towards him. He turned and whickered at her, smiling to see her so happy. She was beautiful, innocently beautiful. Maybe that was what attracted him to her. "I can tell you can't believe I'm here right in front of you, Hiri," Hania teased, not knowing that that was exactly what Mahiri was thinking. He trotted over to her and nuzzled her strong neck and then moved away slightly. "Do you want me to say it?" he whispered huskily.
Meetings in a Teepee
Remove
A fox coloured mare made her way through the area towards a teepee she hadn't seen before but it smelt familiar, of her mate Hania. Was this where he lived? Oh she hoped so! She trotted a little closer sniffing around the area before deciding this was indeed the place that she had been looking for and it was true that his scent seemed to be everywhere. She nickered to herself as she looked around for her mate, he had to be here somewhere!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania looked up suddenly, ears alert. That scent... Mahiri? He continued to scent the air... and indeed, it was Mahiri! Seems she's found me, he thought with amusement, a smile tugging at his lips. Trotting from around his teepee home, he spotted the fox-colored mare looking around. "Hiri!!" he called cheerfully, happy to see his mate. "How are you? Even if we're apart for mere minutes I miss you!" he said, coming up and nuzzling her. "What brings your beautiful, gorgeous, playful self here other than my handsome, loving self to seduce you here?" he asked, playboy instincts in show. He couldn't help it; Mahiri was gorgeous and he couldn't resist her.

Remove
She just giggled, "I was gone to find some hunting grounds. My own Teepee is not that far from here and I caught your scent, then found your Teepee and ended up here, so I am afraid.. your seducing wasn't enough this time!" She chuckled and walked towards him nuzzling his neck and nipping at him playfully, though not as playful as she would have normally been. She could be calm to spend time with her mate sometimes, it didn't always have to be about playing, right?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"It's odd to see you semi-calm, love," Hania whispered huskily, then chuckled. "Of course, were you completely calm I'd run away from you--you wouldn't be who I loved! ...Just kidding. I love all of you, Hiri." Hania was allowing Mahiri to nuzzle him, but he was caught up and drowning in her scent. He felt that if he breathed anything else... shaking himself mentally to get rid of his perverted thoughts, he continued his gentle banter with Mahiri. "Ah, so you live not to far from here? I must visit, and meet your humans. I'm glad they treat you well, for it they didn't..." Hania let the threat hang in the air.

Remove
Mahiri chuckled and let her bury her nose into his mane and neck. She loved Hania, so much. "Oh Hania, I love you too and no worries, the humans look after me very well!" She chuckled and tossed her head a little before trotting around her mate, oh how adorable he really was!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled impishly and nipped at Mahiri's neck gently. "You better keep ahold of me then, you know how I am with mares! However..." He had a sly glint in his eyes, "You'll always be the most beautiful mare to me, inside and out. I love you forever, Mahiri," he intoned seriously. "Would you like to take a walk out around here? It's never good for horses like us to stand still."

Remove
She chuckled and then smiled as he went serious, oh she loved him. "A walk would be lovely, we could trot and canter and show you that I will always be faster then you!" She chuckled and nipped him playfully. She loved beign cheeky and playful and annoying in most cases.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania snorted playfully. "Faster than me? Hardly, Hiri! I know you're faster than me. Especially in the forest. But open range and clear areas? I'm far faster than you!" Hania nipped back at her, laughing and then trotting away toward the surrounding area, ready to start off their walk. He loved her so much, if anything happened to her he'd hunt down whatever it was that hurt her and destroy it, even at the cost of his own life. When he had kids (yes, he intended to have kids...), if any of his children were hurt... Shaking his head mentally, thinking he was going a bit far into the game, he turned to watch his lovely, fox-colored mate.

Remove
Mahiri chuckled and then followed him, she was going a little slower then he but she didn't care nor mind, she was feeling a little more, well, soft today. She wasn't so hyper as she would have been normally but then its hard to be hyper soemtimes when you look into the eyes of the most adorable guy you have ever seen and think it over about how he is yours and that no one else can have the adorable guy that you have. If youthink like that how can you be hyper? You are way too busy melting inside because you are just so happy and that was exactly how Mahiri was right now!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania was in deep thought, but still made sure he didn't get too ahead of Mahiri. It was so unbelievable... to think, that his first friend, who became his best friend, now was his mate. He'd had so many hard choices to choose from... There had been Celendria, whom, he wanted to add in a mental note, was like a Goddess to him. She still was, but Mahiri was the Goddess of his world. And then there was Settia. Settia, whom was gentle and caring, beauitfully kind. He was glad she'd found a love for Dyami. There had been others, but not as much as Celendria or Settia... and Mahiri. Oh, Mahiri. He would never stop loving her, and he would never let anything or anyone harm her. He was surprised to find that, although he was still a bit of a flirt with other mares, he only did so because that was who he was. Besides, he thought, with a chuckle, If I strayed from Mahiri, she'd kill me and the other mare for sure! Hania's eyes softened as she looked at the pretty fox-colored mare. I will never stray from her. She is in need of company, as much as I am. He smiled. Forever sounds nice to me...

Remove
Mahiri looked around the forest and nickered at Hania, she chuckled a little as she kickied her hind legs, nippped Hania and just started running into the forest. She stopped a little way in the rear up and let out a loud neigh/snort like sound before the thundering of her hooves could be heard again, galloping into the distance, oh how lovely it was to be running once more, if only Hania would hurry and catch her up, so slow!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania watched as his mate gave a cry and began to thunder away through the forest. So... she wants to race? Grinning to himself, Hania answered her cry with one of his own powerful cries and off he ran, pumping his legs hard as he followed the sound of his mates pounding hooves, pleasure surging through him.

Remove
She nickered happily as she thundered through the trees, jumping broken logs and dodging the trees, this was her home, she loved it! She let out a loud neigh as she moved swiftly not caring too much about who was around, other then Hania! She was happy, she had her mate attempting to catch up with her and she was where she wanted to be, happy and free!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania huffed haughtily at his mate, though he still chuckled at her carefree nature. He was not trotting, jumping over the same broken tree trunks as she, and he shook his head as he watched his mate make her away around easily. Hania rolled his eyes as he tried his best to keep up. He might live in the forest, but he wasn't exactly instinctual in that area. Oh well. That was what Mahiri was for.

Remove
She chuckled at him as she continued to happily make her way through the trees, she stopped for a bit and looked back to see her mate still attempting to keep up, aww the poor boy didn't like the trees! She chuckled, "Come on Hania, slow now are we?" She nickered and trotted off again, no need to run, Hania was too slow!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania snorted, managing to look indignant. "Right. Well, I am only taking my time, love, because of all these decorations Miakoda put on me." To emphasize his point, he reared to show off the bandages around his legs and then shook his head to show off the feathers and necklace, wishing his tail for the last few feathers. "See?" he proclaimed triumphantly. "Very difficult to run in these things, love."

Remove
She laughed, "That is just an excuse!! My people told me that those things are used to help increase performance! You are just SLOW!" She chuckled and bolted off again; oh how much fun it really was to just be happy, bounding around and having fun.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania grinned. "Just teasing you, love. Besides, I'm supposed to be a gentleman and let the lady win, yes?" Smirking, the darkgolden colored stallion moved toward his mate swiftly and gracefully, the feathers he now wore fluttering along with his mane and tail as he trotted over to his beautiful mate. "Your bonded should get you a few things like mine," he whispered in her ear huskily. "I would fall in love all over again, and much more deeply." Pulling away, and quirking an ear, he laughed at the cliche he just told his mate, but he had meant every word, even so. "Shall we? Or should we explore and see who else is out there and around us?" he questioned before nuzzling his mate's luxurious red coat, which was softer than any other coat he knew or felt.

Remove
Mahiri snorted, "Oh so I am not good enough for you now?" She raised her head holding the smile inside of her as her stern face was showing. She turned and trotted off in a random direction away from Hania, she wanted to laugh and giggle but oh the fun that mischief could cause!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania was aghast. He hadn't meant it that way! "Hiri, Mahiri, I'm sorry! I promise I didn't mean it that way! Please!" She was leaving him! And it was all his fault! Hania frantically searched for a reason to keep her by his side, but there was nothing he could come up with, save that he loved her and that was all he could give. His love. "Please..." his voice was pleading now. She looked so cold, so stern... did she just become his mate to please him? Please don't be that reason!

Remove
Mahiri turned around and stuck her tounge out laughing, "Oh Hania darling... your silly!" She chuckled and trotted over to him noping lovingly at his shoulder, she flicked her tail and trotted around him a couple of times, "Silly Hania, me lave you ever?" She chuckled again and nuzzled his neck. "Hania, I was playing with you!" She had a sweet loving look on her face along with her cheeky grin, well he wanted to mate with a playful mare, what else did he expect?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smirked. "Gotcha," he whispered into her ear. At the same time, he pushed her into the water of a clearing they had both walked toward. Grinning, Hania smiled. "At least I know you still love me. Besides," he cocked an ear, "you should know I'm a total flirt. If I lose a mare, especially my mate, I'll take drastic measures to return her to me! Hm. Maybe I should start a herd!"

At his proclamation, Hania laughed. "Just kidding. I don't know about handling a herd. All the Soquili I know are very independant, including you, my mate." Laughing some more, Hania jumped into the water after her, creating a small wave to wash over his fox colored mare-mate. "Got you again!" he teased.

Remove
She soon made her way the lake and up out the other side where she galloped around the lake a few times neighing, nickering, snorting, she looked like a crazed girl, but then, she was mates with Hania! She chuckled and didn't say a word, just ran, round and round and round and round!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania watched as she ran round and round the lake, sighing happily as he lazily swam around, trying to follow her but at slower, relaxed place. This is what it means to have a mate... he sighed again in bliss, eyes lighting up with the love he had only for his chosen love. An idea popped into his head. I'd love kids... Smirking to himself, he eyed his playful mate. I wonder if she'd be playful enough to have kids with me? Shaking his head, he smiled. I suppose we can wait... but I just CAN'T wait to have kids of my own.

Remove
Mahiri nickered happily as she continued to run before stopping to drink something, then she started again till some nice looking grass caught her eye, she trotted over, nickering happily to herself. Her ears flat on her head listening to what Hania was doing. She was happy, in total bliss.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania was splashing around in the lake, his ears picking up different sounds, but mostly listening for Mahiri. He was semi-worried because they were a bit far from their bonded, and there might be predators lurking. Swimming to shore, he stood in a sunny area and shook himself hard, laughing a bit as the water droplets flew away from his body. He scent the air carefully before hurrying to try and catch up with Mahiri in her run around the lake.

Remove
She chuckled as he came to join her but she continued to run. She wanted to prove she was faster so she ran and ran and ran, rather happily. She occasionaly turned tro see if he was following though the thundering of hooves made it evident that he was. She bucked a couple of times but ran and oh she felt amazing, running.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled to himself as he watched his mate run. However, he wasn't going to let her run too far ahead of him, so, pumping his powerful legs hard, he began to close the distance between him and her. "Hiri! Watch out, because here I come!!" He was feeling a little neglected (if a little horny) and he wanted to touch his mate. He knew that, with Mahiri's playful personality, he'd have to get around that and work with it, but it didn't matter too much to him, so long as his mate was happy. Now, to catch up to his mate.

Remove
Mahiri turned to see him coming and chuckled, turning around to face him she charged right at him, only just missing him as she veered into the water as she was about to crash into her mate. This was definatly an amusing time. Mahiri was having fun though she wasn't sure if Hania was, but hey running on the waters edge, what could be better?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania chuckled as Mahiri swerved by him full on. "Now, now, love. You don't need to get too frisky with me; we've plenty of time for that later," he half-teased, and slowed down until he was able to stop and turn. He wanted to watch the beautiful fox mare run; she glowed gorgeously in the light, a smile on her face, with her eyes sparkling with joy. He often held his breath when he watched her; he loved her scent--of rain and forests and something uniquely his Mahiri. Smiling, he watched as she ran on into the water, laughing.

Remove
She let the water splash around her, small droplets falling on her. The mare was happy, troting, galloping, catering no matter what, she was playful and nothing would change that! She nickered happily and turned to face her mate. "Come on Hania, the water is beautiful!"

The water was indeed beautiful, it shimered and sparkled under the light. It looked amazing, the ripple sent out when ever Mahiri moved and the way that the water was absolutly freezing though for Mahiri, that was perfect.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Still chuckling, Hania splashed into the water after his mate, urged on by her playfulness. "I believe there's something in the water that's more beautiful." Laughing long and loud, Hania sent a small water wave toward his mate. He was in the mood for a water fight.

"Come, now, Hiri--can you get me?" Hania teased, already making way to try and avoid any water waves coming his way from his mate. He swam hard, chortling in his joy and happniess. He could hardly wait to see how much more his mate could show him.

Remove
Mahiri chuckled, "Yes fish are really quite beautiful!" She chuckled knowing that fish wasn't what he meant but hey it made things more interesting. She then shifted her weight onto her back legs as she stood on two legs before landing in the water sending a huge wave of water straight towards Hania. At this point she was also soaked from the wave, but did she care? Not at all!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked and rolled his eyes, smirking all the while as he nodded. "Indeed, the fish are quite beautiful. If only I could see them! With you splashing about like that, it's hard to believe that there's anything else beautiful in this lake..." He eyed Mahiri with mirth in his eyes. "Of course, I think I spotted a red fish; quite delectably colored, mind!" He was a flirt; he couldn't help it. And since Mahiri was his mate... what could he say? He was now as soaked as his mate probably was, but he hardly cared. He was happy and carefree, joyful, and all he really cared about was his mate.
Better Than Fondue!
Loki, Hania, Alona, Mahiri & Settia

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He snorted as he trotted into the area, and looked about, wondering if he'd get to meet a few new friends, fewer stallions than mares, hopefully. "Now, where was I off to again?" He muttered to himself, and scented the air to find his direction.
hanging gallow
Alona trotted her way to her favorite spot in the valley. She was enjoying the morning air as always and eyeing the sun rise that was reaching the trees. She wondered if any other soquii would be up and around so early in the morning. She took in a deep breath of cold air and snorted and watch the steam of her breath float on.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania scented the air again, and this time he swore he smelled the scent of a mare. Trotting toward the scent, he continued to admire the morning. He loved the morning; it was always so beautiful, and the grass was always fresh and wet and tasty, so it was best to eat in the morning as well. As he moved, he came upon a beautiful mare, watching the sunrise. "Hello," he greeted quietly, so that he didn't startle her. He'd seen a lot of mares, and this one was just as beautiful as the others he'd seen... actually, he'd seen so many beautiful mares lately, he couldn't decide on a favorite.
Cihiru
Loki had departed from his forest dwelling quite early in the day - well before sunrise, which was more than a little unusual for him. (Kali would often groan her disdain when he woke in the younger hours of noon) But he'd been restless, and couldn't keep himself from wandering. It was one of those times where he was itching to do something, and his limbs ached at inactivity. So, he'd gone with the obvious, and set himself into motion... And found himself here, at the valley of what he'd come to recognize as Alona's favored field. He rooted himself once he realized he was here, and looked absently to the glowing morning sky. It was probably his subconciousness wishing Alona would happen by, and he didn't care enough to object.
hanging gallow
Alona's ears perked up at the another voice of a soquili. She hadn't expected to meet anyone out this early except Loki, but that would be alright, she didn't mind the extra company. Her eyes scanned the area, she had halfed hoped she would met Loki again, but not seeing him she greeted the other soquili.

"Hello, I don't think I have met you before, my name is Alona" she smiling as cheerful as her mood would let her.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania noticed that the mare was only half-heartedly greeting him. He backed away, saying gently, "I'm sorry if I interrupted you. I'm new, Alona, and it seems I have yet to introduce myself. My name is Hania," with his name, he bowed. He was a gentlehorse (gentleman?), after all. "I'm sorry I have disrupted your quiet pleasure," he repeated softly, watching her. That is, until he scented another stallion. Whipping up his head, he looked over to a hilltop and spotted a white stallion, watching the sunrise.
hanging gallow
"Oh! no your not disrupted my quiet pleasure, not at all, I was just hoping a friend of mine would be here, please forgive me if i seemed rude, I didn't mean to, i..." she shook her head to keep from furstrating herself. She didn't mean to seem rude and offense to the new comer. She started to blush out of aggrevation with herself. "It is a pleasure to met you Hania" Alona said with the a cheeful smile hoping to cast all doubt of her frist greeting away.
Cihiru
'Hello'? The stallion's ears twitched at the sound; he'd thought he was alone, and idly wondered why he hadn't smelled anyone until then. And then the introduction was echoed, by another - his ears swiveled more fully at this, and his head turned to follow it. One was Alona, he was certain. Loki spotted the pair easily once he'd heard them, and trotted toward them without giving it much thought. "Good morning!" Once he'd neared, he neighed a greeting, and gave them both what he thought was a pleasent grin. "Sorry to interrupt - I'm Loki."
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"If you're sure," Hania replied, slowly and gently, still watching the white stallion. "Of course, I suppose HE isn't the friend you're waiting for?" Hania said, turning to look at Alona then looking back to the other stallion. "Are you friends?" Hania asked. He was emotionless at the moment. Other stallions, for some reason, always made him tense. He couldn't figure out why, but he always felt competitive around them for some reason... which was why he lived alone, as a matter of fact.
hanging gallow
"Loki! Your here" Alona said cheerfully she was happy to see him. "Yes he was the friend I was hopeing would be here Hania, I must have missed seeing him" Alona said blushing a little. She had a tendancy to miss seeing other soquili's alot, she wasn't use to seeing them at all.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania nodded and said, "I see." Smiling a little at Alona's blush, and shaking his head in silent laughter, he greeted the newcomer (well, to him the stallion was a newcomer). "Greetings. I see that you and Alona are friends. I'm Hania," he tried to keep it friendly, but with his nature, all stallions were rivals, be they friends or foes. He was a naturally free-feeling horse, after all.
Cihiru
The stallion's standoffish lack of greeting caught him offguard, and he blinked, slightly taken aback. "That I am!" he offered to Alona instead, smiling broadly... Though he could feel hints of a blush beneath his fur. One of these days, he'd learn to accept compliments gracefully, he vowed. Some day. But not this one; his awkward smile remained. "Hello to you too, then, Hania" He glanced briefly to the other, one brow arched in question and one ear tilted backward in the faintest signs of apprehension.
hanging gallow
Aloan returned Loki's smile, she was happy he was here. However, Alona could sense a rising apprehension between the two stallions. She didn't want an arguement to break out so she tried to remain as cheeful as possible. "So...How is everyone doing this morning" Alona said with a hint of a cheesy grin on her face trying to keep the uneasiness away.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked as he watched signs of apprehension come off Loki. "You will not tell me your name?" Hania asked, chuckling. He was slightly amused. Yes, he'd heard the stallion's name from Alona, but he liked the actual horse to introduce him or herself, because their name was their name, unless they allowed their friends to introduce them instead. "I'm sorry I came off as tense," he added, hoping to ease the rising tension that he felt. He couldn't help it sometimes, and he knew it. Since there was a mare, he decided to be civil; after all, he was here to make friends, was he not? "This morning is a fine one for me," he said, answering Alona's question.
Cihiru
The ear was, in fact, the only way the apprehension was expressed. As far as he was aware, anyway. "I really just hadn't gotten that far yet," he lied. His name was one of the first things he offered; it wasn't his fault the other didn't care to pay attention. "I'm sorry, I'm Loki." He sighed inwardly, but made a concious effort not to let that surface too. "It's too early, as far as I'm concerned. But otherwise, just grand." The stallion gave an exaggerated yawn, and another smile.
hanging gallow
Alona laughed as Loki yawned and gave him a slight nudge. "Its not early at all sleepy" she said giving him a large smile. She was still excited to see that he was here. She enjoyed meeting him in the morning and having a conversation with him. "And I'm glad the morning is going good for you Hania, do you normally enjoy being out the early" Alona said hoping to get a conversation started without any more hostility entering.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked again, then remembered that Loki did introduce his name. "I apologize. It probably is far too early in the morning, but I now remember that you did tell me your name." Hania managed to make himself look calm, although competitiveness and apprehension was slowly boiling up inside him. "I enjoy the morning quite a bit. Alona, what do you like about the morning?" he tried to start another conversation to ease up the tension he hadn't meant to start. "I came out early to see if I could make friends," he said quietly, moving away to the right, slightly, so that he was standing fairly close to the place he'd come from. He lived alone, so making friends was new to him a bit.
Cihiru
"It's plenty early!" Loki stuck his tounge out at her and returned the nudge with a light tap of his own. After righting his expression, he turned back to Hania, and offered yet another smile. "It's fine, never hurts to repeat an introduction anyway." He had been content to eat the blame and let noone be the wiser, but the apology smoothed his bristles a bit. At least he was willing to admit that much. He didn't leap headfirst into their conversation though, and settled on standing back and listening quietly instead. It was a bit unlike him; he wasn't particularly sure why. Just wasn't much to say, he supposed.
hanging gallow
Alona returned Loki's playfulness with a smile. "Oh! I just enjoy the mornings always, maybe it because I like the sun just rising" Alona said cheefully. She was happy that the tension had eased off a bit. She looked up as the sun had rose over the tree tops. She sighed slightly but smiled in doing so.

Hania chuckled at the how the two friends playfully teased each other. I suppose that's what friends are like, he mused to himself. "No, it doesn't," Hania agreed. "So, I shall repeat mine while we're on the topic. It's a pleasure to meet you, Loki. I am Hania," he finished with a soft laugh. He didn't know why, but it amused him when he said that. He noticed that Alona was getting a little worried about the tension, but he felt that it was easing down to a more normal, friendly feeling. He smiled suddenly. The competitiveness and apprehension in him was beginning to disappear. Good, he thought. His stomach rumbled, and he sighed. "I must take my leave. I have yet to eat breakfast, and I'm sure you two would like to catch up with each other. We will see each other again soon, I hope," he added, and off he went, back to his home.
Cihiru
"Glad to meet you too, Hania." Loki's smile gave way to more of an amused grin. Yes, this was a better start; it definately beat the unfriendly impression he'd recieved at first. "I think it's because..." the stallion paused only briefly, and peered at Alona from the corner of his eye. "You're a bunny. And bunnies like to nibble on the dewy grasses!" He wrinkled his nose a little and gave her another playful nudge.
hanging gallow
"Bye Hania" she said cheerfully. Alona noticed Loki eyeing her and couldn't help but laugh as what he had said. "Ha! so I like to nibble on dewy grass, and what about you mr. sleepy fox" she said playfully to him. She nudged him back and pranced around him playfully.
Cihiru
Hania's sudden departure caused him to tilt his head questioningly, but he didn't give it much more attention than that. It was becoming increasingly common for others to leave unexpectedly, and he was growing accustomed. "And what about me, hmm?" Loki turned back to Alona, still arching a brow. "So what if I like to hibernate... every day!?" He snorted dismissively and watched the mare prance about like a foal. "Doesn't sound like a problem to me. Or maybe you had something else in mind?" The stallion glanced to her again, his head moving slightly as he followed her path.
hanging gallow
Alona stopped prancing to nudge Loki in the shoulder. "Aw, hibernations aren't any fun, then you miss out on the morning, which happens to be the best part of the day, because i'm here nibbling on dewy grass like a bunny" she said cheefully giving Loki a large smile. She was feeling silly today, like a young foal. She didn't know what was making her feel so cheeful, giddy, or even excited but she was enjoying herself at least and hoped that Loki was having fun too.
Cihiru
"But hibernating is lots of fun!" Loki gave her a pouting expression. "The only thing better than sleep is lots of sleep, and um..." He paused again, tilting his head slightly as he did so. "Nights are fairly nice too, I must admit." Well, his secret was out. The stallion slept far into the mornings because he didn't sleep much at nights; he was far too fond of running beneath the twinkling stars and admiring the glowing medallion of a moon.
hanging gallow
"Oh! so you like to be outside at night" Alona said smiling softly. "I agree the mornings are nice, but the night sky is far better" she said thinking of the moon at night and how often Lilly would be outside. "So that explains why you are so sleepy in the morning" she playful nudging him.
Cihiru
"Maaaybe." Loki smiled genuinely, but playful mischief still twinkled in his eyes. "I wouldn't say it's better. They're just different." He leaned over to whisper in her ear. "I do think nights are much better though - just don't tell anyone!" The stallion had pulled away as his statement came to a close, and he finished somewhat loudly. "Does it? Maybe I'm just sleepy 'cause mornings have that affect on me," he commented, wrinkling his nose.
hanging gallow
Alona laughed as she nipped at his mane like Resi did when she was younger. "No one will know Loki," gving him a wink" besides I think mornings make me a little sleepy too, but no one notices because I usually have an apple to wake me up, either that or a splash of cold water" she said smiling at him. "My bonded human spends most of her time awake during the night, and sleeps most of the day, so I spend most of my time awake then sleeping, however it can be a bit tiring" she said giving a small yawn, she hadn't slept much that night. In a manner of speaking she hadn't slept for the last few weeks, Lilly had been up up for most of the nights and Alona hated to sleep all during the day too so she just slept for a few wee hours a night to keep up with it all.
Cihiru
Loki blinked at the nips, and shook out his somewhat unruly mane. "Are you sure you don't want to get more sleep?" His joking overtone had faded, for the moment at least. "Forcing yourself awake doesn't sound like a great way to start a morning to me. Besides, sleep is goood. Nothing can compete with waking up in the mornings feeling well-rested." He nodded certainly and gave a little smile. That had worried him a bit; it wasn't healthy to run day after day on small hints of sleep here and there. It just got too taxing. "Bunnies need their beauty rest!"
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania bellowed/neighed triumph happily as he ran and ran, feeling free as the wind pushed and jostled his mane and his body. Now this is more like it!! He strained his body to move faster; he didn't even care anymore that he'd been racing. As he ran, he noticed that he was running in the direction where Loki and Alona were.
Remove
Being as playful as she was she didn't notice that they were racing towards anyone. She loved to run, the air whizzing past her, oh the feeling was great, she bucked a couple of times while galloping as fast as she could, always trying to push herself more then she could actually do.

