Libero
I'm hoping the layout of this thread is pretty simple; the first post is some brief FAQs and a run-down of what I'm looking for etc, the second small profiles of the two main characters and the third a very brief outline of the story and its setting without giving too much away. xd
What is this thread for?
"Libero" is something based on roleplay between myself and a very good friend of mine -- from whom I have permission to do everything, don't worry -- that I started toying with a couple of months back in hopes that I could string it together in a proper storyline and present it in a game-like fashion. However, I don't think the jump to game is going to work too well as I'm never going to be able to program it and I'd rather not see the universe go to waste, so I thought it might be interesting to see how it'd hold up if converted to an anime/manga/comic style. It was always roleplayed with that kind of style in mind, so hopefully the transition should be pretty fluid.
Now, I may have the entire storyline planned in my head and some ability to write scripts, but I can't draw anything besides stickmen to save my life; that's where you come in. I'm looking for an artist. I'm not sure whether we'd be running with the webcomic or lets-get-published mode of operations yet, but that's simply because I don't really know how interested other people would be in the characters and how well things are going to go in general. Also dependant on the artist, obviously.
I'm an artist! What is required of me?
If I like your ideas, you like mine and we find ourselves working together, we will come to an arrangement involving no payment per-se but some level of partnership or shared ownership of the finished product.
What I'm really looking for is somebody that would be willing to spend time talking to me, get to grips with the characters, the world they live in and everything like that and really plan things as much as possible whilst remaining dedicated to the project. I understand that people have real lives -- I myself will be going back to University in three weeks and my free time is somewhat limited -- so by 'dedicated' I don't mean necessarily working on it every day or x days a week, just not running off midway through production because you've lost interest.
Oh, and interest in the project is a must; you're unlikely to give it your best shot if you're not interested in the characters and don't like the storyline, right?
Another big thing is how much I like you personally; I'd quite like to have a close working relationship with whichever artist gets chosen so I'd feel comfortable putting my characters in their hands. Nothing too surprising, I'm sure you agree.
Okay okay, how do I apply already?
Simple; just fill in this form and post it here. Don't pester me by PM. If I want to talk to you privately, I'll initiate it.

Mother Tongue: What's your first language?
Examples of My Work: DeviantArt? Past manga/comics?
Libero Art: This isn't required, but it'd be damn awesome if you could throw together a quick sketch of one of the two characters outlined in the profiles below so as to give me an idea of how you'd treat them. Obviously I won't say "You drew them wrong" or anything, becuase without my input you can't be expected to know everything; I just think it'd be interesting.
Why I'm Interested: I don't expect an essay here, just something to let me know you're serious about it and what part of what I've written grabbed you.
