1. Follow the TOS, profanity is fine so long as it isn't aimed at a Gaian in particular.
2. Be Respectful of all anybody in the thread at all times. Give respect - get respect
3. Any Art-Theft at all will NOT be tolerated - immediate blacklisting/reporting.
4. Please, PLEASE send all PM's to the mule. (`Avara) I will check often.
5. Payment for your Loure must be paid within 24 hours. Otherwise re-sold and grey listed.
6. Do not ask for jobs - If I'm hiring it will be blatently clear.
7. Two people MAXIMUM may co-own a Loure. The end.
8. You may not sell a Loure on your own, the shop will take and either auction or raffle off the young one and you'll recieve a cut of the profit. This may only be done ONCE because I don't want to deal with unwanted babies. Don't want that baby? Give for a gift or don't breed.
9. Do NOT try to buy someone else's Loure - Save up and buy your own or win one in events.
10. Feel free to give donations to people questing a Loure - but please don't try to hold a raffle without my knowledge. I'll find out.. and be an angry~panda.
11. As of now the ONLY cosplay animals that will ever be available will be done through raffle or auction. (Not because I don't support them, but because my lineart editing skills are very weak, sorry~!)
12. Don't ask someone if you may co-own a pre-existing Loure with them. They will ask you or you'll have to wait :/ sorry.
13. I will be looking into IRL money commisions if enough interest arrises.. as of now it's not necessary or required.

August 10- Good Golly. The shop died, plain and simple. I'll be cleaning out a lot of stuff and getting things going. I hope to get some new people in here and at the same time I'll probably be getting rid of some "clutter" hahaha. xD Okay, so the Greed Gods and stuff are going onto the backburner. Sorry folks. Stick around while Swirly cleans house.

June 10 - The Greek God / Goddess Event PMs have been sent out.. Each colorist that chooses to enter will be entering two for auction.. From there we'll have some probably a few for flatsale and possibly a raffle. Now then.. Some gods coming:: Hera, Artemis, Pan, Poseidon, Persephone, Aphrodites, and... MORE ;D

Q: What is a Loure?
A: The Loure are a sturdy breed of ponies, found only in Lourdes Valley. Distant relatives to the much more common, Shetland Pony. Although Loure have been known to fly.. or even have special abilities :O !

Q: What does "Lourdes" mean?
A: Lourdes is a Basque word, meaning Craggy Slope, similar to the terrain that the Loure are found in.

Q: How do I get one?
A: Flatsale, Auctions, Customs, and Bribes.

Q: .. Couldn't you just like.. give me .. like one now.. like?
A: -.-' No. and now I probably hate you.

Q: -whiney- It's not growwwwwing, how much loooonger.
A: Myself and my artists all have real lives. We're all working as fast as we can, so please be patient.

Q: When I breed them, How many babies will I get?
A: Two, unless the breeding couple have earned some privilage.

A: No.No.No. When you were... four-six years old did you want to think of ucky things such as mating? Well neither does your Loure.

The Loures of Olde were a content bunch, wandering around what became and is still known as the United States of America.. While their exact location before they migrated to Lourdes Valley is unknown the most accepted belief deals with the Catskill Mountains. Rip Van Winkle - probably the most notorious man to make it so close but become deterred (for a hundred years at that,) drew the most attention to the sweet Loures escape route, even if he failed to make it to Lourdes Valley.

Ahh, but I'm getting ahead of myself, something had to make them move away in the first place.

Settlers.
Settlers.
Settlers.

Native Americans roamed the land almost as long as the Loures did before settlers came, but the much gentler Native Americans accepted that the Loure were happy to live alone and recieved respect and a status of beautiful creatures not meant for taming or hunting.

The pilgrims that perished at Jamestown paid no attention to the Loure, and the Loure did the same to them. Of course, all of this changed when the pilgrims aboard the Mayflower settled and the land began to flourish.

Before long men began to trample down what had once been sacred and pure, even some lands considered holy by the Loure were smashed down and filled with the hairless smelly beings, humans.

These were rough times for the Loure and one and all had begun to feel that their lives would soon come to a stop, and a feeling of, "Freedom or Death" became the whispered war-cry of the young and old alike. A few of the baby Loure were taken and bred to mixed breeds of small ponies creating the distant relative, Shetland ponies, which the Loure so closely resemble but most were not willing to go into slavery for the humans. So, the elders gathered together one day ontop of a grassy slope and spoke, their hearts laden with troubles and fears a plan began to unhold that day. It was whispered that a shunned Gypsy Loure could do great magic and possibly end the troubles of the people. The problem was that this Gypsy had been thrown out so heartlessly, that upon her exit she spat on the ground and wished a pained life for all that had treated her unkindly.