She suddenly slowed down as she saw two others, instead of coming to a stop, to slow down she turned and circled around a bit before slowing into a trot to follow Hania upto them. She had no idea who they were, he might do.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania, too slowed to a stop and trotted forward to meet the Loki and Alona. "Hello!" he called out to get their attention. The two horses were very close, muttering or speaking softly to each other, he saw. "Mahiri, those two over there are a few other friends of mine. The stallion's name is Loki, and the mare's name is Alona."
hanging gallow
"Well this bunny is hopeing to remain awake for most of the day, I'll catch a nap sometimes later on, don't worry about me Loki, Ill be fine" she nudging him giving him a ressuring smile. She did feel tired...actually more like exhausted, but she didn't want him to worry about her, so she kept her self wake and tired to be as cheeful as possible.
Remove
Mahiri looked at the other two before letting out a load snort like sound, "Well come on, lets go and play with them!" She nipped his neck before trotting towards the two of them. Loki and Alona? Interesting names! She nickered happily to herself, turning to see if Hania was actually following!
Cihiru
"Suit yourself. I just hope I don't have to start calling you Sleepy." Loki sighed audibly, but left it at that. Stubborn though he was, this wasn't a point worth persuing. It was unlikely he'd be able to change her mind. "Hello again!" he called suddenly, ears perking forward at the newcomers. He had recognized one initially, but the other... The other was a stranger, and he smiled softly at this. Making new acquaintences was always a bit of a surprise; something he couldn't help but look forward to.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked as the playful mare nipped him. "I hope that was more flirting than playing," he teased as he trotted after her. He was only teasing, but he wondered what Mahiri's reaction would be. "Are you ever serious?" he said, laughing as she flew ahead of him. He galloped after to her so that he kept pace.
Remove
After hearing the words about flirting she just turned to him with a huge smile on her face, "You never know with me!" She then bucked again and ran towards the others, slowing down as she reached them she bowed her head and smiled, "I am Mahiri!" She looked to the stallion and then the mare. "It is nice to meet you both!"
hanging gallow
Alona sighed slightly she had hoped she didn't annoy Loki. Her ears perked at the sound of a voice. It was Hania back again, and this time with a new soquili. A new acquaintence was always good to see. She smiled and responded "hello mahiri, I'm Alona" greeting the mare happily feeling as if she wasn't the only one "Hello again Hania. "
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania rolled his eyes mockingly and chuckled, walking up to Alona and Loki. "Hey, Alona," he greeted. "That playful mare over there... if she would slow down with the energy a little she could introduce herself." He tossed his head so that his mane flipped to the other side of his neck and he chased after Mahiri, trying to get her to stop. "Never know with you? Now that's the first true thing I've heard in a while!!" Hania laughed. He'd never felt this playful before.
Cihiru
He doubted it was possible for Alona to annoy him. Though he did not possess unwavering patience, he was a fairly forgiving soul, and the mare was far from trying (although he could think of those that were). "And I'm Loki." The stallion smiled again, his expression sobering a little at the sight before him. He did consider himself a lighthearted creature, but the two of them running around like yearlings uncovered a sort of peacefulness inside of him. Contentment; his smile broadened at the realization.

She nickered at Hania and chuckled, "It is nice to meet you both, Loki and Alona." She had a smile on her face and it was somewhat obvious by the way she spoke and acted that she was a hyper creature. She had so much energy in her and felt somewhat awkward just standing with the other three, she wanted to run and move.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Loki!" Hania greeted. "Ha!" He felt the urge to n** at Mahiri, and so he did. "Tag! Hey, Mahiri's it--everyone, RUN!!" Hania shouted and took off around the field. "You can't catch me, Mahiri!!" He knew that the mare wanted to run and play; her voice even had the feeling that she didn't want to just be standing still, and so he decided (on impulse!?) to n** and play tag, just like when he was a young foal playing will all his other... friends... Hania slowed slightly, memory taking over him before he shook himself to continued trying to get away from Mahiri.
hanging gallow
Alona gave Loki one more smile as she darted from Mahiri. She took of quickly feeling the thrill of excitement shiver over her. However slowed down a bit to see if she was being followed.
Remove
Mahiri nickered happily as she nipped at Loki before darting off aswell. This was great, a game, fun!!! "Loki is on!!"
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania neighed and laughed. "Oh no! Loki's it!! Run hard!!" Hania cried out. He pulled up, pawing at the air and then ran hard, coming up beside Mahiri. "Smart move, Hiri..." Hania quickly added, "I mean, Mahiri. Forgive me." He hadn't meant to add the nickname, it just came to him as they played.
Remove
Mahiri had laughed a little when he gave her a nicename, "dont matter!" She laughed as she turned away to him, she would be runing, of course but she also wanted to talk to the other mare. Alona was pretty and could make a good friend? Yeah course she would!
Cihiru
Loki knew that sound - it was the same sort of tone Sora had; the voice of one who wasn't content to sit still. And he had never been fond of Sora. "Huh?" The stallion blinked deliberately as he took in what exactly just happened, and the conversation he absently wrote to memory, despite unintentionally overlooking it. Tag? Okay, that was a game he knew. He tried to tell himself it would be fun, despite the somewhat ungraceful method he'd been thrown into it. No harm done, right? "You'd better run hard!" he trumpeted, just barely catching the comment as Hania darted away. Loki took off after him, his limbs pumping comfortably beneath him.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania blinked as Loki started chasing after him. "Oh no!" he cried out, and began to run hard. Stallions were powerful, and since he was one, he knew. And so, the chase began. "Catch me if you can!" Hania called. He had only started the game because of Mahiri, but he also wanted to let Loki run to draw out the tension in his body. Hania could tell the stallion was dignified, so the entire thing was probably irritating somewhat to Loki.
hanging gallow
Alona slowed to a slow pace and watched the two stallions run across the field. Loki seemed slightly annoyed with the game, but he seemed to enjoy himself. She laughed slightly watching them compete in speed. She spotted Mahiri and smiled, she had rarely got the chance to chat with other mares. She would like to meet Mahiri and chat with her, not to mention she had the same markings as a fox, one of her favorite creatures.
Remove
Mahiri watched Loki go off and as she reached Alona she had a slightly worried but still playful look on her face, "You think I annoyed him somewhat?" She couldn't help but give out a chuckle. He would probably at some point head towards the two mares but it was amusing watching the two stallions running around for now.
Cihiru
"Keep me from catching you, if you can." Loki couldn't hide his devious grin; this was his element. He thrived on competition, especially running. He'd spent hours upon hours running as a colt, it was his release, and something he loved even now. He had little trouble forgetting his frustration once he'd taken his first few strides, and ran with all his heart once he started. 'The chase,' as it were, was exhilarating, and his nostrils flared at the activity, while his muscles flexed with his stride. He'd all but forgotten the mares - one ear flicked toward them as he caught mere whispers of their conversation, but he was otherwise focused on Hania.
hanging gallow
"Oh! I wouldn't worry too much about him, he was probably annoyed at frist but he seems to be enjoying himself now Mahiri" Alona said giving the mare a cheerful smile. "Besides he is giving us a small rest chasing after Hania" she said laughing "I wonder who will win this one"
Remove
Mahiri chuckled, "True, gives us time to store our energy when he remembers we exist!" She nickered happily and turned back to Alona, "Have you known Loki and Hania long?" She was curious so for a little bit she would keepy her hyper playful self at bay to get some information. She needed to some things anyway!
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania, too, ran and ran when he was younger, but he could tell that he was tiring, since he had raced against Mahiri earlier, and Loki was fresh. C'mon, Hania, this is no time to be acting like a colt, he thought to himself. He began to push and pump his legs, loving the feeling of being able to run as fast as he could make himself run. "Keep you from catching me, indeed," he called with a huff. He'd forgotten about the mares for the moment; it was exhilirating to compete speed for speed with another stallion.
Cihiru
"What, flustered already?" He laughed lightheartedly, mischief returning to his eyes with a sparkle. Loki smelled the opposition; it was a unique sort of thing he found difficult to describe - something that fueled his adrenaline and made him want to run faster still. The stallion willed his stride to pick up pace, to close the distance between them, and started this change in rythem with a lofty sort of bounding buck. He was just getting started. "Don't think you're in the clear yet!" he called to the mares in warning.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Flustered? Unlike you, I've been running since early this morning!! Hiri tired me out," called the the tiring stallion. He began to make an arch, where he skirted just the edges of the field and began to run toward the mares. "If you guys are standing there thinking you get to rest, think again!!" he neighed, and with a last burst of his energy, reared up, jumped forward. He was breaking into a sweat now, panting hard.
hanging gallow
Alona eyes widen as she noticed Hania heading towards them. "Uh oh we have been spotted "Alona said to Mahiri as she took of in another direction. She could feel the adrenaline rush through her body as she gained speed. As long as I stay in front of Hania I should be fine, unless he is tagged next Alona thought.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania grinned as he watched both mares get ready to flee he was beginning to slow down, however, and he knew that Loki would soon catch up with him and tag him. This... isn't good, he chuckled to himself. "Ready, girls? Here I come!!" he called, but he noticed that his legs were getting ready to give out; he was so tired.
SummerRaven
The mare chuckled again as she spotted Hania, happy she was going to run again. "Yes, it appears that we have!" She said, and took off running as fast as she could. Mahiri wanted to run faster, but she stayed running next to Alona, keeping an eye on both of the stallions. "You can't catch me!" She yelled to the two of them.
Cihiru
"What? That's hardly my fault." Loki grinned broadly, despite his deep gasps for breath. "Tag was your idea, remember!" He noted Hania's tiring stride though, and bridled his pace, although his thirst for competition would not allow him to slack to the extent of losing. He just didn't want the other to... Well, lose too badly (for his ego told him Hania would lose). "You haven't been tagged just yet," the stallion called with an arched brow as he neared. For a moment, he considered giving up on the stallion and instead going for the mares... but it was a brief moment, and he tapped Hania as he came astride behind him. "But now you have."
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania huffed as he slowly came to a stop. He needed a quick break with water thrown in for the extra help. He was quite thirsty. "Might as well let Loki catch me," he muttered to himself. "I am tired; I have been running since early morning." He had to grin to himself. He looked around quickly to see if he could spot some water, a stream or a river, even a small pool would do. Seeing one, he immediately, somehow, raised enough energy to turn and run in the direction of water.
hanging gallow
"Hey you don't antgonize them to come catch us" Alona said laughing while running. She slowed her pace up a bit when Hania was tagged. Seeing the stallion head in the direction of water she chuckled to herself more and slow down a bit. There was no reason to tire out so quickly when they weren't being chased.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Good, at least now it's my turn. Alona has yet to be tagged, so I'll go after her." Hania said, grinning. He'd knew he'd lose. "Well, at least you play it right, eh, Loki?" He was beginning to enjoy the stallion's company. "Well, start running, because after this drink, I'll be ready to run hard... and I'll be chasing hard." Hania stooped to take a drink from the small pool he'd discovered, taking a long drink of the refreshingly cold water. "Better," he said, once he finished. Looking up, he grinned. "Ready or not, here I come!!" He reared up, pawing at the air, and began the time honored chase.
SummerRaven
"Sorry." Mahiri said, turning to look back at the two stallions. "Yay! Now Hania's it!" She yelled, and was going to run faster until she saw him head towards the water instead of chasing them. "Aw, why doesn't he want to play anymore Alona?" She asked the mare, and stopped running to watch him leave.
Cihiru
"At least now it's your turn? Don't say it that way, it sucks away the blood of victory!" Loki's expression was an exaggerated, pouting frown as he checked his pace further still, until his casual trot slowed to a full stop. He was relieved to see Hania take a much-needed (and deserved) drink - particularly since it gave him a moment of rest before continuing. He enjoyed every second of it, taking the opportunity to suck in great gulps of air and shake out his mane and tail. "Always ready!" Loki coiled his haunches beneath him and took off like a racehorse from a gate, though he really only made a large loop around the area at a comfortable canter; he felt he was in the clear, for the moment.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania grinned and started to chase after the mares. Loki was free for now... but just for now. "Alona, Hiri! Here I come!!" he called out. He pounded the ground hard with his hooves as he shot off like an arrow toward the mares who had stopped when they saw him go to take a drink. "You shouldn't have stopped!" he called out gleefully. He was closing in on them.

Mahiri snickered as she bolted away from Alona and towards Loki. She was in some sense running straight at Hania but she then turned off at a random angle away from him. She had a huge smile on her face and her endless energy was helping her bound around happily.
hanging gallow
"Mahiri I don't think he quite done yet" Alona said dashing off from Hania. She decided she wouldn't quite all her speed yet, she would toy with him first, she knew if she waited until he tired out she could add in her last burst of speed to get away. She was built to race and was enjoying herself every moment as she galloped across the field. The wind whipped her curly mane and tail around as her hooves pounded the ground. She wouldn't let Hania catch her too easily. She eyed Loki who seemed quite happy not being the target and thought maybe she should lead Hania in a loop back toward Loki.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Alona, you better be racing with all your might, otherwise I'll tag you!" Hania laughed aloud, and pumped his legs a little harder. He began to move as fast as Loki had before. He raced across the soft grassy terrain, slowly managing to close the gap between him and Alona. "I'll get you after if I miss out on Alona, Hiri!!" he called to the fox-colored mare.
Remove
Mahiri laughed a little as he called out to her. She liked the nickname he had given her, maybe she would adopt it. For now though she would keep out the way, nickering and chuckling to herself. She never took hjer brown eyes off his slender body, he moved fast so it would be best to keep her energy, though if he came after her, she would just play around with him. That would be more fun!
Cihiru
Loki had allowed his stride to slack at some point, and he moved around at a lazy trot now. Happy? Probably; who wouldn't be? He eyed the three of them suspiciously though... prepared to bolt at any moment, for he was very aware he was by far the most likely target in the group. He'd want to tag him if he were them. But he wasn't, so he merely stood back, skirting around the action and darting a cautious gaze between them.
hanging gallow
Alona watched as he started to close the gap in between them. She waited he was close enough and decided it was time to step it up a notach. She put on her full burst of speed. Her ears laid flatten by her skull as the wind whipped even more around her body. She had wished she had a shorter mane and tail, they were catching too much wind, but never matter. She kept going, gaining more speed at the moment pulling away from Hania. She eyed Loki again and headed straight in his direction.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Watching as Alona pulled into a burst of speed just as he closed in on her, Hania stopped and pawed the ground, then turned around and began the chase once more. He was going to try and cut her off by circling around, and maybe he'd catch Hiri on the way. He just as he reached the edge of the field, he began to turn at the odd angle and headed straight fo Alona, ready to tag her.
Skylar14
Settia walked through the crisp winter air as she strolled to where ever her feet took her. It wasn't too long before she came upon four other Soquili playing some sort of game. She watched them curiously for a bit before deciding to go meet them.
Remove
Mahiri made sure she was out of the way and ready to move if need be, her eyes didn't leave Hania as he turned and made his way at Alona. Soon she would have to run, run and run fast. From what she had seen Alona wasn't a slow runner and if she was on then it would mean that Mahiri would need to put on a burst of speed to get anywhere! She was fast but didn't seem to be that fast!
hanging gallow
Alona saw what Hania did, however she wasn't quite ready for it. She quickly turned on a prepedicular angle from Hania and continue going on an angle heading more toward Hiri. Alona knew she had to keep building up her speed if she was going to keep him off her tail. She continued to put more energy into her gallop. Faster she thought faster she was pushing herself, more and more, however she didn't how much more longer she could last pushing herself as she was, but she would quit now.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Alona!!" Hania called, grinning. "I'm about to catch you!!" He veered off his odd run, turned and headed straight for Mahiri. "Hm... where's all that energy now, Hiri?" He called, laughing. Alona had made an odd turn when she was running toward Loki, and now she, too, was heading for Mahiri.

Mahiri took a while to notice the newcomer as Alona was heading towards her. "Hey stop!" She giggled as she dashed from Alona upto the newcommer. "Hello I am Mahiri!" She nickered happily with her tail swishing behind her. "We are all playing would you like to join in? Then again we may rest soon!" She chuckled happily.
Skylar14
Settia watched as the Soquili chased each other round and round. She wasn't sure as to what this game was but it looked fun. She wanted to join in this strange game and so she walked over to the other Soquili to see if they would let her play.

As she walked towards them one of the Soquili rushed upto her. "Hello, my name is Settia and yes, I would like to join you in your game."
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania noticed that, yet again, another beautiful mare had just entered the area. He only noticed her, however, when he saw Mahiri go to greet her. "Ha! Alona!!" Alona wasn't too far away from him now, and he was beginning to catch up. He charged, getting his legs to move and pound the ground harder and harder as he thought, Faster! Faster even than the wind!
Remove
She chuckled, "Great come on then!" She started to trot back towards the others, "Hania, Alona this is Settia and she is joining in our game!!" She yelled towards them before galloping off in the opposite direction to them both.
Skylar14
"Wait! What game are you playing?" She asked as she trotted after Mahiri. She was so confused and didn't know what to do.
hanging gallow
Alona noticed that Hania was keeping up to her and knew she was going to need more speed. All right she thought more speed, well here goes nothing. Alona put all of her energy that she had left in her body for the last run. She eyed Mahiri who took off from the new comer. "Hey, I'm Alona can't talk, must run" she said for a moment as she passed Settia. She seemed pretty and she hoped she was pretty enough for Hania to be distracted a bit.
Remove
Mahiri laughed and turned quickly, "Run and dont get caught! If you are tagged you have to get someone else. The male is on at the moment, avoid him!!" She laughed as she bucked, she was ever so playful!
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Hm?" Hania stopped his chasing to greet the pretty mare. "A pleasure, Settia. I am Hania. Do you wish to play tag?" He nipped her gently then burst off away from her. "You have to tag someone else!!" he called, laughing as he raced away. "When someone tags you, you have to chase all the others! That's why you're 'it', Settia," Hania called as he ran away from her. "By the way, you're very beautiful, Settia!" he called out a compliment, hoping that would distract her so that he could rest for a moment.
Cihiru
"And um, I'm Loki..." he added clumsily, somewhat dumbfounded as to why he was excluded entirely. He smiled nonetheless, and nodded to the stranger he thought he heard was Settia. "Just... run! Stay away from the big oaf." The ashy stallion continued his slow lap around the field, grinning broadly as he avoided being the target of attention. "Or... watch as everyone tries to stay away from you!" Loki took off at this, pushing himself back to a gallop, albeit a relaxed one.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Too bad I'm not an oaf, Loki! She's already been tagged!!" Hania called out.

Mahiri suddenly turned, she had forgotten about Loki because all her concentration had been on the other two. She ran over to him quickly, "Sorry, I forgot about you, I was too wrapped up in not getting caught. Sorry.." She smiled a little sheepishly watching the new femme. Was a little unfair tagging her but oh well!
hanging gallow
Whew Alona thought as Seitta was tagged, she was tired. She headed toward Loki. And stopped to catch her breath. A sharp pain shot up from her knee and made her wince a little. She shook her head and ingored it. She kept her eye on Seitta just in case she needed to take off again. She hoped that Seitta would follow Mahiri instead of her for the moment.
Cihiru
"Taking advantage of the unsuspecting doesn't mean you're not an oaf!" Loki called after him, then turned briefly to Mahiri. "It's fine, really," and he smiled reassuringly. Not a big deal at all. Rather than worry about it, the stallion eyed Settia curiously, waiting for her to define a course so he could set one of his own. He suspected they'd break soon, though. Alona, at least, was tiring. - Or that's what it looked like to him, anyway.

Mahiri shook her head and smiled at Loki, "Thanks!" She looked at the sky and then looked to the others. She snorted and stamped her feet, "Sorry guys, I have to get going!" She smiled at them all before running off, still so full of energy she ran off at a stupid speed and out of the field to go home.
hanging gallow
Alona was extremely tired. She wanted water and her knee was bothering her. She tried to ingore it all and headed toward the stream. To take a deep glup of water. There she thought "thats better" she said cantering slowly around in a circle. "Bye Mahiri" she said as Mahiri left. That just leaves me and Loki out here and she knew Loki wasn't tired but she was and she knew if Seitta came her way she wouldn't get far before getting tagged.
Cihiru
Loki watched their company depart, one by one... until only Alona and himself remained. "Well then." He snorted absently and turned to the mare as she refreshed herself at a stream. "How's your leg treating you?" he questioned as he approached to join her. The stallion had noticed Alona favoring one foot while he was circling around doing nothing, and hoped she was feeling better now.
hanging gallow
Alona ears perked up when she heard Loki. She noticed that everyone else was gone and was slightly happy she didn't have to play tag any more. "Meh, my leg could be doing a little better but this is normal" she said looking at her knee "I injured when I was younger and it has never been the same since, it sort of disappoints me because I love to race" she said looking up at Loki. She was glad that she was able to have run so long today, but she knew she would pay for it tomorrow. Her knee was so troubling and she hated it, much like she was aggrevated with herself from the lack of sleep she had.
Cihiru
"Normal?" He frowned lightly at this news, but it was faint and didn't last long. "Well, take care of yourself. I don't want to see you all bandaged up next time we meet!" And he sort of sighed at himself, realizing that was the second comment along that line today - At this rate, she was going to think him nagging soon. After all, it wasn't his job to bother her about such things. "Not that it's any of my buisness," he apologized suddenly, and dropped his muzzle to the nearby stream for a distracting drink.

Alona watched him. She saw his concern and it made her feel better. "Hey don't worry, I need someone to remind me that I need to take of myself, I do a terrible job at times" she said smiling faintly hoping him to feel a little better. The truth was she was always willing to push herself as much as she could, and at times it could unhealthy for her. But she wanted to do so much for others and she had a habit of putting herself in harms way just to do so. She didn't feel that Loki was nagging at her, but she felt better, she knew that he cared at least she hoped that he did when he said that. She wasn't use to having people caring about her, but it felt good to at times.
Cihiru
"Someone, maybe - but not me," he commented from between swallows. Loki snorted again, to dislodge stray droplets from his whiskers, and hovered over the water even after he'd finished. He watched his rippling reflection for a brief while, just kind of staring himself in the eye. There was a time this disconcerted him; he was not comfortable in his own skin and was far from fond of his mirror image. That time had passed, however... He was content now, and it was a satisfying sort of feeling, though he wasn't sure what tempted him to think of it. "It's not my aim to trouble or nag you," Loki said suddenly, finally raising his head as he did so. "Leave that to those with less charm than me." And he grinned goofily, poking his tongue out in jest.
hanging gallow
She stopped for a moment staring out into space. "Loki, you don't trouble me at all, not one bit, and as for nagging, I suggest you leave that for someone else, I have a constant deaf ear to it, which is bad but it doesn't bother me, but no worry my knee gives me enough nagging when I push it too much" she said looking at it. She wished that she hadn't ruined so long ago, but it would be alright in the end or at least she hoped. She wouldn't let it destroy her love of running. She watched as he noticed his reflection in the water. She looked up to the sky avoiding hers. But turned her head to him when he spoke again. "Haha so I see, the fox has too much charm for the bunny now does he," she said playfully nudge him.
Cihiru
"Far too much for nagging," he confirmed, glancing to her from over his shoulder with a grin. Her troubled tone concerned him, but her posture warned him it was something she didn't want to discuss... So mentally, he stayed where he was, just sitting on the fence of uncertainty. Part of him did want to question and reassure her; to ask what exactly was bothering her. It was something he'd become aware of shortly after they met, but the way Alona tried so hard to be cheerful filled him with apprehension in regards to it. You couldn't just walk up to someone and tell them the job they've been working so hard to fulfill wasn't such a great job afterall. It didn't work that way. "It's not becoming!" Loki wrinkled his nose and butted her shoulder with it, then made a short leap and trotted a quick circle around her.
hanging gallow
"Hahaha well it is a good thing that the fox is far to charming for nagging because I don't know how well the bunny likes nagging" she said cheeful as he trotted a quick circle around her. She was glad he didn't ask what was wrong with her, but half of her wanted to tell him. She rarely ever spoke of it, however she trusted Loki a great deal. The other half of her didn't even want to think about it. She shook the thoughts out of her head. "No it isn't very becoming at all, I agree" she said pushing thoughts far from her mind.
Cihiru
"Of course. That's why he's too charming for it." Loki fixed her with a sideways stare, his eyes smiling almost as much as his muzzle. She would tell him when she thought the time appropriate, and until then, he tried not to allow himself to be bothered. Trust was earned, not gifted, and he couldn't force it from anyone. "The morning's gone and left us, I think." The stallion glanced to the sky then, and peered at it with a squinted gaze. The sun was high in the sky, either nearing its peak or just coming off it. - He couldn't really tell which, as he hadn't really been paying attention.
hanging gallow
Alona chuckled at his response and returned his smile. She enjoyed watching Loki smile especially when it showed in his eyes, it made her feel better, or at least more cheeful. She would wait to tell him what had happen, later, when she felt right about discussing it, but at this moment it was pleasent and she didn't want to destroy that. She looked up at the sky after Loki mentioned it wasn't morning. "I believe you are right, the morning has left" she said in agreement.
Cihiru
"And you know what that means!..." Loki turned back to her, simply beaming. Whether or not it was genuine was debatable, but he did a decent job of pretending if it wasn't. "Night is coming." He pranced in place momentarily, lifting his ivory hooves high before placing them back on the grassy earth. "You can sleep, and I can... do whatever it is I do at nightfall." He grinned deviously, and glanced off into the distance.
hanging gallow
Alona laughed. "Thats right, the night will come soon, won't it" she said looking up at the sky. She knew Lilly was probably awake now or soon and she would be planning to go out during the night to wonder the area and knowing her she would have to follow Lilly to keep an eye on her. "And soon this bunny will need her beauty rest" she responding to Loki's devious grin.
Cihiru
Loki gave an audible sigh; one full of satisfaction, concern, and a little of something that was hard to place a finger on. Whatever it was, it didn't discourage his smile as he turned away from the gradiant sky. "You're up long into the nights too, aren't you? - Doing what?" he inquired with an arched brow. The stallion hoped this wouldn't be a sensitive topic of conversation; it wasn't something he'd noticed bothering her, so he thought it was safe ground to tread upon. But then, one cold never be entirely sure. He'd stuck his foot in his mouth a time or two, and was sure there was more to come. "If you don't mind my asking," he added as an afterthought, and made a small (but joking) bow for good measure.
hanging gallow
"Oh! I am usually up during the nights following Lilly, my bonded human, at night, she never seems to like the day as much as the night, she is much like you Loki, she is always sleeping in the morning and staying up late at night" she said giving him a cheerful smile. "I enjoy being outside at night espcially when there is a full moon around and snow on the ground it causes the whole place to be lit up" she said joyfully. Alona felt comfortable again, she didn't mind talking about what her and Lilly did at night.
Cihiru
"I keep hearing bonds... humans mentioned in passing." Loki paused thoughtfully, and flicked his ears in absent motion. "Would you let me meet Lilly someday?" This was one thing he had genuine curiosity for; humans were something he could never quite grasp. He never had a chance to interact with them as a foal, and didn't really feel comfortable venturing into the human village now. It was a forboding sort of place, despite his thirst to learn more of the two-leggers. "Night is always beautiful, I think. Kali says I'm weird though, and that evenings are for holing yourself up to protect you from the scary things lurking in the darkness." Loki rolled his eyes jokingly, and gave his tail an idle flick.
hanging gallow
"I'm sure Lilly would love to met you, she has a tendancy to prefer talking to other creatures then humans" she said pleasingly. Alona knew Lilly loved to meet any new creature, however she some odd reason seemed to avoid meeting other humans alot. She also avoided anything with large crowds. Alona laughed at what Loki said "I agree the nights sky is beautiful, but there are some scary things lurking in the shadows like...bunnies" Alona said playfully as she did a small hop. "I think every time of the day is to be outside and not to be wasted" she said thoughtfully.
Cihiru
"Bunnies are pretty scary!" Loki faked a start at her hop and dashed a short distance away - Really only a stride or two, but it did put some distance between them, which he closed now at a liesurely walk. "How do you waste a day?" This really did puzzle him; he couldn't think of an activity that was truely wasteful. "And how about... now? I really don't have much better to do," he offered.
hanging gallow
"Good point" Alona laughing as he dodge from her. "What I mean by wasting is not taken advantage of the time you have to do things that you want to do, if you just sit there and don't do anything...well then your wasting time" Alona responded hoping it made some sense. To her wasting time was more of spending long hours sleeping, but then again to some it wasn't as wasteful.
Cihiru
"What if I want to sit there and do nothing?" Loki grinned defiantly, but his train of thought trailed off, and it gave way to a lazy yawn. "It can be relaxing sometimes. Sometimes too relaxing," and there was another yawn. If he didn't go and do something in the near future, he had a sneaking suspicion he'd accidentally drift asleep right here. Too relaxing, indeed. He was far too comfortable, and it was easy to let his mind wander. "I'd still like to meet Lilly," he nagged half-heartedly.
hanging gallow
Alona chuckled a little and gave Loki a nudge. "Don't you fall asleep on me sleepy" she said amusingly. She yawned and looked at Loki. "See you making me sleepy with you" she said trying to keep herself from yawning again. "Oh! I'm sure you will meet Lilly, probably during the night when we are out" she said yawning as she leaned on Loki playfully as if she was holding herself up from sleeping on him.
Cihiru
"Why not?" Loki blinked lazily, and yawned again for emphasis. "You should be sleepy! Sleep is good." And he merely smiled as she leaned against him, bracing himself for additinal weight in the event she were to actually lean on him. "Well, if not sleep, then what would you prefer to do?" For a moment, he wondered why he hadn't crossed paths with Lilly already. If she was truely a 'creature of the night', as he was, he would have thought otherwise. After all, he did wander quite a lot after nightfall, and in the desolate late hours, it wasn't hard to recognize when one had company around.
hanging gallow
Alona sat up off of Loki. "Hmm what to do, what to do... tell you the truth Loki, I really don't know what to do" she said struggling not to yawn again. "But I know if we keep standing here we will both fall asleep" she said playfully nipping at his mane again trying to wake herself up.
Cihiru
"Couldn't help you there. I sleep when I don't know what to do." Yes, this probably fell into the 'wasting time' category, but it was his personal preference nonetheless. Something about being bored shut his mind down completely, and before he realized it, he'd find himself yawning and struggling to keep his eyes open. Currently, however, he hadn't drifted quite that far. - Though it was quickly approaching. "Part of me wants to push you into the river, but my better half says it's a little cold for that." Loki wrinkled his nose a little, and shook his mane as he'd done earlier.
hanging gallow
Alona yawned again with Loki. "Hmm pushing into the river sounds like a good way to wake up even if it was cold" she said with a half mumur of falling asleep. She hadn't slept much in days and she was getting sleepy fast. Her mind kept yelling at her Wake up wake up this is no time to sleep, but Alona's eyes kept drifting further down. "must stay awake" she mumurred quielty.
Cihiru
"Careful what you wish for." Loki leaned against her jokingly, feigning as though he was going to send her tumbling into the streaming waters. He was careful not to push too hard though, and straightened himself after only a moment. "Any time is a good time to sleep," he goaded, ending in a soft 'hrm.' The river seemed pretty inviting, actually. He considered it briefly before stepping onto the shallow banks, and smiled at the water rushing over his hooves and threatening to carry away his streaming tail.
Reunions and Revelations
Loki, Nagual-An & Hania

EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual trotted through the trees. After the past few days, she figured they were the best place to try and run into other soquili. The sunlight peeked through the trees and dappled the forest view.

