Since May 2007 we started actually paying for a host for the Knuffel. The host gets payed from the google ads on the feeding/game/forum pages and should people completely loose interest in Knuffel and should not eough people feed them anymore, we won't be able to pay the host and reserve the right to move to a free host and do not take responsibility for any possible server downtimes/problems/etc of the free host.
The Knuffel art is made by Firn The Panda, backgrounds of the very first Knuffel were screencaps from various games or movies, however, after we got pointed out that we are not allowed to use them on Gaia we started to make them ourselves. So all Knuffel + backgrounds sold in the shop right now (and in the future) are our original work. The script was written by starkad (please don't PM him to ask how it works, there is a link to a guide written by him in the Kingdom Of Knuffel Shop thread!)
For the style of the first humanoid Knuffels in 2006 pixel doll bases from a site calles pxl garage were used as reference, they were however not used as bases itself (the site doesn't even provide slim, normal and fat bases!) like you would use them for pixel dolls, but as orientation for how to draw chibis. The site doesn't seem to exist anymore.
The present Knuffel are 100% our original design.
