It seemed kind of silly, to be dedicating simple pictures and stories to them, but it was the best I could think of.


Oaxu was an idea that came to me from a character I had made for a Role Playing forum I had joined. Unintentionally I started developing a sort of world behind this character's past, and different races alongside his, which was of my own creation.

This B/C shop, currently only an interest thread, is that idea come to life. Here I'll be looking for suggestions, ideas, and people to employ. Note that I cannot do this on my own. Anyone who wishes to apply, please do so! ^^ And all donations are loved greatly, as it'll be a bit expensive to purchase a guild and also we'll need funds for things such as banners and certs. So please, help out in any way you can, even if it's just a kind bump to help push us along a little.

We're pretty much set with our crew. We do have room for another Roleplay Manager, though.

We are extremely poor at the moment. While most funds will come from pets being sold, we need money to start out with. We need money for:

Concept


Oaxu, like most, if not all B/C shops, has a story behind it. It's own characters, world, etc. There's plenty of information that is needed. Some of this is still being worked on so if it sounds a little sketchy at the moment, please forgive me. Any ideas or suggestions are loved! <3


Story


Long ago, a great Goddess created the land of Oaxu. It was, admittably, your typical creation. She spread her magic about the lands, giving life and structure to the world. And she created the people of Oaxu. They were beautiful, each and every one. And each race had it's own strengths and weaknesses.

But there was a flaw in her precious planning of this world. When she had created the races of Oaxu, she had made each with a counter part, in hopes they would need to work together. But the differences between the races caused more harm than anything. The races split. Dark, and light. They were at constant battle. They refused to work together.

The Goddess was ashamed of the world she had created. She had used almost all her power in creating these races in hope they would create a beautiful world together. Instead, they were destroying it. So she used the last of her magic to hold a peace between dark and light.

For many years now, this magic has kept the dark and light from destroying Oaxu anymore. But the magic is fading. The peace between the two is no longer holding, and soon, fighting may once more begin.

You are the children of the great Goddess Oaxu. You live in her world, and you must choose. Are you of dark, or are you of light? You were born either way, without a choice, but you do have a choice. Will you continue this battle between light and dark, or will you be one of the few who try to bring the peace back with your own magic? The magic of the heart?


Setting


There will be different places to Role Play in the world of Oaxu. The majority of the world is taken up by a forest. There are many towns, however, some big, some small, as through the years of "peace" the races have learned many things and are no longer kept to the forests.

Currently, no exact setting has been created, other than that. All help would be loved on this. <3


Characters


There are several races in Oaxu. Each has it's own powers and appearances, and alliance. If anyone has any suggestions for more races, please state them.

XXXXXThe Crows - Dark
The Crows. Perhaps the most evil of all the races. The Crows tend to think they are in charge of all. They are nasty and cruel of personality, typically born with hair of black or white and red eyes, and have the ability to shift into any bird of their linking, crows and ravens being their liking, and other birds with the evil eye. They keep to the forests, but when they do come into towns, they tend to bring trouble with them. They are usually tall, thin, and fiercly beautiful, but deadly. They are also very strong physically. Some crows also have wings, though it's an uncommon factor. The Crows show their evil spirits early on in childhood, almost from birth. It seems the only people they get along with are of their own race, though they bicker quite often as well. As they grow older, their evil shows through even more, as they try to conquer the other races as the Goddess' magic grows weaker. People often suspect that the Crows have some sort of mental abilities that aid them in their evil, however the truth to this rumor is that only the most elderly and powerful develop mental powers.

XXXXXSarus - Light
The Sarus are much more interactive than the Crows. They love to be around others and are much more kind. They're not the cruel, nasty people that the Crows are. They are usually born with pale flesh and red hair, and are bulkier than the Crows, despite they're named of the graceful cranes. They too can shift into bird shape, and prefer the crane, obviously, as well as other white birds. They usually are born with white wings. It is more common for a Sarus to be born with wings than a Crow. The Sarus are known for helping people much. They often try to stand up against the Crows, though it usually ends in failure, for their lack of power and cruelty. They develop no abilities other than their natural ability to shift into bird shape, thus they have fewer advantages against their counterparts.