A butterfly crossed the path. Immediately, the filly stopped and watched it flutter around, and then away. Probably the with the attention-span of a gnat, Nagual was off...her mission forgotten. It was all about the butterfly and the filly giggled and chased after it.
Cihiru
What to do? hadn't been a very prominate question as of late, which was both relieving and surprising to the fair colored stallion. Isilme provided a much-needed dose of humor and company, giving him little time to ponder over the more trivial matters in life. But alas, here he was... meandering through the brush, alone, and bored, and without much of any idea what to do with his newfound time.

A gusty snort signaled his discontent, though the random wildlife carried on as though they scarcely noticed. "I wouldn't mind some company, you know," he muttered as he tilted his nose toward the forest's canopy. The birds nesting there ignored this too, and continued to chirp their melody with total disregard.

Sighing heavily, Loki dropped his muzzle and allowed his posture to slouch a little more than usual. He had been trying not to think of it, but found himself failing miserably: where was Isilme? And why was he worrying about it when he knew well she was a grown, independant mare, and he had plenty of other friends to occupy his time?

Annoyed with himself, and newly discouraged, Loki paused in his absent wandering to take in his surroundings (which he had been ignoring until then, as ill-advised as it was). It was a pretty day; the temperature felt just right, with spring more bravely announcing its presence. The forest here was less crowded too, almost mimicing clearing in the way the trees were spaced so sparcely. There was even enough room to run, but he didn't much feel like it.

Apparently someone else did, though. It was difficult not to hear the sound of crashing underbrush. Loki merely flicked an ear at it, only partially interested at first... Until he saw hints of a form peek between the trunks. Was that a Soquili? His interest piqued, the stallion took a tentative step toward it, testing the faint breeze as he scented it. "Hello?" he called suddenly, sounding surprisingly cheerful to his curious ears.
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual heard the hello through her entrancement of the butterfly. In fact, the sound almost scared...she hadn't realized anyone was around.

When the filly turned to the sound, she forgot about her feet and stumbled to the ground. Rolling head over hoof, she sat up and looked in the direction. Immediately, she spotted the grey stallion.

Standing, Nagual shook out her legs and took a few tentative steps, "Well hello! You scared me, there...."
Cihiru
He felt himself cringe involuntarily as the filly (he realized then) went tumbling. Oops! That wasn't his intended reaction. Perhaps he should have approached a little less boldly; he could tell she had been distracted. Oh well, no turning back. She didn't seem much worse for wear, anyway.

"Er, sorry..." Loki took a few hesitant steps in her direction, bowing his head apologetically. "I hadn't meant to startle you. Are you okay?" He recalled foals were amazingly hardy, but she had just gone rolling across the forest floor... Either way, it couldn't hurt to be polite. Not that he'd approach it any other way.

"I'm Loki, by the way. Hopefully I haven't left too poor an impression." Why was it he always met others through less than ideal circumstances lately? While it did keep life interesting, he had been handing out quite a few apologies. More importantly, he was just waiting for the one individual that took him poorly. He really wasn't too keen on the idea of someone disliking him over an accident; it wasn't his fault. Or was it?
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual smiled broadly, "Well, no harm done! I promise, I am not usually so... clumsy..." Of course, while she said this, her eyes twinkled in a way that explained she has in fact doubted her 'clumsiness' and been proved wrong many times.

By now, the effect of the fall had worn off, for she was indeed like a new sapling.... as long as a limb didn't break in half, it was fine. "Mine name is Nagual-An, and it is a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Loki!"
Cihiru
At least she was unharmed. Loki bobbed his head in understanding at that, and offered a welcoming smile. "I'm glad. And I'm sure you're not; don't worry." And if she was, he was none the wiser. The stallion was certainly a pleasing type... Perhaps too much so, at times. But was there such a thing as 'too nice'?

"I see," he said simply. "Well met, Nagual-An." And... he had no idea what to say from there. It was rather unlike him; he generally had a very easy time with conversation. He wasn't quite himself either though; remnants of his prior distress flashed through his mind. Loki shook his head to shoo them, displacing his faded mane with the motion.

Struggling to come up with ideas, he took a stab at something random: "What did I interrupt, if you don't mind my asking?" It was shallow for his tastes. Small talk. But it was something, and who knew... Maybe it would open the door for something more interesting. It was at least better than nothing at all.

Loki took the lulling silence as an opportunity to cast his gaze elsewhere, at the brightening sky that poked through the leaves overhead, and washed the covered ground in sunlight. It would be afternoon soon, he realized idly. And he readjusted his posture then, shifting his weight and resting one limb lazily against the earth.
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual looked around. "You interrupted some-.... Oh yeah! The butterfly. Well, you see. I was just around the forest.... which I have been doing a lot more recently... and then I saw this butterfly. It was really pretty. I chased after it and then" she shrugged, "well, you know the rest."

"May I ask what you were doing out-" again, the filly paused in mid sentence. Her eye had found something in view and she wanted to check it out. Completely forgetting her manners, Nagual walked up and sniffed it. It was a fig that she had had before...sometime in her past. Without another thought, she pulled a piece away and grinned happily. Turning, her mouth full of the stuff, she asked, "Oh my! Loki, did you want some?"
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania yawned as he trotted out to the Soquili commons area, so to speak, and glanced around. Again, he would have to search around to see if he could find anyone he knew. He hoped he could meet some of his friends that he hadn't seen in a long time, truthfully--maybe he should take a look around.

As he trotted, he spotted a very familiar stallion along with a very familiar young filly. "Hm? Loki!" Hania called, surprised to see one of his first friends. "Oh, and if it isn't the noble young Nagual-An." Hania smiled, and made his way over to them.
Cihiru
He was a little surprised she actually remembered what she had been doing. She crossed him as the sort to get easily wrapped up in whims and drop them shortly after, paying them little or no thought from then on. "Butterflies are very pretty," he agreed, nodding slightly.

The first stab at conversation had been a bit of a flop, he noted with a hint of sadness, but there was some hope yet. "A whole lot of nothing." Loki's tone was a cheerful one, despite the disappointed mood of his reply. "Bored and lonely, you could say. And no butterflies in sight."

And that was random. He tilted his head at her, grinning with a raised brow. "No need to save some for me; I'm fine. Thanks though." In truth, he wasn't too fond of the root. It was one of the many things he discovered as a foal and didn't find very agreeable.

Another voice - a familiar but not-quite-forgotten one - pulled his attention away from the filly. He turned fully toward its source, hoping to spy the Soquili on the other end. "Hello, Hania," the stallion said with a smile as his gaze settled on the other. "It has been a while." A surprisingly long while.
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual giggled, "The more for me!!!" She collected some in her cheeks and then walked back...just in time to hear Hania.

When she turned and saw him, she spat out all her figs. The glinted in his mane and stuck to his fur from all the filly-drool that had encased them. "Noble? Young? I have you know I am old enough to.... okay, maybe I am a little young...." Nagual eyed the stallion, all her pieces of root all over her. She broke down laughing.

The filly started laughing so hard she fell to her knees. Finally, her hysterical attitude simmered down and she had resorted to hiccups. Getting back on her feet, Nagual smirked at Hania, "Oh, I'm sorry... must have been the 'noble' factor kicking in."
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania laughed and shook his mane a bit. "Thank you, O young noble one," he teased. Sobering slightly, Hania greeted Loki. "Loki. How long has it been? Too long, my friend. How are you these days?" Hania hadn't seen the stallion in ages, and he had sorely missed Loki's stubborn personality.

Loki was a tad stoic, but he didn't mind. It was how most stallions were; he had yet to meet more than just Intrepid (who acted a tad like him) who were more open and friendly. "So then, Nagual, are you not so noble as to greet me in a more nice way?" he asked, eyeing the filly with amusment in his eyes.
Cihiru
'Enjoy' would have been his automatic response... but he didn't have time for it. Nagual seemed to have other plans, he soon discovered. And poor Hania, on the recieving end. "Well done," he said instead. "It could be a good look for you." And actually, it would appear the other had more than figs about him. He had spent some time acessorizing, had he? The roots, though... Part of him did want to laugh outright at the absurdity, but the part of him that was relieved it wasn't him forbid it. He merely grinned instead, holding in his amusement.

Hania seemed to take it in stride. "Too long," he confirmed with a bob of his sculpted head. "I have been alright, I suppose. Well, not alright. - I'm doing well." There was a lot and yet nothing to catch up on at the same time. His life was a rather uneventful one. "My sister disappeared; I haven't quite decided if I enjoy it, or I should be worried. Maybe a little of both. A friend has been staying in the forest with me as well." And was he ever grateful for it. "And you?"
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual stuck her tongue out at Hania, "Well, I would have a more appropriate greeting, but where is the fun in that? It is good to see you, though!"

Loki's tone took a saddened tone. To lose a sister? That was such a horrible thing to have to deal with. "I hope your friend has been helpful... I am truly sorry for your loss, Loki..." the filly bowed her head, not sure of the what response was appropriate.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania nipped at the filly teasingly and then looked at his friend in concern. "Loki... that must have been tiring. You have a friend with you? I'm glad." Hania didn't like it that Loki had lost his sister. He wondered what happened to her. He'd never met the mare.

"Who is your friend?" Hania was always eager to meet someone new, though sometimes his stallion nature made him competitive. He'd met so many Soquili's, there were some he could hardly remember ever meeting.
Cihiru
He was so certain in Kali's safety, he couldn't help but chuckle at Nagual's remorse. Hopefully, it wouldn't cross her as offensive, but his amusement was obvious. "She's off doing whatever it is grown sisters do when they don't have to worry about their brothers. It's okay, Nagual."

Was it callous of him not to be concerned? He certainly hoped nobody would fuss over him if he decided to take a leave of absence. "Really, it's nice to have some peace for a while. - I'll go looking for her tomorrow, okay?" This was intended for the filly, in hopes of soothing her worries.

Hania's following question redirected his attention though. "Isilme," he said simply, a new smile lighting his features. "I would be surprised if you've met her. She was just passing through, and sounded rather shocked to hear there are other Soquilis here at all."
EchoLimaFoxtrot
Nagual jumped from Hania in a taunting manner. "Well, I am just not feeling the love here...." she smiled, not taking the words serious at all.

With a both, the filly nodded to the stallions, "I do hope to see you two around... and I wish you all the luck in the world with your sister, Loki! I am sure she can fend for herself, as you've said." She jumped forward and gave her luck to the stallion as an innocent peck on the cheek. With tail held proudly, Nagual ran further down the path to find another adventure.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Good bye, dearest Nagual-An," said Hania, and then turned his head toward Loki. "Isilme? I... I think I've heard of her. She sounds interesting." Hania watched Loki for a minute, then smiled. "Loki, do you... have a strong interest for her?" Hania was always up for matchmaking, though he didn't do it himself.

He himself had been so unsure of who he'd love for his mate, and Mahiri had been his chosen. He couldn't help it; he loved her more than anything, and would do anything in the world for his fox mare. Shaking out of his thoughts, he waited for his friend's answer.
Cihiru
There was a time he would have been taken aback by such a sudden departure... But that time had long passed. It seemed almost normal now, actually. "Thank you, and take care." And just like that, she was gone. It might have been just as well though; he was now free to focus his attention on the stallion, rather than dividing it and doing his best not to neglect either.

"Really? Well, then I am surprised." In truth, he did doubt Hania's honesty a little. He'd scarcely said anything about her, and it was unlikely Isilme had wandered much while he was unaware. White lies were curious things; harmless, but untruths just the same.

"Wait, what?" Loki's expression shifted quickly, fading from contended to jokingly accusing. There was laughter in his tone as he continued: "Firstly, what in the world makes you ask that?" And he paused before carrying on, his pondering apparent in his briefly distant gaze. "We were fast friends, I think. But I could be wrong - And I've hardly known her long enough to say, anyway." He hadn't meant to side-step the question, but it was a difficult one to answer directly.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled. "Ah, I see. Well, I'll no more of that topic. I'm glad to see you are well. Do you remember Mahiri?" Hania had yet to tell Loki the news of him being mated, and especially to the fox mare, whom Hania remembed annoyed Loki to no end. Grinning, Hania pawed at the ground with his hoof, watching and waiting for Loki's expression. His friend's expression from earlier when he had asked about the strong interest in a mare.
Cihiru
The ease with which Hania dropped the discussion disappointed him a little... For several reasons. He had actually been grateful for an opportunity to talk about Isilme; no other listening ears were really available, and it was something he had to admit he did want to discuss, despite his adversion to the approach.

A rather brutal end to what he saw as potiental conversation; it was a trade for a topic that could be tender. Loki warned himself to be friendly and cautious; he could see the fondness in the stallion's eyes, and he knew where it was going. It was one of the reasons he had been hesitant to return to his old friends - Was he the only one still without a mate?

"I do," he replied suddenly, smiling softly. "Shall I give you my congratulations, maybe?" He hadn't disliked Mahiri, particularly. She was just too high-strung for large doses. And how ironic for Hania to take her as a mate, if his suspicions proved correct.
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania sighed with disappointment. "Loki, I swear you can read my mind. But yes, it's her." He smiled, and then mentally noted the split-second disappointment in Loki's eyes. "Loki," he prodded, "I know that it's not my business, but I'd really like to hear more of Isilme. If she's able to keep you happy, that's good. If not..." Hania let the thread hang.

He despised any Soquili that made any of his friends unhappy, whether he knew them or not. "Mahiri's been doing well, and I find it interesting that she has even calmed down a little," said Hania, deciding to stay on topic while yet hinting to Loki to spill his secrets and fillings. Hania was willing to listen; after all, Loki looked like he needed to talk about something, and Hania felt that he needed it now.
Cihiru
He didn't quite understand Hania's sigh... Was it bad he had a pretty good guess at what he was going to say? It was an obvious conclusion in his mind; he couldn't help it. "Well then! I'm happy for you both. I find it hard to believe she's 'settled down' though. Really - It's Mahiri." Loki grinned jokingly in an attempt to lighten what he felt as a suddenly gloomy mood.

"Of course she makes me happy," he interjected, before he had a chance to really think. Well, that sounded awkward. And really, one of these days he needed to learn to contain his expressions a little better. It was a bit of a bother having everyone read him all the time. Whatever happened to secrets?

At any rate, he was glad for the opening. "She's a conversationalist, like I am - I doubt you'd appreciate it much," he added with a soft chuckle. "She talks a lot about beings I've never heard of, too... Hania, do you know who Epona and Windrunner are?" Probably not, he thought with an absent twitch of his tail. "I think it's interesting, anyway."
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania cocked his head. "I see. Another conversationalist? And you do sound happy, Loki. That's awesome. Epona and Windrunner? They sound like the Soquili gods." Hania had known about horse gods, but he hadn't realized they actually had names. He'd been wondering who his human had been praying to, and she had often said similar named as Epona and Windrunner.

"You even look happy. You're not hiding your emotions too much anymore either," Hania teased, smiling. It was good to see his friend happy. Loki had seemed stiff and lonely feeling before--more so than him when he'd first met Loki--so he was glad to see that Loki was feeling and even looking a lot better than before.
Cihiru
"You say that like it's a bad thing," he replied suddenly, his expression wilting with his mock pouting. Was it really so unnatural to want to talk and explore the nuances life had to offer? To appreciate aspects other than just running and play? It was all well and fun, but he couldn't stand only that.

And Hania knew them too? That was unexpected. "They are." Perhaps his ignorance was more isolated than he realized. It left him feeling a little silly and unknowledgeable. "Isilme says Epona created the Soquili, and Windrunner is their leader." She also said humans were dangerous, but perhaps it was best he didn't mention that part.

"I always was..." At least, he thought he had been. He was a generally cheerful individual, wasn't he? "I don't hide them because I'm bad at it. Don't think I don't try," he defended, poking his tongue out in jest. How disconcerting to realize Hania saw him as something other than what he thought he was...
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania smiled at Loki's gesture. "I suppose when I first met you, I must admit I thought you were a bit stiff and stubborn. I apologize for that now." Hania loved to run and play, of course, but that wasn't all he did. "So then Epona really is a Soquili god. Or goddess. And Windrunner is whom I often speak to by my lonesome, though I doubt he actually listens to me."

Hania had often prayed to the Soquili gods for his safety when he was young and by himself, but at least he'd been old enough to take care of himself until Miakoda had found him again. "Humans are dangerous if you don't know the difference," Hania suddenly commented, as he eyed Loki. "If you can't tell the good from the bad, they are dangerous in that they occupy your mind constantly, like a nightmare that haunts you. Don't let that get to you.

"Besides, Loki," he added, "I'm not sure whether or not you like humans, but if a Soquili you know advises you and tells you humans are dangerous, you should ask them to explain why. There are bad humans out there, but just as there are good Soquili, there are bad Soquili, so therefore there are also good humans. Life has to have a balance." Hania had learned this when he was young; he'd learned it the hard way.
The Late Afternoon

Rahu snorted as he walked. it had been four months since his last encounter with Aruna. shaking his head, he had become a little unstable on the inside emotionaly. but you would never know it from his calm, cold heart demenare now. flicking his tail, he wondered what he should do about Aruna. in truth he cared about her, but then he did not want to let anyone close. still in thought, he did not notice anything around him.

SummerRaven
Bairn dragged his mother along as they walked. It had been a while since she left the home for anything other then food, and the stallion thought Mahiri definatly needed to get out more. "Come on mother." He protested as she looked at him with sad eyes. "The only way you'll get to see father again is if you actually make an attempt to find him!" The male chuckled, shaking his head at Mahiri.

The fox mare sighed, knowing her son was right. She just was so sad lately, Hania hadn't been around ever to visit her...it seemed like it been forever since they last saw eachother. She missed her mate so much, and finally stopped pulling away from Bairn. "I know, I'm sorry." Mahiri said, a whole lot happier now. "Let's go find your father."

Bairn nodded, happy his mother had finally given in. He also wanted to see Hania again, but truthfully, he longed see his sister. Something was wrong with her for the past 4 months. Even though he didn't see her, the stallion could just sense it. Something bothered her, so it bothered him. Aruna needed his help.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Come, Father," Aruna said, feeling quite dull and resigned. Her father needed to exercise more. He also needed to see her mother, whom she herself wanted to see. But she needed her brother right now. Bairn might be younger, but he acted older than her sometimes, which she was grateful for. The past four months had been agony. On the outside, her sharp eyes had dimmed to a dull, emotionless mask and once beautiful, dark chocolate coat had dulled as well.

Hania frowned as he trotted next to his daughter. What was wrong with her? "I'm coming, love," he said, coughing slightly. He might have healed, but he was still slightly sick. He was eager to finally go and meet his mate, whom he had missed dearly, and had been saddened by the fact that he had not been able to visit her at all. He disliked it, however, that something was wrong with Aruna. Something had definitely happened to her that caused her to look so... He didn't even want to say it.

"Father?" Aruna asked, concerned when Hania coughed. That was... "Father, you're all right, aren't you?" Hania had gotten considerably better, but now quite. She guessed he had hidden it from her in his eagerness to go and meet Mahiri. "Father? Are you sure you really..." She paused, and rolled her eyes, although the way she looked probably made it look as if she was being humorless. She continued walking.

samus x
Rahu's ears twitched as he heared voices. three of them he knew and cringed. they where coming his way, and he did not know wether to leave where he was or just stay there. pawign the ground, he tryed to think of what to do. he did not need another scene with Aruna. especaly since her brother and mother from what he could tell where coming. starting to walk off, he hoped he was not caught by ether, Aruna or her brother.

SummerRaven
Bairn wandered along side his mother still, just watching as she moved. He wanted to go off and find Aruna, or Rahu if he knew where she was. But the stallion didn't want to leave his mother alone, so he stayed with her. As soon as they found Hania, he'd leave. As the two of them walked, he didn't notice the familiar black stallion standing near.

But Mahiri did. "Ooh, look Bairn. It's your friend, Rahu! Hello Rahu!" She called out rather happily, rushing towards him. The fox mare giggled as she approached the dark male, "Have you seen my mate anywhere?" She asked him, completely forgetting that he didn't know who Hania was.

Yes, hello Rahu... thought Bairn as he watched his mother rush towards him. Aruna wasn't anywhere near him, neither was Hania. They needed to keep moving, they couldn't stay here long. Not in the mood to chat, Bairn stood there watching the two of them.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Father?" Aruna turned toward her father, to see that he was walking quite slowly. "I hear voices. And one of them sounds like Mother's--" She was cut off as a rush of wind passed her, looking oddly like a light, golden-brown blur. "Hm?" She blinked, a little put off and startled. I guess Father really does miss her... Aruna didn't want to go after her father because she could tell Rahu's scent was there, and she relunctantly followed after her father.

Hania hadn't noticed the voices or scents until Aruna had said something. His stupid sickness was getting to him, too. When she told him, he had rushed off in a hurry. He really wanted to see Mahiri. As he entered the area, he saw his beloved mate, and his son, as well as a dark colored stallion. "Hiri?" he called to his mate, a bit unsure. The dark male was making him feel... unusual.

As Aruna ambled into the area, she whinnied softly, although everything about her seemed dimmed, unenthusiastic... and unsharp, like her usual self. She didn't seem to catch on to things as fast as she had before, either. "Bairn? Mother?" She questioned, voice devoid of any emotion. Usually, she allowed herself to show off her emotions to those she cared for; especially her family.

samus x
Rahu backed up a little from shock of Mahiri running up to him. giving a bow, to hide that shock, he then lifted his head. " ello Mahiri, and Bairn." he then blink at her for a moment. " no i have not, but i do beleive i never met you mate." thats when he noticed a stallion and Aruna come in when he heard them talk. seriously wanting to walk away, he just stood there calm and figured the stallion with Aruna was her father.

SummerRaven
Bairn just stood there and grinned stupidly at the whole sight in front of him. Rahu seemed shock by the sudden appearance of Mahiri, and now Aruna and Hania were here. That was good, he thought, but longed for his other sister to be there as well. Artemis was never around, it pained him so much. The stallion chose not to say a word to either of the soquili's in front of him, but rather just watched. Aruna seemed very very upset, he could just tell. If she wanted to talk, he'd be here, if not...perhaps he'd go off and find Artemis.

"Hania? Hania?" Mahiri giggled, her spirit lifted up completely when she saw her mate run towards her. "Oh, my love, I've missed you so much!" The fox colored mare said loudly, moving towards him and nuzzling him softly. "Oh, where have you been? Are you alright, something seems wrong?" Mahiri talked very fast, excited to finally see Hania. She didn't really notice Aruna at that moment, and completely forgot about Bairn, but not Rahu. "Oh, Rahu, thank you. If I didn't stay and talk to you for a moment, I wouldn't have seen my mate!" She giggled, "This is my mate by the way, his name is Hania....Hania this is Rahu."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna glanced at her brother, dull eyes questioning him, as if to say, I really want to talk, but... She glanced to her mother, smiling slightly even though her eyes remained dull. She then allowed her haunted gaze to wander over to Rahu. "Hello, Rahu," she greeted, voice cheerful but expression stone dead. Whatever was wrong with her, it seemed only Bairn would get to find out. "It's good to see you again..."

Hania, too, had forgotten about his children, but when Mahiri introduced Rahu, he nodded, somewhat stiffly, at the dark stallion. "A pleasure to meet you, Rahu." He semi-bowed, but it was slightly stubborn, and then he stood to nuzzle Mahiri. "Nothing's wrong, just small cold, that's all, dear. My love, how have you been? I hope my absense has not made you worry so!" He nuzzled her more, concern over her well-being overriding his protectiveness for his daughter, for the moment.

samus x
Rahu gave a bow to Hania to be polite and not to cause something. he really did not want to deal with a fight with Aruna." like wise Hania im sure." turning to Aruna, he kepted his eyes hidden from emotion. " ello, Aruna. and it is good to see you too." noticing Bairn being quiet, he wondered why. and Aruna too seemed differnt than usual, but he knew that was his fault.

