this is a petition for a Gaia Online battle arena for the Nintendo Wii.

my hopes is this lasts long enough on top to convince the admins to make a site home game for the Nintendo Wii.

I already have a number of features, fighting styles, weapons, and engine to devulge in my idea of one.

Basic story: two random users(any two users randomly generated for an intro) are seen threatening eachother to violence and chase eachother, two NPC's(Johnny K Gambino and Gino Gambino) think how to make a profit off of this, and make a battle arena for it. users gather from all around Gaia to watch and fight, two users fight with swords and clash, while two more users fire blasts of angelic and demonic arrows to eachother trying to hit. Johnny ang gino grin as their profits rise from gambling on the matches. soon the NPC's get in on the fighting, Loganand Edmund start beating the tar out of eachother with grins on their faces, Edmind using a Rapier wraped fine silk while Logan uses a fishing pole in what seems like a sword fight, Santa and Jack duke it out in Christmas VS Halloween kinda fashion of snowballs to flaming pumpkins, and two users charge to eachother to end the intro with the name "GAIA ONLINE BATTLE ARENA" displayed on screen.

fighting options:
as an average Gaiaonline user you can load your user in the arena and fight other users for gold to be spent in stores, or victory credits. win or lose, if you bet on the right user you get big gold.

menu options:
Story Mode: play through each NPC's story in the arena unlocking the NPC's for play at home or online, and/or play through a story you create through your choices, build rivalries, build friendships, earn extra victory credit as you play.

Training Mode: practice your fighting techniques until you have succeeded in what you wish to improve.

Solo Arcade fight: go into an arcade-like series of fights to earn extra credit, and no story to bother you as every opponent is randomly chosen for you to fight.

Multiplayer/Exhabition: see who is the superrior fighter at home, or online, fighting AI operated bots, or other players.

Options: adjust sound, visual, game difficulty, handicap, time limit, health/damage view

Visit site: visit the Gaiaonline site using the browser on the Wii and return to the game any time you like.

Collect Items: go to the in-game store and collect items paid for by your victory credits or exchange credits into gold for use on the site.

Engine:
with a camera behind the user(through options one can change the camera view from 3rd person shoulder to 3rd person behind to 1st person view) you can survey your surroundings. the arenas will be quite large, so there'll be much to destroy. through the different control options one can employ various moves. the arena's will be interactive, meaning if you throw someone onto a conveyer belt on it's way to a probing device, the victim will be zapped for some damage, or you can smash an opponent through a building.

the screen will display 1-4 HUD's, depending on the play mode. displaying either health state(bars that change colors depending on your state), damage percent(indicating how damaged you are), or body map(indicating which area took a hit where and it's condition). through this you can keep an eye on your health and if you're in fighting condition.

Arenas:
a large number of arenas will be at your call, picking from hazard ridden trap-filled hell holes, to hazardless areas.

Durem: a large city, the city(except for shops) are destructable. you start inside any building but the fight remains within the city walls.

Barton: a quaint little village to bust your opponents heads on.

Arena: starting inside the arena in Barton, you can either lock your match within it's walls or make it so Barton is fully accessable.

Aeka: an industrious city with much metal to peel off and crack on your opponents heads.

Open Fields: a wide open area on Gaia where you may get mixed up in other users fights.

TOWNS: simply put, everyone's homes which are indestructable.

JACK's mansion: starting within it's walls which may lead you outside into the halloween-themed yards.

Santa's Christmas Castle: starting within the walls of the reinforced castle, you may find yourself fighting your way outside and into the snow.

Gambling arena: on Isle De Gambino, you fight within a state of the art arena made to take punishment from the likes of pro wrestlers, boxers, and whatever troubles may come to Gaia.

Zurg Ship (airborne): fighting within or atop a Zurg ship you can crash it to the ground.

Zurg Ship: fighting in, on or around it to the open fields you endure the crash, and must fight to prove your dominance.

the more who reply the more people who want ot see this dream realized. post and vote if you like this idea, only vote if you dont have anything to say.

remember, this is to see how many people wanna see this made into a reality.

I hope this catches on for you!
hey if it does catch on then Gaia will have something in another media, and it would make up for Neopets screw-up of a PS2 game.

a Gaiaonline Wii game would be excellent. ^_^
This would be great (if I could get my Wii to connect to the internet... damn firewall!!)

cant you just shut down the firewalls for a bit while you play? I do if there's a site I wanna visit if a firewall is up.

Well of course Im gonna sign it rolleyes a game around gaia would hopefully be more about interaction between people online than the neopets games (played five minutes of one of those at a demo kiosk. I miss those five minutes... I coulda bought a taco during that time)

you were better off with just the taco.

it would make sense to link to Gaia, put some gold up on your own fight, and if you won you'd gain more Gaia gold. no online fee to pay for playing in the battle arena, you just go to the site with your Wii to buy a battle license from the bank, and you'd be able to enter the arena.

the roster would include every Gaia NPC, update with newer NPC's, and there would be a bonus box for the user specific character(namely you), in the character select screen. no listing of how many times you won/lost/tied, that would take extra memory. so if you wanna bring up a Win/Lose/Tie list you'll have to do that yourself in your journal. you can make a personal battlecry or taunts for your custom fighter. using the GC mic you can make voice clips for different things.

I know, "how can you have 4 or more special moves, the button listing says only ONE?" well think the pointer. make your own special moves for your fighter.

custom features for your own fighting style.

stance: pick form the existing fight stances, or pick a leg stance and arm positions monitored by the movements of the Wiimote and Nunchuk.

Strikes: a list of strikes you'll employ for various combos.

Grapple/Throw: the way you grapple your opponent, and that you do to throw them, or you could set this to Wiimote to grab and throw with the Wiimote functioned as your arms. while you have your opponent grappled you can strike them, with the pointer pointed offscreen(up, down, left, or right bars of the screen).

Jump/flight: the animation your character preforms when jumping(choices vary on your attire and your collectable item)

Special attacks: like the grapples/throws minus the whole idea of having to grab them, you bring the pointer to one of the four bars on screen(visible or hidden as selectable in personal options), and you can preform your special attacks. you can also pick animations, or make your own animations.

some new tweaks I may add to the first post.
