Hello people! This is Crytuf, owner of a new wonderful guild called 'The World of Joura'! This new roleplaying guild is about the wonderful world of Joura, a mystical place with odd creatures who inhabit it. But it is not all peacful in Joura, a war has broken out between the Heroes and the Villains, putting everyone and possibly the world of Joura itself at risk for destruction. But the Heroes can't take on this fight alone, they need the help of people like you to help battle this evil. Alas, the Villains are recruiting too, turning the war into a huge event like only the War of the Gods before. So it begs the question, what side will you choose to fight one, the side of the Heroes, or that of the Villains. Of course, there is the thrid option, you could be neutral.... but wheres the fun in that? So come, visit our beautiful new world and enjoy what it has to offer!
The History of Joura (as told by Damita)
The Beginning
The history of The World Of Joura is a fantastical history, from the first appearance of the tiniest Dragonflies to the largest Vegas. Joura's history is marked both by a vast amount of discoveries and inventions, as well as by wars that comprise the natural and spiritual evolution of The God's World Of Joura.
Joura's history, as opposed to when the God's first appeared, has in the past been said to begin with the discovery, independently at several sites on Joura. First was writing, which created the abilities for lasting, accurate memories and thus for the growth of knowledge. Writing, in its turn, had been made necessary in the wake of the Creatures Revolution, which had given rise to the races, i.e., to permanent settled communities, which fostered a growing diversity of trades.
Such scattered habitations, centered about life-sustaining bodies of water — rivers and lakes — which grew over time into ever larger units, in parallel with the evolution of ever more efficient means of transport such as Griffins, Kirins and Skuds. These processes of growth, spurred by rivalries and conflicts between adjacent communities, gave rise to the War Of The Gods. The fall of the God's Kingdom at the end of Joura's 19th century became the first bookmark in this world.
To some the war began in God's Kingdom and to others it began on Joura during a time when the thieves, mercenaries and murderers reigned supreme. In actuality the war began between the Gods.
The War Of The Gods
Joura entered conflict following the declaration of war against the Gods. The God's forces attacked Lilie because of her treachery. Her ideals to overthrow Lita and the other Gods became The War Of The Gods.
Jourians responded to the outbreak of war in the 19th century with the evolution of villainous races and creatures. The outbreak of war was thus presented to Joura as the chance for the aging beings to secure "our right to live forever" as the Fioreth put it, which was readily supported by the growing villain status.
When Lilie was destroyed the war continued on Joura. The inhabitants had trouble letting it go and those who had followed The Fallen Goddess refused to surrender. It seemed to a lot of Joura's population that Cur began to follow in her footsteps and began war on Joura.
The villains regained some of their former power with a new leader and defeated some of the most famous heroes such as Awase, Tyrew and Valladah. It didn't take long for the other heroes to come to action and destroy all of the villains.
The Gods soon realized that Cur was under a spell created by Lilie to preserve her body inside of Cur until the end of the war when she could return to power. With the help of some Jourian exorcists, who never became famous, they removed Lilie's spirit from Cur. Cur was furious and destroyed Lilie for a second time.
With a bit of help from the Gods the heroes finally defeated all of the villains. When the war finally ended the lands became paranoid of chaos and the ones that had the ability locked their gates.

It is a relativly complex roleplaying guild requiring the following of rules and the ability to post a paragraph or more and be literate.
Its also still under a little bit of construction due to things like school and what not in our daily lives. There is a nifty little OOC thread up and running where new members can go hang out and get to know each other and the mods.