SummerRaven
Bairn smirked at the four of them. They all seemed to be acting strange, it made no sense. The whole situation, the environment made the stallion quite uncomfortable, for he too was acting strange after what happened with Astia. Life was difficult sometimes, he thought, and still kept in the background. The brown male just wanted to know what made life the way it was...what made everyone do what they did, or say what they said. It was a terribly stupid reason to get all upset over, but what was the purpose of life? Watching his family together, without Artemis tore him up inside. It was like a whole garden of delicious fruit trees and berry bushes, the only thing missing was in fact the food. And then there was Rahu....poor dear Rahu, he just didn't quite fit the picture Bairn was staring at. He was out of place, a misfit, he didn't belong. But it was like he NEEDED too, almost...almost...Bairn frowned, there was something wrong, but what? Deciding to keep quiet, he just stared.

Mahiri giggled happily again, she could barely contain her hyperness. Although her son had mentioned in more then a few times, she couldn't help but be very playfull. "Oh, Hania. I've missed you!" She repeated, trying to stop herself from a sudden 'hyper outburst'. "A cold? Oh, my love! A cold is not just nothing! It's everything! A cold...my poor dear..." She said with a goofy frown. "I've been good, our Bairn has been taking very good care of me. I don't worry too badly. But the question is, how are you?" The fox colored mare nuzzled her mate in return. Quickly remembering Aruna, she turned to her eldest daughter. "Aruna, darling!" She grinned. "How are you, my love? I've missed you too!" Oooh! This excitement was almost too much.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna chuckled at her mother. "Playful as always, right, Mother? I hope Bairn isn't the one keeping you from your hyperness, even though both he and I can get exasperated with it." She smiled at her mother, happy to see her after such a long time. "I've missed you so much, Mother." She walked over to give her mother an affectionate nuzzle, then walked over to her brother. "I met a new Soquili, brother," she told him, trying to hide smile. Her eyes seemed to be the only thing that were totally unexpressive. "Her name is Astia. She's a very pretty mare." She then turned and walked over to Rahu, pretending she didn't see her brother uncomfortableness. She smiled at the stallion, though her heart ached badly as she stared at him. "How have you been the past four months? I'm surprised we met up so soon. Just like old times, hm?"

Hania frowned at the way Aruna was behaving. Nudging Mahiri, he whispered, "Don't worry too much about me, my love, but worry about Aruna. There has been something deathly wrong with her, and I fear for her mental state. Things seemed to be unstable, and she looks to be losing her sanity, or nearly. I worry. How is Artemis? I see that my son is doing fine." He stayed as close to Mahiri as he could; he had missed her presense so much... He didn't want to leave Miakoda, though; his bonded needed him, but he had the strange feeling he wouldn't get to see her in future times any longer. Shaking the thought of dark times ahead, he turned to busy himself with nuzzling his mate and watching the scene which would become a major event that he knew would change his childrens' lives.

samus x
Rahu felt way out of place among this group, since well they where all family members and he was not. swishing his tail he kept quiet and kind of looked about, hoping to be able to slip away when Aruna talked to him. " im been the same as usual Aruna. and i guess you could say that." on the inside this hole family sceen and being around Aruna tore him up.

SummerRaven
The stallion wanted to escape, noticing Rahu wanted to as well, but he just couldn't. This was his family, they were hardly ever together, this was supposed to be 'happy moment', but it just wasn't. It was Aruna's attitude, she never acted like that. Showing a fake smile when she approached him, he said, "Really? Astia, yes I've met her too. She has a lot to learn about things." Bairn's thoughts were about to escape over to Astia until he heard his sister and Rahu talk. Standing in the same spot, he tried to listen as to what they were saying. Maybe this conversation would explain why everything felt so wrong.

Mahiri laughed loudly at her daughter. "Yes, yes I suppose I am. But that's because I'm now with your father! Don't worry, Bairn knows when to do that, and when not to." She said happily, returning her daughters nuzzle. "You so beautiful, my daughter." Turning to Hania, she frowned. "Our children are all so beautiful. They've grown much. I cannot wait to be a grandmother!" The fox mare giggled, then heard her mate's words, which made her attitude completely change. "What? Aruna? Her mental state? Oh my!" Mahiri glanced over at Rahu and Aruna, and wondered something. "Oh, Hania...I do believe she's just going through a terrible heartbreak. Things will get better, if not...well then I will worry." She told her mate softly, trying to cheer her up. She knew her children very well, and knew how to handle things like most mothers. "Yes, your son is doing well...although he too seems to be having some problems lately. And about Artemis, I haven't seen her recently, but she's better then ever. That human treats her well, I'm glad to say." Mahiri didn't want to worry about her youngest daughter either, that would only bring more troubles to this family. That was the last thing the fox mare wanted.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Good to hear, Rahu," she said, ignoring everything that seemed to be negative. "I've been fine, as you can tell." Why was she being cheerful? "Would you and my brother come with me? I'll let my parents catch up with each other. They haven't seen each other in a long time." She smiled at her parents, whinnying to let them know she was moving to a more private place. "Bairn, come with us!" Aruna said, urging her brother. "Mother and Father will be fine! Father will protect Mother." It was true. But she knew her mother knew what she was up to. "By the way, Mother, I only take after you in beauty." She grinned, chuckling a bit, and then turned to leave the area.

"...I'm quite curious what you mean, my love," Hania said, watching his children leave with the stallion. "What do you mean by heartbreak? I'd rather Aruna never go through such a troubled phase..." Hania could admit that he had never had such a troubling mental state, however mares he liked, he still knew who was going to be his chosen mate. He nuzzled Mahiri. He was never really good at those matters anyway. "I don't like this, Hiri. I don't like that black stallion. Somehow, I get the feeling he's the one that caused Aruna's... behavior..." He rested his head over his mate's back. "All this worry has gotten me sick. I suppose I should stop and just listen to your advice, eh?" he nipped her teasingly. "Artemis... I wish we could see our youngest daughter again. It's been... far longer than I would have ever wished for our family to be seperated."

samus x
Rahu nodded and folded shilently. walking besided to two, he really did not know what Aruna was planning to do. flickign his talk as he walked, did he really want to know what was going to happen next? and he knew her father most likey did not like him, but that was omething he did not care about.

SummerRaven
His ears perked up when Aruna called his name and he slowly nodded. Perhaps this was what he was waiting for, he needed to know what was going on. "Alright...coming." He said calmly, trotting behind Rahu and Aruna as they walked. Where was she taking them, and what was going to happen? Turning to look back at his parents, Bairn suddently wished he had stayed with them.

Mahiri nodded at Aruna. "Ha! If only that was the truth!" She giggled, turning her attention back to Hania. "I'm quite sure something happened between her and dear Rahu. I mean, just look at the way they act towards eachother. Whatever happened is making her this way." The fox mare nodded slowly, nuzzling her mate back. "Don't worry..." She said calmly, "Rahu is probably the cause, but not intential. I met the guy, I like him. And so does Bairn. If our son likes somebody, then he'd definatly got to be good enough." The mare joked, nipping Hania in return. "Yes, you should listen to the mother of your children. And it's not Artemis's fault, it's her human's. Kaliska doesn't really have her around the teepee very often. I agree it's been to long, but there is nothing we can do."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna led the two stallions--one, her love interest, the other, her brother--into a clearing just beyond the area where part of her family met ways. She soon stopped just at the edge of the small pond that rippled from time to time with fish or insects. "Rahu, Bairn, I've led you hear for privacy..." She took a breath, "...And, I would like to discuss the matter of... our emotions. My emotions, and Rahu's." She really hoped Rahu would say something, because this was where she would begin her healing. After she had confessed--twice, at that--it was time, she figured, that Rahu be told that she was not going to ever love him again, in that way. From now on, she decided, he was merely a friend. Possibly an aquaitance...

Hania said nothing, just listened to his mate. That is, until Hiri said something about Rahu and Aruna. "What!?" he exclaimed, aghast. "That stallion was the one that made Aruna cry! How dare he! Why, I ought to...!" He was furious. No one made his daughter cry and got away with it! "Not even Bairn knows Aruna cried! She told me, but I could do nothing since she never told me who the Soquili was that made her cry." Hania nuzzled his mate to try and calm down. He was sorrowful that he could do nothing for any of his offspring. "It's a pity Artemis is unable to meet us, but I suppose it can't be helped." He sighed. "I suppose if you like Rahu, and my son likes him, I'll give him a chance. Just this once, however."

samus x
Rahu sighed and listened to Aruna. " fine." was all he said and stood there. having no clue what to do now, he was kind of expectiong this to happen. yet what was he going to say when she now trying to force him to talk about his feelings. this whole thing was bad for him since she now dragged Bairn into it. sighing once more, he knew he had a choice to make. ether tell her his actual feelings or just not and let her hate him.

SummerRaven
Bairn nodded slowly, looking from Aruna to Rahu still curious as to what is going on. Whatever was going to happen in the next few moments, the stallion knew he wouldn't like it. "Alright my love, go right ahead." He told his sister softly, glaring at Rahu. All this emotional stuff she was going through was probably his fault, and to think that Bairn actually approved of him.

"Shh, my love, shhh." Mahiri smiled warmly, still trying to comfort Hania. "Don't worry...shhh." The whole scene made her giggle, everyone seemed to be overreacting. This wasn't a big deal in her oppinion, the fox mare always had an optomistic look on things, whatever Aruna's deal was, it was bound to get better. Nuzzling her mate back, she giggled again. "Yes, give the poor stallion a chance. That's what he needs." Suddently Mahiri felt as though she needed to have a private one-on-one chat with Rahu.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna took a deep breath as tears slowly began to appear in her eyes. "I... Rahu, I've decided to move on. It looks like there's no hope for me with you. I've tried my best, I guess. Look, if you ever had any kind of feelings for me..." she paused, blinking, allowing a few tears to drop, "...please just move ahead. It doesn't seem like... like it'll work out. It's too... hopeless... I'll find another stallion." Aruna knew several stallions; in fact, had it not been for Rahu, she could have been searching through each of her stallion friends to see whom she could truly love. "Brother... I... I'm done." She closed her eyes, taking soft, but deep, breaths to calm down. She needed to move on. Anyway, she had a few stallions in mind...

Hania laughed. "You always were one to see things on the bright side!" he nuzzled her. "Well, if anything bad happens, not only will he see my wrath..." Hania wasn't the only one who would probably attack (verbally, anyway) Rahu if anything happened to Aruna, but since Bairn was with them--Aruna was always a smart girl, wasn't she? Hmmm...--he hoped everything would work out. "Well, you're the mother of your children. I'm only here to protect and give my family love, yes?" He chuckled.

samus x
Rahu knew Barin hated him now and could feel him glaring but thats not what hurt him inside. not even looking at Aruna he listened to her and gave a nodded. " if that is your decesion then fine. i have no right to stop you and so i wont." still not looking at her and actual looking at the ground. to think he was actualy concedering saying what he wanted to say to her. he's face somewhat showed his emotion, he then gave a sigh, whating to be told to leave or just leave. though wanting to, he stayed there waiting for Bairn to speak his mind and for Aruna to be done too.

SummerRaven
Bairn listened to their words, nodding along with everything they said. So that was it, they were in love but it seemed Rahu didn't want them to be together. It broke the stallion's heart that his sister had to go through this but he didn't show, he wanted to be the caring brother, not the one who overreacted and made things worse. "You'll find someone, my love and when you'll do he'll be the luckiest stallion ever. You're a great girl, don't let anyone say otherwise." Bairn told Aruna softly, smiling warmly at her. Turning to Rahu, the smile turned to a frown. "You're throwing away the best thing that's ever happen to you, do you realize that? I know it's not in my place to comment on this, but you're just ignorant."

Mahiri's eye's light up at her husband's words. "Well, yes that's what makes me me!" She giggled loudly, nuzzling Hania again, it was just so wonderful being with her mate again. "Alright, yes. If something happens, you and Bairn have my o.k. to go after him." The fox mare nodded slowly becoming serious. Then giggling agai, Mahiri added, "Yes, that's right!"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Yes... I..." She was having trouble looking either in the eye. "Thank you, my dear brother." When had she just... become this way? Whoever said love makes you do crazy things was right... She felt guilty for laying all of this out suddenly, but she just... couldn't do it anymore. She had to move on. She didn't think she could wait for forever--she wasn't completely patient, after all; quite the opposite, sometimes--and Rahu didn't seem the sort to be patient, either. She knew better, now; she had been so... naive, more so than she had thought before. Why? She could only ask that one question, with unknown and many answers. That was all she could do. She held her breath a little as she waited for Rahu to say something. "...Rahu... please... say something..." she whispered, nearly berathlessly.

Hania smiled just as he suddenly felt a twinge. "Hm?" He frowned, eyes narrowed in thought as he tried to figure out what was bugging him. He had a father's instinct, but something was buzzing in the back of his mind that something had gone awry. "Hiri... I have a feeling I won't be after Rahu. Something's wrong... but it's right, too. I don't understand it myself, but I just have this feeling..." Brushing off the thought, he only returned to nuzzling his mate. "More children, do you think?" he suddenly asked, eyes twinkling. "And maybe this time they'll be more like us?" He laughed, and quirked an ear in question. "What do you think, Hiri? Or are our current children enough?" Hania didn't mind at all if he had more children--hey, he'd have a bigger family!--and this time, he hoped, the entire family could get together... and maybe he could start a herd...

samus x
Rahu did not bother to look at Aruna and heard every word Bairn said. ?You think I don?t understand that Barin. I already know, Aruna deserves better and that I should let her go on." his emotions clearly showed on his face, he did not even bother to hide them now and turned to Aruna. ?What do you want me to say? If you think I?m going to stop you or try to change your mind I?m not going to. I have no right to try to change your mind and I know that. If you want to hate me then fine. Though I?ll say this, I do care." Giving a heavy sigh, he just wanted to go away but knew it was time he stopped running.

SummerRaven
Bairn continued to glare at Rahu as the three of them stood there, he suddently had mixed feelings for this stallion. He seemed rather nice at first, but Rahu just wasn't what Bairn expected after listening to both Aruna and him speak. Sighing, he stole at glance at his sister and tried to smile. "I'll always be there for you, my dear sister. Don't you worry. Father, Mother, Artemis and me." Turning back to glare at Rahu, the stallion wore a emotionless face. "If you care, you wouldn't do this." He said softly to Rahu, waiting for either of them to speak.

Mahiri titled her head at her mate's sudden awkwardedness. "What's wrong?" She asked softly, nuzzling him again. Whatever feeling he had, she didn't because nothing bothered her terribly, so this was rather confusing. Giggling at his next words, the fox mare nodded quickly. "Oh yes. I do hope our next children do act more like us, it's a shame about Bairn, Aruna and Artemis, but they're their own selves I guess." Mahiri giggled at Hania again and nipped him playfully. "More children sounds wonderful in the future yes..."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna sighed. "I don't know what I want you to say. At this point, I suppose it doesn't matter. What matters, though, is what you want to say... if you want to say anything at all, that is." She returned to her usual expression, a neutral, golden eyes somewhat glaring, with a half-smirk on her face. She felt better now that she had gotten out what she'd wanted to say. She nuzzled her brother, seeking comfort, before she stepped back. "I... well, it's time we left. My father will be with my mother for a time, but I... I need to go. I don't think... waiting is proper for me." She gave Rahu a smirk. "Well, I feel free. I hope you do too. I'm glad you care, Rahu... I still care, too, but I'm not sure if it's love, now. Probably just love for a friend, right? I'll see you later, Bairn." With that said, she left at a fast trot.

Hania decided that he wouldn't worry Mahiri and just decided to play with her instead. "Well, since we're here... in a wide area... tag!" he nipped her lightly, and then took off at fast canter. He wanted to spend time with his mate, and so, he put aside his worries for his children. "More children in the future..." He smiled to himself. He'd love to have more children! He was proud of all his family. His adopted family, and his blood family, and his mate. "Catch me if you can!"

samus x
Rahu sighed and did not bother to say a thing back at Bairn. he looked at Aruna for a moment and gave a slight snort. " i better go myself, i rather not stick around here no more. and Aruna if thats what you want, then fine. though maybe things would have been different if i was not the way i was." not bothereing to look at Bairn, whom he knew hated him. he walked off the way he had came, trying now to figure himself out and how this all happned.

SummerRaven
Bairn just nodded at the two of them, thinking to himself about what just happened. He silently wished life was as easy as Mahiri and Hania made it look, but it just wasn't. Everything was complicated, everything brought pain in someway. "Alright, Aruna. I'll see you around. I best be off." The stallion smiled, noticing Rahu didn't look at him, which was for the best. "After this talk, I feel I must find someone and apologize." Watching his sister leave for a moment, and then Bairn took off in his own direction.

Mahiri's eyes lit up at her mate's words, and she giggled playfully. "Oh, you're in for it now!" She yelled, and chased after him at a similiar fast pace. "Catch you if I can? Do you even need to say that?" The fox mare asked Hania, laughing. She was so happy that she was able to have fun with her mate again, she missed that.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Hania chuckled as he increased his speed. "Of course I have to ask, Hiri!" he called back to his mate. "I've gotten a lot better while I've been gone! I'll prove it to you!" He had missed hanging out with his mate... "Besides, I usually let you win! It's time I won at least ONE game!" He had missed doing this so much...
Family Time
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna shook herself awake as she stepped out into the main Soquili forest area which stood at the edge of the mountainous region. She was an early bird, but she was more nocturnal, if anything. However, she was just glad it would be a while before her father would wake up, including Miakoda. Miakoda had seemed quite worn out lately, and she couldn't figure out why, but that was fine, she supposed. Making her way to the cool stream she could hear softly trickling along, she bent to get a good, morning sip of the delicious fresh water.

Her mane--thank goodness Miakoda braided it--almost got in the way, but, since it was braided, it stayed out of the way. She lifted her head, ears swerving to and fro as she listened to the calm of the early morning. She laughed softly to herself as she thought about her name. It meant 'Dawn'... Hania didn't name her, but Miakoda did. Hania seemed to agree that it suited her perfectly. Perhaps it did. She sighed, taking in the fresh air as she did so. Perhaps Artemis or Bairn were up and about. I should visit them. It has been a long time.

SummerRaven
Bairn stood outside him home, admirring the scenery when he suddently grew bored of just always being there with his mother and Lalit. Not to mention Kaliska and Swafi, who were already up and about somewhere else. The stallion watched as the two of them slept, and then decided to wander about the area. Maybe, if he was lucky, he'd run into Aruna or Hania, the two other Soquili's he cared more about then anyone, save Artemis and Mahiri. He hadn't seen them in so long...he missed them so much.
Slowly making his way down to a stream not to far off from where he was, the stallion caught scent of another creature there. It was a female, and she seemed very familiar. Curious, he trotted closer to the waters and spotted his sister Aruna. Ha! He chuckled to himself. How ironic. He was just thinking about her, and there she was. Slipping behind a rather large tree, Bairn watched his sister quietly, waiting to see what she would do.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna was staring up past the tree leaves when she caught a familiar scent. She turned, and looked around, roving her gold eyes to see if she could spot the familiar scent past the brown colored tree bark, and spotted her brother. He was watching her. She turned in his direction, but stayed where she was, and gave one of her infamous half-smiles. "Bairn. Good morning, brother," she said quietly, as she looked into the same golden eyes both had gotten from their father. Hania would be coming out later, if Bairn was around. Their father had missed his family, and had wanted to visit them sometime.

SummerRaven
Bairn grinned when his sister spotted him, it took her a lot less time then he expected. "Ah, yes. Good morning dear sister." He said to her, his voice sounded tired as if he hadn't fully awakened yet. With a small yawn, the stallion made his way over to her, bowing when he got there. "Up real early I see. And without father? Tisk, tisk Aruna. You could get hurt." Bairn chuckled loudly, as he teased his sister. Although he did really care. Even though it was morning, there were still some stallions around that may want to hurt Aruna.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna rolled her eyes, and dropped her half-smile into a soft, full-blown chuckle. "Well, brother dear, I'm fully aware of such danger. I can take care of myself, though." She nipped her brother affectionately. "Now, what are you doing here, so early in the morning? I know that you're not an early waker." Aruna didn't need much sleep, but she still slept enough. She exercised well, but not as much as her father normally did. Then again, Hania just plain loved to run. He was also quite... spirited... and that always made her exasperated.

SummerRaven
Bairn liked seeing his sister laugh, although he didn't exactly know why. Maybe it was because it told him that his family was still safe. "Alright, if you say so dear Aruna." A rather serious look was planted on his face as he spoke. "Just remember you said that next time ol' Rahu comes around." The stallio teased again, and nipped her back. "I guess I just grew bored of looking at mother and Lalit. The sun is bright today, and that woke me up." Brown eyes stared at the water as he spoke, trying hard to resist jumping around in it and playing like his parents did. Even though he was calm, and hated to have fun...their blood still ran through his body...he couldn't help but act like Mahiri and Hania around water.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna narrowed her eyes at the mention of the dark stallion's name. "Rahu? That old twit couldn't hurt me even if he kicked his way through a mountain!" Aruna nuzzled her brother, and then eyed the water. Like Bairn, as much as she didn't like the idea of 'playing'... Hania's and Mahiri's blood ran through her, and well, Bairn was here... Why not? It's not often we do play. As foals, we played a lot, but... well... Aruna fully smiled at her brother. "Are you as tempted as I am, Bairn?" She stared into the water, her reflection swirling back and forth on the water surface as it moved silently down the bank, trickling with life.

SummerRaven
"Well you never really know with his kind, dear." Bairn said, amused by her reaction to his name. Looking down at the water again, and then back at Aruna, he could sense that she wanted to play as well. But they couldn't. It was a stupid, foolish thing to do. Only true idiots, save Mahiri and Hania played in the water. Sighing, he tore his eyes away from Aruna and casually shook his head. "Nope. Not...at...all." He said softly, through clenched teeth. He wasn't going to give in like last time, with Kasida.

Aruna glanced at her brother. "Are you well, brother? You're clenching your teeth," Aruna asked, concerned. "Rahu is one of a kind. There is... Wyvern... I haven't seen him since that one time..." Aruna turned away from the stream, killing her temptation. She frowned. "That is strange. I hadn't thought of that Kalona until now." She turned to her brother. "Have you met anyone new, brother? I've met... quite a few. I even managed to meet a Wind Soquili, though that was when I was younger. She is probably grown now... she was amazing..." Aruna murmured, more to herself than her brother, but now she was concerned. "What's the matter? Did you do something you're angry about?"

SummerRaven
As Aruna showed that she was concerned for Bairn, he sighed, wishing that the water was never there. He didn't want her to see him at his weakest. "Yes, I'm alright, Aruna. Do not worry." He paused to hear her words, grinning ever so slightly. "Well then maybe that means something. Is he kind to you? Rahu seems likeable, but I do not know of this Wyvern. I've met a few as well. This beautiful blue mare, and a rather strange looking wind stallion. He was amusing. Came from the ocean, he did, and promised he'd take me there one day." Bairn couldn't dare look at his sister, for fear that she would laugh if he told her that he played in the water just the other day with Kasida. He didn't want her to see him like this though, so he tried his best to seem content. "No, it's nothing. Do not worry."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She chuckled as she mused over Bairn's words. "Wyvern? Kind? Maybe. He's a Kalona, Bairn. I'm sure you've heard the stories. Wyvern is probably--strangely enough--the kindest of all the others. Father said that the Kalona he met was... "terrifyingly beautiful"... Which, I assume, means he met a female." She blinked as she listened. "You said 'ocean'? I've been there before. Once. I met a stallion named Jazz, and a mare named Kanti there." She wondered if Bairn played in the seawater. "Did you play there? I did. It was quite amusing." She didn't care about what others thought of her, but she did care about what they thought of her expressions. She usually kept an impassive face around strangers, but after she got to know them, she let her guarded expression melt... a little.

SummerRaven
"I have, yes, but not everyone acts like everyone expects them too. This Wyvern may be a Kalona, but he also can be very polite. Don't judge others just because of what you hear." Bairn told her, keeping a serious face as he spoke. The stallion honestly believed that everyone had a nice side to them, no matter what type of soquili they were. "You have? I'm impressed." He said softly, wishing that he too could venture to the ocean, but Mahiri wouldn't approve of it if he went alone. "I'll bet it's beautiful..." He paused, dreaming about the beauty of the big body of water. Bairn blinked at Aruna's question. Did he play in the water? Yes. But was he strong enough to tell her? No. Unlike his sister, what others thought about him mattered the most. "No I never played in water before. It's a idiotic thing to do, my sister."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna quirked an ear. "Is it now? Then I suppose Father and Mother are idiots?" She suspected that Bairn was one of those Soquili that cared about what others thought of him. She snorted mentally, a little exasperated with her brother. Mahiri probably killed his view of what others would think of him. Hania had taught her that trick; be brutally honest with a straight face, and no one can laugh at you. She sighed as she gently nuzzled her brother. "Bairn, tell me you're lying, and I'll believe you. Playing is not idiotic. At least, not when you do it once in a while. But, if you do it all the time, then I suppose that's where stupidity comes in..."

Hania yawned as he shook himself awake. Miakoda was still sleeping... poor girl. She probably wore herself out doing that work. Standing, he blinked as he realized that Aruna had, once again, disappeared on him. "That girl..." he grumbled, ears swerving back and forth as he tried to detect any sounds of his daughter. "I really should know her better by now. She's probably by the stream." Rolling his eyes, Hania trotted over to the streadbed, to find his daughter--and, surprisingly, his son--chatting quietly and amiably. "Well, well..." he murmured, thrilled. "Aruna! Bairn!" he called as he made his way over to them.

SummerRaven
"They are, yes. But to an extent. They are, after all our parents." Bairn saw the exasperation she felt towards him and frowned. He had no idea why he was acting like this, maybe it was because he was afraid of what Aruna might think of him. But why would that bother him? They are siblings. They share a bond like no one else. Sighing, the stallion nodded. "Alright, I played once. But only once. I swore to myself I'd never do it again." Bairn paused and was about to continue before he heard Hania's voice. "Father?" He called out, wanting to speak to him again.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna flicked an ear when she heard Hania, but didn't say anything. Instead, she told her brother, "Bairn. Do you think of me as such? I would never think less of you even if you played around like Mother! You're my brother, dearest one." She nuzzled him, and then finally acknowledged her father. "I figured you'd have still been asleep, Father. Good tidings." She smiled, and moved so that Hania could enter the small "circle".

Hania nearly frowned when he felt the small tension, but he quickly dismissed it. "Bairn! Good to see you! Good thing you're here, Aruna's caused me so much stress." He winked at his son, and then turned to his daughter. "Aruna," he said, his tone that of a mock reprimanding, "How many times have I told you to stop wandering off on your own!?" He shook his head, but smiled. "Anyway, good 'tidings' to both of you." Hania hated the formal tones that Aruna always spoke in, but it was the way she was, he supposed.