XXXXXAnwen - Dark
While they are the dark counterparts, the Anwen really aren't as evil as most of the dark races. They are more kind than most, though there are exceptions. They are born with ears quite like those of a cats, though slightly longer and flopping down instead of sticking up, and extremely long and very strong prehensile tails, and usually have grey or blue hair and eyes. They are small and physically weak other than their tails, but their biggest strength is their ability to camouflage instantly. To make up for their weakness, they are quite fast and somewhat acrobatic. Almost cat-like, they are. Some are born with fur, and others are completely human in appearance save their tails and ears. Some of the Anwen have been known, despite their less than cruel behaviour, to join up in bands of assassins or theives. This is simply because, with their small bodies, agility and camouflaging abilities, these jobs suit them perfectly.

Ehalu - Light
The light counterparts of the Anwen, Ehalu are even more kind and cheerful. They look quite similar to the Anwen, however they are usually born with blonde or white hair and white or gold eyes. They also have flopping ears, but their tails are shorter and less strong than those of the Anwen, and, the opposite of the Anwen, are more physically strong and somewhat larger, as well as slower. The Ehalu are able to make themselves intangible, so as to walk through solid objects. They are known to like to have fun, however a great deal of the Ehalu have taken up jobs as shopkeepers and the like.

XXXXXHazuiel - Dark
The Hazuiel are very bad and evil at their first stage of life. They bite, throw things, and anything else they can manage to do. When they get older and mature, they tend to outgrow that evil stage and become a 'Lesser Evil' - only resorting to tricks and pranks on anyone they can, sometimes getting a little too carried away. Hazuiel are each very different from one another; They all look like hodgepodges of a hooved creature, and a regular pawed animal plus usually something crazy mixed in. However all share the common feature of long, prehensile tongues that are occasionally forked. The females all have pouches and tufts/poofs at the ends of their tails and ears. The males have neither of these qualities. It's very common for this species to be born with two different coloured eyes. They love shiny objects, and as such often have plenty of jewelry and piercings. They love to show off their very flexible nature - most of them being skilled contortionists by the time they've reached adulthood. They also have the ability to change themselves to very small sizes, as to aid in their mischief. But they can't go larger than their actual size. Their markings are generally mirrored on each limb, but sometimes they just carry the markings of one of the species they're a combination of. Just like the Katous, the Haziuel have 'bad eggs' that never outgrow that stage in their life. This seems to be sparked when they are born with two same coloured eyes, generally red or gold, and their tongue is forked. They also tend to sport horns and various spikes on parts of their body, especially their tails which they'll wildly swing about in crowds in hopes of hurting other people.

XXXXXKatous - Light
Katou's are the "Darker side of the Light" who think they're better than everyone else. You can sense their innocence and good when they're younger, and they dress more sloppily. But as they get older you notice how less and less of the 'good' they show as they constantly bicker among one another as to who's best in every way. Who has the nicest home, who dresses the nicest, etc. They seem to favor victorian-style clothing. When they're younger, they have magical attributes - think alchemy or healing type magic - but unlike other species, their magic fades as they get older as they loose touch with their 'good' side and worry more about material things. There are the occasional 'good eggs' who never seem to go towards what the rest of the species likes, and concentrates on their magic skills and often become healers of the village, as to not be outcast too badly from everyone else.

Both races are not born with hair, only 'headfluff' ... The Hazuiel don't usually care, but the Katous are often known to sport wigs.

Stages


Currently the idea for the stages is your usual:

-Child
-Pre-teen
-Teenager
-Adult

Or something of the sort. We may or may not actually do it this way. All suggestions we'll take, as all help on this is needed.

Keep in mind that all the pets will be custom drawn. There will not be a lineart set that will just be colored differently. Each pet will be unique and specially drawn different from any of the others. There are no duplicates.

