As you can see (yes I found a chibi picture) This is from Kazuya Minekura. It has just recently been licensed by Tokyopop and due to release in Febuary 2007. The plot is as follows: (For those who don't know)
The 1st Vol introduces us to Kubota Makoto as he joins and leaves a Yakuza gang with out so much as razing an eyebrow, we also find out why Kubota has a thing for stray Cat's (the fury kind). We only see Tokito Minoru in flashes in the first vol...
The 2nd Vol is a year after the first Vol and Kubota and Tokito are living together, Tokito seems to have amnesia and is almost naive in a cute kind of way. We learn a little more about WA the drug and are lost a little more as to the two's relationship *grins*... But when they aren't beating the stuffing out of people they play Playstation games! their cool in my sad little world ^_^

I am awaiting the release of Wild Adapter from Tokyopop. I discovered Saiyuki before Wild Adapter unfortunately. ^^' Though once I found Saiyuki I became interested in discovering more of Minekura's work and found... *drum rolls* Wild Adapter.

This isn't exactly a cute and fluffy story. It's dark, gritty, but that just keeps me coming back for more. ^^

Why didn't you tell me you liked Wild Adapter!? I like that series too. Anything by Kazuya Minekura I really like. Dang, how could you not tell me!

Anyway. Onto introductions. I'm Urusei_Baka_Saru, as you already know *evil glare*, and I really enjoy the down and out, gritty world of Wild Adapter. How did I get into it? Same way as the others. I found Saiyuki and wanted to know about Kazuya Minekura's other works. Though I'm digging around to find Bus Gamers. ><+ I'd appreciate anyhelp in that regard.

How did I stumble across the thread? Duh! You sent me the link. And I bet you anything I'll be helping Mtsuka_Chan with the graphics.

I know that there are yaoi innuendos in Minekura's work, but I was quite surprised with Wild Adapter. ^^" And Araiso (a different story with the same characters). After seeing Saiyuki, Wild Adapter sort of caught me off guard.

Though I'm not complaining. I do enjoy the gritty side of Minekura's storytelling. X3

Why do you like the manga?- I like how the fact that it's set in the underworld of drugs, violence, yazuka and the like, but it still keeps you hooked! I also like Minekura's art and that's what drew me to it. The charcters themselves are really well done as well. Especially Kubo-chan! X3
What got you into Wild Adapter in the first place?- I was on the web looking for some manga to read when I came across a review of Wild Adapter. It looked interesting so I downloaded the first volume of it. I found myself hooked and can't wait for Tokyopop to release it in Febuary!! ^^
How did you stumble across this thread?- Saw FallenSin's signature in another thread and clicked. So glad I did! Yay for Wild Adapter!

WILD ADAPTER heart !

Why do you like the manga?: First off, there's the fact that it's all Minekura's wonderful art. Then... there's just... I suppose I'm just a fan of Minekura's sort of gritty take on life that she presents in most all her manga. Wild Adapter also has that.

What got you into Wild Adapter in the first place?: I'd just gotten into Saiyuki and was looking for information on Minekura. I just happened to find out about it that way =3.

How did you stumble across this thread? : Saw a link in someone's sig on another thread ^^.

For anyone interested this is the page that Tokyopop has for the Wild Adapter manga they're releasing. Which I can't wait for and already pre-ordered it. ^^ It'll be great to see it officially released instead of being found on the web.

Awesome! I knew they were releasing it but I wasn't sure of the date. Let's hope Tokyopop doesn't screw up Wild Adapter. They haven't done a bad job with Saiyuki, though I need to post this up. It's from Araiso (Executive Committee) featuring Kubo-chan and Tokito. Though it's completely different from Wild Adapter, but it was too funny. X3 I nearly cried.