SummerRaven
Ashamed that he thought so, Bairn frowned and looked into his sister's golden brown eyes. "Sorry, Aruna. I'm just ashamed of myself, is all." He nuzzled her back, then turned to look at Hania as he approached them. "Hello father." The stallion said softly, grinning as he listened to his father speak to Aruna. "I'm terribly sorry, father." He whispered to him, "She gets out of hand sometimes, I realize. Maybe she just needs more then a brother, a sister, or parents. Maybe she needs a friend." Chuckling slightly when he finished speaking. Mocking Aruna like Hania just did, his voice got high pitched, "Good tidings, father. I hope your well. Mother hasn't stopped talking about you lately."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna glared at her brother and said with a mocking voice, "Forgive me for being so lonely. I haven't any friends, so I get out to try and find some, thus my troublemaking." She rolled her eyes at Hania. "Now you've started him, Father!" Aruna smiled at Bairn. "Never feel ashamed, brother. You have a proud heritage." She then said under her breath so that only Bairn could hear, "Father never shuts up about Mother, either."

Hania smirked at his daughter. "Indeed she is, my son. Maybe we should just keep her secluded, and then whichever male she sees first (doesn't include us) will be her mate?" He laughed aloud, but soon stopped because he knew that he might just push it with Aruna. "I have so missed your mother. I think of her dawn, noon, and night." He sighed dramatically. "What I wouldn't give to frolick and run, and play in the water with your beautious mother again."

SummerRaven
"You're not lonely, sis. You have father, me, mother and Artemis." He said jokingly, nuzzling Aruna softly. "You'll find someone perfect for you one day my dear." Bairn told her, now getting more serious. "My heritage? I guess you're right." The stallion couldn't help but still feel ashamed. "Ha! That's why they are perfect for eachother. I envy them sometimes." Turning to his father, he grinned. "Well, father...that's not a very good suggestion. What if that stallion happens to be..." He paused and looked at Aruna, "Rahu." Bairn suddently laughed loudly, which was something he did rarely and hide behind Hania in case Aruna was going to hurt him. "Mother is still sleeping, father. But I'm sure she'll come looking for me when she wakes." He made a sick face when Hania talked about her 'beauty'. "Eh, dad...it's mother your talking about!"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna stared. And stared. She was so stunned, she was practically gaping. "Ra... Ra... Ra... Ra... Ra..." she stuttered, unable to complete her thought process or sentence. "RAHU!?" She screeched, and backed away, nearly tripping over herself in her stunned state. "Why... Why would... Why would I... Why would... Why would he...!?" She continued gaping, all dignity lost as her brain seemed to shut down, and she just stared. And stared. And... stared.

Hania narrowed his eyes at both his children. "Who is this Rahu? Has he hurt you, Aruna? Where's this stallion?" Hania's protective side was kicking in. "Bairn, this stallion sounds like he might have harrassed your sister! I wish to have a... talk... with this stallion!" Hania snorted angrily, and stomped his foot, ignoring Aruna's stunned state as rage ran through his blood.

SummerRaven
Bairn couldn't help but laugh at his sister. She seemed so stunned by this, but the stallion had a gut feeling that they were meant to be together. Turning to Hania, he shook his head. "Rahu is not all that bad, father. I met him once, and he seemed alright. And he hasn't hurt Aruna, only just verbally harrassed her. She likes it too." He teased his sister, staring right back at her. "I wouldn't worry though, Aruna is a big girl. She can take care of herself. Isn't that right, sis?" He mocked her, having fun with this whole situation. In truth, he didn't exactly trust Rahu either, but it was best if Hania didn't worry.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna muttered angrily. "Rahu is NOT the one for me, brother. I'd've rather mated Wyvern!" She blurted, then her eyes widened and she blushed a bright red in embarrassment. "You didn't hear that! You didn't hear that!" She was at a loss. What could she do? She'd just lost her dignity because of what her brother had said. Of course, she didn't need Hania to worry, so she agreed with Bairn best she could. "I do NOT like him verbally harrassing me, but I admit to enjoying the verbal fights. He's not all that bad, but well... I still don't think he's the right one for me." She glared at her brother.

Hania snorted, and calmed. "If you both say so. However, if anything bad happens to you, Aruna, I declare Bairn to take care of you and help you. I doubt I'll be able to help you myself, since our bonded will be using me. I have a feeling that in the future, I will only be able to see you and your mother and then I'm off to somewhere with Miakoda." He walked over and nuzzled both his children. "And if you'll excuse me, I'm off to visit your mother." He turned and walked back into the forest.

SummerRaven
Bairn's ears perked up at the mention of Wyvern. They had talked about him earlier and although he had never met this Kalona, Bairn didn't trust him at all. "Really? Well, then my dear sister, I am sorry for assuming so." The brown male appologized, bowing slightly to Aruna. "Do you accept my apology?" Smiling at Hania, he nodded. "Alright, I will protect her." But he seemed rather taken back by something his father said. "Where is your bonded taking you? Will you be gone forever?" He shouted, as Hania walked to see Mahiri. Bairn didn't want his father to leave, and he was sure his mother would have a fit.

The fox mare was standing just outside her teepee, as her bonded Lalit was brushing her mane softly. The two of them had just woken up moments ago, and were enjoying the morning light. But Bairn was missing. Where is that silly son of mine? Mahiri thought to herself, laughing. But mostly, she missed her mate, Hania. It had been a while since the two of them saw eachother, and the mare wanted nothing more then to run and play with him. Where could be possibly be?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna nuzzled her brother. "Father won't be gone forever. It's just that, lately, something seems to be distressing Miakoda, and she's been out with Hania every other day. He'll be back. I think Miakoda's planning a short four-day trip, but Father will definitely be back. He won't abandon us. He loves us too much." Aruna had deep faith in her father, because he had never broken a promise to his family. "I accept. Any opinions or advise from my new acclaimed guardian?"

Hania trotted into view of Mahiri's home, and neighed a greeting as he approached. "Hiri! Hiri!" He called. It had been so long since he'd seen, smelled her scent, seen her beautiful face, her cheerfuless... and her name. He hadn't called her "Hiri" in a long, long time.

SummerRaven
"Well if it's not forever, I'm fine with whatever happens." The brown male said calmly, still worried for his mother. Even if he was gone for a day, she freaks out, it's hard living with Mahiri sometimes, Bairn thought. "Hmmm. Opinions? Advice" The stallion thought for a moment or two then just chuckled. "Well, for starters, do what your heart tells you!" He said jokingly, but quickly became serious. "Alright. Honestly, Aruna...you are different then most soquili's. If that stallion sees you the way father and I do, then he's special. Don't let what you want get away from you."

That voice! The fox mare's ears perked up excitedly. Hania! Her mate had come to see her! "Hania! Dear love!" She shouted, running up to him and nuzzling her mate softly. It was so wonderful to be around him again, after all this time. Nipping him playfully, she asked, "What have you been up to, Hania? Ooh! I've missed that nickname you've given me so much." Her petit body was just filled with joy and she couldn't wait to express it by her 'special' way.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna rolled her eyes at her brother. "Sure. Do what my heart tells me. I'll keep that in mind," She bit out sarcastically, and then became serious as well. "I doubt he sees me the way you and Father do. If anything, he just thinks it's fun to irritate me." She sighed ruefully as she pawed the ground thoughtfully. "I've met different stallions, but to tell you the truth, I really don't know who would be 'right' for me." She looked into her brother's deep brown eyes. "What stallion would like an impassive mare who bites out insults?"

Hania nuzzled his mate, thrilled to see her beautiful self. It had been too long, far too long... "Hiri! It's been far too long! I feel ever so guilty for not visiting! I have been unable to visit, dear one. Aruna sends her greetings, but I don't care about what she says right now!" He rubbed his head gently against his mate's long, graceful neck, and whispered, "Do you... want to go 'out' and 'play', dearest?" He was honestly ready to go out and play and frolick and all that whatnot with his mate. As he said... it had been far too long.

SummerRaven
"Good, that's always the best thing to do!" The stallion smirked at his sister playfully. "Well if he doesn't, then he's not the right stallion for you, love. You need to find someone who truely cares. Test it, perhaps if needed. Pretend to get hurt and see if anyone tries to protect you." Bairn shrugged his shoulders, knowing that wasn't the best thing to say, but he didn't exactly know what else there was. In the whole love department, Bairn was failing, he had no experience at all. Thinking about her question, the brown male sighed, "Maybe an impassive stallion who bits out insults? No, seriously? Maybe you'll find someone who will change you and you won't insult him."

Her happiness was getting stronger by the second, the mare just wanted to show her mate how much she loved him. "It's alright, love. If you and your bonded are busy, I understand. Besides, the longer you're gone the more exciting it is to see you!" Mahiri giggled happily, "Tell my daughter I miss her." The fox colored mare grinned, missing both of her daughters terribly. "Play? Yes! That sounds wonderful!" She laughed, relieved that he wanted to run around just as much as she did. "Catch me!" Mahiri yelled, and took off running from her mate. With the morning wind in her face and a bright smile, she ran towards the clearing.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna smirked at her brother. "Maybe I should take your idea. Of course, I'd like you to come along in case I do actually get hurt, because I wouldn't want Mother and Father to worry." She thought over what he told her. Neither she or her siblings had that much experience in love, and Hania had told her--once--that no one was very good at love, not even him. All she'd gotten from her father was, and she said this out loud, "All you can do is feel. Whatever feels right to you, hold on to it. If that feeling fades, then it was merely temporary. Try again, and if that feeling holds, you know that it was meant to be." She smiled at Bairn. "Father told me that, a long time ago, when I asked about the meaning of 'love', and he had to actually think for a second!"

Hania's happiness was also getting stronger and stronger. "Hey! I'll have you know I've practiced manuevering through the forest! I'll catch you for sure this time!" He called out to her, and started at a canter to chase after her, building his speed until he was at a full run, and into the clearing, as in the clearing, where they had once frolicked and played and just had fun with each other. "This place holds so many memories..." he said to himself, a wide grin on his face. "Hiri! I'm going to catch you, no matter what!"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna narrowed her eyes at the mention of their sister. "I haven't seen her since we first came out of our baskets. I... really don't know her, and I would love to... but... well, Bairn, why don't you tell me about Artemis? Father and I don't know too much about her. Actually, Father claims that he knows Swafi even better than he does Artemis, and he's sad about that." She frowned, and then her expression softened. "I believe both you and Father are right about... looking for the right one."

Hania chuckled. "Exactly! And I'm the king at running! And you're to be my queen!" He called after her, and picked up speed. "Catch you? Willingly, my love!" He called to her dramatically, and laughed long and loud as he pushed hard, nearly coming astride of her. "I told you I would keep up with you, fox-girl!" He was almost close enough to n** her lightly on her flank. "Or would you... rather I... push you into the water!?" he panted lightly. It was difficult to talk and run, sort of.

SummerRaven
"That's a shame. I'm not to familiar with our poor sister either...Lalit tells me that's because his sister Kaliska gave Artemis to another human who doesn't show herself a lot." Bairn sighed, wishing the whole family could be together always. He loved all of them dearly, and didn't want them to be spread apart. "I've met her once, maybe twice since that day. She's shy, quiet, adorably sweet, and wise if I may add. Plus she loves to run." The brown male chuckled, looking at Aruna with sad dark brown eyes. "Maybe Artemis and I will run into eachother and I can get her to see mother and father again." Nuzzling his sister softly, he spoke in a very quiet voice. "That's what we're here for."

Mahiri laughed at his words, "The king, eh? Alright!" She said happily, noticing that Hania had picked up a lot of speed and now was nearly running right next to her. "Hey! You caught up!" The mare giggled, "But not for long, and we can save the water for a later time!" She stopped suddently, hoping her mate wouldn't notice and keep running. Pausing for a moment, she took off in another direction.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna winced at her brother's sad eyes. He shouldn't have those eyes! "Bairn," she said quietly. "Have you met any Wind Soquili?" She decided a change in subject would help. She, herself, felt sadness at not knowing their sister well, but what could they do? Artemis lived with... another human... who they didn't see very often. She would have thought to have seen Artemis more, thinking the girl lived with her brother and mother and Swafi, but it wasn't so. Artemis seemed the most like both their parents, but she was still the opposite. That made Aruna smile inwardly. All of the offspring were completely different from their parents.

Hania couldn't stop fast enough when he noticed that Mahiri had suddenly changed her course of action. "That's not fair, Hiri!" he called jokingly, and managed to make a sharp turn, pausing for a moment to paw the ground in thought, then just as suddenly, he made a dash for a bush of flowers. Red Carnations. He smiled. Hania hoped Mahiri wouldn't figure out what he was up to, but while he let her run, he'd pick a few of these pretty flowers and give them to her.

SummerRaven
"Just one." Bairn said simply, glad that his sister had decided to change the subject. Talking about the sister no one in the family ever saw was heartbreaking, especially for the brown male who loved his family more then anything else in the world. Maybe one day while the stallion wandered around, he'd be able to find Artemis. Or maybe Kaliska would bring her over every once in a while. He wanted nothing more then to see her shinning beautiful face again. "He was interesting." A small chuckle escaped the stallion, as he looked at Aruna. After all, Kasida was the one who got Bairn to jump into the water. "Have you?"

"Be a man, silly!" The fox colored mare shouted at her mate, when he said it wasn't fair. It wasn't, that's for sure but Hania could take it! Giggling as she saw him turn in her direction, she switched hers again. Mahiri was so preoccupied with running away from Hania, she didn't notice that he wasn't following her anymore. She just kept right on running and laughing as she did so.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"I've met two," Aruna said, eyes shining. She loved learning about the Wind Soquili. "One I met when I was younger. She was very, very pretty. And the other, I met the other night. I don't sleep often at night, because I like watching the moon and stars and the sun rise. I met him... and... he was so... breathtaking." Aruna could never forget the first impression she'd gotten when she had first met Dread of Night. He had been so beautiful, with the silver moon riding his back, and the wind blowing around them, making him glow with the stars' light. She blushed suddenly as she realized she might have said something out loud. "So, ah... who did you meet?"

A man, huh? Hania mused, laughing silently. Mahiri didn't seem to notice that he'd stopped following her. With the red carnations in his mouth, he quickly trotted to a place where he knew Mahiri would eventually run into him. These flowers were his gift to her, although he might have to get Miakoda to get them cut right so that they'd look pretty in Mahiri's mane and tail. But first, would his mate like them?

SummerRaven
Bairn didn't know barely anything about the wind soquli, hardly anything at all. He didn't mind though, regular soquili were just as important in his eyes. "Breathtaking, eh? What is this stallion's name? He seems to have impressed you so much, I may have to meet him." The brown mare chuckled, nudging Aruna playfully. "Does someone have a crush?" He asked, with a very wide grin. It would be wonderful for her, to find someone who cared so much about her, maybe this certain wind soquili did. "I met Kasida. He seems very much like me...he's very interesting to talk too."

As she ran, the view of the lake came into view and she grinned. The water was one of her favorite places to go, but if she was with Hania anywhere was her favorite place. Stopping at the lake to get a small drink, Mahiri looked around curiously. Where had her mate gone? Did he stop just to tease her? "Oh Hania, dear. Where did you go?" The mare shouted playfully.

Aruna blushed harder, and she was having trouble fighting it down. "I... I don't have a crush! And you're correct: he did impress me quite a bit. And of course you must meet him! But it has to be at night. He hates the day." She nudged him back. "Kasida? Ah, he sounds like he's the one to have gotten you to play! That's good. What did you guys talk about?"

Hania smiled inwardly as he placed the flowers against Mahiri's flank. "I'm here, love, with a small little gift." He pulled back enough for her to turn and see the red carnations he was giving her. "For you, mate. I must give something to you so that you don't miss me too much! I worry for you." He did, and he hated it if he worried anyone he cared for.

SummerRaven
"Sorry, love. I mustn't assume something like that." Bairn said, in an overly calm voice, he was definatly teasing her this time. "Whatever you say." The stallion whispered quietly, watching as she blushed. He would love for his sister to find the perfect mate and have the happy ending their mother had, it would make him so happy to see her like that. "The night, eh? I don't usually go out in the night, but alas...for this stallion I just may." He chuckled, glancing at Aruna with an odd look. "Yes, he's the one. We talked about the water, pretty much."

"Ooh!" Mahiri giggled, taking the carnations in her mouth. "They're so pretty! Thanks, Hania." The mare told him softly, nuzzling her mate. "I wish I had something to give you...and no need to worry about me, I have Swafi and Bairn." She really did miss him all the time and longed to be by him every second, but that wasn't possible. The last thing she wanted though, was for Hania to get worried.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna fought to hide her blush, but she knew it was useless. Clearing her throat, she nodded, "Yes, um, don't assume anything." Aruna watched her brother out of the corner of her eye, and smiled. "The night, indeed. And yes, you're going to have to... I know how much you love sleeping." She pawed the ground in thought, and then said, "Kasida... I believe I've met him, if briefly. A lively fellow, that one. What's with the weird look, Bairn?" She looked at him, puzzled at the look he was giving her.

Hania smiled, laughing with glee. "You're very welcome, my mate!" He nuzzled her in return. "I still worry over you anyway. You don't have to give anything to me but yourself. And children, but that's up to you." Hania teased, nipping her lightly. If only he could stay with her every day, every night, every morning, every afternoon, every evening, every second of the day! But alas... they lived with humans, so lived apart. He felt sad that their family was split apart, but at least they were able to visit each other.
A Brief Meeting
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She huffed silently to herself. She had gotten quite moody lately... Well, she supposed, that was probably because she had been alone. Her father had managed to get himself into an accident, and Miakoda had taken him to visit a doctor, so she had been left to guard the teepee.

Aruna stomped a hoof impatiently. Not only was she worried about her father and her bonded, but she was by herself, and added to that, she was a mare. She could defend herself, yes, but to protect and defend at the same time? Hardly! Sighing, she settled and lay down, hoping she could hear some kind of noise in the silent forest.

cougarpawzsis2
The black stallion trotted through the forest happily. It was a fair day, and not many insects were out. Hok'ee stopped, thinking he heard a noise. His ears searched about the forest, trying to find a source. Chuckling to himself, he continued on his way, leaves crunching beneath his hooves. Quietly, he continues to trot around in search of food or company.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna stood suddenly as she heard the sound of hooves tramping about near her. An enemy? No, the sound was definitely that of trotting hooves. Maybe her father came back? No... that wasn't his scent in the air, and Miakoda's scent was nowhere to be found, either. This scent, however, was that of a stallion... "Hello?" she called out cautiously.

cougarpawzsis2
Hok'ee nickers, hearing the sound of a mare's voice. With ease, he glides through the woods, making his way to the other Soquili. "Why hello, there." Grinning, he looks her over and says, "May I have your name, Miss?" He gently hit his hoof off the ground.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She blinked when a black white-splotched stallion appeared, nickering. Oh no... if this stallion was one of those stallions... deciding to play along, she relaxed--slightly--and replied, "Greetings. I'm called Aruna. Who are you, and what brings you to my forest home?" She hoped that being polite would at least get the stallion to... not be so... overly... friendly. At least she hoped so.

cougarpawzsis2
Hok'ee grins as he replies, "Why, it's nice to meet you, Aruna. I'm Hok'ee." Nodding, he adds, "I was just looking for food when I heard you..." Nodding again, he looks about curiously.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"You're hungry? Then come with me, Hok'ee." She half-smiled at him--the most she ever did around others--and led him to a clearing filled with fresh grass and clear, cool water. "Here it is. A pleasure to meet you, by the way." She felt slightly guilty that she hadn't said the last sentence first, but otherwise, she hoped the stallion wasn't offended. He seemed safe enough, so she relaxed a bit more.

cougarpawzsis2
Nodding, the stallion smiled politely. "Thank you." Slowly, he grazed, the lucious grass satisfying his hunger. Hok'ee then headed for the stream. Before bending his his head to take a drink, he asks, "Just out of curiosity, what do you do around here for entertainment?"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Well," she began, wondering just what exactly he meant, "I don't often get company. I mostly just speak with them. But if you want, you can choose a game." She didn't particularly like playing, but it looked like this would be her first time... with someone new to her as well. What more could she say? She really didn't know. "I don't get to do much for entertainment, you see. I'm somewhat by myself unless I travel out."

cougarpawzsis2
Hok'ee nods before bending his head down for a drink. The black and white male then lifted his head up before speaking. "I see... I'm usually alone as well, unless, that is, I happen to stumble upon another Soquili or vice versa." He bent his head back down and began to sip the cool water, enjoying being with someone.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She nodded. "Yes." Seeing him eat and drink made her hungry and thirsty as well. She bent down to eat the sweet grass, nibbling softly and gently. She flicked her tail slightly, and then chewed and swallowed. She walked over to Hok'ee and bent down next to him to get a drink. She lifted her head afterwards, and stared at the treetops.
A Colorful Air
AnimeChickie
Standing in the darkness of the trees, a soquili barely visible, was scanning the clearing. The stallion snorted and continued to watch the activity. Aurorealis had recently arrived on this island from the far north, very far north. He wasn't quite sure where he was now but he had seen other soquili wandering around, but were they to be trusted?

Aurorealis had a somewhat laid-back personality and he was your typical stallion. His flowing midnight black mane fluttered in the wind as he stood there. He stretched his opaque-colored wings lazily as if he hadn't used them in ages, even though he had flown most of the way here. So who was this stranger?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She could only wander around for so long. As such, she was bored. She needed something to do. She didn't really feel up to showing her admiration in the winged Soquili, but that was until she noticed the black rainbowed tipped Wind stallion. How... odd. She hadn't expected to see another Wind Soquili after Nora. Nora had been the last one she saw.

He didn't seem to look like he'd trust anyone, although with the way he moved, he seemed to be that of the laid-back type. Oh great. She didn't think she'd meet up with a stallion who was this... well... lazy looking. Well, he was a Wind Soquili, so should she greet him or wait to see what he did? She voted for the latter.

AnimeChickie
After declaring that it was safe to emerge from the shadows, Aurorealis had noticed the mare out of the corner of his eye, but he made no move to go see her. He moved with a fluid gracefulness, and he couldn't help but stretch his mesmerizing wings once more.

Unfortunately for him, he had a habit of talking to himself, since he always seemed to be alone. "I wonder what this place has to offer..." He looked around quietly. The wind fluttered through his long mane and tail and he continued to walk through the tall grass.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She allowed an ear to flick toward him, but said nothing. She did, however, move closer to him. She wanted to observe him. He was definitely stunning, that was for sure. If she had anything to describe him, it would be mezmerizing.

"This place has little to offer, unless you do something about it," she said quietly, even thought the stallion probably didn't really want an answer. The wind today was quite strong, making her tail and braids flow gently around her. She watched him as he walked.

AnimeChickie
Turning his head, Aurorealis glanced at the mare skeptically. "I'm sure the area has more to offer then you say." The stallion had learned to appreciate beauty such as the area, it was clean and peaceful, exactly the way he liked it. Whether he would be bored was up to him.

Aurorealis tossed his mane lazily and continued to keep an eye on her. "Excuse me for asking but who are you?" He wasn't one for informalities, but he preferred to at least know the soquili's name before conversing, just for the sake of the conversation.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Perhaps it is just I, then," she replied, eyeing the stallion somewhat critically. "I am called Aruna, good sir. And what name shall I call you?" She was always polite... but the expression she opted for could only be seen in her eyes. Otherwise, she was quite impassive.

A boring person she was. Well, only when she was bored. "If the area has more to offer, I would say that the nature and climate here is perfect." She turned to stare at their surroundings. "And the peaceful, clean place has nothing to offer but comfort."

Something she didn't want at the moment, really. Comfort? She'd lived in it all her life. She wanted to experience the wild...

AnimeChickie
The stallion shrugged softly. "Aurorealis will do quite nicely. It's a pleasure to meet you Aruna." His voice was soft and gentle, yet stern at the same time. This mare was rather curious, he couldn't help but wonder what she did for fun around here or if she did anything at all.

"From what I've seen. Yes, it seems alright." Aurorealis paused, "How are you today?" This meeting had a rocky start, but she seemed alright. Aurorealis came from the north, very far north. He didn't know his parents and had lived alone for as long as he could remember.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She offered him one her few genuine smiles. "Aurorealis it is. A beautiful name, and the pleasure is returned." He was okay, it seemed. "I'm fine, thank you. And you?" She wondered if the stallion had met others like himself. Probably.

She melted her smile into nothing, so that her face was once again, impassive. She didn't like that she could not travel any further than this area, and she wished so dearly that she could fly, just like all of her winged friends.

AnimeChickie
Aurorealis didn't take compliments very well so he pretended to not here her comment. "Good to hear. I'm doing alright myself. Just wandering around a lot." The stallion shrugged once more, and it was surprising. Since he had arrived on this land, he hadn't smiled once but he could remember smiling a long time ago... Very odd. Maybe someday he would be able to smile genuinely again.

"So how long have you been around here?" He was curious if all the soquili had somehow traveled here too or if they were born here.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"...I was born here," she replied softly, eyes glinting. "Wandering around? I'm doing that as well..." Her eyes softened slightly, and she turned away so that he didn't see her eyes. She didn't like to express herself too often, but he, being a Wind Soquili, got to see them. She only ever expressed herself to those who had wings.

"I've been here all my life. I want to get away from this place... I long to... fly..." She stared longingly at the sky, but said nothing more. He would probably get the point, anyway. She didn't need to say more. If he wanted to know more, he would ask. They all did. And she would supply them with an answer.

AnimeChickie
"I see." Aurorealis felt a change in the atmosphere, it became a little more tense. Her attitude had changed rather quickly, and that startled him slightly but he didn't say anymore. He wasn't one to pry and if it was, it would be for good intentions.

He could feel an awkward silence coming on, unfortunately, Aurorealis wasn't exactly the best converser, especially in situations like this. He had no idea what to say or if he could say anything to make her feel better.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna blinked and turned to stare at the dark-rainbowed tipped stallion. "Don't mind me. I'm always like this." She hoped she hadn't made him uncomfortable. She wasn't used to dealing with stallions like him. All the ones she normally dealt with had smart-alec attitudes.

"If you want something to do, I suppose watching the sky is the best thing to do on this island, besides playing." She hated to play. Absolutely refused to do it when she was a filly. But her father made her, and so, she turned to watching the skies. Mostly to see if she could catch the soaring mares and stallions of the Wind and the Kalona.

AnimeChickie
Aurorealis stared at her with blank eyes, "It's alright..." The stallion pawed at the ground leaving a small ditch and looked back up. "I guess so, but the sky is everywhere. Even in my home land, the sky was the same. There must be something that makes this place unique." Perhaps what made this place unique was that it was inhabited with soquili...

The wind stallion glanced at the sun and then back at Aruna, "It's getting late, and I almost forgot that I had a previous engagement." He paused and prepared to jump into the sky towards the center of the forest, "Farewell, good Aruna. I hope our paths cross again." His feathery wings unfolded and he took off into the air, disappearing into the sky.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She watched him leave. "It was a pleasure speaking with you, Aurorealis..." She had to smile quietly. She hoped he figured out just what exactly made this place special. After all, if you had been alone, seeing all the different Soquili was what made this place a very special place indeed.
Reunited Under the Moon...
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
It was here she had last seen him. Why had she wandered back here again? This wasn't right. She didn't want to see him again. Of course not. No, she wasn't denying it! Okay, fine. So she did miss him. But only a little. Yes, that's all. Just a little. She just missed their arguements! No, she wasn't denying anything. She wasn't hiding, either... Stupid little voice of reason.

