NEWS AND UPDATES
31 May 2007 - From Remus J. Lupin-Black: Discussion for Order of the Phoenix will likely go on into June due to the length of the novel. Discuss for Half-Blood Prince will also extend on into July as well and of course, Deathly Hallows will probably take over the bloody subforum after the twenty-first of July. I highly suggest that anyone that hasn't read Deathly Hallows avoid the Internet until they finish the book as this thread will most definately contain spoilers and I will not be writing in white to protect those foolish enough to wander around on Gaia reading things. I will not baby you guys (or force you to highlight everything I read).
1 February 2007 - From Remus J. Lupin-Black: Well, a new month and not only are we starting in on discussions about Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, we've also got the release date for Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows. All ready this month is looking quite good for us fanits so let's keep it that way. Remember the rules and all of that fun stuff.
21 January 2007 - From Sirius Black-Lupin: Well, it's no wonder a lot of you haven't been included and a good portion of you won't be included until you reread the first post and sign up properly. Alot of you got a break, having posted on the top of the page, the bottom of the page, above or under people who signed up properly or wrote in red. So it's your own problem - you read Harry Potter - go read the first post again
21 January 2007 - From Sirius Black-Lupin: Life, it's something a lot of don't claim to have as we sit in a Harry Pooter Forum and discuss the books. I, for one, don't have one, between school and school--I find it difficult and over whelming at times to come in here and discuss--but not everybody is the same way. Some of us have lives out side our avatars and they may not be good at the moment. We know quite a few of you have not seen your names on the member list. We know this. And we apologize, but we do not have access to everybody's account to make neccessary updates. The person in charge of that does have a life, and currently it doesn't involve the readathon. So here's what's going to happen. I, (Sirius Black-Lupin) will make a temporary post out of on of our reserved posts with all of your names on it--PM me if you don't see your name. And until we can get our beloved Alecto back, you people will just have to deal with me waiting for every five pages. Got it? Any complaints need to be sent to Sirius Black-Lupin. Thank you.
31 December 2006 - From Sirius Black-Lupin: We're almost at the New Year, which means we'll be starting soon. Just some things to note: Remus J. Lupin-Black and Sirius Black-Lupin probably won't start reading Book 1 for about another week, merely because it's a short book, and they have busy schedules. You may, of course, start reading any time, but as it might be a bit of a stretch trying to fill all of January with nothing but Book 1--our suggestion is wait. The site where the art is from has been credited in the first post (that was a bit of last minute forgetfulness there, we apologize). So now you may all go squee over the lovely art. Please, please do not quote the first few posts. It just makes things look scattered and strange. We don't want to add this as a permanent rule, so please use your common sense. Finally, Sirius Black-Lupin got an email from the Leaky Cauldron's Leaky Lounge (she completely forgot she was in there) advertising their New Book Club where...get this, they'll be reading one book a month. Whoops. We would just like to note that none of us forsaw this, we did not steal the idea in any way, it was just great minds thinking alike. If you're interested in their discussions, go on over to the Leaky Lounge, you will notice some differences, they are giving two months to the Order of the Phoenix and in July will be reading the HBP, as Sirius Black-Lupin has already reserved her copy of tDH at Borders, and was told that the predicted date would be in July, we moved our schedule accordingly so that it wouldn't be taken up if Jo's dream of 7/7/07 did come true. So yes. Glad to see so many people signing up. Get your friends involved!