Artist


A note on artists: How much these go for is going to depend on the quality of art coming from the artist(s). More than likely Flat Sales are going to be around the 10k mark, give or take a little. It all depends, as said. Customs are going to be quite expensive as these are all unique linearts, so you'll be getting payed very well indeed.

Oaxu is going to need at least one, but preferably two or three artists for the shop. You are going to be needing to do several things. If you cannot live up to these expectations, please do not apply.

-Be able to draw customs as they are requested when they are open.
-Be able to finish on time.
-Have some creativity.
-Be able to draw full bodies and not just headshots or bust shots.
-Be able to draw these uniquely and not all copies of each other.
-It'll be helpful if you can ink. (Not required.)
-Hang out around the thread and not be a ghost that pops out the art randomly.

You will get the following out of being an artist.

-50% of everything you draw.
-At least one free custom to start out with. (Only if full or part time. Guest may or may not get a free character or discount.)

--An audible sigh escaped Sunchai's lips, her violet eyes closed in silent though. Her slender fingers massaged her temples gently, a frown plastered on her face, vampiric fangs visible just over her lower lip. The clamor around her had died down a little, as less people were in the room now. Shifting a bit on the stool she was seated on, the bounty hunter craned her neck to gaze at the other Gaians milling about conversing, socializing, and the like. She scowled at them, how naieve they were, acting as if their worlds were perfect in every way. Grabbing her pitchfork, leaned against the counter, she downed the last of her water and stood, scarf swirling about her limber legs as she turned to leave.

"Damn humans." she growled quietly, pushing the door open. The bell rang quietly, almost innocently, making the vampire grimace. "They're so... supercilious and obnoxious..."

Do you have any previous experience? I'll go into detail this time. My first shop crashed, due to the fact someone gave me stolen line art, but the shop lived for 3 months. I set up 2 shops, Mingan Wolves, and a pixel shop that crashed. I then started up Ocean of Fire in February, which is still working today! I opened Hyenas at Dusk, which is slowly taking form by a friend. I join bidded with Kalifang, and Faidrae, and now the three of us own The City! I color at Little Stinkers, Tian Di, and I've applied to this one, and another shop to draw familiars at. :3

Why do you want to work for Oaxu? Well, Jui is gonna be running the shop, and I really want to have a shop with you! :3 I also really want to have my art out in a shop, and I think this shop will give me the chance. I don't just want to be an artist, because I feel that I can help more.
What makes you suitable for this job? My insane inspired brain. When I saw the thread, I didn't know you made it, but the idea was amazzzzinnngg. So I start to apply, and then saw you made the idea. But anyways, I'm good with making layouts, I can do almost anything on the computer. Except for inking, digitally. I generally have new ideas, and I'm always creating characters. So I could whip up some cool characters.

Do you have any previous experience? As an RP Manager, no. But over the past few years, I have been the co-owner of a very successful guild (that went through an extended guild war..Dx) on another interactive site. I also own a guild on gaia, and am a crew member in several others.

Why do you want to work for Oaxu? Dark/Light has always been a favored subject/idea of mine. Oaxu seems like a good place to find that.
What makes you suitable for this job? I am extremely committed once I am hooked. I always meet the high standards I set for myself, and though I do not have specific RP Managing experience, I have met other areas of responsibility. I am also very literate, and I try to put a deeper meaning behind what I write. <3

No. She could no longer keep it up. It was one thing for her to suppress the wrong emotions, but when her entire life's course had been changed by someone like him...Her laughter subsided and both hands flew to her face.

Evithe rushed out of the room, down the empty hall and into the gardens, before he could see her collapse completely. Taking the longest way, the sounds of her footsteps and strangled sobs melted into the snow.

Once she was deep into the garden, the grieving geisha knelt and wept.
The snow muffled her heaving sobs. She had not cried so hard for ten years. What a pitiful creature she must look like now, weeping alone in a storm of snow.

The white on the ground seemed to mock her...how could it be so innocent and happy?