As she brooded, she stared up at the night sky. It was under a night like this that she had confessed. She hated that. She didn't meant to, nor had she ever wanted. He had never replied to her confession, so she knew he hated her. It seemed like he had liked her... at least, a little... but that was it. He didn't have any feelings for her. Nope. Whatever she had been thinking, she had been in over her mind. Actually, out of her mind. Making a sound similar to a growl, Aruna tried to take her mind off of him.

samus x
Having disapeared for quite a while.the moon light made his dark black coat glow as he accedently walked straight the place he had last seen Aruna for some odd reason while thinking. he had finaly pushed those thoughts about Aruna to the back of his head, and had almost forgotten about her. but subconcesly he had gone where he never whated to be. looking around he caught shight of Aruna and cringed. he thought he never would see that mare again but it seemed he was forced into seeign her again. staying cool and calm, he started to walk through ignoring the fact she was there on purpose. after what happened last time, he was not going to let it happened again.

Crowfoot
Astia frowned, and kept on stomping in the direction she was going. That Stallion!Oh, how he had irked her.She sighed, deciding it was time to cool off a bit.She couldn't be angry forever..But really! The smirk on his face, as if he was the ruler of everything. She stomped once more, before cooling off.Anger can do horrible things to you..She sighed again, and let her shoulders relax. It was night, and the worst of toaday's heat was gone.

She finally came back from her thoughts, only to realize where she was heading. She was a little ways off from two soquili, though she couldn't recognize who.Forgetting her brooding thoughts, she trotted over to them, smiling as best as she could.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna came back to earth suddenly when she noticed two other Soquili. One... her eyes widened. No. No, it couldn't be! Trying her best to not stare, she turned to look at the other Soquili. It was a mare... She could use a friend. Okay, the mare wasn't someone she knew, but she could use one. At the moment, her emotions were in turmoil, and she needed someone to rant at, or at least to listen.

samus x
Rahu stoped in his tracks as he heared another coming through. looking around he saw that blasted mare whom annoyed him just that day. giving a snort he walked towards both Aruna and Astia. not even caring his presence was puting Aruna's emotions in turmoil, he continued to go over to both. havign made his emotions the cold hearted like before, he was able to stay calm right then.

Crowfoot
Astia went up to the mare.At first she had seemed palin, bland, but when she came closer, she noticed her radiant, yet natural colors, and her sparkiling gold eyes. "Hi, Im Astia.but you can call me Ti.." she cut off for a second to look at the soquili joining them. Him!But..Oh, great, she was dead meat!Wide eyed with alarm, she trotted behind the kind looking mare. She continued in a whisper, all the while staring at the blood laced stallion, "But you can call me Tia.." she trailed off to glance at the stallion again.

"Do you..happen to know who that stallion is?" she asked in a whisper.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna nodded to the mare. She seemed slightly frightened. "Are you back to harrass my emotions, Rahu?" she asked the dark stallion coldly, though she did not look at him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Astia," she said to the mare, tone softening slightly. "You can call me Aruna. I have no nickname." She smiled slightly at Astia. The mare was beautiful. She herself was no beauty like the sun colored mare. She made up for that with her personality and her eyes, she hoped. "Aye..." she whispered back, eyes suddenly piercingly cold. "I know this stallion."

samus x
Rahu snorted. " well, well, well, if it isn't the weak mare that annoyed me earlyer today." he then looked at Aruna for a moment. " no i have not, i ment you never run into you dear Aruna." he said in a mocking tone of voice. flicking his tail, he pondered leaving.

Crowfoot
Tia looked atound and shuddered for a moment. She hated the night. Her bright colors stood out, and she liked to be blended. "It's a pleasure to meet you too." she whispered back, still staring at the stallion. "Is Rahu his name?" she asked carefully, seeing that they appanrently didn't have a very good relationship. "By the way," her whisper continued, "Aruna is a very pretty name." She glared at Rahu once more, and retorted, "Pfft, weak? You were the one who flinched in pain when I stomped your hoove." well, he hadn't exactly flinched, but, the slight pain in his eyes earlier that day was good enough for her.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna sighed, exasperated. "Rahu is his name." She then stared at Astia, then back to Rahu. "She... stomped on your hoof?" At this thought, Aruna barely managed to hold back her laughter. Rahu? Stomped on by a mare? One that he called weak? "Oh... my..." she finally breathed, golden eyes glinting with amusement. "And thank you, Tia." She smiled at the mare.

She loved the night, as she couldn't be seen as well, but it seemed Astia was uncomfortable. "Are you all right?" She then glanced back to Rahu. "Mock me as you wish, Rahu, but I never meant to see you again, either..." she said this softly, pain flashing for a split second through her eyes before either could see the pain. So she hoped. She turned and stared up at the stars, then back to the other two, especially Rahu, whom she glanced at every once in a while.

samus x
Rahu bared his teeth at the Astia. " i never flinched when you stomped on my hoof. there was barely any pain from such a weak stomp." snorting, he eyed Aruna for a moment and thought he saw somethign in her eyes. dismising it , he did not bother to say a thing to her after she spoke. having made his emotions cold hearted, he could care less.

Crowfoot
Tia dismissed Rahu with a giggle. He wasn't worth another comment. "Rahu..rather dark name..fits him though." She nodded, and turned back to Aruna. "me?Oh..I'm fine, just a little uncomfortable in all the dark.." She motioned to her brightly colored coat with her nose, and returned to watching the other two conversate.Or fight, she couldn't really tell. She shifted her banded legs, and looked up at the dark sky nervously.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna nodded. "I see... Do not worry, Astia," she said soothingly. "None will hurt us here. They're all to frightened of Rahu." Okay, yes, she had made a joke, but she was also being serious. It was true; Rahu gave off an aura that scared off even predators... he could very well be a Kalona for all they knew, he just didn't have the wings or the teeth or the horn or the hooves or... okay, fine, his personality belonged to a Kalona more so than it belonged to a regular Soquili. She could tell after their long departure that the dark stallion had officially closed off his heart. What a fool, she thought, silently pained. She needed to think of another stallion. She had already gotten over her other crush, at any rate.

samus x
Rahu only snorted and not even saying something at Aruna. cause it was true that nothing ever tryed to attack him, even at night. eyeing Aruna for a moment, he could always for some odd reason tell what emotion she was feeling. she seemed pained over something, then shook his head. no he was not again going to start caring about her. the for a odd reason he gave a smirk.

Crowfoot
"A-alright." well, that was one thing Rahu was good for.She rolled her eys silently. She continued to ignore him. She looked around quietly, realizing the tenseness in the air between the other two.She shifted her feet again. Why did she tend to get herself into situations like this?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"What?" Aruna somewhat snapped, when she noticed that Rahu kept looking at her oddly. Shrugging it off, she eyes Astia. "You still seem nervous. What's wrong?" She knew it probably wasn't the night atmosphere--which, by the way, she loved dearly--but it could still be that. Or maybe it was the tension? Mentally rolling her eyes, she couldn't take the silence or the tension anymore. "What're you smirking about now, you dolt?" she said dully, completely unexpressive and cold.

samus x
Rahu stoped smirking and eyed Aruna again. " nothing that conceres you dear Aruna. though i have to say, i can tell somethings wrong with you." he said in a calm, and cold which he normaly never used. usualy he had that smug, calm voice. he basily now was ignoring Astia, since he cared little what she did.

Crowfoot
Astia eyed both soquili. Why didn't she just run away? That was all she wanted to do.Go crawl away. The tension in the air seemed like static now, as if anything would blow up at any minute. "I'm fine.." she nodded and shuffled her hooves. How the hell did she get into this?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna grit her teeth, nearly biting her tongue to the point of where it bled afterwards. "Something wrong with me?" she asked in a dangerously sweet voice, though her eyes, like Rahu's, remained stone cold. She hoped Astia wasn't feeling uncomfortable because of this! The poor mare should probably run before things got hectic... "I'm sorry, my dearest Rahu, but you just might be reading me wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with me."

Her voice was still too sweet even for her taste, and she turned to try and make conversation with the bright golden mare. "That's good. What are your favorite things to do? Tell me about yourself." Her voice was slightly dull and monotoned, but it was for the benefit of keeping Rahu from suspecting that she did have a problem, and also so that she could keep believing that she didn't care about him. Yep. She hated him. Yep. And he hated her. Yep. That's all it was, really. Yep, that's all it was... Mentally banging her head against an imaginary tree trunk, Aruna tried to keep focused on only Astia.

samus x
Rahu so wanted to smirk at what Aruna said but stayed not showing any emotion." my dearest Rahu? thats a new one Aruna. though with how your acting i highly doubt nothing is wrong. you should know by now, i can see through you." flick his tail, he eyed Astia then Aruna. he wanted to on the inside to talk to Aruna, but then he knew it would break his cold heartedness he spent too long geting back. shaking his head, he would not let himself become soft again.

Crowfoot
Tia twitched slightly as she watched the convorsation go further.Shouldn't she run? Maybe that was the smart choice.. If she were to get caught in the middle of things.. Her thoughts were suddenly cut off by Aruna's voice. "Hmm? oh, yes..I like to swim, run..and stuff..I don't have alot of freinds..lets see.. Bairn, Tempest gale, and a few others.I just arrived a few days ago." She shook her head. When she was nervous, she tended to talk.alot. She mentally sewed up her mouth.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna's eyes definitely sharpened at the mention of her brother. "You've met my brother, Astia? Bairn never told me he met such a lovely mare." She shot Rahu a dirty look, though she was actually quite itching to talk with him privately. However, after all her hard-earned work of denying so much that she believed she hated him to the depths of her soul, she didn't want to go soft on him. Not ever again.

"It's not new. I'm just getting back at you because you keep calling me 'dear Aruna'... I didn't know you cared so much." She smirked right back at him. He hadn't stopped calling her that since they first met up tonight. In her mind, she wondered why it was that he did keep calling her that... The last time they met, he had never given any regards to her feelings from her confession... so maybe...?

samus x
Rahu almost chuckled but did not. " oh so you mocking me are you. seems like something you would not realy do, but then again you would mock me. oh and Aruna just so you know i meet your brother, a few days back and talked to him, then meet your mother. quite interesting talking to both." he ignored he last words, not even bothing to say somethign back to them. in truth he did not even know why he always said dear Aruna, when ever he talked to her. maybe it was because at the time, even now it was his feelings he had for her that made him say that. or maybe it was because he thought her differnt than all the other annoying weak mares.

Crowfoot
"Oh, yes," she said meekly, "Ive met him. He's very nice." She couldn't help but smile the teeniest bit at the thought of Bairn. He was so nice. She glared at Rahu. Why was he treating this mare so poorly?Duh.He was like that. She nuzzled Aruna on the shoulder, hoping his comment wouldn't effect her too much.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"You... You..." She was quivering. Whether it was because she was angry, or stunned, or just frustrated, even she couldn't tell. "Stay away from my mother!" she snapped, still quivering. It wasn't the way he talked to her that had her so "head over heels in love" (she supposed that was the best way to put it) but it was his voice and sound of it that had her tripping even over her words.

She nodded thankfully to Astia. "Th-Thank you..." she whispered, eyes suddenly downcast. She knew she acted differently with every Soquili she met, but what she didn't understand was... why couldn't she just stay indifferent to Rahu? Why? When she first met him, she had just been a filly. She had hated him then. She got older, and still hated him... and then found herself slowly falling. She decided she hated the emotion called love. All it did was cause pain.

"I'm glad my brother pleases you," she finally said aloud. "I miss him dearly. I haven't seen him lately at all. It's good to hear he finally has some sort of female company other than mine." She winked at Astia, though she knew they both could probably tell she was just being a fake at her emotions. She was never one quite to joke, anyway.

samus x
Rahu smirked now, he could not help it. " its not my fault, it was your brother who ahd me meet her. and so you know i acted very polite. oh and before i forget, your brother and mother would like to see you sometime.." oh he knew that what he said had made her blow up. knowing that, he had did it on purpose to actualy see what she would do.otaly now forgetin Astia, his focus was now on Aruna. he never did figure out why he had developed feelings for Aruna. but then because he had, he choose to try to get rid of them. and because of that, now he was able to be cold hearted. but he knew that if they talked alone, that he might go soft again. maybe even say something he did not want her to know.

Crowfoot
"No problem." she said, feeling a bit brighter at the thought of Bairn. "He's very very kind, and Im happy to have met him." She nodded. "Finally?" she blushed down to her hooves. Shifting her feet, she looked to the night sky once more, wishing to crawl away again as she was caught in the middle of things.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Smirking at Astia--the girl was quite amusing to tease a little--Aruna nodded. "Yes, finally. He doesn't seem to hang out with many mares that I know of. If he is, he's keeping that to himself..." She flicked an ear at Rahu, choosing to ignore him until he commented about her meeting them. Eyes widening, she nearly screeched aloud, but managed to calm down to just merely retort at him angrily. "Why you...!" she narrowed her eyes on him. This... buffoon was certainly enjoying taunting her, wasn't he!?

"You... You...!!" she couldn't think. Couldn't say anything, for that matter. What the hell was wrong with her? "St... Stop looking at me like that! Stop staring! Just... Just stay away from my mother! She doesn't need to know you... and if you ever meet my father, I swear, you better keep quiet! Or... or..." What was she going to do? She really couldn't think of anything to say. "As... tia..." she breathed shakily, shuddering violently. "Pl-Please... go and find my bro... brother. Please. I don't want you in the middle of this."

She was shaking hard now. She was angry, scared, and emotionally being attacked. She felt weighted over, like a hundred boulders had suddenly tumbled on top of her. "As... tia... Go... to my bro... ther... and... and stay there with him. Please." She didn't want Astia in the middle of this. It was time she talked with Rahu alone. And the only way to do that was to get Astia out of there, safe from Rahu. And her, too. She had a certain feeling about tonight...

samus x
Rahu calmly stood there with a smirk on his face. he had somewhat saw this coming. " my oh my Aruna your geting quite emotional." knowing full well this might end up like last time, but this time he was prepared for it. having now stoped smirking and stood there calm, he wondered what she would do next.

Crowfoot
"Wh-what?" She was scared. She had never seen another soquili like this before.. She nodded quickly to Aruna's requests, shaking. "O-ok Aruna.." shaking, she started to run off, glancing back at Aruna now and then, to make sure she was ok. Where was Bairn? It was dark and she could trip over ANYTHING.. so she kept her watch.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna closed her eyes, nearly grinding her teeth. "Astia," she called after the fleeing mare, "There should be soft path in the direction you're going. It'll lead you to my brother's teepee. You'll find him there, and my mother, too." She turned to Rahu, opening her eyes. "Sh... Shut up Rahu! It's all your fault I'm like this!" She was never like this. Why was she crying? Oh no. She shook her head, trying to keep the tears away.

She didn't cry. She never cried.

"Rahu, we have to talk. Now that Astia's gone, we need... to... talk..." she swallowed, feeling suddenly nervous. She tried her best to blink away her tears. She had never cried in her entire life... not even as a filly. She hated this stallion through and through... and she loved him too. Unfortunately. She really missed her father now. Hania was out getting treated because he'd gotten sick, and she hadn't been able to meet her brother and mother yet. ...Brother... She ached for her brother.

samus x
Rahu stood, calm and cold. though seeing Aruna cry pained him on the inside. " oh really its my fault?? and what makes you think im going to stand here and talk?" still standing there, he was going to try his best at keeping his own emotions from showing. though he had harden his heart, it still seemed Aruna had a hold of it.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna was panting now, trying to calm down. "You... You jerk!" she cried, continuing to cry. She couldn't stop. "Yes, it's your fault! I've never cried in my whole life! But you... You just made me cry..." Her voice lowered, eyes blinking from time to time. "...I've..." she sniffled, "...never cried... ever..."

samus x
Rahu snorted. " you explain to me how that is. and stop crying, it does no suit you." looking her in her eyes, he did not say anything else. he resited saying anything else, and awaited what else she would say. looking away, he looked up at the night sky to keep himself unemotional or atest he hoped.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna shuddered--in an actual good way--when Rahu stared into her eyes before he turned away. She blinked, sniffling slightly, trying to stop her crying. "You... you jerk... I know crying doesn't suit me. I'm saying it's your fault because I love you... I tried to stop it. Tried to get over it, really. But when you left from my first confession, you never said anything... so I clamped down on that... trying to... forget it... and then... I see you again..." She had finally dried her tears a little. But just a little.

samus x
Rahu stoped looking at the night sky and turned to look at her calmly." its not my fault you love me. i never tryed to make you do that." flicking his tail, he stood there wonding what else to say. " you know as well as i do that i never ment to even see you again. so dont blam me for that. it shows your weak to blam others. you want to know the reason i choose to walk away?"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"Oh, for..." she said angrily, still blinking. "So I'm a weak mare because I blame others? That's an excuse, Rahu, and as far as I'm concerned, we're what we are because we're made this way! None of us can be cold like the moon, you know!" Her mind was starting to wither dangerously. She was also treading dangerous ground as well.

...Very dangerous.

The brook of water she had held so tightly sealed had been broken, just recently mended somewhat, but now she feared it to break once more. "No, you didn't make me love you--I would never even try it!--but it seems even without meaning to I did anyway," she retorted, finally under control slightly. "What's your reason to walk away, then, O great Rahu?" She was sarcastically angry now, she noticed. Good.

samus x
Rahu snorted and rolled his eyes. " dont make me laugh Aruna. and sinc eyou really want to know, i'll tell you." he glared at her and snorted again." its because i dont deal with emotions or mares very well. i choose to hate, dispise and be cold hearted to mares because when i was a colt my own mother abandoned me." he was visably shaking a little and turned away from Aruna. all the bad memories he had keeped hidden away, came back. shaking his head with a snort, he tryed to keep himself under control. " if you knew what i been through, you know know why im so cold."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna knew he didn't want her sympathy or pity. "Well, take a look at reality, Rahu," she spat, although she felt she was being too harsh. "I can never hope to understand you. My father was like you, actually! He never had a mother or a father. He still turned out okay. But you? Why are you so... so... infuriating?!" Indeed, she felt sorry that his mother had abandoned him. But instead of living his life out the way he was now, why didn't he just try and find companionship in someone? Sheesh.

samus x
Rahu turn to her and snapped in anger." you will never understand, and i wont explain myself to you." he already had said too much in saying something about himself." i have already told you too much anyways. if you can not understand, well then i have done a good job keeping others from knowing me." snorting he flicked his tail, and started to walk away. he was through with talking.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna snorted. "I... I hate you, Rahu!" She screamed at him, and huffing, turned away. She needed her brother. And her mother. And her father. Hell, she even wanted her sister. She wanted others who cared for her. Why did she love Rahu again? Oh, she didn't know. But now... Now... she hated him. Hated him to the core of her being. He had made her cry. He pained her her heart with his own heartless words, and he refused to allow anyone to try and understand him. He was... infuriating, impossible... Oh, she hated him. Her golden eyes flash angrily. "Fine. We're done talking, Rahu. Do as you please," she snapped, and then ran back to her home. She was already having a tough time enough.

samus x
Rahu snorted at her words and keep walking. did not even bother to look back. " yeah well i actualy care, even if i dont show it." he whispered to himself. gaving a sight as he walk back towards the stream. it pained him even more to have done ,what he had done. but even if he wanted to, he could not change who he was, or what happened.
Catastrophe Meets Dawn... (Calamity Meets Aruna)
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She decided that her obsession with Wind Soquili also bordered on a slight fascination with the Kalona Soquili. They, too, had wings (not as majestic as the Wind), but they could fly. Something that Aruna longed for, more than for a mate. She wished to have wings so dearly, often times she ran hard and long just to see if she could sprout wings and soar the skies like the Wind and the Kalona.

She felt all right with the Kalona (having met one as a child and grew up with him) but afterwards, she had not seen Wyvern in a long time, therefore pushed the Kalonas to the back of her mind. Now that she was alone with nothing else to think of, the Kalona Soquili came unbidden into her thoughts. Her mind was a whirl of raging thoughts, bouncing back and forth as she thought long and hard on the Kalona.

Would she ever meet one again? She had only ever met one Kalona (she was quite happy to know several Wind, in fact) and would love to know more about the Kalona. In their own way, they, too, were majestic and stunning. She, sometimes, awed them, but never feared. No. She was never taught to fear, she fear she did not. She smirked. That was quite an excellent gain from her father, indeed...

Quiddie!
Calamity was the unnervingly-cold, blindingly-vicious little colt his mother raised him to be thusfar, and he was nothing if not proud of those traits. Freed from his basket for only a few days, he'd already managed to have several confrontations with other soquili (both kids and adults). Not to mention the fond recollection of his dispatching of a particularly troublesome human. These events had served to steel his nerves, and with each passing day Calamity found less and less to fear in the world.

On one of his many journeys through the lands occupied by the soquili, Calamity decided to try and seek out another Kalona other than his family. After a few unlucky hours of finding any other soul (let alone a Kalona), he stumbled across a pretty earth-colored soquili that seemed to be caught up in her own thoughts.

Masking his relief at simply finding another soquili, Cal stomped obnoxiously across the clearing to make her notice him approaching.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna twitched her ears in irritation when the young colt starting stomping his hooves. She had noticed him earlier when his scent hit her nose, but she hadn't yet turned to see him. She turned now to show him that she acknowledged him, and narrowed her eyes questioningly at him. He was actually one of the prettier Kalona she'd seen (and that was saying something, considering Wyvern was nearly pitch black!) and he looked to be a true Kalona...

"Yes?" she asked, her tone coming out slightly impatiently. Schooling her facial expression, she steeled her nerves for an oncoming verbal--maybe physical--fight. "What do you want, colt of the Kalona Soquili? Come to hamper me with vicious words?" She mentally tried to reign in her excitement. A Kalona! She hadn't exactly thought to ever meet another one, but she most definitely was surprised to see that her thoughts seemed to have brought one to her. Now, if she could just gather her wits... She hadn't had a good verbal fight in a while (not since... that night...) and she hoped this Kalona was as good as Wyvern in verbal fights.

Quiddie!
Calamity was temporarily blindsided by the mare's words. He cocked his head to the side and blinked, wondering how on earth she knew enough about him to be on the defensive. He opened his mouth, hesitated, and shut it again. Had he actually been thunderstruck out of the gate? No. No freaking way.

"Who said I was even looking for you?" He glanced around him at all the empty, soquili-less space that hindered his argument. He wrinkled his nose and stuck up his chin anyhow. "Why are you by yourself anyway, you old nag? Senile and lost?"

It was a bit oddly harsh, even for him. But Cal didn't take well to being put in his place so thoroughly, and so quickly as well. Reveling in the cheap shot he made, the little colts' confidence bloomed once more.

He trotted nochalantly over to the mare and circled her appraisingly. She was plain enough, but the keen sharpness of her eyes were undeniable, and he made a mental note to avoid them when possible. She was clever, moreso than quite a few of the other soquili he'd encountered so far. And as much as that intrigued him and drew him toward her, his pride was reminding him that it would be his responsibility first to make sure she understood that he was better than her.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
For the first time in a while, Aruna smiled. "Forgive me for being so rude. I suppose I'm a little surprised to see one so great as you even acknowledge my presence." Okay, so she was being sugary with him, but that was fine. In a way, this young colt actually seemed--dare she say it?--kinder than Wyvern had been.

"I never said you were looking for me, by the way. Senile? Lost? Old nag? Quite a description. Should I add more? Stupid? Idiotic? Plain? I've heard it all, little colt of the Kalona, because you're not the first. Be happy to be the second I've met, however, because I've been... shall I say... dying?... to meet another of your kind."

She could tell he had been slightly stunned when she had first spoken with him. She smirked mentally. Perfect. Now, to add a bit more fuel to the fire. "Oh, yes, I forgot, O my superior being, that I'm not one to bow down so quickly to those who I--I will admit, are quite more majestic--than I."

She had to put it down to the colt though; he knew what he was doing, and she knew he'd grow to be a handsome--albeit, rude, harsh, possibly evil--Kalona stallion. Of course, that only depended on whether the young cold actually met her tastes. So far, he seemed to be making it. Maybe. Aruna found herself wondering why she enjoyed the company of so many smart-mouth Soquilis.

Probably... because she loved to argue. Heh. She was such... a loser. Oh well.

Quiddie!
This wasn't going anywhere near how he'd intented it to be. Perhaps it was because he wasn't the first of his kind she'd known, but her witty double speak was having more than it's intended effect on the little colt; he was at his wit's end trying to come up with some sort of retort and keeping himself from bursting into frustrated tears. She a horrible, horrible old goat, and he hated her through and through.

His brow was knitted tight enough to cause a headache in anyone that simply saw him, he could not think to say anything at all. In her delicate interplay between saccharined compliment and insult, she had dismantled the only means of verbal assault he'd known. With her, he would have to try harder.

He stepped back and clenched his jaw. "So it seems the only thing left for me to ask is why you seem so obssessed with my kind? Other than our obvious looks...there's got to be a reason. Is it that a plain and wholly unattractive mule like yourself wishes to be special and unique? Because I certainly couldn't pick you out of a crowd...what is your name?"

He flicked his tail hopefully. He was genuinely curious who this soquili could be. He'd be sure to ask his mother the moment he got home. Especially if she knew others like him too!

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna's eyes softened slightly at the sight of the colt furrowing his brow to try and come up with a retort. "I'm sorry," she said sincerely, "I see I may have been too harsh. Or shall I show you a lesson all Kalona need to know?" She hoped that with the way she spoke with him, he most definitely would be an awesome Kalona.

"An old, plain, unattractive mule as I am? Yes, I wish to be special and unique as you are. To fly and be free, to be able to express things as you do." She probably sounded like a fool to the poor dear. But that was fine; she didn't mind at all. "I'm Aruna, colt of the proud Kalona. Your name, I'm sure, will be magnificent...

"I do hope to see you when you become an adult." She smiled at him--a genuine smile--and her golden eyes sharpened. "For then, I would love to have a good arguement with you." She hoped this colt didn't belong to whom she figured he might belong to. She had heard rumors of two Kalona mating, and those two had been heard of to be some of the most vicious of their kind...

Quiddie!
Absolutely infuriating. Now she was being genuinely nice to him? She pitied him. Poor little colt, too stupid to even speak to like a normal soquili. It only served to harden his heart against her even further. He lowered his head, his dour mood darkening further. "My name is Calamity, son of Atrocity and Rhiana and brother to Misery. And if you value your own life, mare, never try to cajole me again."

Every muscle in his back and neck tensed up, and his wings arched gracefully off his shoulders. "You're clever, I'll give you that. But give me time and I'll glady until and quiet that sharp and limber tongue of yours."

He dared to look into her fluid golden gaze. It was now a mixture of several elements: some he could identify, and others he would not understand until he was much farther along in age. "Why do you seek a fight, Aruna?"

He realized privately that this was the first time he'd ever addressed another soquili by name.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna's genuine smile turned cold, before melting into a smirk. "Ah. You truly fit your father and mother, even as I do not know them. I've merely heard rumors. And... I do not value my life." She figured Calamity was riled up quite a bit now. How nice. "If you think I pity you, I do not. You're intelligent enough.

"More so, actually, than most I've met." She fell silent a moment, and then spoke again. "I seek a fight? I suppose I do. Maybe I just wish to die by someone majestic..." she hinted slightly, but in truth, she wanted someone who she could take comfort in, even if they yelled at her. Rahu... Rahu, she thought with an angry mental snarl, did not deserve her in the least.

