Lorette Alysen was a very popular author of children's books and a fantasy series in the tranguil area of Memory Valley, until her husband died. After that, she spent days locked in her room, greiving over the loss. Her husband had died of cancer. Two weeks after the funeral, Lori finally decided move on with life. A few days before he died, her husband had given her a new laptop. Today, she decided to use it.

She had finally finished typing up her newest story, "In the Dawn of a New Day". Lori sat at her dinner table, eating cookies and drinking milk while reading over a typed rough draft of her new book. She set down the book and stood up to go and get some more cookies when her elbow hit the book, causing it to hit the glass of milk. The milk and book tumbled to the ground with a clatter - surprisingly, the glass of milk didn't shatter.

"Oh geez!" She quickly bent down to pick up the book so that the milk would not damage it when suddenly... a mouse like creature poked it's head out from the cover of the book and screamed, "MIEEEULLLK!" while frantically waving a cookie in her face. Lori continued to stare at the book in shock long after the mouse had disappeared back into the book. After about three minutes, she shrieked, "OHMYGAWD."

After her encounter with the screaming mouse, Lori began spotting spilled milk and cookie crumbs all around her house. She'd occasionally see a little furry body skitter across the room or hear the 'sqeak' of a rodent. The young author spent night after night wondering what that... thing was and how it had popped out of her book.

About three weeks later, Lori gave a small pair of clothes to the mouse. In exchange, the mouse agreed to stop trying to steal her milk-- although she forgot to tell him to stop messing with her cookies.

January 23, 2007, Lorette Alysen's new picture book hit the shelves of the local bookstore...

1. Book: You're reading one of the award winning novels by Loriette Alyson when BAM! This THING pops it's head out of the front cover and screams, "MIIIEULLLLLLLK!" while waving a cookie in your face. Disturbing? Uh, yeah.

2. Youngster: After that freaky encounter with the screaming book, you've been noticing little pawprints around the house, along with puddles of milk and cookie crumbs! D: And where the heck are all your milk and cookies going?

3. Full-Grown: You've traded a pair of (very small) clothing to the mouse and it agreed to stop raiding your pantries and stealing your favorite late night snack. >__>; At this stage, the thing can now breed. Great. More milk-and-cookies stealing rodents.

Flatsale Rules
Do not post your forms until GO or some other form of startoff is posted in large, colored letters.
Proxies are allowed.
Only one mouse per person. However, if you are proxying you may get one for yourself as well as one for your friend.
Send your trade within 24 hours!
Flatsales are usually 700g.

Please don't god-mod.
Roleplaying can be done in either the main thread or the guild.
Roleplay is required in order to breed your mouse.
Serious roleplay is done in third person.
Remember, this is all for fun! No hard feelings if someone else's mouse hates yours.

Info
All roleplay takes place on good old Earth. No half-elf-half-fox characters, please.
All mice speak English, although they can learn other languages.
You can roleplay your mouse in either a human's house or in the outside world. Almost all mice have taken up residence in a human's home, although not all of them interact with the human.

These mice... don't breed like normal mice do. o__.; If two mice are in love, and they both want children, then the female of the two will get pregnant-- no interaction required. After a few weeks (the number of weeks varies) the female will wake up, completely unpregnant, and- surprise! Some books will be at the foot of her bed! Out of these books, of course, will come their babies.
Now, the only way a female can get pregnant is if both parents-to-be want it! Whether the desire for children is pronounced or more subconscious, there are no mistakes amongst these.
Of course, a mouse can't randomly get pregnant with another mouse's kids just because they both wanted children. That would be weird. .___.;;

Since their baby-making requires nothing that our baby-making requires (yeah, I know what you're thinking. get your mind out of the gutter there) there's most likely a way for same-sex couples to have babies. ;D However, since there are no same-sex couples as of yet, we still don't know how they breed. Oh well.

Remember, you can only breed your mice if you've roleplayed enough! If you want a breeding slot but haven't RPed enough, the colorist will tell you. No hard feelings, you just need to roleplay more. :3

When mice breed, they have somewhere between 2 and 4 babies - although if the mice RP a super lot there might just be more!
Only full-grown mice can breed.
Breeding costs 4k, that's 2k from each owner.
PM Lori` with your breeding request. Remember to say which two mice are going to breed, and which colorist you want-- make sure to check that that colorist has an open slot.
After the books are, uh, discovered, the owners of the two proud parents decide what to do with them. Each owner can claim one or two books. After that, remaining books are either raffled off (often it will be a newbie raffle) with profits split between colorist and parent owners, or the owners can hold a free event in the guild. These are always fun!
Mice owned by the same person can't breed together. Since they'd be like adopted siblings, they'd both have to have a desire for incest and that's just plain gross.
If two cosplay mice are a canonship or an extremely popular pairing, they cannot breed with any other cosplay. However, any cosplay is free to breed with a normal mouse, and two cosplays not in any couplings can breed with each other.
