There has been a response to why there isn't a bald yet! Juno gave some reasons why here. I'll still leave this up though, I think it's useful to show support for a potential item (er...option?).

I want my bald!

What is this all about, you ask? This is about having a bald hairstyle option on Gaia, as much of an oxymoron as that is.

This was brought about by the brief but beautiful glitch caused by the release of the UFO in November 2006. For a short while, if you placed the ufo in the position on your head, you were bald. The avi you see on the right hand side? That's what I looked like. It was glorious.

As with all good things, it was short lived. The glitch was fixed within a few hours. Those of us who had it went as long as possible without resaving our outfits. Mine finally disappeared one morning when I logged on and found my avi naked (or rather in her gray undies) except for the hair. Obviously, she had a wild night while I was sleeping surprised

And there it ended. At least, for a while. I still love my bald, and want it back. Not just as a glitch, either. I'd like to be able to use it whenever I want, and for anyone else to be able to, without having some trick of items that make it happen. So why not have a bald option in the salon? Are you with me, or are you with me?



Why Bald?

Why bald, you ask? Well, for one thing, I just like the way it looks blaugh . But there are other reasons one could go bald.

It's useful under certain hats and head items, where hairstyles poke out awkwardly, adding colors that you don't want or just making it look dumb. Going bald would solve that.

Also, I've seen a petition by a person with cancer to get cancer patient related items. Baldness was on her list, for those who wanted to show that they are chemotherapy patients or to show solidarity with someone they know who is.