Actually, this was the first time another male had actually been downright honest with her. Calamity could see right through her, just like she could with him. How... odd. She stared at him a bit longer, narrowing her eyes thoughtfully. Yes... he'd be magnificent and handsome as an adult. She herself wasn't that old, either... She shook her head. What was she thinking? She truly was getting senile... but not old. Never old.

Quiddie!
"Is it my turn to say something heartfelt and hopeful? There's plenty to live for? You have to look to see the beauty of life...blah blah blah? Well it's not going to happen, I assure you."

He spoke frankly and sternly at the older soquili, as though they were both of the same age and standing. "If you don't see the value in your own life, why would you expect anyone else to?"

He snorted and kicked idly at the ground. "Despair doesn't suit you, mare."

That's it, that was as close to passing for a compliment as he would allow himself today or any other day. He shut down mentally, closing himself off to being anything more than the rude little child he'd entered the clearing as. "Silly ninny of a mare...wants to jump off a cliff for crying out loud."

He narrowed his eyes and flapped his wings mockingly. "Shame you wouldn't have a pair of these once you came to your senses halfway down the cliff!"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
She smirked. "Too bad there isn't a cliff anywhere near here. Are you an idiot? Of course I value my life! Otherwise, I wouldn't get to meet such a beautiful creature as you are. If I cannot see my obsessions, then I have no life, in my own way." She had to silently congradulate the young colt. He was learning to compliment with hidden insult. Good. "Ninny? Strange. I've yet to have been called that. Why, thank you!" A small bit of sarcasm, but that was okay.

"Ah, yes..." her eyes sparkled and glittered slightly at the sight of his wings. "Quite a shame, indeed. If only I had wings... I most like could soar and rule the skies..." Some sarcasm there, as well. "But do you expect me to be such a fool to actually try such a deed? Perhaps, should I get desperate enough. Maybe I might just sprout wings." She laughed then, a cold laugh, a laugh that could better match one of his kind. Her gold eyes were stone cold as she stared at the sky.

Quiddie!
"You are absolutely stark-raving mad, d'you know that? I hear what they say about my mother. They say she's insane. But clearly they haven't met you. What are you blathering about?"

He knew she was trying to have some sort of deep, thoughtful moment, but he had no interest in it, and it made her sound touched in the head.

"Why are you obessed with my kind, anyway? Or was it just the one, and now you're trying to project him onto me?" It was something atartlingly adept for him to say, and personal to the point of near-sincerity. He had to fix it.

"Did he dump you or something? Because I would completely understand why he did."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
"You're quite perceptive for a little one." She glowered at him. "The stallion I talk of has moved on, as well as I. We both happen to hate each other." She spat out the words heatedly, eyes glowing with hatred at the mention of the stallion she was thinking of.

"I'm obsessed with your kind merely because your kind can fly free." It was true. If the winged ones ever so wished, they could fly away and never return. "I'm not crazy, by the way. I just happen to have strange thoughts."

Okay, she was joking again, but she wasn't crazy at all. This Kalona colt was quite amusing, to say the least. "Touche, young Calamity. You're really quite remarkable."

Quiddie!
"Enough of your compliments, mare. I get it. You're bizarre, and I'm remarkable. There is very little in the way of discoveries being made today. I already knew I was unique and gifted...and I work on the assumption that pretty much everyone else I meet is crazy or completely unworthy of my attention. You happen to fit the bill of the former. Be pleased. If nothing else I find you interesting."

Cal began to pace in place anxiously. He was still a foal, and had far outreached the attention span held by children of his age. He sighed and shook his mane. "But not anymore...right now at least. I'm going to go, but I don't think this is the last time we'll meet. Not by a long shot. I'll keep my eye on the cliffs, in case you change your mind, you silly mare. Goddbye."

He preened his wings and allowed a small tic to pull a muscle in the side of his jaw just enough to give Aruna the ghost of a smile. He nodded and without waiting for another word trotted off in the opposite direction. He didn't quite know what to think of her. He'd reserve judgement of the slightly different mare for another meeting, a first for the normally rash Kalona.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Aruna watched as he trotted away, obviously hoping he appeared dignified. Well, until he was a full-grown stallion, he merely looked like a child stalking off to sulk. At least in her eyes. "Farewell, then, young Calamity. Until we meet again."

And... was the a smile she saw? Well, it sort of was. Kalona didn't smile, they smirked. But whatever. "I'm glad I meet your idea of worthlessness," she muttered sarcastically under her breath. "Silly? Will he always call me that? Tch."

She ambled away from the cliffs, for surely, it was late, and she had to return to her human's home where she stayed. Her father would worry. For a Kalona, Calamity was quite different. In a way, she had to put him above the other Kalonas... Hmph. He got a real compliment from her.

She'd never tell him that. She hoped.
samus x
Raum's shoulder hurt like hell at the moment as wandered alone after having a run in with that blasted mare. he growled at himself for allowing her to catch him off gaurd, pin him and even land a blow to his shoulder. shaking his head to get his annoyign braids out of his face, he had a angered look on his face as he made his way slowly. oh he hoped he would not run into any of his siblings or even his mother or father so that they wouldn't know what happened. of couse he felt his siblings would make fun, his father would be pissed he got himself beaten and his mother well he knew she would be mad at him for geting into a fight with some mare. grumbling, he snorted and made his way to the stream not far ahead.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Unfortunately for Raum, his older brother Shizuka Tsuyoi was at said stream, drinking and merely enjoying his solitude. Shizuka had not seen any of his family besides his mother, Aruna, but even then he saw her rarely. She was always off somewhere, being an active mare. He swished his tail gently from time to time, making a graceful flick of his mane as he tossed it over his shoulders, and moving with a quick, firm, grace as he looked up to check his surroundings. One never knew when one would be attacked, and Shizuka always made it a point to make sure he was never surprised. Well, not that he'd seen any Soquili for days now; he didn't even have the company of a dumb-witted pretty mare to make fun of and flirt with! Tsuyoi was somewhat annoyed with this, but otherwise in a fairly good mood. Ironically, he was wondering what his dearest little brother Raum was up to, and he amused himself by thinking that Raum was probably dropping mares here and there like crazy being as handsome as he, Shizuka Tsuyoi, was. Of course, Shizuka was better; so much more sexier, but hey, of course he would be!

samus x
it wouldn't be hard to hear Raum coming as he growled and grumbled as he walked along. his moment wasn't as graceful or smooth as usual as he had his shoulder smacked with a hoof by the damnable mare from earlyer that day. flicking his tail as he went, he been anti social so he been avoiding even his family specialy right now for geting his a** handed to him. giving a last growl, he didn't expect to see his brother as he came to the stream. great just what he needed right then. muttering a few choice words to himself, he tryed to act as if his shoulder wasn't bugging and that nothing was wrong. if his brother watched him carefully it wouldn't be hard to notice to few bite marks adn the odd way he was now walking.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
One of the great sons of Rahu looked up to find his brother, ironically, coming up. He smiled his usual smirk of knowingness and arrogance as he trudged towards Raum. "Why hello, my dear brother! How are you today?" Tsuyoi wasn't stupid not to notice that Raum was walking strangely, but he ignored it pointedly to talk for later. He was only interested, at the moment, in wondering what his brother had been up to. Next to his parents, Shizuka was very close with Raum, who, although younger, he considered his twin brother, despite how different--yet the same--they both were. He mentally frowned, however, when his sharp dark brown eyes noticed a few bite marks along his brother's shoulder. What!? That's not fair! So Raum got some and I still haven't gotten any? What's up with this!? thought the perverted stallion.

samus x
Raum eyed his older brother and snorted at him. " i been better." flickign his ears back, he wondered if his brother noticed the markers he had from geting bitten to hell and back by the blasted mare and his shoulder problem. " what about you?" for now he would act as if there was nothing up and that he hadn't gotten into a fight and got his a** handed to him. eyeing his brother, he wondered what he was thinking if he noticed the marks. if he had known what his brother was thinkign he would have laughed in his face and told him off for even thinking that.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He eyed his brother. "Been better? How so?" He tossed his mane again, getting a little annoyed with its length as he flicked his tail with slight impatience. Finally, not being able to stand it anymore, he asked, "All right, who's the lucky mare that you knocked up? I bet she was gorgeous if you got her that bad!" Boy, was he way off course thinking that Raum had had a good time! Not that Shizuka knew. For, if he did, he'd have been furious to the point of outrage and would have gone on a rampage in search of the mare who had decided to hurt his brother. He didn't care if Raum didn't want him involved in his fights, but as the oldest, and obviously he loved his family although he never showed it, it was what Tsuyoi would do.

samus x
Raum snarlled at his brother and yelled in outrage." WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING BROTHER SAYING THAT!" he growled and shook his head." i can't beleive you would think that. would i say i been better if i had done what your thinking." it was clear Raum was pissed that his brother would think he would even do such a thing when he avoid mares at all cost so he wouldn't have to deal with them as he had bad experiances with them as a colt. " you really freakn don't know me if you where thinking that brother." shaking his head, he took a deep breath to calm himself. glaring at his brother, he didn't need or want him fighting his fights so he wasn't goign to say what happened unless he was forced. " so what the hell made you think that in the first place? i would love to know what did."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Shizuka, if he had eyebrows, would have raised an eyebrow at Raum's greaty violent reaction. He had mostly been joking, but seeing that Raum was quite serious, he dropped his playful teasing. Eyes narrowing, he spoke with a deadly appeal. "All right. Who hurt you? I was only jesting with you earlier, dear brother, but your reaction speaks differently." Raum being a hot-head also indicated to Tsuyoi that he had gotten into a major fight that totally bummed Raum out. Meaning, of course, his a** was handed to him. Now, that rarely happened except when Raum was with either him or their father, Rahu, but they never really got into fights and well... "Why I thought that in the first place was because I am feeling deprived of a lovely mare," was his oh so ingenious reply. But of course it was genius!

samus x
" like im gonna tell you who. so you can go and fight my own battles for me? its not happening brother, i can take care of myself and fight for myself." Raum snorted and still had a glare on his face that ment he was dead serious. " i wont be caught off guard again like i had and i wil pay them a little visit soon enough to get pay back. no one messes with me and gets away so lightly." rolling his eyes, he shook his head. "whatever brother but if you keep messing with mares just you wait you will end up in a situation you wont like. i avoid mares because they are idoits and nothing but trouble."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He calmed himself as best his could, despite him wanting to snap at Raum for his attitude. Tsuyoi tried not to growl, though his eyes narrowed to mere slits, showing his true anger. Though he was not a hot-head like Raum, Shizuka was known to have strong anger tantrums and usually the other person or Soquili on the receiving end never got away with a little scratch. If he got angry enough, Shizuka was a hard stallion to stop; he wasn't powerful for nothing, despite how he despised getting into physical fights. Once he was in the mood, however, everyone had better watch out for a wild stallion. "You got caught off guard?" he tried not to sneer; he was extremely upset, obviously. "Raum! I know you enjoy fighting so you being caught off guard is a new one. Mares are worth the trouble, too, by the way."

samus x
Raum's eyes where narrowed and he knew how his brother was if he was pushed into being angery. he himself was simular when angered with his hot headed temper but was quicker and faster to go head to head into a fight. the mare he been in a fight with was lucky he had left before his temper had taken control because even with a bad shoulder he would have continued the fight til one of them where not standing. once his temper was in control the only ones to beable to control him where his brother or father. " it's easy to be taken off guard when your walking away and thinkign about tryign to catch the other off guard when the other launchs themselfs on top of you and knocking you down." snorting and flickign his ears back, this was wh he had wanted to avoid running into any of his family after having his a** handed to him. " you couldn't even begin to convince me they are. you know for a fact my opinion on them is this way because fo they way they act towards me. i have yet to find even one who hasn't ether attacked, or insulted me to where i was going to attack."

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
Although Raum was quicker to head straight into a fight--mostly due to his hot temper--he and Shizuka were not that much different in terms of how they dealt with things. The only difference, really, was that Shizuka took to solving his problems his mother's way, rather than his father's way. He grew up with his father around of course, but he had stayed with his mother. Thus, it made him wonder why Raum hadn't continued his "fight" despite how his shoulder was now dislocated. He would need to get that fixed up before he'd end up limping, Tsuyoi observed. "Ah, I suppose so," he agreed in an amused way--well, somewhat amused, but more irritated. He disliked seeing any of his close family hurt, no matter if he and his siblings were always arguing. That was how they showed they loved each other; there was affection, but the Soquili they were born from, they had learned to hide many of their emotions. He rolled his eyes at Raum's heated reply about mares. "I'm assuming when we were little you ran into a lot of fillies and mares who all decided it was interesting to attack you or insult you. Don't forget, Raum; being Rahu's children, we have our curse, and our gift." He hoped his brother knew what he meant by that.

samus x
yes indeed they where very simular but had their small differences though some might say they where big ones. even though Raum had mostly stayed with his mother, he had gone out of his way as a colt to follow around his father since he idolized him since well Rahu is his father of course dispite the fact he was not around all the time. the only reason he had not pushed himself past his limits in the fight was he was able to control himself right until she had launched herself on him. put since she had him pinned he was forced into doing as she wanted which still pissed him off and was still bitter about it. oh he saw how his brother was both irritated and amused with what had happened to him. yes there was definatly hardly any affection but dispite that and arguing they where rather close. " you definatly catch on quick as to why i hate mares." eyeing his brother, Raum was by no means stupid. actualy he was rather smart and quick but what his brother said caught him a bit off guard, so it took him a moment to form a responce to it. " you should be more straight forward. i hate it when you always seem to try and confuse me with how you hint to what you truely mean but i get what you mean." shakin his head, sometimes he truely wondered.

PhoenixGuardianMiakzuki
Like his brother, Shizuka had often taken the time to get up and follow his father around, but as the oldest, he preferred to stay with his mother despite the fact he idolized his father as much as Raum did. Too bad he didn't know what had happened to Raum as he eyed the casualties of the fight on his baby brother. "Well, of course I would," he said, tossing his mane with the air of someone who was, of course, superior, but he was just joking. "More straight forward? Well, I'll tell you our curse, and then I'll tell you why it's a gift. Our curse is to encounter all kinds of Soquili who will want to bother us--like Father, who found many mares attracted to him. You probably have that dangerous feel to you and many females are attracted to those who are sexy and dangerous." He tried not to laugh, but it was true; he'd seen it happen many times. ...Just not to himself yet, unfortunately. Maybe he should be more like his brother... "Our gift is that we come from a strong lineage and many Soquili will acknowledge our power; our strength. Be proud of that fact," he said sternly, but smiled nonetheless. He was glad his brother understood him, even though at times he wasn't quite so straight forward.

samus x
Raum no longer followed Rahu around though and kept to himself exsactly how Rahu did and it was somethign their sister did too after they had grown and only visited from time to time. oh he was not to get into what happened to him again and was not going to speak of it again or he might start a fight. snorting and shaking his head, he knew that superior act was only a joke so he let it slip for now. " that may be so but i have a different idea of what our curse is brother." oh his brother was right it seemed that his hot headed tempter was only a joke and when on found it funny en he was mad they pushed him. " i would let you kill me here and now if i wasn't proud of our lineage. dispite the fact our father has disapeared.." oh he would have said more if a cruel laughter hadn't broken out right then but it was from a voice both him and his brother knew.

Rahu had actualy be wandering by when he heard the voices of his sons. figuring to see what they where up to he had arrived right as Raum had spoken his last sentice which had caused his sudden laughter. oh he may have heavy foot steps but he seemed to have been able to sneek up on the two who where so into conversation. " Well, Well Well, if i had disapeared would i have seemed to have popped out of now where just now?" smriking now, he stepped into veiw and eyed both his sons. it wasn't hard for him to notice the marks Raum had and the way he kept more weight on the other leg but for now he waited for a responce from both.

Rarenia was not one for bees. And she had just happened to wander in to a small clearing that when she walked one step in, CRUNCH! Right foot directly into a ground hive.

She whinnied in frustration as she yanked her foot out, then noticed the mass amounts of buzzing. Then it started, pain, stabbing pain, she let out a weird noise and dashed out of the clearing, still getting stung as she ran away.

She reached a small pond soon after being attacked and looked at her reflection. It wasn't that bad, her face looked alright, just a few bumps along her back and butt. The fox will laugh his rear off at me about this, I'll never hear the end of it! She thought to herself.

Dumb, dumb bees. The pink mare sighed and layed down, feeling too tired and sore to stand for very long.

Nearby around the same area where Rarenia lay on the pond shore, stood Shizuka Tsuyoi, proud, arrogant, sadistic stallion, son of Rahu, enjoying the scenic quietness as he relaxed his taut muscles, the tension from the incident with his younger brother Raum the other day. That is, of course, until he noticed the oh so gorgeous and seriously giving off the sex hormones his dark, mischievous eyes laid eyes on.

She looked half annoyed, and half in pain, but he didn't care as he strolled gracefully and confidently towards her. What luck! Finally, a gorgeous, beautiful mare worth his time! Pulling on his trademark, sexy smirk, he silently congratulated himself for a job well done on discovering such a sexy mare. Coming up right next to her, he winked at her cheerfully and said, "Hello, Miss! Nice day out!" Let's play 'catch-the-sexy-mare'... He really needed to learn to control his hormones... but whatever.

ShadowofPhantoms
Rarenia took a few moments ot figure out what she was seeing. This stallion was talking to her! She blinked a few times and laughed. "Nice day? I guess. I'm sure the bees think so as well." she said somewhat sarcastically.

With a flip of her tail she shook her head to clear it a bit. There was something about this stallion, something powerful. She couldn't figure out what though.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He almost frowned at the way the mare gave him no more of a reaction other than to say something sarcastically. Giving no notice to how she spoke, he curled his lips into what he hoped was a more sexy kind of smirk. "Well, if you feel such a problem with the bees... oh." It was when he saw that the mare had bee stings all over her body--thank goodness none were on her face--but he saw them. Being the son of Aruna, he did have some compassion... some, being the key word.

He looked around, eyes roving around, some small concern in his eyes as his eyes landed on a particular herb. Stepping towards it, he wrenched the thing from the earth and proceeded back towards the mare, and put it down in front of her. "This herb should ease the bee stings. My mother showed this to me when I ran right into beehive when I was younger." An experience he would never forget; the bees were a formidable foe indeed. Realizing what he had just done, he mentally shook himself. He was supposed to be flirting, not help taking care of her!

He flicked his tail as he backed up a good number of steps so he wasn't completely having both their personal spaces being invaded... and then it dawned on him as he stared at her horn, that he was talking to a unicorn. Dammit... he thought, not liking the situation at all. A pure creature like that of a unicorn was probably part of what was causing him to be so... nice. He had enough experience with his mother's mate, Delano, but seriously... this was bad! What if she was already mated, and her mate was a unicorn? He'd be dead for sure if he was caught flirting with her! He flicked his ears uneasily.

ShadowofPhantoms
Rarenia smlied as nicely as she could manage. "Thanks! That sounds like it hurt alot. And sounds like your mother is very knowledgeable." she said nodding, mainly to herself.

Rarenia picked up the herb and started applying it with her mouth on all the stings she could reach. "Your very helpful! This makes it feel so much better." she said, swishing her tail around. "What's your name?"

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He only nodded his assent for agreement with her words. What need did he have to brag about such an embarrassing experience? "My mother is very knowledgeable," he declared, body erect in a proud stance as he spoke fondly of his mother. She wasn't particularly wise, per say, but rather, highly intelligent. She was a curious mare who sought knowledge, and his grandfather, though not as intellectual as his mother (who was his grandfather's daughter), had encouraged this determination.

He was glad Grandpa Hania had. He smiled at the unicorn mare, seeing that she did, indeed, look and feel much better. "You're welcome..." he let the sentence hang as he introduced himself with an elegant bow, something he'd learned watching, ironically, Delano. "...I am Shizuka Tsuyoi," he said, pronouncing his name carefully as it silkily rolled off his tongue. Father refused to admit he'd named him such a powerful name, but in his own way, Shizuka didn't mind.

ShadowofPhantoms
Rarenia blinked at the name. "That's quite a name, Shizuka Tsuyoi. I am glad to have met you. You have certainly brightened my day up a good amount!" she said happily. "Do you have any nicknames? Shizuka Tsuyoi is kind of long to say al the time." she said, swishing her tail around. It was a habit of hers to do that when happy or excited.

"Oh, and I am called Rarenia." she added.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
He gave a hearty chuckle. "Yes, my name means Silent Strength; Father had great ideas for names." A soft, genuine smile passed over his face at her words. "My pleasure, my good mare. It's better the world see your smile rather than your frown." Awesome, the flirting game was back up a notch. He flicked his tail slightly in anticipation, but carefully made sure his face didn't give anything away.

He mused a bit, pondering. "Well, my family calls me Shiz, or Tsui. Either way, or you can just say one part of my name, like Shizuka or Tsuyoi. I answer to any of those." He nodded, and then his hidden smirk grew more now that he'd received her name. He bowed elegantly, deeper than he had earlier. "A great pleasure to have made your aquaintance, Rarenia," he spoke sincerely, and then added, "Do you, perhaps, wish for a nickname, or have one?"
Lilly_Foxx
It was exceedingly hot and muggy. Being mostly black sure didn't help the situation. The young skunk coloured mare nipped at the grass, only taking bites every now and then. Her tail twitched as a fly buzzed about her flank. She hummed an old tune her mother used to sing to her when she was young. It was sweet and melodious. She didn't dare call any attention to herself and thus didn't sing aloud.

A horse fly buzzed about her, looking for a good place to land for a feed. The insect dropped down onto her neck and stuck it's proboscis into her flesh. Her eyes widened and she let out a cry of suprise, as she tried to n** at the creature. It was days like this when she loathed her colourings. Horseflies loved dark colours. She tossed her stark white mane, snorted in distaste and went back to grazing.

She didn't really know what to think of the thin giants who she had been seeing around lately. It often made her think if there were others like herself. She hadn't really met too many other horses in her life, besides she was painfully shy and thus, liked to stay away from others.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

Out and about as was his usual routine, Hinote tread silently across the meadow, thankful for his wings as the day was unusually hot and muggy. He disliked days that were too hot, too humid, and too muggy, and today was one of those days. As he walked, silently--as always--cursing the sun for its overbearing heat, his sharp eyes noticed a black blob from afar. It was a small black-like blob, but noticeably a blob.

In any case, his curiosity piqued, he trudged towards the black blob. He would fly, of course, if it wasn't hot. Considering the circumstances, flying would make him give physical effort not needed on such a burning day, which would later make him sweat because he had had a work out by flying. He didn't feel like working out, nor did he feel like working up a sweat. Thus, he trudged, and he walked, and he tread towards the black blob.

Upon closer inspection, now that he was closer, he saw, notably, that the black blob was, in fact, a filly. Or so she looked; actually, when he studied this little female, she looked quite grown up, like an adult, really. He cocked his head at her, this little female. He had never seen such a small horse. Perhaps she was stunted and had run away from her family ashamed because of her size? What a treat! Perhaps she'd relate her story to him!

However, he was a stallion of taciturn personality. He would not speak unless spoken to, and even then, many would have to ask him questions just to get him to speak. Hinote stomped his hooves gently to get the little mare's attention, without so much as making any other noise.

Lilly_Foxx
Flower looked up from her grazing, as if slightly startled. It was another giant. She set her blue eyes on the stallion's own for a brief moment. "A-Allo." She said timidly, pawing the ground out of nervousness. "I-uh..." Her voice trailed off.

'Be polite and say 'hello'. Don't sound like a complete idiot!' Her mind chimed.

"I-I'm Flower...and you are?" She asked, forcing a slight smile onto her lips.

Her tone was sweet and surprisingly deep for such a tiny creature. It was still slightly high and unmistakably feminine but not incredibly squeaky and ear shattering. The mare glanced at the ground and seemed to be looking everywhere but his eyes that was remotely close to him. She cocked her head to one side while awaiting a response, trying not to stare at the ground.

The little female had never seen a Soquili with wings. They intrigued her greatly and she found his markings to be quite lovely. She often thought that if maybe, just maybe she wasn't so plain that she'd be more extroverted and able to strike up conversations. This would be a very useful trait in someone wanting companions. But as it was she was a wallflower and as bashful as a Usdia, or anyone for that matter, could be.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

He tilted his head, looking at the smaller horse curiously. She seemed shy, this little one did! He smiled gently, to show he wasn't dangerous or in anyway trying to hurt her. Ah... she asked him a question about his name. "...Hinote," he answered, his voice a nice, smooth tenor; like a singer's voice, really. If Hinote had really wanted to, he could sing and truly grab anyone and everyone's attention with his voice.

Soft golden eyes smiled brilliantly at Flower as he dipped his head in a proper, formal greeting. He liked the sound of this little one's voice because it was soothing. His tail flicked cheerfully; a new friend! She was also avoiding his eyes, but no matter. Since she was so small he probably looked like a giant to her. He flexed a wing--pure habit when he was thinking--and then lay down, so that he was, at least, eye level with her and not quite so big.

Note--as was his nickname, and quite a good one--settled himself comfortably. Finally, his curiosity got the better of him. "What, pray, are you, little one?" He was curious to see what kind of breed this little mare came from; he'd ask his niece Aruna--she was always so knowledgeable, that one--but she wasn't currently around.

Lilly_Foxx
"W-Well it's a pleasure to m-meet you Hinote." She said, dipping her own muzzle out of respect. She was used to looking up to others, literally, so she didn't mind too much. "While t-t-the gesture is appreciated, if you'd rather s-sit stand that's fine too." She said with a soft smile.

Once she got to know him and feel more comfortable around him her personality would really start to shine though. She was quite a firecracker and a bright, bubbly female. As time would go on, if things went well her speech impediment would also begin to wain. "M-Might I ask you what i-it's like to fly?" She asked, her sapphire eyes lighting with wonder. She loved when she ran with the wind and it blew through her mane and tail.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

He smiled brightly at her question. "...Flying is similar to when you run so quickly the wind is in your mane and tail," he explained. "I do not speak often, so I am prone to being very blunt about what I say," he warned, before Flower ended up asking any questions he would answer very honestly. Sometimes this trait got him in trouble--no one likes to hear the truth because it always hurt--but it made him a fine character indeed.

"A pleasure to meet you as well, Flower," he added, seeing as his manners had deserted him a bit. He only nodded at her other comment; he felt it better to be at her height so that she didn't crane her neck--he was, after all, pretty tall--and so, Hinote settled himself comfortably, wings pulled in tightly against his body.

Lilly_Foxx
"O-Oh and I forgot your other question." She said, blushing slightly again. "I'm U-U-Usdia...and you're a-a-a...erm...well it starts with a 'Ssssss' sound at any rate." She said, feeling rather stupid, her ears laying at a backwards angle. She wished she had more experience talking with others. This was all very new to her.

"S-Sometimes being b-b-blunt is a necessity. S'a quite o-over looked trait and can be d-d-dead useful at times." She said. She was having trouble keeping it going or thinking of things to say. "I know it irk me when p-people beat around the bush when t-they've mucked something up. "H-Honesty, no matter h-h-how brazen is often the best policy." She added with a nod of affirmation.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

He tiled his head, observing this Usdia. In Indian language, that word meant "pony"... so she was an adult... just a Soquili of smaller breed. He hadn't heard of these type of Soquili before, but that also meant neither did any of his family. He became excited when he realized that perhaps he was the only--so far that he knew--one of his family, blood and adopted, that had probably met one of these creatures!

