Welcome

Welcome to the unnoficial Digimon World DS thread

The basic Idea is to gather all Digimon World DS fans, set up a trade center and maybe a battle center ;D

Story
Sometime in the 21st century, the rapid developments in computer technology have spawned, in the Digital World, various life forms known as Digital Monsters. In the real world, it has been rumored that these facts were covered up by the DATS organization under the National Public Safety Commission. To check out the rumors, the main character and some friends sneak into the school computer room, whereupon the main
character is transported to the Digital World.

F.A.Q

Black Resistance
Isn't it supposed to be an online game?

It uses Wi-fi, yes. With Wi-fi you can match Digimon (Breeding..I think)

Goulashia
Is it actually any good? I liked playing that Digimon World game for PS1, but never played anything else.

Yup ;D Its excellent, it starts off a little slow, as do most RPG's, but once you get into, its really good

Psst, I loved the one on PS1 too

Dictionary!
Degenerate - Lowering your Digimon to a lesser generation, also effecting it's current level though, say you degenerated a Mega to a In-Training, the In-Training Digimon is Level 3......and let's say your Mega is level 50
By Degenerating it will turn into that in-training Digimon, SOME of it's stats will be lowered, which means it will be a VERY strong Digimon, and as you level it up, it's stats will increase, by the time you raise it to the Mega level you had at level 50, the Mega will have more then three times the original strength it had.

Power-Leveling - Having Low level Digimon you want to level quickly, in your Relief section of your party. Your main part consists of powerful Digimon, prefferebly, ones who can't reach any higher levels unless you degenerate them, in other words, ones who can't level up any more, meaning all your relief Digimon get the split amount of EXP, if theres 3 or 2 Relief Digimon, it splits between them, if theres only one Relief Digimon, it will gain all the EXP gained in battle.

Camping - Staying in a certain area until a Digimon you want appears, or power leveling a low leveled one, or defeating Digimon constantly until a desired item or weapon is obtained.

Generations - The stages of your Digimon, AKA, the Digivolutions, In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, and Mega. these are the Generations.

Species - The class/type of a Digimon, such as Agumon being a Dragon, Gaomon being a Beast, and Raramon being an Insect/Plant.

S. Exp - S. Exp is the Species EXP gained from battles, certain amounts of them are required for Digivolution...for example, MetalGreymon needs over 5000 Darkness EXP to turn into a Blackwargreymon. You can increase the EXP through either Farm Goods, or Battling Digimon of that type with MetalGreymon.

Digi-Farm - The place where you raise and store your Digimon, place Farm Goods as well to help your Digimon gain EXP, you can also talk to them to see what they're like using the "Talk to Digimon" Command and moving the cursor with a touch-pen, and selecting a Digimon on the farm, the Digimon can also give you a quest.

Farm Goods - Farm Goods are an important part of raising your Digimon, they need to be entertained, and some need to work out, for example.....the farm Good "Log" is used for Digimon to practice their attacks on, it's effect allows their Attack points to increase.

Tamer Rank - The rank of your tamer as he or she progresses through the game, the ranks go in this order: Bronze Tamer, Silver Tamer, Gold Tamer, Platinum Tamer, and Tamer King.
