Suprisingly enough, she can be quite talkative once she gets started. Though quiet at first, Crow has a commanding presence about her that makes people notice.

[[ S t o r y ]]

>> The Races

The world is made up of three different races: Humans, Beasts and Immortals. Humans are just normal people without any special abilities. Beasts are those who have the blood of animals and take on that appearance, varying from only part animal to full anthro. Lastly, Immortals are those who cannot be killed. This race branches off from the Beasts, taking their likeness and blending in with society. There are two kinds of Immortals: those that cannot permanently die and those who are reborn after death.

>> Immortal Court

Among the Immortal race, a court is held in order to keep peace and justice among their race. It is headed by the oldest Immortals, who each preside over a specific elemental magic. Each of the leaders are given a title, named after a certain bird representing their element, and are addressed as such. Dove and Crow are both part of this court, and are the titles that they have been given. On each of the leaders' backs there is a colored wing tattoo to signify their position.

Dove: Light - White
Crow: Darkness - Black
Crane: Water - Dark Blue
Pheonix: Fire - Red
Griffin: Earth - Green
Eagle: Air - Sky Blue
Raven: Mind - Purple

>> The Beast-Human Wars

Thousands of years before the present, the Immortals began noticing that the Beasts were beginning to mistreat and enslave the Humans. The Humans began to fight back and soon after the Beast-Human Wars broke out. Crow and Dove, along with a few other Immortals, joined the Human side, dissapointed at their ancester race's actions (the Immortal race branches off from the Beast race). Most of the Immortals, though, chose to stay out of the conflict, insisting that it was none of their business. They soon found out that the Beast army was being led by an evil force: several evil Immortals, headed by Bartholome, the advocate of Dark Magic. After many years of warring, the two Immortals found their way to him during the final battle, fighting and finally defeating him, though not without sustaining injuries that would leave a permanent mark on the both of them. The evil Immortal had a sword sculpted from Dark magic. During the battle with Crow he slashed her across the back with the weapon and gave Dove the cut on his face when he came to help her. After defeating Bartholome, all the Beasts stopped fighting as if a great spell had been lifted and the rest of the dark Immortals were either killed or fled. With this, came the end of the great Beast-Human Wars and Dove and Crow were named heros. They dissappeared from public view soon after, only showing themselves to their Immortal bretheren. Many Immortals died during the Wars, including Crane and Eagle, two of the leaders of the Immortal Court (their successors have yet to be found and Court duties have fallen to two small groups of Immortals of the same elements).

>> Present Day

In the present day the Humans and Beasts live together happily. There are not very many Immortals left unfortunatly and the ones that are are most likely in hiding, for various reasons, mainly concerning the mortals' fear of magic and the unknown, brought upon by the Wars. Many Immortals were killed during the Beast-Human Wars (killed by decapitation) and Immortals are unable to have offspring.

Crow and Dove are now only legends to the mortals and nobody knows whether or not they are still alive or even exisisted at all. What they don't know is that the couple, in fact, are living and hiding in plain sight. They have several houses all over the world and are very wealthy because of the years of saving and acquiring different forms of money (gold, jewels, cash, artwork). Nowadays they mostly hang out and work in regular places and live in peace. They still keep up with their dealings with the Immortal Court, though now it is not as neccessary with the world in peace and many of the Immortals in hiding.

There is one problem though that has forced them from their regular lives.... Objects of great evil left over from the Beast-Human Wars, now know as the Dark Age, have been appearing around the world. These objects were various weapons crafted from dark magic and owned by Bartholome and his generals. Crow and Dove, along with the rest of the remaining Court, have to work to find and seal away those items. They can't help but wonder though, Why appear now, centuries after the Dark Age? Is something big going to happen?

~Mortal with no special characteristics.

>> Beasts
~These are mortals that are similar to anthros.
~They come in a multitude of species such as different mammals and reptiles.
~They vary from full beast to only a few beast characteristics such as ears and tails.
~ In present day, it is not uncommon to find many mixed species of Beasts.

>> Immortals
~They have the same characteristics as the Beasts or Humans so it is often hard to tell them apart.
~There are two different kinds of Immortals: Normal and Rebirth.
~Both Normal and Rebirth cannot die from old age
~Normal Immortals can die, but come back to life after healing.
~Rebirth Immortals can die more easily than Normal Immortals, but are reborn again afterwards.
~Rebirth Immortals stop growing physically at a certain age (varies from person to person).
~Rebirth Immortals usually remember their past lives at a certain point, but there are methods to prevent that.
~Only way to permanetly kill an Immortal is through decapitation.
~Immortals cannot reproduce.
~An Immortal is born through parents of same pure blooded Beast species by chance. Exception is that a Rebirth Immortal can be born to any type of parents after first birth.

>> Regular Immortals can die (i.e. getting shot), but they come right back to life after healing. The only way to fully kill one is by decapitation.

>> Rebirth Immortals can't die from old age, but can die easier than regular Immortals. Instead of coming back to life right away they are reborn instead. Can only fully kill one by the same means as a regular Immortal, though there are methods to make it so when a Rebirth Immortal dies, it won't remember it past lives.

>> Magic does exist in the world though it is hard to master. It take a very long time of training and usually only Immortals can master it. Some mortals may be able to master it, but they would have to be born with incredible magical potential.

>> The magic used is usually only elemental. There are several different categorys of elements and several different subcategories.

*Ground: Rock, soil, sand // Plant // Animal

>> Most Immortals have an inborn ability to use a certain element and which ever element it is effects their personality as well. They are not limited to only one element though, but their power in an element depends on how much energy they put into it. Example: 70% Air, 30% Mind.

>> When Crow and Dove first met they really didn't like each other because of their completely different personalities, but grew to love each other over time. Usually if Crow meets Dove while he hasn't revived his memory yet after a rebirth, he usually doesn't like her very much.

>> Immortals usually go into hiding, because although the legendary heros are actually Immortals, regular mortals are prejudiced against them because of their long lives and usual magical abilities.

>> Once wounded by one of the dark weapons, the scar never heals or goes away.