In all honesty he wasn't sure what that meant, but he was, indeed, delighted. A long moment of silence had passed as he mentally contemplated his unique discovery, and on reflex stretched out his wings then folded them up once more. Ah, he felt quite the joy. "You are wise beyond what you seem, little mare," he commented sagely, nodding in agreement with her. Perhaps it was wise of him to have moved on from his family and had gone wandering, as well, he also realized now.

Lilly_Foxx
Being that he was a male, she didn't fully trust him but had given her a compliment. A small smile slipped across her muzzle. "Thank-Y-You." She said, her cheeks tinting slightly. She sounded far different from this stallion speech impediment or not, she had a sweet English tint to her tone. She smirked softly. "S-So does t-tha' mean y-you thought I w-was a filly?" She asked playfully, knowing that most Soquili came to that conclusion, at least at first.

Maybe, just maybe everyone wasn't a possible threat. Her mother was good, so inevitably, there must be more good creatures out there. Perhaps she had found one? It was too soon to be sure and she still peered at him from behind her carefully constructed, internal, walls.

These were out in place, of course, to keep her safe. She had many adaptive qualities that didn't apply anymore, which she had learned as a filly. She still needed to learn that not every male was forceful, not everyone was like her father. But it's never easy unlearning childhood habits.
A Meeting Undesired
PhoenixGuardianMikazuki

Free from the burdens of family for a little while, Aruna traipsed about carefully, relaxing her shoulders and moving with a grace only she could produce when she felt entirely relaxed.

Today was a day to relax, catch up with any old friends if she found them, meet new ones, and put down some egotistical Soquili if she happened to meet them. She had met far too many egotistical idiots in her long, action-packed life, and felt that many of those arrogant jerks could use a lashing whenever they needed one.

"Well, it's my mouth that causes half the drama," she said, somewhat sarcastically as she flicked her tail idly. Maybe she would get to meet someone new for a change; it had been a long time since she had met someone new.

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Tiffany happened to be near by, grooming her tail. The long burdensome thing was absolutly amazing, but the upkeep was unspeakable. The bottom dragged, and the top tangled. There was pain in beauty.

Off in the distance, she saw another mare coming near her. She looked a bit worn. Not exactly old, but as if she had been through a lot. How unattractive. Tiffany tried to keep her life fairly uneventful to avoid the whole worn-out look, but it seemed like trouble just always followed her around! Every time she met someone, even if she tried to be NICE to them, she just always ended up in a fight!

Well, they were ignorant. They didn't understand that some were just so much better then others, and she was doing them a HUGE favor by pointing out their flaws. Then maybe they could take steps to fixing them right? And if they were unfixable, like just plain being ugly, maybe they could just crawl into a cave and never show their face again. Why didn't anyone see how amazing she was?

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
It was a shock to meet another mare that screamed "I'm-the-most-beautiful-creature-in-the-land" when Aruna looked up. Although she was an old mare now, she was still actually quite young; she just hadn't had the time to keep up her appearance lately due to family. In her own way, she had to admit that she was getting tired of making herself look decent; it was tiresome and bothersome. She couldn't understand how Shimshek had to go on about it at all, or how upkeep made one's appearance so appealing it attracted all kinds of creatures.

Now she approached this other mare cautiously, having the feeling that she was one of those types; Shimshek had toned it down slightly--Aruna figured it was because she met a male that she really, really liked--but she was still Shimshek, who claimed she was the most gorgeous gem in all of Soquili. She fought to roll her eyes. Of all the mares she had to deal with, she hoped this one was at least modest; it would make her extraordinarily beautiful in Aruna's eyes if she was. However, if Aruna had known, she would have avoided this mare like the plague...

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Tiffany raised an eyebrow at the other mare. For some reaon in Tiffany's mind, she always felt much taller then she really was. In reality, she was the exact same size as any other, but she always felt like she was looking down on them.

"I think your braids need to be re done, sweety. They are just SO shaggy looking, better go find a two legger, or just cut them off. Because really they just add to your whole look of being useless" she said matter-of-factly. Maybe this mare would be sensible and understand that Tiffany was just trying to help! Wh could interpret that wonderful comment as anything else?

Tiffany seemed to always run into soquili taht wasnted to fight her, be it verbal or physical. Mostly it was mares, they got worked up the most. Stallions seemed a bit calmer, although usually they ultimatly freaked out too. Maybe they were intimidated by how gorgeous she was. Or maybe they were all very, very stupid. Anyway, in all her days, Tiffany had really only met two soquili that accepted her, and that was more then enough. She was quite content alone with her ego as her best friend forever.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
It was a good thing Aruna was always ready for a good verbal argument, but perhaps this mare's stupidity stemmed from having such a large ego that she thought her comment was a compliment rather than an insult. Ah, well, here goes nothing. "Oh, does it? I haven't been able to find a two-legger in days, so my braids are just falling apart! It's quite irritable," Aruna replied, hiding her smirk with her looks, looking sincerely concerned--but hardly. Her mind was rolling with words that could probably shock the hell out of this mare.

She eyed this pale other carefully, and then slowly, a hidden smirk formed. "If I must say, you're such a beauty yourself, I feel, in a way, unworthy to be in your glorious presence. It's too bad that you have a bit of dirt in your mane there, near your ear... it's just a slight patch, my dear, but if you're not careful, other disgusting specimens will slowly start growing there, and then your precious flowers will wilt because of it. Better make sure you're never traveling near the swamp areas," she said, speaking slowly and carefully in the case the mare didn't understand her.

She was also giving her advice between the gentle, hidden insult, but perhaps the mare would catch the insult. She settled down to see what would happen, tossing her braids slightly to view them. They were getting a little loose now, but she didn't mind; her mane could probably be free of braids and she'd look the same as always. She was beautiful to her mate, her friends, and her family, so she didn't really care about appearance. Her life had been hell front and back and up and down, and she really did not give a care.

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Tiffany snorted "Well, I suggest you give that the utmost priority. You arn't much of a looker otherwise, but you might get away with being OK looking if you fixed your disgusting hair" she said. What was wrong with trying to bring more beauty into the world, hmm?

"Now what is your name, hmm? I amsure it is something junky, but I care to hear it anyway. And because I know you are absolutly dying to know, I am TIffany, the most gorgeous mare ever to walk this earth" she said, flipping her little curl a bit.

The mare basked in the glory of her compliments for a moment, because the other metioned dirt. Behind her ear? No! Impossible! Tiffany would NEVER let such a thing happen!! She didn't feel any dirt, she usually could. But what if some had fallen and she hadn't noticed!?! Her eyes grew wide.

"Is there a pond nearby I can look at myself in?" she asked desperatly, not wanting her spot to get any use. But if the mare was lying, there would be some hell to pay, in the form of insults.

PhoenixGuardianMikazuki
A fake look of concern appeared on her face as she smiled primly. "Such a compliment from someone obviously so much better than I. You can call me Aruna if you wish, since that's my name." She tilted her head in a kind of bow as she greeted Tiffany formally. "Oh my, it's such a great pleasure to meet you, O great Tiffany! I never thought I'd actually get to meet the most beautiful mare ever on this plane." She tossed her braids, already insulted twice, no, thrice by Tiffany, but she didn't let on. Better to lead this stupid, idiotic, egotistical mare in circles.

She nearly snorted with exasperated laughter at the desperation in Tiffany's voice. So stupid... She can't even tell I'm practically insulting her with this fake complimentary I'm giving her! Of course, Aruna knew there'd be hell to pay if she spoke aloud, but, since her life was already hell, any more would be, well, nothing at all. "I'm sorry, Lady Tiffany, but the nearest pond is extremely far away; we'd have to tramp through marshland and that would ruin your hours of work!" Actually, the nearest pond was in the forest right behind them... in the swamplands. But Aruna wasn't going to tell her that; she wanted to see if Tiffany would panic or break down crying or, like most, think they were holding themselves together and just say something they felt was noble.

She fought the urge to roll her eyes again. Argh, those idiotic Soquili who believed in beauty being the uppermost important things in their lives were truly missing out, but no matter what you told them they'd turn a deaf ear. Better to compliment them with underlying insults; it was a good thing Aruna was a slight masochist. Pfft. She shook her head at the unsympathetic way Tiffany was acting; so pathetic, and seriously, so imbecilic. What a moron... She thought, while keeping her appearance looking concerned. "Would you mind walking through mud and gump and that other nasty stuff just to look at your ear, though?" she asked, pretending to sound unsure... and of course, stupid.

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Tiffany moved her hooves uneasily on the ground. This mare could be lying about the dirt, and all her sense said she was. But the mare...Aruna, apparently, looked so sincere, and something about her made Tiffany want to belive her. But she never had a CHANGE to get dirty. Did she? No, she hadn't! She had just bathed an hour or so ago, and she had been wandering the trees sisnce. Could the dirt have like..jumped up on her? That would be horrible! Didn't the dirt know who she was?!?

Aruna? Wait...Aruna...Tiffany had heard this name before. Wait! Wait! She remembered her meeting with the annoying brat that called herself Epesi. She said her older sisters Aruna and Artemis had stolen all the beauty. Could this mare be one of the beauty stealers? She looked. Righhht...

Epesi had made it out like she thought her sisters were some kind of beauty queens, but CLEARLY the whole freaking family was full of duds. At this rate she would probubly end up meeting one of the tragic looking stallions as well. That woud be the day. Ugly soquili shouldn't be allowed to breed, look what happens!

"No...you do it! Clean it off!" she demanded, certainly a worshipper of her beauty would be absolutly honnered to help her out. "By the way...do you have a younger sister named Epesi? Orange and black, totally tragic looking?" she asked, turning the ear that Aruna had earlier incated torwards Aruna for her to groom. "And you better do a good job. Because if it is a poor job, you have no idea how much hell I will bring you, got it?" she hissed.

PhoenixGuardianMikauzki
It was at the point Aruna was getting annoyed enough with Tiffany that she was getting close to yelling--well, arguing--right back at her. She chuckled silently, looking at Tiffany's ear. Oh, there was dirt all right... but then again, there wasn't any dirt at all. Oh, well, might as well make it a good show. In her own way Aruna found this situation entirely too amusing. Apparently Tiffany thought she was a goddess and that even Epona wouldn't be able to compare in her beauty--such thoughts would send her to the plane of evil more than the plane of good. Perhaps Epona had desired to create such a creature... oh, wait, one of those sins... Pride...? was walking around the area somewhere, so maybe his influence had seriously taken over this stupid mare.

She was about to add more sugar on top of the cake Tiffany already was when Epesi was mentioned. She narrowed her sharp golden eyes, clearly not liking how Tiffany had insulted her baby sister. No one insulted her family, even if they insulted her all the more. Her family was the most beautiful family in the world, and clearly Tiffany had no lineage whatsoever. "Yes, I have a younger sister named Epesi," she said carefully. "Why do you insult her so? What has she done to you that you would disapprove of her, m'lady?" she added, slowly frowning. Then Tiffany demanded for her to clean the "dirt" behind her ear for her. Like a slave, an inferior... a servant. How dare she come to the conclusion that others would do things for her?!

...All right, time to stop playing the adoring fan and worshiping inferior. It was time this mare learned that she wasn't the most gorgeous thing on earth. She did not like how Tiffany had told her what to do, and her insult about Epesi had gotten to her. No one got away with insulting her family without her insulting right back. She hissed right back. "Listen you dud of no royal lineage! You were probably so ugly that your own parents abandoned you for how ugly you are! That's probably why you don't know who they are, and well, probably why you feel you have to go on about how adorable, beautiful, and superior. Did you think I was so stupid as to worship your damn ugly appearance? How dare you insult my family, and then insult me even further by demanding such of me? Insult me back, I'll insult you worse. You can't win, you ugly b***h," Aruna said, point of fact, and very bluntly.

"So don't even try. If you're going to anyway, I'll tell you what Hell is all about." Her "gentle" demeanor from before had clean wiped away. Tiffany wasn't getting away with anything if she could help it. She was prone to saying even worse words, and was very good at hurting others. She could tell she'd be accomplishing much if she could make this mare see the truth of it--through insults, since the way this mare spoke told her that she would turn a deaf ear if she tried to advise her or tell her something differently. Insults only seemed to penetrate that stupid thick skull of hers. "You're so greedy with how you look, you're probably going to turn fat and then lose that fat and become an ugly, thin skeleton because you're so worried about your appearance. Well, let me tell you--you're just a b***h full of s**t. No one is perfect, no one is better than the other. Only the goddess Epona can tell us differently."

Tiffany snorted, listening to the brats little rant. Her words hurt, particularly the part about why her parents abandoned her. She never quite understood why, but they must have had a good reason. Maybe they felt so inferior to their gorgeous child that they just couldn't take rasing her and possibly taking away from her beauty. Or maybe she was just meant to grow up alone, because that way her true beautiful self and personality could florish to how wonderful it was now.

"I can and will insult your faimly" she said, taking a deep breath. "Your little sister was horridly ugly, and so are you. And know what she told me? She told me that you took all her beauty from the family. How do you like that, hmm? She said she was the ugliest. What was I supost to do then, hmm? Lie to the poor thing and give her false expectations on what people think about how she looks? But really, I think she over estimated your beauty. You arn't any better looking then she was, if not worst. I bet your whole family is full of ugly nastiness. Were you all bastards, or from the same pair?" she said cruely, not holding back.

Of course, Tiffany never held back. She just made up things more often when she was angry. And at this point, she was angry. She hate the stupid mares that thought they could get to her with cruel insults. She had heard it all before, that she would get old and fat, that she was ugly, that her personality was terrible. She could ignore that. But Aruna was the first one who dared tred upon the grounds of her parents. "And my parents abandoned me" she growled at the other "because they died after I was born" that was a lie. Tiffany was fairly good at lying, though. She often made up storied like that to make soquili feel bad for her, or about the ignorant statements they made. Of course, for all Tiffany knew, her parents could be dead. SHe just didn't know.

"I AM perfect, don't you get it? I have flawless beauty and perfection. I have the right to command you to do things because I am BETTER then you. Just roll over and accept that. You are a pathetic, disgusting creature that I have had the misfortune to lay eyes upon. So clean the damn dirt off from behind my ear, or you will suffer more insults" she said, stomping a foot. "But I bet you lied about the dirt, didn't you? Because you are a cruel little brat. I didn't do anything to you but try to help you with how tragic your braids look. I would want someone to tell me if my hair was messed up, although it never is, I was just trying to help!" Tiffany truely belived that she was helping others by making such remarks, and that everyone was just eternally ungrateful. But whatever, what was she to do if they were stupid?

She laughed, albeit cruelly. "You think such words can hurt me? You're a fool--no, worse than a fool! I don't think even stupid can describe such a pathetic little weasel like you. Even weasel is a compliment! My, there's nothing horrid enough to describe you, is there? Probably because your parents knew you'd grow up so rotten they decided it was better you learned on your own how irritable you are. You're hardly superior, you're hardly perfect, and let me tell you, perfection is simply something we cannot achieve--especially someone as senile and imbecilic as you." Aruna's ear twitched at Tiffany's comment, and only smirked.

"Those words were meant as compliments, but I'm afraid I am no beauty stealer. Were I, I'd have flourished beyond what you can only hope to achieve. I know for a fact that you lie through your teeth, and believe each of those pathetic little lies. Lies that no one believes, lies that call you a perfectly imperfect being. You're so impure, even a Kalona wouldn't be able to stand you--oh wait, I take that back. They'd be able to stand you long enough to murder you, turn you into a bloody mess and then destroy your soul with pleasure, even so far as dancing on it. I'm surprised a certain Kalona male hasn't yet destroyed you. Really." She snorted, smiling ever more as she conquered the other mare. "You can't hope to insult me because I've been to Hell and back, and then I did it again. You can't come even a little close to the torture and pain I've gone through!"

She sneered at Tiffany's words. "Oh, and by the way, your parents couldn't have abandoned you if they died. But then again, my family would whole-heartedly agree they'd rather die than to meet you and your idiotic ramblings of how you have to be the most gorgeous thing on the planet, and oh how you have to be beautiful at every nanosecond of the day, and oh, did I mention how stupid it was to worry about your appearance? Oh, maybe I didn't. Your sorry little brain wouldn't be able to process it; it's all aflutter over how you must be the best thing ever to be given to this plane. Moron. The best thing you'll ever be for is your moronic ego!" Aruna was able to interpret a lot of things from her experience with many different Soquili, and Tiffany was like a piece of grass to her. She could slice and dice through this mare like nothing, and forget being insulted, she had done and gone there and back.

"What? Oh, now you see I've lied about the dirt. Oh, wait, I didn't lie--it's on you everywhere, you just can't see it because you're blind to the fact that you were dirty to begin with. You always have, even if you can't tell. That's what you are--you're dirt. You're the mud my hooves trample on, you're the ground I run on, and walk on. Keep trying, I'm sure you think you can burst my bubble, but my bubble was burst long ago." Tiffany was going to pay dearly for insulting her family... Aruna would insult her right back. She had finished crying a long time ago; she had finished being played with. Her emotions and her personality had hardened over a long while ago, and only those she truly cared for would see her real self. "Do you think I care how I look?" she snorted. "My braids might be messy, but hell, they're probably much better kept than your mane and tail is; I mean, who ever heard of such a mane tail to be so up kept that it shone like the sun and blinded anyone who tried to make peace with you?

"You're so inferior to everyone else I've met like you I'd have to agree with whoever else said they were the best being on the planet they were right. But they're wrong, just like you. You lie and hope some of the dumbest idiots out there agree with you and start following you around like a ragtag group of morons. Hardly! Every Soquili in this region are their own, even if they're arrogant--oh yes, I must add, your arrogance outdoes even the best of them." She laughed aloud, just to annoy Tiffany more. The mare had already grated on her nerves enough; it was time she learned a little something new, even if she turned a deaf ear.

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Man, this mare talked. A LOT. Just listening to her rant was giving Tiffany a headache. Was being annoying something that ran in the family, or was it just the girls? Who knew, but it was certainly running strong in the two mares that she knew. She comprehended a good amount of what Aruna was saying, but most of it was in one ear and out the other. Tiffany just refused to listen when one began to talk too much, something that most found quite annoying.

"You AND your sister just never shut up, do you?" she said, rolling her eyes. She knew that she was being insulted, but she was quite used to it. "Would you just stop with the insults already? You can think I am a weasle or whatever, but I couldn't care less what you think. Because I KNOW what I am right, and I don't have to listen to what you say. No one is making me, so I choose not too. And I also choose to think you and your whole family is full of annoying little idiots that don't know when to shup up and back down" she said, taking a step torward Aruna.

"You are no where near me, sweet heart. You are ugly, dirty little creature who dosn't have any idea what she is talking about. You speak as if you know much more then me, but in reality, I doubt you do. Maybe you have more experience, but I don't care. I am better then you either way. I am more gorgeous, and wonderful. I deal with every situation with the utmost grace, and I havn't ever slipped up. You clearly have made more mistakes in your life then you wish to count, and I pity you for that, you deplorable beast" she hissed, assuming most things. You could tell alot about a mare by looking at how dingy their hair was.

"And also, smart one, maybe they died AFTER I was born. Maybe they died when I was a basket, ever think of that? Hmm? And do you really think meeting anyone else in your family would be a fun time for me? Goodness no. I mean, I can't even imagine being surrounded by you annoying ugly creatures everywhere. Or is it only the girls that are incrediably talkative and stupid? Are the boys as annoying? I imagine they are equally as ugly and have no sense of looks, which, by the way mean everything. People respect you more if you look nice, it means you care. Mares with nice hair care, that is quite the saying for you, I suggest you take it to heart.

And you may not have noticed, but I am perfectly clean. I havn't the faintest what you are talking about in saying I am dirty. I spend lots of time, in fact, most of the day making sure I am perfect, and I am very offended that you would say I am dirty. I could tell you were annoying, but are you really so stupid as to think I am dirty, or are you blind?" Tiffany snorted, not even considering that Aruna was using a metaphore. In fact, she was entirely baffled that she had even brought something like that up! Surly the mare was entirly insane.

"I wouldn't speak of inferiority if I were you. No one would ever waste their time with such an underling as yourself, and I am sure any mate of yours is entirly stupid. I bet you are cruel and annoying to him as you are to me, and I bet you don't consider another before your actions, you inconsiderate b***h" Said Tiffany, getting very upset with this mare. Why did she keep going? Why couldn't she just stop? All Tiffany had done was try to help, and now she was being verbally attacked! Why did bad things happen to good soquili?

This. Mare. Had. No. Idea. Just. Who. She. Was. Dealing. With!! Aruna had had times when she thought she had met the most irritating stallions and mares in the world, but none of them so much as hit number one on her list just like Tiffany did. Of all the insane, arrogant Soquili she had to run into, it was an idiotic, uppity mare who thought the entire world had to bow down to her whims, which were all imbecilic and good Epona she was about to murder this mare! Aruna seethed, and her golden eyes flashed dangerously. She wasn't below using physical violence to get someone to understand what she was trying to tell them; physical pain was a good teacher, and a much better lecturer.

"I don't know, maybe we never shut up because someone we know doesn't shut up, either," she retorted, eying Tiffany with a look of disgust. "Because I KNOW I am right, and I don't have to listen to what you say. No one is making me, so I choose not to," she mocked in a high, squeaky voice. "You can mock my family all you wish, and you can insult them as much as you like, but you will wish you never had if you are up to seeing every single member." She smiled evilly. Her family had gotten extremely big ever since Hania and Mahiri had become mates, and things had just started rolling from there. Forget that Tiffany didn't know a single thing outside keeping and talking about herself--that mare was due to die by someone at some point.

Or maybe let her grow old and see how she enjoyed looking uglier as she grew. "I know more than you ever would, little mare," Aruna spat. "I also have a lot more experience with things you probably never touched. You avoid anything and everything that is a risk to your fur! Gossip as much as you please, I'm sure anyone who understands gossip will only think about it for only a mere second." She rolled her eyes. "Oooh, maybe my parents adopted me, who knows?" she mocked once more. "I know a mare who survived harsher worlds than you, and goodness me, I believe you have competition there--her name is Shimshek, and she declares she is the best of the best--the utmost perfection. See if you can beat her." Aruna doubted either mare would give in to the other, really.

Shimshek knew how to use her words, and apparently had met Pride himself, but what did Aruna know about such an encounter? Certainly only Shimshek's word. "The boys are actually a lot kinder than my sisters and me. Actually, I dare say they'd compliment you more than a mare would. Oh, my, I'm sorry, I didn't know you didn't know you were so dirty! Let me help you with that!" Aruna smiled widely, evilly, took a step forward, set herself...

...and tackled Tiffany. Hard. She backed up, and shook herself, snorting. "Oops, did I do that? I'm so sorry, I got you all dirty! Not that it matters. You're still the dirt under my hooves." For good measure, Aruna kicked a bit of mud at Tiffany, smirking. "Oh no, did I do that too?" She kicked more mud at Tiffany, "I'm sorry, let me try helping you again, Miss Mud!" Insane, yes. But only when Aruna felt like the other Soquili deserved to "know" her insanity. She had gone through so many things in her life, she often wondered if her problems dwelled with her more than any other. "Yes, I wouldn't speak of inferiority at all, since I am no more superior than you are superior to me. Unlike you, I can handle a bit of dirt and mud! It can always be washed off, and well, you don't have to look good to say you're the most perfect thing in the world!"

Which was true, obviously. That is, of course, until Tiffany insulted Delano. No one insulted her mate. Ever. "What did you say?" she said quietly, threateningly. Tiffany probably didn't feel the tension and pressure behind how much Aruna had held back when she had tackled her. "Inconsiderate? Cruel and annoying? Say more words like that to me and about my mate, Tiffany, and I assure you... I will leave scars the size of the moon on you. I will turn you into the ugliest beast on the land," she whispered, eyes glinting sharply. She never went back on her word, either. She would make Tiffany into the ugliest thing on Earth if she had to just to teach her a lesson.

Bubblegum Flavored Pandy
Tiffany glared at the fiesty mare. She certainly didn't look at it, but Aruna was quite a fireball. Tiffany hadn't expected that. Well, usually she never did, because there was no reason for anyone to ever insult Tiffany, or get in a fight with her. Because she never did anything wrong! She just gave friendly advice to make the world a better place, and people just got so darn angry! Life was tough for poor, poor Tiffany, and she was doing her best to make sure her bright and shining personality never faultered.

"Who dosn't shut up?" she asked, genuinly confused. Wait, was this mare talking about her sister? "I thought you liked your sister? I mean, I get that she dosn't shut up too, but didn't you just say you liked your family? Although I understand why you hate her, she really is annoying" said Tiffany, blinking. Then the mare started on about how her family would take Tiffany down. "Well, I don't care. I will make sure to let every single member of your family know how dreadfully pathetic you all are, and let them all know that I find it completely horrendus that your terrible genes were passed down. In fact, someone seriously ought to stop that. But not me, because I am too busy spreading beauty in the world to try to surpress ugliness like that" she rambled, unsure even where she was going about everything. But it made sense at the time.

"I highly doubt you know more then me" said Tiffany, smirking. "I have out ran a Kalona, spoken with one and made friends with one that said he was Pride or something like that, and had my hair messed up countless times, and I delt with every situation with the utmost grace. You are just some disgusting little creature" she said, unaware of Aruna's strong past. Tiffany, at least in her mind, found every time that a leaf fell onto her back to be a very trying and terrible ordeal. A huge threat, in fact. She wasn't aware that worst things could happen.

Then, suddenly, the crazy thing said she was going to help her, and Tiffany was attacked. "YOU LITTLE..." she shieked, looking down at herself. Aruna wasn't so dirty that she had left a visable spot on Tiffany's white mane, but Tiffany felt like she did, getting that icky little mare's germs all over her! "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU JUST DID!" she screamed, absolutly enraged. This mare was going down, she was so going down. Tiffany would not rest until she was dead and buried.

Then, the crazy witch kicked MUD all over her. MULTIPLE TIMES! "YOUUU!" Tiffany couldn't control herself at this point. "YOU DIRTY UGLY BRAT! I WILL INSULT YOUR MATE ALL YOU WANT! I BET HE CHEATS ON YOU ALL THE TIME, AND I BET YOU CHEAT ON HIM BACK BECAUSE YOU CAN'T APPRECHIATE THAT SOMEONE ACCUALLY LIKES SUCH A CREATON AS YOU ARE!" she screamed, wanting to send out alll the most painful things she could think off. "I HATE YOU!" she yelled.

The enraged mare reared, coming down with a thud. She then kicked at Aruna with all her strength right into her side, hoping to break the skin. Tiffany had never gotten into much of a fight before. Sure, she had kicked someone once or twice, he hadn't? But now she was angrier then she had ever been before. The mare had gotten mud. ALL. OVER. HER. PERFECT. COAT! This was war. This was worst then war. This was...well, Tiffany couldn't think of what it was. But it was bad, very bad. All she had done was been nice and kind and charming to the mare, and she had gone crazy and attacked. Was there no justice in the world?!?!