The most accpeting of the elders knew she was their last hope and went to her, this Gypsy, Essmie and begged and pleaded with her to work her magic and create a safe-haven for the Loure. Embittered and aging, Essmie spat on the ground and cried out her curses to the heavens but this elder went back everyday to beg, and after what seemed a lifetime the aging Essmie was moved by the devotion of the Loure's Elder.

Essmie began to do what she could, but the settlers had made too much progress to repell them and without learning the strange English tongue they had no way to communicate.. Essmie worked herself to her grave to save those that had scorned her.... and upond her death a faint purple glow gathered around the base of the Catskill mountains. One by one the Loure followed that path, hoping and believing in the once outcast Gypsy. For days they walked, growing tired and lightheaded from the altitude and just when hope was faded and worn another faint sprinkling of purple began at the entrance of what is now Lourdes Valley.

Essmie had provided, she had saved them from becoming a broken species.

About the entrances of Lourdes Valley for those that enter or exit, if you stare hard enough the faint glittering purple words may be read...

Fear and Injustice Nearly Distinguished Our Flame,
Forgiveness and Kindness Made it Burn Anew.
Welcome the strange, sick, and weird,
Remember what they might do for you.

These words are the only reason why humans that manage to wander so far up are allowed to live, some have been expelled in the past.. but for the most part the Loure are growing to love the humans that travel in and out.

Lourdes Valley or Valley of the Lourdes, both of which are names that the Loure use, it really just depends on the pony, isn't a lush green paradise nor is it a barren wasteland.. it's simple Lourdes.

The temperature is chilly all year round which works well with the Loure's thick coats, winter's can seem bitterly cold to humans and just cold to the Loure.

The grass of Lourdes isn't thick and abundant and must be almost rationed, luckily it's so nutrient rich that the sturdy little guys thrive on the low amount of food. Trees also are uncommon in Lourdes Valley, but plenty of rocks and ledges are around for nosy little colts and fillies to explore.

All-in-all it's a lovely land, with extremely clean air from altitude and robust ponies from learning to deal with the low-air content. Just be careful the Loure are a spirited bunch and if you don't watch they'll give you a lovely n**.

Background story: Swirly's father has been diagnosed with pancreatic caner (no pity/etc.. He will fight it) and because of that I want to do an event in respect of those who have had/have cancer or a family member that does/lost/survived it.
These will all be auction save for a couple of raffle and some possible non-cancer themed FS.

::Feather::
- You've become the proud watcher of a delicate feather... Please handle with care.. these little things are easily damaged and may alter their tempermant to evil with mis-care!

::Colt/Filly::
- Ye've yourself a frisky little one to frolic with. These little buggers will keep you hopping as they get their legs about them, learn to run and climb and make mischief. Personalities will be forming but still innocent in many ways. Handle with care ~ they're mighty quick to disappear for hours at a time.

::Mare/Stallion::
Stocky, Spiritied, and Independant.. if you've raised you're Loure right they just might tolerate your presence. Now able to mate some will be looking for love and others will be hiding from it. Breeding becomes a part of their life but adventuring and exploring still play key parts in a Loure's Happiness.

::Winged Loure::
The same intelligent, spirited, and stocky ponies with one exception. Wings! They can reach heights of over 200 feet easily and can, with much age and training, get to 300 feet.

::Mer-Loure::
Aquatic!
To the ponies that live on land, these are simply legends. When a land-pony happens to see a flash of a brightly colored fin they always think it's a large fish or their eyes are playing tricks on them. The mer-ponies live below the water in a town of their own. Sort of like an equine Atlantica. Their "special ability" besides living under water is the ability to converse in their own musical language with anything that breathes underwater.

:: The Goodies ::
The Loure are simple enough ponies and don't need fancy names for the good, the bad, the pretty, or the ugly. These are angelic beings that almost never come down to see the others. Pure with never a mean intention they can be trickesters. If they want you to see their way without doing it the 'truly good way' they may meddle a bit. Making you stumble so you don't fall down a hole.. Or something along those lines.

:: The Baddies ::
These are the opposite. Making you stumble so you DO fall into a hole and making sure that the way that they choose to do everything will cause the most damange. These do not, and I do not want to see it, behave in the A-typical "BWHAHAHAHA" way. Subtle evil, blatant evily, semi-evil, etc.. are possible. Okay?
