General

This petition is an idea of mine that I got from reading a book series.

Wouldn't it be nice to make it so that your avi could really match your RP char? Even if that char was of a different race? I know a lot of people who RP as drow, including myself, who can not have their avis look much like their RP chars. If you play a human, the skintones available are fine, but they don't let you use your imagination, not really. I think it would be nice if our avis could show our imaginations even more by what color their skin is.

Inspiration

I was inspired to make this petition by the Merry Gentry series of books by Laurell K. Hamilton. Many of the sidhe have skin colors that are very unique and wouldn't be found elsewhere. Galen, for one, has green tinted skin.

I was also inspired by the drow. The drow usually have ebony black skin though they can be a purplish or gray color. We certaintly can not currently look like that.

I'd like a new skin, but in my opinion, I think lighter colors would look best. *shrugs* :3

How about completely pale--like almost paper white? I mean, we need a good vampiric skin color too! <3

I do think this is a good idea, but personally the avi edits are a little too bright/loud for me, and would most likely clash with a lot of clothes/etc. on Gaia. Perhaps a more subtle shade of green or lavender, etc.?

although how about pure black and/or white skins? Or how about animal print skins? (like, say tiger or white-sock cat?)

And maybe the place to get an exotic color would be in a shop, like some kind of magic or tanning shop, instead of having to delet your avi in order to do so.
