are they really famous? my fren told me about them. it doesnt seem like they are big in japan...why are they comming here?
japanese rocker rejects? i want the info stuff on them
that is
THE rudest thing i have ever seen.
Rejects? Not even close. In fact their last drummer, before Rehit, was ranked within the top 5 drummers of all of Japan.
Camino is a small band in Japan, yes, but they are also fairly new.
Their fan following in America is larger than Japan, due to the fact that the exposure in America is larger and more concentrated. They are one of the few Japanese bands that have ventured to play at conventions in America, where as in Japan, they are one of thousands of Japanese bands.
BLOOD, Duel Jewel, and Camino are the three bands that seem to have one of the largest names in the Japanese rock genre (in America) because they have appeared here.
They are coming to America, because the recording company that they are in association with (AVEX) asked them to? And really, who would pass up the opportunity to create a name for yourself and your band in another country, even if you are just a small name band in your own country?
Camino's Official Home Page is located:
http://www.camino-project.com/
The site is Japanese, but caters to American fans as well, as being easy to navigate, and uses as much English as possible. They also have an English BBS.
