Q: How much do these cost?
A: It depends on the species and how they're being sold. Flat Sales are generally 6k each but can differ. Auctions are to highest bid and Raffles generally cost 50g per ticket.

Q: How do I buy one?
A: Look in "Availability" post for Flat Sales, Auctions and Raffles. These are the only ones available at this time. None There? Come back later.

Q: OI! I wanna bribe you to make me one cause there's none there! gonk
A: Well then, if you would like to bribe me please PM the shop mule with your bribe (be it gold, items, letter, ect.) and I'll see what I can do. I will not accept all bribes, but really enticing ones sure. :]

Q: OMG! I want that Katakin but I don't wanna wait until the Flatsales open!
A: You can prebuy (Buy before flatsale is open) for TWICE the flatsale price. So if the flatsale will open at 6k, you have to pay 12k to get it early.

Q: How do I roleplay?
A: Roleplaying is available to all people who own any species from this shop. If you would like an invitation to the Guild please PM the shop Mule ( Katakin Islands ), Simply accept the invite and roleplay in your own thread there or join in with a current roleplay IF they are accepting newcomers.

Q: What is a Journal?
A: Your Pet's Journal is a way of roleplaying. Journals can be posted in our guild, but are not compulsory.

Q: Are you hiring?
A: Not at the moment, except for Guest Colourists.

Q: Did you say COLOURIST? *bounces around*
A: Yes, I did. Colourists must be pre-approved by us, but once you are we will send you the lineart and you can colour it for us whenever you want, although there is a minimum requirement & details are in the colorist info post. Submissions will go into a processing que to be sold. The colourist will receive the following rewards;

*50% of sale price for flatsales
*45% of High Bid for Auctions
*40% of Ticket Proceeds for Raffles

Q: Why are the %'s above different?
A: They're different because Auctions and Raffles require more work from us recording bids/tickets ect. Whereas a flatsale is a little less complex. However, you can make more from Raffles or Auctions depending on how many bids/tickets we get.

Flatsale Rules

Wait until I post GO in big green letters
It's first come first serve, I won't reserve. Flatsales will almost always be speed flatsales. Prompt, trivia, or other types of flatsales may occur but will almost be announced beforehand.
Don't try and discourage others from trying for the pet you want.
No saying "Oh, I'd like #4, but if that's gone #7!" in the event of a "first come first serve" flatsale. That's unfair to others, and frustrating. Only name one whistle, and hope you get it.
Each person may only get 2 Pets in each flatsale, you may buy for yourself and for a friend but that is the limit unless the Flatsale has been open for at least 24 hours & then you may adopt another Pet.
Familiars are sold as unlimiteds & no more than 2 Familiers per Pet
Please be ready to pay the flatsale fee right away
Send all trades to Katakin Islands
Co-owning isn't allowed

Auction Rules

Auctioned Pets will be RP required
No retracting Bids, it is a grey listing bannable offense
Don't try and discourage others from trying for the pet you want.
The bidding will be extended 10 minutes for any last minute bidders
Trade must be sent within 24 hours
Send all trades to Katakin Islands
We also except most Monthly Collectables using tektek.org as a price guide. If offering a letter please also state what items are in it.

Roleplaying is not required on most of our pets unless stated BEFORE the time of sale.

But we do ask you to post in the shop thread at least once a week. Please do not just disappear on us & then come in moaning your Pet hasn't grown.

If you would like a roleplay required pet without roleplaying, it will cost you TWICE the listed price or winning bid on an auction.

For all of you who would like to roleplay (and we recommend it), please simply visit our guild.
( If you would like an invitation to the guild please send a join request or PM the shop Mule ).
Good Roleplayers & any Pet Journals i like will be rewarded.

NOTE: If you start your own roleplay and wish for nobody to join in unless invited, please state that in your FIRST POST.
Rp must be pg-13 and follow Gaia TOS. Please keep in mind that young kids use Gaia. If you are caught RPing in a very naughty way you will be reported and banned from the shop. Take it to IM's people we don't need or want it here!

There will be no God modding or killing off of other Katakin;s or any other beast we may find on the Islands.

Katakins are the most sentient and intelligent of the races present on the island.
They originally came from Tasalamay, an island country far to the north of Kamali.
They are highly magical beings, and have a very strong set of traditions and rules within their culture.
While many of the old ways have been discontinued on the new island,
there are still many unique social protocols and ceremonies that take
place. The race is highly organized and believes in schooling its
young. They speak an oral language that is close to English, as well as the
ability to speak words of power (or spells) once they have learned them.
Katakins stand between five and six feet tall on average.

A strange winged Creature has been seen across the water on another Island eek

These dragon like creatures are native only to Tasalamay, however,
eight eggs were brought over when the original eight Katakins fled the island.
Julinkas large, and are capable of carrying Katakins on their
backs for prolonged periods of time.
This race cannot verbablize, but are able to communicate
telepathically if a Katakin creates a mind-link to them. The Julinkas
are completely capable of conversation with each other. Most commonly found are the Faerie Julinka but you might. if you're lucky, see Angelic & Demonic Forms too.

Aldara are a tiny race of faerie-like people who reside on Kamali,
and the other small islands in the archipeligo. They are the most
intelligent native species. They are capable of verbal communication
with the Katakins. Many Katakins will take on an Aldara as a guardian.
Many Aldara exhibit a childish nature and revel in jokes and fun.
Much like the Katakins they have strong natural magical abilites.
However, they do not use words of power like the Katakins. Instead
they rely more upon gestures and thoughts. They also do not school
their children, but rather expect them to learn from life. Rare Forms are Angelic & Demonic although more commonly found as Faeries.

Shikara are a race of deer-like creatures
who reside on Kamali, and the other small islands in the archipelago.
They are a shy and reserved native species. They are incapable of verbal communication
with the Katakins. However, they are empathic, meaning they can convey limited
'images' or emotions to their Aldara or Katakin friends. Few Shikara form mind-links
with the other sentient species on the island, but the few that do grant their friends
great benefits. A Katakin linked with a Shikara does not tire as easily, gains more
sustenance from a small amount of food and enjoys a quicker rate of healing than a
non-linked Katakin.
The Shikara, however, are extraordinarily shy and rarely form full bonds.
Unlinked Shikara will occasionally form friendships with the other inhabitants of the islands,
but will flee at the first sign of trouble. Only a Shikara with a full mind-link will stay to lend
aid in times of trouble or danger.