Why do you want to work for Oaxu? Kyjoto finds my art to be quite wonderful, and I hear that you need another artist. I have alot of time on my hands, or so I think, to draw. I love drawing, and I think my style will compliment, and work well with the other artist's styles.

Do you have any previous experience? Yes, I'm the owner of Geisha Dreams, I work as an artist and colorist there, and I'm the roleplaying manager there.

Why do you want to work for Oaxu? Well, the first reason is that it will be a good, advanced roleplaying site. That alone, is a big plus. Two, the idea is so creative and fun, and I think with good plots/ideas that the shop could become quite popular and active.
What makes you suitable for this job? Im a pretty good roleplayer, I'm creative, and I love this shop Idea.

Yuna's gaze was stuck on Anna's features as he stared at her, and for once Yuna felt her own gaze fall. Anna's questions though, were quite a bit different that what she supected. She thought he would just get up and leave, not sit there and ask if she was embarrassed. The words made her face flush as she listened to him, and then his next words.

What the hell was he to her? Yuna didn't know how to answer to that and for a few moments kept her tounge quite. But then, she allowed herself to speak, as calm as always. "Well Anna... I'm not sure... to be truthful I...." SHe said, truthful to herself for once and then she quickly noticed what she was about to say. "I mean.. oh god.. Forgive me..." She said bowing her head quickly to him. Her voice quickly became just above a wisper as she answered his earlier question.

"Anna, I am the servent always... So... being dressed like this isn't so bad to me... after all, I should enjoy life while I can." She said, her voice taking a deep sadness at those few last words. She quickly shook her head again. "I'm sorry... Forget what I said." She mumbled to him quickly as a voice came in from the doorway, and the image of Yunaki bounce into the room.

Yuna quickly smiled over to the girl, and nodded her head, "I would love to Yunaki-sama." She said with a grin, as she got up off the floor in a quick movement. Her head bowed to Anna now, "I'll talk to you latter I guess, goodbye Anna." She said now heading out of her room to the hallway, and turning to Yunaki, "So... what color of Kimono are you intrested in?" She asked kindly to her.

Role Playing Sample - Sami raced through the undergrowth. She could feel the lethal poison slowly making it's way through her gentle veins, and the girl knew that the end was nearing for her. Her bird-like, teal wings fluttered softly, but wouldn't lift her off the ground, as the poison had already struck there. Her vision started to darken, and she felt herself falling to the ground. And then, she could feel no more.

Do you have any previous experience? I don't have any professional experience, and I can't recall any unofficial experience besides simply roleplaying and editing bajillions of people's writing in class.

What makes you suitable for this job? I'm very fussy, and when I look for things, I'm usually very thorough. I'm a sort of neat freak, whether it's my room or what kind of stuff's being posted on things. (The only problem about my room is that I'm sort of a physical packrat) I like to write/roleplay, and I like reading all kinds of things, whether it's Sherlock Holmes, or deciphering txt talk.

First off, we need to hire everyone, but aside from that, there'll be a few things to get done.

As soon as we get one or more artists and colorists, we can start on making the crew member's first characters. Artists and colorists will get pay for these even though crew members get them for free, if artists and colorists so request. If you are willing to do the crew characters for free, that's great, but I will not insist them be free. All crew characters will be done before we open the actual shop. (Just one reason for why we're going to need donations!)

Once a co-owner and maybe some of the others are hired, we need to start thinking about our grand opening event. Flat Sale? Auction? Raffle? Giveaways? A mix of these and/or others? Who knows!

Crew customs! Right now, there's no exact price for customs, but the idea for the crew customs is just to ask the artist and colorist how much they'd like for the customs. They'll be payed using funds from the mule or money from Juichi's main account. n_____n Please! If you are accepted as a co-owner, RP manager, part-time or full-time artist or colorist, and you've been told you get a free custom, fill out this form and PM it to the mule so one of the artists can draw it and a colorist color it for you. :3 (Forms will be a little different for non crew-members.)
