Versailles has been hard at work decorating the warehouse for Christmas! Come here to exchange presents, sing, and rip things apart! Annabel Lee is in the corner making cookies... wouldn't it be mischevious to make her job a bit harder? >D

"Ah, bella," Asterius replied, his cheeks coloring a little more. Apart from learning a lot about gardening from Coco, he also picked up on the Italian that sneaked into the old telapath's "speach". He was always calling Asterius "piccolo une" but unlike the other "little ones" Asterius never really minded.

"Bella?" Versailles turned around to go put some wreaths in random areas (in a chair, on the floor, any place that looked like it needed some cheer).

"That sounds a bit French... we use the word belle... does it mean the same thing? What language is that?"

"Yes, please!" Versailles nodded as she scrambled to a nearby box and pulled out a large bag of tinsel. She opened it up with a 'pop' and sat it near Asterius' hooves.

"Do you think you could spread this everywhere?"

She went back to her wreaths and flicked her tail back and forth, "Italian... I've never been to Italy. Who is Coco?"

Asterius nodded and reclosed the bag as best he could. He took the top in his mouth and walked over to the coffee table, a good place to start. He set the bag down, reopened it and sat back, balancing on his back legs as he picked up some tinsel and started spreading it over the table.
"Coco's an old friend of Reesie's. He says he's her familiar, but they're friends, too. But he doesn't say anything. You hear his words in your head," Asterius explained as he spread the tinsel around.
"Like this?" he asked over his shoulder at Versailles.

"Yes, that works very well!" said Versailles, her English still rather awkward, "Just like that, and this room will be beautiful!"

She threw the last of the wreaths on one of the pillows.

The quiet little monster continued his slow work of walking from one place to another, putting up the tinsel until there was none left to put up and the room shined silvery. He went digging through the box, looking for something he had and idea for. Finding what he needed, he called back to Versailles.
"Still have the rose?" he asked, not pulling his head out of the box when he spoke.

Versailles rose a claw to her head of petals and pulled out the rose that Asterius had given her.

"Yes, I have it here... why?" she tilted her head before walking over beside Asterius. She tried to peek in the box that he was looking in, but couldn't see anything due to his mane.

Asterius took the flower and with a flick of his wrist and flash of sharp claws trimmed the long stem. He then very carefully took out the velvet red ribbon he had found and tied the rose to Versailles' wrist.
"There, now you can see it," he said, since before he couldn't notice it in her petals.

Versailles beamed as she held the wrist corsage up to the lights of the Christmas lights outside.

"It's beautiful, Asterius. Even moreso than before," she nodded, "Thank you very much. I will always wear it... or at least, for as long as I can."
