Hello~! My name is shortpinay so you can call me Shorty, SP, Pinay, Melanie, Mellie.. or anything else you can come up with. I've been a member of Gaia since November 15, 2004 but I haven't been active very much, and when I was, the only thing I was interested in was the Art Arena. I stopped going on Gaia a little after the Fishing Game was introduced and every time I checked Gaia there were new and confusing things that I didn't feel like exploring. Plus the Art Arena was always down and dear Chronos, god of time, was unfavorable to me (basically, I had no time.) But I returned this past March (2007) and I've been a loyal Gaian since the opening of my shop :]

I am currently a very busy High School (FUU I'm in college now) student, and believe it or not, I have priorities. This means that school comes before art, Gaia, Internet, etc. Thus, I might open and close this shop at any time, so I forewarn you :]

Anyways, my drawings are my babies.. I find my pride and joy in art <3 That's probably quite evident, so I'll leave it at that. I also enjoy anime, manga, tennis.. sushi.... etc....

♥ [05.01.07] Raised prices again surprised

♥ [05.21.07] Raised prices for digital art. I came to a realization that ordering my art on gaia is waaay cheaper than my rates if you commission me IRL. I feel like raising them higher.. but oh well -_-;

♥ [06.03.07] I've decided to start an auction, so once I get the current commissions finished, I will be closing all of the slots except for one Bribe slot.

However, when the auction is over, I'm going to have 3 regular slots and 2 bribe slots at a time (rather than the current 5 & 3) and I might be doing "batches" because I think it'd be easier that way..

I will post another update with the link to my auction once I open it :]

Bribe Slot

Reference(s): Two characters. The first is Telemachus Otho, AKA lil Darkie. His oufit it generally based on this avatar. He's a little kid roughly the age of 5, less than 3 feet tall in all. Probably going to have baby blue socks instead of shoes because I'm imagining indoor snapshots. Probably no chocolates, too. Less bows and no hat for certain poses. One kitty as an actual kitten and one as a plushie. Red eyes, and red hair, but not too dark. Hair about this length, though maybe a bit shorter. Less messy and definitely out of the eyes. I've seen the hair done many ways and haven't really picked a favorite, so whatever you feel is the easiest and the cutest for our little Darkie.

The other character, going to be his older brother, is named Erebus. He's 18 years old and just barely 6 feet tall. A vest like Cloud's from FF7 but none of the other euipment. This for reference or any other of the many and better pictures of cloud out there on the internet. Dark blue for the vest, so you can use black and grey for the contours which are very important. He has hair shaped like this, short, minimal bangs in the front so his eyes are hidden too much. Erebus' hair is silver in color, though not overly shiny, with red highlights on the tips here and there. The thing about him is that he's almost always expressionless and will only smile if Dark forces it out of him. Loose black pants based on the 90s black pants with a single brown belt hanging from his waist at a slant, disconnected from the loops in the hem of his pants and not holding them up at all. Musketeer hat just like the one in my current profile. 90s gloves, too, or something like that so his hands/arms don't look too plain.

Pose / Expression: The theme for all three works is brotherly bonding. Erebus babysitting his little brother for a whole weekend, just the two of them. The first pose is of Dark sitting on the ground playing with various toys with Erebus sitting across from him against a wall watching and trying not to smile. For Dark, legs in an L (or wide a V). For things to play with, ABC blocks, a firetruck, toy train, his kitties, etc. For other things laying on the floor between the two boys, a baby bottle on its side, other plushies, and other things a 5 year old that's reluctant to leav his babyhood behind would have. Use all of those, use some of those. Use some ideas of your own as long as he has something to keep him busy. Erebus shall be hatless, and Dark will be without his bows and have Erebus' hat on backwards so it looks like a fireman's hat. Erebus will have one leg out straight along the floor and the other leg bent at the knee so that it comes up off the ground. Imagine what a house that has a resident 5 year old would look like. Scenery is very important, even the little baseboards lining where the carpet meets the wall.

The next scene is on the couch. This is a brief sketch provided by another artist. I'm not sure if all the proportions are entirely right. Dark would need to be a little bit bigger to look 5 and Erebus' arm wouldn't be allowed to hang down that far without bending at the elbow because the floor would be down there. Erebus sitting on a couch so that one leg is off the front of the couch and the other against the back of the couch with his knee bent at a 100 degree angle. His back is to the side of the couch, then, what would be the arm rest. His hat on tilted down so that his eyes are completely hidden, but his nose is visible as well as his expressionless lips. No hat for Dark though. Dark would be sleeping between Erebus' open legs with Dark's head resting back on Erebus' lower chest/upper stomach area. Pacifier in the sleeping kid's mouth and a thin blanket over him from his waist down. part of the blanket will cover Erebus' foot that was on the couch and the rest will trail over the side of the couch down by Erebus' other foot, the one hanging over on the ground. The camera would be looking at this scene from the front of the couch.

The last scene is your choice of either Dark having woken up crying in the night and Erebus having come to his rescue to hold him, or Dark getting a "piggy-back" ride from Erebus, or something cute and sweet that you can think of. One of the three. I'm interested in something that will show off the rest of Dark's outfit not in the other two poses, such as his santa hat and his bows and ribbons. I have no favorites, and I'd love to trade ideas with you and talk it over with you, or any other detail of the other poses. I'm more available by PM than in the thread for future reference.
