one of my friends sent a letter to gaia@friends saying "check this out" and in the messege there was a weird link.

it was a logging page on gaia, but i already was logged in and my avi was on the upper right...
i pressed log in without filling my username or password, and i got to gaia homepage.

then i found out i had a gaia@friends letter in my sent box saying "check this out" with that link o..o

wtf?

That, my friend, is a phishing scam. They are infamous on MySpace and now they are being used on Gaia, too.

Okay, you should report the person, then run a spyware scan just to be on the safe side. If you didn't enter your password, you SHOULD be okay. The "Login" button was more than likely a link to the Gaian homepage after it saved your username and pass. Since you were already logged in, your avi appeared.

my avi appeared on that page with the login! rolleyes thats why its weird.
ill run a scan...
and i cant report my friend xd its not her fault.. she got it the way i did too

I got the PM, too, and clicked the link, but I have Adblock on, and the form didn't load.

My friend replied to the PM I sent straight after and said it was caused to send to her friendlist by clicking the link. o__O;;

First off - DO NOT LOG IN using that page.

It's more than likely the Gaia header with your character info etc to lull you into security, and the bottom frame would be a password theft site. If you entered your password, CHANGE IT NOW.

Just delete this message, and the next time you get one, ask your friends who it was from. If enough people co-operate, we may be able to track it.

i did not log in. i just pressed log in without filling anything, to see what will happen.

i did not give me pass away, and yeah, probably half gaia half other site..

i did delete, and my firend said it was from a post in the forums. ill ask her to report the post
