That's right ... As much a fan of the Sniper (a.k.a. Master) as i am, there was something i noticed wasn't right and am thinking is going to be exploited at some point.
A good, military-trained sniper always tries for headshots - targets more easily killed. However, it that is not the case, it is better to aim for heart or lung.
The "Sniper" did neither.
Case 1 - Johnny K. Thought dead for at least one year, proved to be living as a parasite inside of Gino's body. That's not my point.

Notice that where Johnny was shot, the watch broke. An abdominal shot that was between the kidney and the spleen, if not barely above both. Perhaps lower tip of the lung..
And this was the type of bullet used.

The real life equivalent of this bullet is the .338 Lapua. However, for a distance of at least 2 miles, a more fatal shot would have been delivered with a .50 caliber rifle - especially with an abdominal shot.
Case 2 - Ian, post-trial.

Angle of bullet's exit helps to point probable exit (and entry). At worst, possible lung damage. At best, shattered collarbone and -maybe- some internal bleeding, due to the shot being so close to the trachea.
The case in point which i am trying to make is thus - The Sniper is not a sniper. At best, "she" (there are hints that the Sniper is female) is merely a mercenary with a sniper rifle that fires an equivalent of either a .338 Lapua, a .300 Winchester Magnum, or a 7mm Remington Magnum.
"Her" weapon is something along the lines of this - a Remington SR8 sans the stand.
